I have been dealing with Weaknees for about 8 years now. They are absolutely the best I have found for Tivo parts and Hard Drive upgrades. I have had hard drives go bad and ordered items that did not work for me and everytime, they took care of me quickly and with the utmost professionalism.
I wish every company I dealt with was like them.
I refer all of my DirecTV and Tivo friends to Weaknees and now that I found out they can supply hard drives for uVerse, I make sure all of my uVerse friends know about them as well.
Thank you Weaknees for years of outstanding service.

Hello,
I just could not let this experience go un told. First, I googled to find a place where I could have my Tivo serviced. Next. I found Weaknees.com..a masterful website. Most websites will try to take your money first before either giving you alternatives or other options to resolve your problem. Not Weaknees.com. This site was remarkable. Not only was the site easy to navigate, but also it was also very informative. I was able to narrow down my search to resolve my specific issue and as a result I ordered a power supply pack.
I followed the instructions on how to remove my power supply in my Tivo and it was as simple as ABC. I believe a cave man could have followed those instructions they were so simple. Usually very technical issues you find that the people who are specialized in it find it difficult to simplify instructions for the average Jane and Joe, not Weaknees.com the website and those that are responsible for it are masters of their trade.
I am not savvy with electronics but I walked away from this experience actually feeling like I learned something. I also emailed prior to my purchase and the response time was similar to a micro minute (lol) I’m kidding but it was so fast I almost thought it was an automated response until I emailed again and the email had more specific details to my question that only a human could have composed. I called the customer service sales department and spoke with a gentlemen (sorry I didn’t get his name) who processed my order and he too was very polite, professional, efficient and knowledgeable as I asked him a few questions and he answered them as he could without having the device in front of him. I want to thank him as well for adding to my wonderful experience. I hope there is a place where I can add my experience to a feedback or blog area. People should know about your website and I am sure they will have the same if not better (if that’s possible-lol) experience.
I will be sure to email back the results of the purchased power supply pack.
Your company has a terrific team of web designers, instruction writers, and customer service (phone and email) representatives. Keep up the great work. I will definitely spread the word.
P.S. The multiple pay options is also fantastic.

I am very happy with the hdr drive I received from weaknees and the excellent upgrade instructions. The upgrade was easy and the tivo worked on the first turn-on.I had a worry that my Phillips series 1 being as old as it was would not re-fix but it did. Thanks I like your company and its services. I will recommend it to all my friends .

My Series 2 TiVo suddenly failed: the fan ran but no front lights or video output. I posted a query on the Weeknees repair inquiry form, and within a day, I got back the recommendation to try one of their replacement power supplies. I received it when expected according to the shipping option I chose, and installed it following the detailed online installation instructions. The TiVo booted normally and is once again working fine.

My Series 2 TIVO recently stopped displaying video, and the light on the front didn't come on, but the fan turned. I have lifetime service on it. I was pretty sure I was going to have to chuck it, along with the programs stored on the hard drive AND the lifetime service. Then a friend told me about WeaKnees. I looked around their site, decided that maybe my power supply had died, and ordered one from them. It arrived in a couple of days, was even BETTER than the one I had picked out, and I was able to install it myself in about a half hour - and 15 minutes of THAT was trying to find the compressed air to blow out the dust bunnies! Voila, I fixed my TIVO, and saved my lifetime service (not to mention the Dodgers game where my friends were caught singing during the 7th inning stretch) - thanks to WeaKnees, and their terrific website! I am so grateful to them. I would never have thought it was that easy. My boyfriend was amazed - he was sure it was toast. Weaknees really provides a great service. I recommend it to anyone needing TIVO help. Go look around, see for yourself. I think I'm going to upgrade my hard drive next!

WeaKnees has been and remains an outstanding company in my opinion. My dealings with WeaKnees go back to the early 2000 when I purchased a hard-drive upgrade for my first Sony TiVo. Since that time I have purchased numerous DVR’s, a modem and other equipment from WeaKnees. Support is excellent—they have answered my e-mail questions on the weekend. Purchased products are shipped immediately. I discovered WeaKnees by accident while surfing the web and feel very lucky to have found the company as I’m addicted to my dvr. I just purchased a direct tv dvr (1000 hour sd) because direct tv isn’t going to broadcast HD to my beloved TiVo HR10-250 anymore. I give WeaKnees a 10 out of 10. WEAKNEES RULES.

For any Tivo user, this is a great site. They are very responsive to emails. They will help diagnose your Tivo problem and suggest a remedy. In my case they diagnosed a dead hard drive from what I told them. I ordered a new (and better) hard drive from them and installed it with their easy to follow instructions. Great site for all Tivo users. Use them!!!

A joy to do business with and very helpful. I had a great experience shopping with weaKnees. I asked them a lot of questions and wanted help troubleshooting before making a purchase. I found them to be efficient and courteous in responding to my e-mails. My purchases, including one return were handled on time and keeping with their advertised policies.

Just wanted to say thanks for the super quick delivery and incredibly easy installation of my new hard drive for my Pioneer DVR/DVD. I appreciate the super clear instructions. I had the new hard drive installed within 10 minutes. If you can operate a screw driver, you can perform your own installation! Again, thanks!

Well I just had an unpleasant experience with them. Ordered a drive for the TiVo HD and received a drive formatted for the Series 3. On top of that I was charged shipping when I selected Free Ground at checkout. Seems there's 3 points during the checkout process in which you can select shipping options and at each of these points their system reverts back to charging you for 2 day shipping and it's up to you to catch them in the act.
Called their CSR line to try and fix everything (the drive mix-up, the shipping) and was told it was all "your mistake." They decided to be gracious (sarcasm) enough to replace my drive with one properly formatted to my TiVo, of course it would be at my expense for shipping. I then told this CSR that after this I can't ever see myself shopping with them again and his words were "Ces't la Vie." and he then hung up. What a wonderful guy, and such a lovely company.

GREAT! GREAT! GREAT!
That is the very best way to describe weaKnees. I have been involved with service-centric industries for over 20 years and it is very rare to find a company as knowledgeable or as courteous as weaKnees.
During the pre-sales phase, I BOMBARDED them with questions, via emails regarding a VERY new technology... something the DirecTV installers are not even trained on yet (a Single Wire Multiswitch). Even though we were communicating via email and after hours (Sunday evening) they responded within SECONDS and gave me every bit of info I needed.
My package arrived on time and was packaged properly so the expensive gear was protected. Everything was exactly as described online and came with even MORE helpful literature.
When DirecTV came by to do the install they were clueless. The tech had never seen the new SWM and had no idea how to install it. However, Jeff, Max, and Nick, at weaKnees were standing by via a toll-free number to answer EVERY question. We called them probably 10 times that afternoon and each time they were helpful, respectful, and as professional as one could hope for.
At one point, because of the DirecTV tech, I thought I might have to return the unit I purchased. weaKnees was only too happy to send out a replacement. I later called to cancel that order and they were courteous again.
What more can I say? If they were local I'd offer to buy them lunch. Just know that you will be MORE than satisfied with the team at weaKnees. They truly are great at what they do.

I'm out of the dog house! My wife is hooked on her tivo and when the hard drive crashed. I needed to get it up and running in a hurry luckily I found weakKnees through a search and with your quick service all is back to norm in the house hold. Keep up the great work! Your service was nothing short of outstanding."

I've been doing business with Weaknees for almost 6 years. I've gone through 2 DirecTivos (one took a lightening hit...RIP.) and I'm now on my third drive. Need more space! Always Quick and Competent service from these guys at fair prices!

My power supply shorted out on my TIVO box and I didn't know where to turn for help. I Googled "fix tivo" and www.weaKnees.com" was the first choice. They had exactly what I needed, at a good price, and shipped it in three days as promised. I'm back in business! Communicating with them was fast and easy, and they really cared about my order.

I'm a 76 yesr old guy with very limited electronic experience. The guys at WeaKness diagnosed my Tivo as a bad Hard Drive. They convinced me I could do the installation. I ordered the Hard Drive, shipment was prompt, I used the excellent on line instructions to install the Hard Drive. The unit works just great. My wife thinks I'm a genius. The Tivo has a special meaning to us, it was a 50th anniversary gift from our chrildren. The guys at WeaKness can explain technical stuff in such a way that a novice can understand. Thanks WeaKness.
