Great experience, worked with Joseph Mundy to create my custom quote off the list, then Britnee from accounting to get the order approved. She was very understanding when the CC validation failed 3 times as I could not get my company billing address right... Keep in mind that they are very strict and require shipping address to be on file with your bank and also require a hand signed authorization form to be faxed or scanned and emailed. All this seems bothersome but justified as they are trying to protect themselves from fraud on multi-thousand dollar purchases.  
 
The system was built and arrived perfectly packaged - don't forget to take out all packaging from inside the case - they secured my enormous CPU cooler inside against movement.  
 
The built quality is outstanding, I have never seen such a cleanly and neatly assembled system. All cables are tucked away, but still accessible for you to add your existing hardware. I put 2 extra hard drives in 5 minutes (4 of those I spent figuring out the modular cable system of the power supply)  
 
Last, but not least, their prices are reasonable, they are probably making about 10% of the price of your system as opposed to 40-50% some other custom builders do  
 
Will recommend AVA to anybody who needs a custom build and tested system!

AVA Direct is a top notch builder , I had not heard of them before, and had already ordered from another vendor. I cancelled and am so glad I did.

After not finding a laptop with the specifications I wanted, a friend recommended I get one made custom from AVADirect. The customization interface was easy to use and the price was well within my range.  
 
There were a few issues during processing that delayed my order - some parts were out of stock, others had to be substituted with slightly different parts. I didn't receive the new laptop until almost a month after placing the order.  
 
However, all throughout the processing phase, AVADirect employees Misha, Joe, and Britnee were in contact with me via the message board for my order and by phone. They were very helpful and responded very quickly. They have also been in touch since I received the laptop to follow up and make sure I am satisfied and answer any questions.  
 
Overall, I had a positive experience with AVADirect.

After reviewing the reviews of AVADirect and two telephone calls with Joe Mundy (excellent customer service skills and technically extremely knowledgeable), I ordered a customised system with some features and hardware not listed on the ordering guide. The system arrived when promised, double-boxed and packed sturdier than a tank (not too mention weighing about as much as one.) I was impressed with the thought and care that went into the packing of the system to ensure that fragile parts would not move around or be damaged. The system booted up faster than I could get situated in my chair comfortably. It has performed with aplomb all the intensive tasks I could throw at it, which includes 3D rendering, massive Excel spreadsheet recalculations and yes, a few games. When I did have a question about some of the vendor software stating that I had a different graphics card than what was installed, Joe walked me through and discovered that it was laziness on the part of the vendor’s software to name for all the cards. In summarisation, I highly recommend this company and will do business with them again. Cheers!

This is a great company. A year and a half after purchase I contacted them about a small problem (couldn't get the computer to wake from sleep mode without a full reboot). I only half expected that anyone would really call me back. They followed up in a timely way, spent about an hour trouble shooting, and ultimately resolved the problem. I remember thinking when I first purchased the computer that the pre sales support was excellent. But you can really judge a company by how well they treat you after they have the money. This is the best computer reseller I've ever worked with.

I was skeptical at first about buying from this company because it seemed almost too good to be true. However, I've had my df900 for a month now, and I'm glad I did. The system works great, and the support has been fantastic. I would definitely buy from them again.

I have nothing but good things to say about AVADirect. They have the best price on the item I bought. The e-mail notifications of my order status were very thorough and complete. I placed my order yesterday *evening* (7:30pm EDT) and had the item in hand 20 hours later. It just doesn't get any faster without using a TARDIS. I'm adding AVADirect to the places I regularly shop. =^)

I had a very good experience buying my new i7 computer build from AVA. Using this computer for freelance vfx work in Los Angeles area so it was also very important to me that it was packaged and padded well for shipping.  
The sales team was polite and helpful in advising me on choosing my hardware/software components. I always recommend buyers do research on the computer components themselves first but the team at AVA is knowledgeable and helpful configuring the right system.

Being for first new rig in several years actually and a cash-strapped student, I researched fairly heavily on different comp builders. Not only did I get a nearly top of the line computer for well under a grand (well, sans peripherals which I already had), but also a really solidly built and stable machine. I (fairly heavily) overclocked most parts in it with no problems, even using stock cooling. Customer service was helpful as well - when I had one small conflict in the specs I ordered, they took care of it quickly. This was one of the cheapest (excuse me, inexpensive) sites I found but performs up there with most of those fancy gaming-pc builders in my opinion without the fancy BS and frills to double the price.

Hello, i resently put together a computer system using Avadirects customization options, I'm a begginer when it comes to customizing computer systems. Within a few minutes Matt Slagle a tech sent us a message concerning my build and how it was outdated. To make a long story short, he set up a new customization option containing more then i thought i could get for about the same price, a big thanks to the guys at Avadirect, its a beast of a system and amazingly put together. Highly recommend this company.
