Hookedontronics is horrible, if there is an issue with your order they do not return emails. I have sent 2 each, to customer support and product support. I bought a refurbished unit and all it included was the head unit. When I emailed to question about it all I got was automated emails to read the FAQs which had nothing to do with my questions. This product was advertised with GPS / RCA in/outputs etc.. but the RCA harness, nor GPS receiver, nor power harness or ANYTHING was shipped with it. I ended up spending $150 (which is more than just buying a new unit) on all the accessories that the listing said it had, just so I wouldnt have to deal with them again. F--

Please save yourself some time and money and do not shop with these people. If you have been shipped defective/wrong items, which seems like it happens more than not, you are on your own or pay up big bucks for their mistake. How can anyone do business this way and get away with it is beyond me. Please stay away

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS SELLER. They sent me a known defective, obviously returned Infinity Basslink T. Then, I had to pay $45 to return it to them. THEN, They charged me $58.08 restoking fee AFTER SENDING ME A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. I am out of HALF of what I paid them originally without a product. DOES THAT SOUND LIKE A DEAL TO YOU???

I order and received an Alpine overhead DVD player for my car. Everything was great until it needed service 1 month later and I found out the hard way that Alpine will NOT autorize any repairs from this company since they aren't an authorized Alpine dealer. I also tried contacting Hookontronics several times over the phone and email and NEVER got a reply. Beware because you get a good price but if any happens your on your own. The money I saved went right out the door with the repair.

I received defective merchandise from the seller. I understand that it is not there fault that the merchandise was defective, but their return policy leaves a lot to be desired. I returned the items at my cost, and was then charged a restocking fee, even though the return was defective on arrival! Between return shipping, and the restocking fee, I lost over $70 due to their return policy. The prices and shipping were acceptable, but buyer beware, if you get a bad product, it will cost you!

This store sent me defective product twice, both the original item bought, then the replacement item. I called in their support and they will authorize me to send back the item again, but the sad thing is, I am the one that always pays the shipment back. The Basslink II is available from other stores at $250. Hookedontronics sell it at $220 that's why I chose them to have a lesser price. Since I paid the shipment back amounting to $30, the savings is now gone. And I have to settle to the defective product because I do not want to spend another $30 for every return shipment fee without even a guarantee that I will receive an undefective product the nth time around. I do not believe they are sending a brand new product because the replacement that I received is an opened one with missing cover on the side of the speaker.

I got the product at a good price BUT I was not given a choice on shipping options and they charged me almost $13 to ship a phone charger that would have been $2 or $3 MAX to ship. I will never buy anything from them again because this was a dishonest way to get money from their customer. VERY disappointed in the tactics they used to get more money from me.

Horable customer service. I ordered a pioneer Avic-D2 from them, and before i placed the order i called them and asked them if they are authorized by pioneer to sell and the lady i spoke to said yes you have nothing to worry about. I placed the order and then when i went to call pioneer to let them know There wasnt a navi antenna i the box, they asked where did i buy it i told them and they said they are not on their vender list and i dont have a warrinty.
So i returned it to them and now they said they wont give me a full refund, so i had to do a credit card charge back.... Stay away from you! This review was modified by its author, Wizzard005, on

Very dissapointed in service. Order originally misdelivered by UPS. I called hookedontronics.com and spoke to a woman who said as soon as the package was returned to them it would be resent out to me. It never came. So some time later I emailed them to ask about the status of my order and was told that their products come and go from a different facility and therefore wouldn't be sent out the same day. So I got two different stories. However, it is now over a month since the date I placed the order, and there's still no package at my door and no indication from this company that it was resent.

Vendor made misrepresntations about compatibility of bluetooth headset device, forgot to include necessary U.S. power adapter to charge device (took over two weeks to receive), and then refused to accept return for refund or exchange. Very uncooperative customer service department. There are many competing online vendors that sell similar products....I would strongly recommmend avoiding the hassle of purchasing from this company and instead use one that's more reputible.

I ordered Sony A/V receiver on 1/29/05 and received 2/3/05. I sent back to HOT due to malfunction in the unit. The unit was tested by their technician and sent out for repair, but was delivered damaged to the service center. They no longer had the same model in stock and since I did not send the unit in same box they couldn'y outright exchange(remember I sent for warranty repair, not exchange). Which they would then check to see if they could get similar model to replace it. After 2 weeks of trying to get same model and some emails and phone calls, the focus shifted to the newer model when it in stock. After 6 weeks of being told "it will be here by the end of the week" I finally got my money back minus shipping x 2. After requsting the additional shipping charges refunded, the rsopnse was "We can't verify where the damaged occurred"(Even though they opened, tested and sent it out). I often spoke to their customer service reps probably 2-3 times a week. They all seemed to just go through the motions and put me off for another day. Even after requesting NUMEROUS times to talk to the MANAGER, the response I got was, "He's much too busy for this!"
In summary, They have good prices and shotty Cust. Service. If your products work great then buy all means save a few bucks and order, but I hope you never have any Service Issues.

The customer returned the unit to us used without the original box, a number
of months after the original order was placed. Our company accepted the unit
back for repair per our warranty policy. The customer was very dissatisfied
with the wait time for the repair and we offered a new unit instead, which
we were expecting to come into stock. When the item did not arrive quickly
enough for the customer, we offered a 100% refund, which has been completed.
HookedOnTronics has made every effort to satisfy this customer.

**CANADA BEWARE** $106.00 item cost $288.66 *(1) this company does not allow the use of foreign credit cards. ***(2) you will have to send a wire transfer($20+$10US) the 20 dollars is charged by your bank; the other $10 American is charged by the venders bank. The vender does not tell you about the hidden $10.00 US. I therefore had to send a second wire at another $20 CAN + $10 US to make up the difference of the original $10.00 Shortage. ***(3) The vender told me specifically that there would not be any more charges when I received the item by mail. This was wrong I was charged another $58.00 by UPS for brokerage fees and GST. This would not have bothered me however, I specifically called and ask the question, to which they responded that the money I pay to them will be the total amount I have to cover. Bottom line$106.00 item cost me a total of $288.66. If I would have known all this up front I would have shopped in CANADA!!!

Price of item ordered = excellent.
Web site navigatability = pretty good.
When I Emailed them a question = Did Not Respond!!
When I Placed an Order = Web site confusing! I had to re-submit the order to make it go through.
THEN the order got held up AGAIN because I wanted to drop-ship the order to a different address and they wanted me to call my bank to put that address on the statement. I have never heard of this (what would happen if someone wanted to drop-ship the item to someone else as a gift?). So I had to give up and just send the item to my billing address. Thankfully, when I got to the ordering stage, they did answer my Emails and did straighten out my order, though it took a while for them to respond each time and ended up significantly delaying my order. I think its pretty nconvenient that I cannot pay for something I bought at ebay auction with my credit card on ebay. Click this link, click that link. Why? I guess I don't get it. The more link I have to click and the farther I get from ebay the more I think you just scammed me for $100, but we'll see. Sorry if the bank issuer phone number isn't the number you wanted. And your pages that CC numbers get punched in on does not show that is is a secured page in the address bar, makes me unsure that I'll use you again. I only paid it because of the contract to buy clause with ebay. The CC number field isn't even set to password format. Numbers just out there on the screen for any old hacker to screen shot me and get my numbers. You might want to work on that. Here's to hoping I get my subwoofer. Thanks.

Great prices, good deal on shipping. You really need to get your deal with PayPal together though....most sites with customer-friendly payment procedures link directly to PayPal so the customer doesn't have to do that hoakie 2-step wait for the email dance to pay for the goods....if convenient payment was part of your act, you'd have a top-notch operation!
That being said, I will return for more purchases due to the ease of finding things and your detailed info on them. The in/out of stock data is helpful too.
