Wow,I really wish I read these reviews sooner.  
 
I purchased a slide card/magic swap cd from them, never received an email until I emailed them 2 days later saying I wanted to cancel my order, which is when I found this site. They send a reply 3 days later saying they cannot refund me since they shipped it. So yea they charged me a couple days later for the stuff.  
 
The only way I found their contact email is through this site. TO ALL POTENTIAL SHOPPERS, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE, there are much much better alternatives such as modchipman.com but regardless. Get some background info before you shop. Thanks and have a nice day.  
 
UPDATE:  
I emailed them asking for some kind of invoice, so they replied today with an invoice. I was shocked to see that they listed my entire cc# as method of payment rather than just showing the last 4 numbers. Now I've been an online shopper for a while but this is just retarded that they would submit that kind of information so blatantly and carelessly.  
Obviously I don't plan to do business with them again.  
 
UPDATE 12/19/04: I've yet to receive the modchip that they said they sent me and honestly, I don't expect it to ever arrive.  
 
UPDATE 2/2/05: Well its been a while and guess what? I still haven't received the mod chip that I've been charged for. I beg all potential buyers, stay away from sites like these so that they can hopefully no longer do business.

I ordered form these clowns and even paid for expedited shipping. I never got a confirmation email nor did I receive a response to multiple emails. I cited several of the complaints on this board and stated that, idealy, I would much rather be the one guy to leave a glowing review if they just did what they had promised. I emailed them in English and German and eventually threatened legal action as well as contacting Paypal.  
These guys are terrible. Stay AWAY!

I placed an order with them about three weeks ago and have heard nothing from them. They don't return emails and have no phone number to call. I am in the process of disputing the charges.

I placed an order with modchip.com and did not even get an invoice. No email confirmation either. After not getting confirmation from them, I sent an email this morning asking about the status of my order. Still have not heard anything from them.  
 
Do yourself a favor and don't even think about ordering anything from this site. They don't even have a phone number for customers to call in. Why do business with them when they don't even care about their customers. Absolutely the worst place to buy anything from.

I meant to place an order through mod-chip.com, but messed up and left the "-" hyphen out of the url and wound up in the modchip.com web site. Big mistake on my part. I tried to go back and cancel my order, but there are no phone numbers to call, no customer service, no means to cancel via their website. I got no response to my emails, even after I threatened with contacting the police. I contacted my VISA card folks, and modchip.com had within hours of ordering charged my account for the price of a modchip +shipping. The VISA folks claim they are helpless and cannot help me, telling me to wait a reasonable amount of time for the item to arrive. Then to file a dispute claim with them if it does not.  
 
Modchip.com has not emailed a confirmation, has not responded to any or my later emails, yet they were pretty quick to charg my account. It worries me that I may not get my merchandise at all, and that I'll be out the money. I definitely do not get a warm and fuzzy feeling about this order.  
 
I am going to take whatever steps necessary to complain to as many services as I can regarding modchip.com. These folks are definitely poor business. NOT RECOMMENDED!

After numerous emails with no repsonse I finally got an answer to one. The first portion of the email reads:  
 
"Dear customer,  
 
thank you for your mail, your order has been cancelled. We will credit  
back 37 USD to your account.

They don't give a time for reimbursement. So I called my credit card company. This how payments to merchants are made:  
 
1) Merchant scans,swipes, or types in your credit card no. for preauthorization to dispense money from your account. Money is "set aside" in suspense pending disbursement.  
 
2) Money is held in suspense for 5-10 days during which time the merchant takes action to have money disbursed to them, ie. after goods are shipped. When exactly withing this 5-10 day period the preauthorizarion expires if goods are not shipped is determined by the software system your VISA uses, and the customer service person was unable to tell me what triggers the system to cancel this preauthorization to expire more sooner, or later.  
 
3) If money is not disbursed with 5-10 days the preauthorization expires and no money is no longer authorized to be disbursed to this company, and merchant would have to refile for preauthorization all over again.  
 
Presently I am the beginning of this this 5-10 day window, which means that within the next 5 days this preauthorization against my acct by modchip.com will expire.  
 
Whew! All I can say is DO NOT order from these people. Obviously there is a language barrier, it is very hard to communicate with these folks. Then there is the distance involved - excessively long shipping times. AVIOD THESE FOLKS!!

Contacted credit card company to see the status of modchip.com's "refund" to my account. Not only did they not cancel my order, they charged my account $37. Of ocurse I blew up on the visa customer service guy since I have been complaining since last week that modcip.com is a fraud - they still went ahead and let them charge my account. Modchip.com suxs. Visa says they'll remiburse the money - just all the trouble I am having to go through....

The chip I received was broken. I have sent emails in for the past 3 months with no response whatsoever!! NO TELEPHONE SUPPORT, NO EMAIL SUPPORT. GUARANTEED?? HOW?

After I ordered from this company, I began to realize that it is not run very efficiently. For a confirmation e-mail, all I received was a message indicating that my order had been received and that I'd get my order soon. The website advertised 4-6 days shipping time. I ordered on 1/25/04. What they do not tell you is that the company is in Austria. So, after reading all of the poor reviews on resellerratings.com I became worried. modchip.com hardly ever responds to your e-mails and they have no other contact information on their website. My modchip finally came on 2/14/04, three weeks after I had ordered it. My advice is this: I would use another company. IF you do decide to use modchip.com, I would get the UPS shipping option, so you can at least get a tracking number. If you use the express mail shipping option, be patient and be ready to wait three weeks for your item. While my transaction was ultimately a success, I feel that there was a great deal of stress associated with my order since I could not contact the company and since it took three weeks to get my order. With all of the other modchip sites out there, your options are plentiful, and I would use modchip.com at your own risk.

I ordered a XBIT mod chip and a psx stealth mod chip from these guys after not being able to find any other mod chips in stock. A friend recommended me to this site and after much hesitation I finally ordered it. A couple days later I did some research and found much horror about how they don't send out their products and charge people's cards, etc. I was very freaked out because I've never been robbed on the internet before and have purchased many many things online.  
 
So I had a panic attack and called my bank to get information on stopping the payment. They told me that since It's already pending I couldn't stop really do anything until the payment went through and I could challenge it at any time so I decided to wait for about a month before I do anything with the bank. Then I tried to contact my friend all day to see if he actually ever purchased something from modchip.com or if he just linked me to the first modchip site he found. He told me that he did buy a psx mod chip from them but it was 2 years ago.  
 
So I worried and worried and finally emailed them to get some sort of information on my order. They responded within 24 hours saying they sent my modchip on January 12th. I didn't really believe it, but I told my self to be patient before I cancel the payment and cause a big fuss.  
 
The package arrived on Friday January 30th 2004 before I went to work. I couldn't believe it. A package from Europe. I opened it up and sure enough the modchips were in there with color instuctions provided by the seller.  
 
I got two modchips in 20 days from Austria to New Mexico and I couldn't feel any more embarrassed for wanting to cancel my order out of panic. I hope this review will calm someone down if they did their research after they buy (like me). I can't imagine how many order cancelations they must get because of the reviews here. Maybe that's why I got mine so fast ;-).

HORRIBLE!! This company is definately a scam. I purchased in good faith from them, and found it strange that I did not get an acknowledgment page or email from them. After emailing them several times, they acknowledged my order and said I would receive it within 3-5 days from the order date. 3 weeks later I still have nothing, they claim that my local postal service must be slow. I buy regularly from the internet, I know a scam when I see it. Not only am I cancelling the order through my credit card company, I'm cancelling my credit card before they escalate the scam. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

This is the worst service ever. Never Buy from this service. They state that they have ship the product and it never arrives. i purchased mine in early December and was shipped on the 19th and it is January 10th and still yet to receive the product. They fail to issue refunds on their product. enough said im never going to purchase from them again and telling all of my friends the same.

This company sent an initial e-mail response to my order, but would not respond further with an invoice or shipping information.  
 
I waited two weeks for them to respond with no results then cancelled the transaction.  
 
Use this company at your own risk.

OH MY GOD! THESE GUYS ARE A BUNCH OF SCAM ARTIST! Dont ever buy from them. Im obviously not the only one that this has happend to. Ive lost count as to how many email's ive sent them cancelling my order trying to get my money back and NOTHING. Not a single response. Stay away from these people at all cost. I eventually got my modchip from modchipman.com THEY are awsome. Recieved my order within the week. And I live on the other side of the US from them (Canada to Florida). Well if anyone can help me as to how I can get my money back I would greatly appreciate it. modchip.com is based in Austria and I have no idea how to get my money back. PLEASE HELP!

it's November 17, 2003 and i din't hear anything about my order. I sent fax couple emails. Credit card proccesing didn't give me any confirmation or any iformation stating that transaction did go through or not. As far as i am concerned i am not confident about it.  
 
It's November 17, 2003 few hours later i sent them  
couple more emails and ofcorse didn't receive any response. I canceled my credit card and sent them offencive email stating that i am contacting Austrian police etc. right after this email i got response from them:
