I've decided to do business with Vicious because I've contacted several online vendors, and Vicious was the first (and only actually) to respond to my questions. I was contacted by a man named Jacky who was a lot of help, and answered any further questions I had promptly. I finally put in my order yesterday, I will update when i get my system. So far however, I am pleased with the promptness of Jacky and the ViciousPC staff to answer customer concerns :)
update: 4/21
I got the system yesterday, and I have to say I'm pleased with it. I got a great system for a very fair price, and it was everything I expected it to be. The case is really cool looking, and the wiring job on the inside is very organized and well done. The ViciousPC staff have been helpful throughout to answer the questions I had during the process, I would recommend them to anyone who would be interested in buying a good gaming system without having to break the bank. ViciousPC has been a pleasure to do business with and I plan to do business with them in the future when I'm in need of a new system. This review was modified by its author, RyStorm, on

I have had my computer for over a month now & I love it. So far everything is running great. I must say I was a little leary when I figured out the company was smaller than I originally thought but the product is very good and for the first week I am sure I drove them nuts because before I got the computer I had downloaded the newer version of my antivirus/firewall with my old computer and when my new computer came I installed it off the cdr I had it on not knowing it was infected with a virus, I immediately started having problems & thought it was the new computer I called Jacky several times in a state of panic but once it was figured out what was wrong & fixed I have had no problems since & Jacky was extremely patient with my freaking out. Very pleased, my whole family likes it and are so glad we don't have our crappy Dell anymore!

The ordering went really smooth. Got a better price than all other gaming laptops out there. The selection, quality, 10% off, free shipping and free carry case is what really sold me.
Laptop came exactly as I ordered it. Really high quality product. They didn't load it up with alot of usueless software. Came with all Windows/drivers/program discs. Loved everything!!!!
I WOULD like to make a couple recommendations to ViciousPc though;
1. It took about 30 days to receive my laptop. I know that it was cumstom built so I know it takes what I would figure a couple days to put it together. I ordered a custom paint job (which came out beautifully) so I understand that would add another week or so, and then installing software and testing unit is another day or so. So doing the math, a day to process order, a week for painting, a day or 2 to install hardware, a day or 2 to install/test software and 3 to 5 days for shipping, I think 15 to 18 days would have been a more reasonable (and easier) wait time. (Maybe have option to pay extra for a little rush job?)
2. Although I received a call on the day it shipped, it would have been good to receive an email with the tracking number so I could track the package and have a good idea when I would receive it.
That's it! All in all, a very pleasant experience and the end product is awesome. I guess with someone like me (which is probably the majority of the population) I want my product TODAY, but I guess with all good things, you must have patience.
Thanks ViciousPC and I WILL be ordering from you again!!!

Overall I'd have to say I'm blown away by the quality of the machine I bought for the price I paid. I received exactly what was on the invoice, same brands as quoted, no mistakes. I opened the case before I turned it on for the first time to make sure nothing had come loose during shipping and found very neat, tidy cable work and solid construction. It's been running without any problems and is suprisingly quiet. It was my first time ordering from Vicious PC but I'm extremely pleased, and will be ordering from them again in the future. What they lack in aesthetics on their website is made up for by the end product, and I can't complain. The only hiccup during the entire experience was a mix up with the shipping, but that was FedEx's mistake and was quickly sorted out. I also would like to note that they could communicate with their customers a little better in regards to what stage of the build process their rig is in, and an exact ship date, since they didn't charge my credit card until it did ship though, I never had a problem.

Shopped at some of the "BIG" name venders for my computer. Wanted a very high end gaming machine. Don't want to mention names but one is from outer space and one is a bird ;) I stumbled across Vicious on the nVIDIA web site and checked them out. Not only did I save over $500.00; I got the best service I have had in a LONG time. Every time I called Reena was fantastic and patient. I even changed my configuration 3 times in a 3 day period. The only response I got was "no problem". I spoke to Jacky (manager) and about my computer and he actually talked me out of some items I did not need. He could have sold them to me for the profit but, he was honest and let me know that I did not need them. Service after the sale was just as great. Had the computer at my house (he is in L.A. Calif; I'm in Virgina) in less than 2 weeks. As I was setting up the rig my dog got courious and decided that the fan for the water cooler would be a good thing to break. Called Jacky to buy a new one and his response was (after a giggle) "Don't worry I will send you a new one". These folks will have my business for a LONG TIME! Give them a try...you WILL NOT BE DISAPOINTED!!! This review was modified by its author, silverpony, on

Ordered my PC on Tuesday December 6th, 2005. Talked to one of the service representatives. Very helpful. Saved me money and increased the systems performance. Was informed that i would recieve a call to verify my credit card and billing address within 48hrs from the sales dept. They called the next day at 9am. Very prompt. So far very pleased.
I will update when I recieve the system.
System arrived when expected (fedex) looks great and operates perfectly. Everything I expected and more. I called in the day I recieved the system to get some questions answered at 6pm and was directed to help immediately. Very happy with vicious pc. This review was modified by its author, rusty77, on

I ordered the commando SLI rig from Vicious PC. every email and phone call made to the comapany was helpful and covered any questions I had. The ordering process was simple and easy to follow.
The computer itself is outstanding. I've had it for over a week with no bugs or malfunctions. It gobbled up every game and program I've used. Runs smoothly, cool and quiet. They even threw in a T-shirt. I'm wearing it right now as a matter of fact. I would buy from Vicious PC again and highly recommend others to do so.

Got a shogun laptop as a grad gift. It did take a while to arrive, but it came on time. The company called two days after to confirm the order.
I ordered it on the sixteenth of June, and it came the fifth of July, so if you're prepared to wait, they make a really good gaming PC.

Overall I would have to give Vicious PC an A rating. After spending a fair amount of time comparing dozens of laptops that met my needs, Vicious PC won out easily.
I wanted thin, wide, and fast, the Shogun became the PC that I used as my anchor for comparison. For graphics and resolution the ATI 9700 Pro W/ 256 RAM was a huge part of my decision. I have many ATI products in various PCs around my home that have served me well, so naturally I was delighted with the card. Everything else was just my own preference, I upgraded the RAM to 1Gig and went with the 7200-RPM Hard Drive.
For me, the 15% instant discount closed the deal, I got a lot of laptop for the price I paid. The PC is working wonderfully, well beyond my expectations.
The only complaint I have is really just a personal annoyance. I received a phone call confirming my order that I could not understand. I’m sure we have all fallen victim to a computer help center in a different country. I understand the necessity of having multilingual employees in this worldwide information age, but I don’t think I should have to go over to my Chinese neighbor for help understanding a phone message.
I mention it for the sake of venting as it pertains to previous encounters and wish it not to reflect poorly on Vicious. I have an excellent computer at an absolute outstanding price!

Though at first there were some mishaps in regards to correctly identifying my name after placing an order and having me fax over an authorization form (the first attempt did not go through), I am ultimately satisfied with my experience with ViciousPC. The product is bar none one of the best I've ever owned, and I've owned many. The red tape was worth it, I highly recommend.

Purchasing from vicious pc was never easier. I chose to call the company rather than order from the site because I felt more secure talking to someone directly that I was going to shortly give my $1875 dollars to.
I chose to go with the "Shogun" Centrino laptop model, because it was thin, powerful, and had a long battery life. I ordered the laptop as follows:
2.0Ghz Centrino processor
1GB DDR 400 Ram
60GB 7200RPM Hard disk
Wireless card
DVDRW drive
No OS. (Yes you can order the laptop without OS if you request it over the phone. I saved $70 dollars because I had my own Operating System). I also ordered 2 day air for an extra 22 dollars to zip code 06082.
The sales associate was very curtious and patient, understood everything what I was asking. I placed my order on Feb 18th, and was sent an email, saying to expect a tracking number by the 28th.
I recieved a tracking number on Friday night, 3 days before expected. I called to see what the status is of my order when I saw the money deducted from my account, and was later emailed saying that the tracking number had been created.
I will update this review with more information AFTER I recieve the laptop to review the quality of the product. I am expected to recieve the laptop based on UPS shipping information on March 1st.
******UPDATE******
I recieved the laptop as expected on the 1st of march according to ups. The box was packaged great, lots of materials, nothing was damaged. I took out the laptop and examined it. I found that the laptop was very well made had a nice design, sleek look. Very thin for its power. I loaded windows on the machine with ease, the supplied cds were very easy to load. The laptop driver CD had an auto install that helped alot.
The laptop also came with a free carry case that was not advertised on their site, which saved me about 50 dollars.
Overall, I would strongly recommend Viciouspc as a laptop purchase, and had ZERO problems or complaints. This review was modified by its author, cryogenicstudios, on

My experience with Vicious PC continues to impress and reinforces my opinion that this company is out to make the best gaming machine even if they have to build you a new one.
And because of problems with the Commando SLI rig I bought in February, Vicious built me an entirely new high-end rig at no extra cost (save for the extra and higher-end memory I wanted). They even special ordered me a titanium Quantum case to replace my black one.
Here's what happened. As I wrote earlier, the power supply on my original rig went on the first day and they replaced it free of charge.
All was well for a month and a half. Then I began to notice that the computer was running slowly. Eventually Windows wouldn't start up despite all my efforts and their phone support. Then the memory gave out and the company overnighted me two new sticks.
But that didn't solve the problem either. After reformatting and reinstalling Windows, still no luck.
So I asked Vicious to build me a new PC and they did. No arguments, no 'it's your fault.' No excuses. I asked and they said 'yes' on the spot.
I don't blame Vicious for the problems. Anyone who has an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe board knows the problems this mobo has had with early BIOS on it as mine did. And most current power supplies, even standard the 500W that came in the original rig were not getting enough power to the two graphics cards in SLI.
Vicious knew this because they upgraded their power supply to an Enermax 535W SLI ready.
A bad company would have nickled and dimed me or kept making me RMA the power supply and whatever, forcing me to make it right. Vicious did not.
Once again I had this great support guy,Tommy, who's not only helpful but recognized the problem and stepped up to resolve it.
I've seen a few reviews here that say that Vicious charges your credit card early and ships late. They hasn't been the case with me. They built me a new machine while my old one was in transit and did not put any charges on my card until the new machine with upgraded memory shipped.
The new rig runs faster and quieter than the old one, with upgraded BIOs, to 1.07, upgraded NVidia drivers, etc. It's an awesome rig.
Sure, I've had some frustration, but I have never felt that I could not call Tommy and get the service I needed.
When you go with leading edge technology, you have to expect problems.
A company can throw the best stuff in a rig, but if it isn't calibrated right, forget it. Imagine Dell building a new rig for a customer? I would've been in RMA hell with a big computer maker because 30 days had passed.
So take my advice. Go with these guys if you want service after the first few months.
I couldn't be happier with they way Vicious has handled my problems. I hope there are no more issues, but even if there were, I still feel confident that this company would go all out to resolve them. This review was modified by its author, banfet, on

I was looking for a specific laptop (after 6 months of searching and comparing) and found it at this site (Shogun model. AKA Uniwill 259IA3). Between 3 different merchants with similar prices, the discount at purchase time and free shipping won me over.
I placed my order on 1/22/2005 (a Saturday). Monday I received a call from Vicious PC to confirm my order and that there were no changes. Some information I found at www.notebookforums.com indicated the price may be a little off, but no additional charges were quoted to me. The ship date was estimated to be 2/2/2005. I decided to wait until 2/3/2005 and call if it hadn't shipped.
The item did not ship 2/2/2005 as estimated, so I called on 2/3/2005 and found the item was backordered. I recommend calling (maybe even pestering:) them to check on the status of any specific system. But I did not cancel my order as they stated that they expected some in and to call them on Wednesday the next week (2/9/2005) if I hadn't heard from them.
I received an email from UPS on 2/8/2005 that the item shipped and was expected to arrive 2/14/2005, which it did.
The item was packed quite well. The shipping container was a box for a standard PC filled with shipping peanuts and another box. After going through 4 boxes I found the laptop. None of this was a hassle.
All necessary CDs were included with the laptop in a separate box. The laptop powered on right out of the box (the battery was low and needed charging). So far, this system has been VERY stable and I am even using it as a digital audio workstation with the on-board audio (which usually isn't possible).
Ths laptop itself is a little larger than I expected, but not outlandish considering the 15.4" screen.
Though the select of laptops is small (3), they are priced right (mine was $1450US) and give extremely good bang for the buck. The laptops are more generic than the big name company's have, but so far I have had a pleasant experience.
Though I did have to call to find out the status of the order (no online order tracking), the people I talked to were very pleasant and easy to deal with. If it had taken longer, I may have canceled my order, but I also knew what I was getting was a custom system from a small company. It might have been different if I was buying a Dell or something.
I would recommend this company for anyone looking for a fast laptop (they sell other systems, too) at a reasonable (I was going for cheap:P) price.
