Purchased a 40" Samsung LCD Series 6 TV from Butterfly Photo. I am very satisfied with the service they provided, especially since my bank refused to make the payment despite the fact that I had plenty of money in my account. I have since switched banks. Because of my bank I was forced to contact Butterfly Photo multiple times to get the order pushed through. I got friendly personal service, did not have to deal with multiple agents, and was never lied to. The TV arrived after the bank issue was ironed out in perfect condition, no dead pixels affecting the visible image, no scratches, and no other problems that could come up because of packing. They packed it up well in another box with an excessive amount of packing air pillows.

Butterfly photo has great prices, and great Camera, I have ordered 2 cameras from them, a Canon XS for my mother, and an XSi for myself. Shipping is cheap (for cameras 20$ for 1-2 day) Only thing that kinda made me mad is that they call you ask try to sell you more thing, which is fine, just say no. Great guys over there though, very helpful.

I ordered a 52" Samsung TV late Monday night. The next day I received a confirmation call by Butterfly Photo. They asked if the shipping address was on file with my visa company since it was not the same as my mailing address. I had asked that they deliver it to my work instead of my home. The sales rep politely asked if I wanted to upgrade from the free shipping and if I needed any cables for my new TV. I declined both and he did not push the subject any further. Later that Tuesday evening when I got home I found a voicemail from my visa company. They had blocked the charge thinking it could be fraudulent. I called Visa and corrected the issue. Wednesday morning I also called Butterfly Photo and let them know all was well and they could rerun the credit charge. I received an email from Manna that afternoon asking that I schedule my delivery. My earliest delivery option was for the following Monday, which of course I chose to have it delivered that afternoon between noon and 4pm. The TV actually arrived in B'ham, AL from NJ on Friday morning, only two days after they shipped it. It sat quietly over the weekend short of a courtesy reminder email from Manna, letting me know they were going to deliver it Monday. Around noon Monday, Manna called and said they were on the way. Upon arrival the driver brought it into my work and helped me open the box. He waited a few minutes for me to connect the power cord and a cheap antenna. After confirming it worked the driver asked that I sign for my new TV. I couldn't be happier with Butterfly Photo's or Manna's service. Based on this one time purchase I would recommend both Butterfly Photo and Manna delivery.

After reading the reviews I was somewhat apprehensive in placing my order with Butterfly Photo. There did however, seem to be one common thread and that was to place my order with a gent named Steve. I called in the morning and spoke directly with Steve. I asked the usual questions (factory USA warranty, no gray market goods, all 'accessories' included, etc.)and after receiving the answers placed my order. I asked Steve if anyone was going to call me tomorrow about my credit card and then try to sell me additional items to which he responded NO.. Several hours later I received an email with my tracking number and a msg that my product would be shipping out that afternoon. My camera arrived in the agreed upon time. It was as described - a USA model with ALL accessories a factory warranty card and was in a factory sealed box. I have NO complaints and have been satisfied with THIS transaction. I am thinking of buying another camera and will certainly look at ButterFly Photo when I get ready to order. Thanks..

I ordered the Panasonic Lumix ZS3 and an extra battery at the same time. They were shipped the next day and only took a few days to get to me. Everything was packed well and just what I ordered. I am pleased with my purchase from this merchant and would search their site when making another photo related purchase to compare prices with others. The price for this item was the best and they had my color in stock. :)

Ordered Nikon D700 Body only on Aug 12, 2009. Received confirmation within an hour and a notice stating that there was a problem charging the credit card (of course this wasnt butterfly photo's fault, my purchase pattern almost never exceeds more than 2k USD). What I didnt understand in this email was the following (copied and pasted straight from email):  
"Please Note: If you are shipping your package to an address other than your Billing address, please contact your credit card company and add an "authorized shipping address" on file."  
I called VISA and they had no idea what I was talking about and ended up escalating my account to be flagged for fraud.  
 
Eventually I got the issue resolved with credit card company and the charges went through. So far so good. After the weekend I called them (this was 3 business days after I placed the order) and they told me it'll ship the next day. Customer service was excellent (answered kindly and patiently). They also upgraded my shipping at no cost to make up the lost time.  
 
Packaging wise, it could use some improvements. The outer box was pretty ding-ed up, and the inner box (ie D700 box) suffered some crumples.  
 
I have to say all in all my shopping experience with them was excellent. Would I use them again? Definitely!

The package my headphones were to be delivered in, mysteriously dissapeared, although claimed delivered by USPS, but have no fear, Butterflyphoto was here. I purchased through Amazon.com and Butterflyphoto contatcted me directly within 3 hours to tell me the good news that a replacement pair was on its way.

Steve,the "magic man" provided me excellent phone service when I ordered a Nikon camera today. I am taking this opportunity to write to regarding my gratitude for that service and hope that this note will be shared with the folks with whom you work at ButterflyPhoto.  
 
To Steve at Butterfly: You are rare, indeed! I order lots of stuff, have numerous calls by phone with people, and have not found someone as knowledgable, personable, witty and responsive as you. In this day and age, not only are you unusual...you are certainly "magical" as well. You went out of your way to answer my questions. You took your time with me and treated me as a long lost friend, rather than a customer. I felt as if you were putting myself in your shoes and responding with the TLC you would have provided yourself. I felt as if I were a person, not an anonymous individual with whom you'd never deal again and therefore not really care.  
 
You were interested in what I had to say, not appearing to be bored with the banter while waiting to process the order. In other words, I basically felt like I was a long term customer in my home town with a friend and business with whom I enjoyed a relationship of trust.  
 
Would I buy from Butterfly Photo again? There is no question: ABSOLUTELY!! However, I would ask for your line and wait, if necessary, until you were available. Your company, in my opinion, offers excellent price, prompt response and excellent service, if I were to judge it on the basis of my phone contact with you today!  
 
Many thanks for renewing my faith in the service nature of phone ordering. You are indeed on your way to becoming the superman of sales, if you haven't reached that lofty echelon already.

Ordered a Panasonic 32 in tv because of the price and free shipping. I made my first call a few days later because my order seemed to be stuck in what they call(managers review)and was told it would ship within two days. Waited seven more days, called, said they would call me back and didn't. Called the next day and they said they would have a tracking # for me by 5 o clock, They didn't. Called to cancel the order 2 days later and they finally had a tracking # for me. My tv finally arrived and in good shape which made me happy because this place would be a nightmare if you had a problem. What really irked me was they charged my credit card 10 days before they shipped the tv. With the economy in bad shape I am sure that someone else would appreciate the business more than these guys. After all was said and done I needed a shower to erase this purchase from my memory.  
 
 
After I wrote the above review I was contacted by their customer service representative Steven. He was concerned about my experience and the negative review I had left and wanted to know what could be done to change my opinion. He offered a 3 yr extended warranty or 30.00 refund on my purchase. While I appreciated the offer I was concerned that it would feel like I was being bought off so I gave it a day to think about it and told him that if after he reads this and still wants to do something to go ahead and send me the warranty. I've read many of their reviews and they seem to be getting better since Steve has started to be involved but as I explained it would be much easier to give the customer service up front instead of trying to clean it up after the fact. I order a lot of stuff online and I like it when the company ships fast (if its in stock) and keeps me informed so I don't even have to make a phone call. Sometimes things happen that are beyond the control of the company and all I need is a little info to keep my patience. If you want to place an order I would be sure to talk to Steven (800-339-9960 x204) and bypass the rest. By the way, the tv arrived in great shape, was in a factory sealed box and all was ok on that end.

Ordered the the Canon Powershot SX1 IS and nothing else. I monitored the invoice status and noticed it had a processing error. I waited for the call or email thinking a sales person would attempt to sell me additional equipment. The email stated it was a billing problem with my credit card. I called the credit card company and security said they were waiting for Butterfly to resubmit the charge as I had authorized the charge after the first submission. I called Butterfly billing department and informed of this and she imediately submitted the charge and was approved. She then said she would send the order on for shipment. The order shipped the same day. I received the camera and it was new in the box with all items as advertised. Great experience!

Butterfly Photo is not just for photo equipment. We ordered a Weber Summit Grill for the best price on the Internet. Ordered it on a Friday with no shipping cost and was told it would be 8 to 10 days, which we thought would be okay, even though we wanted it faster. We tracked it online and it left New Jersey the day we placed the order, was in Ohio two days later and in Chicago on Monday. The delivery service called to schedule delivery and we had it delivered on Tuesday. That is only 4 days after ordering it with an expected 8-10 day delivery. My hats off to Justin, who was pleasant on the phone and got the order correct and on its way in record time. Also, thanks to everyone else in shipping this order and delivering it to a family that can't wait to use it and will use it for years. I would order from Butterfly Photo again and tell all my friends that it's "one of the best". Thanks

Promise is a promise. When you decided to purchase your new electronics online, you certainly expected great price with extraordinary purchase experience. When I was ordering my new Nikon D300 camera, I called three top rated companies and decided to purchase through Steve C at ButterflyPhoto (800-339-9960 ext. 204). This was a very pleasant buy experience that Steve did greatly job. The shipment was quick, however I found it was not the exactly product I wanted. I called Steve the second day, he investigated and asked return the camera for change. I learned the Butterfly Photo ran out of inventory that they have to coordinate with their business partner for a new body. I mentioned we will have vocation soon and would like to have the camera as soon as possible, Steve promised he will try his best to have the camera on the day I expected. I appreciate he worked very close with his colleague JD that make all magic happened. Guess what! They shipped me the right product with overnight carrier! Thank you Steve and JD so much for the great job.

I ordered a Nikon D90 from this store, after searching and reading reviews for weeks. The price was lower than most other big name stores. But everything turn out great. I did exactly as they said in their website, noticing the bank since my shipping address is different from originall billing address, and I called them to confirm that. Then my order was processed right after with "Manual verification" status. I received my camera just 1 day after. No phone call hassel, no trying to sell overpriced accessories.  
I like to thank Butterflyphoto for a good service and give you another star.
