I purchased a tv stand. They wanted me to call to confirm (foto connection) Then the salesman told me the cost and it was higher than advertised. So I called talked to a lady told her to cancel my order. She never sent and email confirming she cancelled it so I went to the bank put a stop on any withdrawls from my account. Unfortunally, a week later they withdrew 329.00 out but I went to the bank and the bank is replacing my money and handling the foto connection people. They also went ahead and shipped the tv stand but I didn't take it I told ups I cancelled the order and it was returned. For now on I will google reviews before purchasing anything else off the internet.Foto connection doesn't stand by their ads, they have rude sales people and they try to intimidate you. I don't advise anyone to even think about this company.
Avoid these guys if possible. When I called to confirm an order I was told the lens was a manual focus lens and was talked into spending another extra $100 that I could ill afford to get an auto focus lens. This more expensive package contained items I really didn't want, but after listening to the same spiel at 3 other of these NY based photo shops I gave in (unfortunately) and purchased the higher priced package. After looking at what was advertised on the web site and what the final invoice listed I noticed that I was receiving the same lens, which after checking the Canon website is the standard lens on camera packages. In other words I was outright lied to to get me to spend more.
Just an update: Have talked to 3 different people there and everyone gives a different BS answer to my complaints. Want me to pay to ship it back. BBB here I come. Avoid these guys under their myriad of names at all costs:

4U Digital
Digital Net Shop
ePhoto Club
Inoax
One Stop Camera & Computers
Rite Buys
Superior Dealz
The New Connection
The New Connection Home Appliances & Electronics

The whole group is listed as unsatisfactory by the BBB.

WHERE DO I BEGIN?? My only hopes in writing this review is that prospective buyers read this first and AVOID, and I mean AVOID FOTO CONNECTION. I was in need of 2 digital cameras as Christmas gifts for my children. After doing my research I stumbled across the fotoconnection.com website. I was shopping on Cyber Monday and they had several deals listed for the day as did many other websites that I search. Their deal was not only lower in cost for the cameras they also offered buy one get one free on memory cards and each camera purchase would come with a free case, tripod and cleaning kit. After asking several questions regarding the items they sell and the reputation of the company via the on line customer service link, I decided to purchase. Well, I sent my payment and figured as all on line purchases , that my part was done. Well, WAS I WRONG !! After about 15 minutes I received a phone call from the RUDEST CREAP I HAVE EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH IN MY LIFE. He introduced himself as being from Foto connection and he was calling to verify my order. Well, he then proceeded to tell me that the cameras that I purchased were only coming with a 15 minute trial size battery and that I would have to purchase longer life batteries. I then told him that I had done my research and do know that the that the cameras come from the factory with full length batteries. He then recanted when I called him on it and told me he never said that, only wanted to know if I wanted to purchase backup batteries. I declined. He then started on the HIGH PRESSURE upsell of extended warranties. As I declined the price went from $169.99 each and continued to fall from there all the way to $39.99 each camera. At this point I was so worked up and worked over I was not going to spend one more dime with this scam deal. I wanted the cameras and hoped that I would at least get those. Prior to hanging up with him, I asked him how much they would be charging my card. He gave me a total including the warranties. I then had to yell and tell him to take off that charge as I did not authorize him to put them on my sale.( I only turned him down a total of 10 maybe 11 times). He got mad at me and hung up on me. I then contacted the Customer Service Dept. via phone and asked one of the girls to give me the total of my sale to insure he hadn't placed those charges. I told her what he had said about the battery life at first and she then told me that indeed I was not getting full life batteries with the cameras. The Cameras I purchased were considered "starter kits" not "retail kits"!!! I was so mad. I told her to cancel my order. She then transferred me back to the same JERK that I had talked to prior. He then transferred me back to her and so on. Finally, the SO CALLED MANAGER got on the phone and told me that he was going to make everything right. He understood I was upset and that he was going to give me the full sized batteries as well as the power chargers for free. (at his loss of course). I then crossed my fingers and hung up. Well I sweated it out for the next 5 days wondering if I was even going to get my goods. Surprise Surprise they did arrive. The cameras did come with the chargers and batteries as he promised. However, I did not get the free cases, cleaning kits and tripods. I called the customer service department this morning and after waiting on hold for approx 20 minutes, I got the customer service rep. I explained my issue. She then told me that I was indeed entitled to the kits however, I would have to pay $9.99 each for shipping. I then told her that they were supposed to be free and she said that that was handled by the promotional dept and needed to be shipped separately but she'll do me a favor and ship them both for the one cost of $9.99. Needless to say, I declined. She then told me that if I agreed to go to their website and give them a RAVING REVIEW She would send them for free. I told her that SHE DID NOT WANT ME TO LEAVE A REVIEW FOR THEM. IT WOULD NOT BE A GOOD ONE. She then YELLED AT ME AND SAID "OK THEN -- YOU WANT TO PAY THE $9.99 EACH THEN??" I told her that not only am I going to leave a horrible review on every website I can find, I was also going to Contact the BBB regarding their scam practices. She then YELLED AGAIN " GO AHEAD AND DO WHATEVER YOU WANT" and then proceeded to hang up on me. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE ENCOUNTERED ON THE WEB !!! SAVE YOUR SANITY, SPEND A FEW DOLLARS MORE AND GO TO EITHER A RESPECTED AND HEARD OF SITE OR GET IN THE CAR AND HEAD TO YOUR LOCAL ELECTRONICS STORE. THE FEW BUCKS YOU SAVE ARE DEFINATELY NOT WORTH IT !!! TAKE IT FROM ME AND ALL THE OTHERS THAT HAVE BEEN STRONG ARMED BY THIS SO CALLED COMPANY. TURN AND RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!
The company advertised a new camera Fuiji Fine pix f31fd. They sent to me a used camera without manual, strap, A/V cable, without proper software.
After talking to them they sent to me a home-made CD with software, downloaded from the web.
They are criminals, and I will pursue this issue with the proper state and federal authorities.
Moreover, there are indications that they are monitoring this web site for new registrations, which may involve another criminal vioaltion.
I wish I had seen the poor rating for www.FotoConnection.com before buying from them. BAD EXPERIENCE. I bought a Sony camcorder and a Sony backup battery for the camcorder. They charged my credit card more than authorized and then sent a generic battery that did not match what was listed on the order and on the shipping invoice. I plugged the battery into the Sony camera and the camera display showed the battery was not compatible with the camera. They gave me two choices: 1) live with it or 2) pay a 15% restocking fee for the camera that cost about 10 times the battery. VERY POOR SERVICE.
I had a very unhappy experience with this vendor, as they sent me the wrong lens filter adapter and I could not protect the lens, use filters etc.--as their was no way to cover the lens. I tried to resolve the issue, but my call went unreturned so I worked with my credit card issuer who eventually assisted me. When I initially called to place my order, the rep I spoke with was rude, brash and upsold me on expensive accessories that I did not need.
ON MONDAY MAY 17, 2004 I ORDERED A NIKON D70 DIGITAL SLR KIT OVER THE PHONE FROM JOHN AT EPHOTOCLUB. I WAS TOLD THAT THE CAMERA WAS A FULL USA WARRANTY PRODUCT AS LISTED ON THEIR WEBSITE. SEVERAL DAYS LATER IT ARRIVED WITHOUT A WARRANTY REGISTRATION CARD AND US SOFTWARE AND THE OWNERS MANUAL WAS PHOTOCOPIED. I CONTACTED NIKON AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY SENT ME A GRAY MARKET NIKON NOT COVERED BY THE NIKON USA WARRANTY. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!!

very slacl customer service no email confirmations of order, have spent over 6 hours on dold while waiting to find out a shipping confirmation number 10 ten days later i have not recieved my equipment or a shipping number
it appears this copany is bending everyone over taking money and sending out absolutly nothing. I hope they end up in prison and i can assure you they won't be so frugal. They stole $549.98 and I never received my flash or my lens that I would call back and thank him for. Its truly to bad people like this will ruin a very convenient way to shop. O'well will all have to go back to the old fashioned way where we can use all of our senses detect legitimacy.
TERRIBLE!! CRIMINALS!! NEVER ORDER FROM HERE!!
I HAVE 100% PROOF THAT THEY ADDED $200 OF STUFF TO MY ORDER. THEY STILL REFUSE TO TAKE IT BACK. MY NEXT STOP IS THE Better Business Bureau.
I wanted to purchase 2 cameras from this compagny, after 3 days no news (email or phone) so I called them up just to find out that they wanted to sell me some memory card and that I could only buy 1 camera. Those people are trying to rip people off be careful...
This is the worst online company I have ever dealt with! The vendor would try to sell you extra stuffs (over-priced - e.g. memory card, they were trying to sell me a 128M memory card for $109, which can be bought at other stores for just about $50) after you submitted your order. That is fine! However, after I requested to return those unneeded stuffs, the process became such a nightmare! My email requesting for RMA# was consistently ignored by the ePhotoClub till I placed numerous phone calls. The promised refund was not received as of today(3 months by now) It ended up that my Credit card company needs to get involveded in disputing for the refund for me.
If the reputation of a company is rated by the post-sale service, then I do not recommend ePhotoClub to anyone if people want to avoid the hassle of returning merchandise!!!

I ordered a sony camcorder April 3rd. Next day, April 4th, a pushy sales rep. Teddy called to complete the order with intent to sell you more product(over-priced). After all the hassle, I bough a 2-days shipping and Teddy confirmed the product is in stock and shipped the same day. April 14, nothing was arrived and called ephotoclub's customer service. They said order has not been shipped because they have it in stock a day before. So they promised to shipped it right away ahould receive tracking# by next day. April 16, time of this writing, nothing happen. When I tried to call them to cancel the order, they close the store for 4 days. They charged ($500+) to my credit card on April 4th. Till today, I received nothing more then lie. Wish me luck, I can get my money back.
For some reason these jokers decided they needed to confirm my order by phone. I am out of the country and didn't get their confirmation email for 2 days, and it will cost me several dollars just to call and confirm it.
I was having this shipped to my wife at our credit card billing address so I don't know what their deal is. I do know that I will never shop from them again. When I order off the web, I want a quick, hassle-free order. If I wanted to deal with some sales rep trying to upsale my order, I would have gone to a store instead.
