Placed my order on Dec 11, 2007, at consoleshop.com, which is modchip.com's sister site. I got a notification saying delivery would be 3-6 business days. My CC was charged right away. After two weeks without hearing anything, I emailed asking for an order status. Didn't get a response, and went looking for customer reviews online. I became very concerned by some of the reviews, but decided to wait a while longer as some people had said they received their orders very late. I emailed one more time, again no response. I finally received my order from Monaco in perfect condition on December 31, 2007, but never did get a response to any of my emails. Terrible (zero) communication, perfect product. My verdict - purchase at your own risk, and if you do, give your order some time to arrive.

EDIT: It has now been almost 2 months since I ordered and I still have not received my product. I REPEAT THIS IS A SCAM SITE. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.  
 
Same as everyone elses comments. I have not received my order (placed almost a month ago) and not a word in response to my emails. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!!!

My first out-and-out ripoff in more than ten years of 'net shopping. Ordered voltage converter and HDMI adapter from them and paid ridiculous charge for USPS Express Mail delivery. Received an email stating the items were shipped. The eight business days mentioned in their mail have long since passed and no shipment. Have emailed twice and received no reply. Now filing fraud complaint with credit card company. Avoid at all costs!

Ordered a set of swap magic discs as a gift on 29 Oct.  
 
Received email 30 Oct saying it was shipped and to expect it to arrive in 5-6 business days.  
 
I sent several emails and they did respond to each but it took a day or so for them to respond.  
 
It finally arrived but took 15 business days (21 days total).  
 
Everything worked as advertised but did take forever to get to the east coast (WashDC area) from Monaco.

I should have checked these reviews before placing my order just for some consideration, but honestly, I had an extremely pleasant shopping experience with modchip.com  
 
My order for Xbox modification hardware was placed late in the afternoon on November 9th, 2007. I got a confirmation email on Sunday, the 11th (most likely Monday where they are located--Monaco) stating that everything would be shipped on the 12th and that it usually takes 3-6 business days for arrival.  
 
Generally speaking, I am a pretty patient person and was in no real rush for the hardware, and so after reading some reviews on here, I figured I'd really panic after a month or more.  
 
I just got it today after taking just 10 business days, installed the hardware, and everything works great!  
 
Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones who didn't have any problems? Who knows, but if I need any other Xbox modding stuff, I'll definitely consider them.

I NEVER GOT THE PRODUCT I ORDERED in September 2007. It is now November 23, 2007!  
The company did not reply to any of my e-mails, which were never threatening or rude. I requested a status in September (two weeks after the order). I requested another status in October. It is now November and I am now hoping that the company would re-imburse me. But they will not respond!  
 
I have always been apprehensive of using the internet to pay bills or place orders. I was acatually starting to become slightly more comfortable due to the fact that that I had successfully ordered tickets over the internet. I had also placed a few small orders and successfully received my product.  
ModChip.com has been a very disappointing exception. I don't have the finances to take chances with. I can't afford to loose money on orders not received no matter how small.  
An office-mate had given referred me to this company, now he feels guilty and that I was treated unfairly. This is not his fault, simply a company that has defaulted on their committment.  
 
On Monday, September 10, 2007 I placed an order for a modified chip.  
On September 20, 2007, my credit credit card was charged for the purchase.  
On October 1, 2007 I replied to the order confirmation e-mail (as instructed) informing ModChip.com that I had NOT received my purchase and I also requested a status. Understanding that maybe there was a delay and my purchase had been place on either back-order. NO RESPONSE.  
October 15, 2007 I tried contacting them on their web-site. or  
It is now November 19, 2007 and I HAVE NOT HEARD from your company and I HAVE NOT received my order.  
I am frustrated and extremely disappointed.disappointed. I am asking ONCE AGAIN that you respond to this e-mail with your intent. I would like to either receive my purchase or simply be reimbursed (crediting my card).  
 

I've been trying for about 2 months now to get a Datel TOOL battery for my PSP. I placed 2 orders through codejunkies.com, the only recommended reseller of this Datel product according to datel.co.uk. After searching for ANY other reseller for this product, recommended or not, I finally found consoleshop.com (same people that run modchip.com apparently). I tried twice to take advantage of their 'best price guarantee' directing them to codejunkies.com, where the price was 10USD cheaper. No reply. Nothing. Placed another order through codejunkies.com figuring they must have resolved any previous billing issues. Still no luck. At this point, I've decided to make one of these batteries myself, so I spring for a couple regular replacement batteries and get out the soldering iron. That didn't work, so I decide to just order the datel bat through consoleshop.com on Nov 5th. The order went through, but now I'm experiencing the same problems as everyone else on this forum. No response after the initial 'we received your order' email until I write to get the shipping details. Same deal.. we shipped it the day after you ordered. BS. No carrier info or tracking details. Now I can't get a reply no matter what. I've sent messages to order@modchip.com, sales@consoleshop.com, and sales@modchip.com as well as the online support form. My CC already approved the charge and moved the transaction from 'pending' to 'completed'. Worst part is, I have no other recourse as for getting this product. Can't find it anywhere else. Short of meeting someone at a bus stop to make me one, I'm up the creek. Oh and now their website is listing the product as 'out of stock'. Thanks for nothing.

After a FULL MONTH, they've finally emailed me and said they received my payment. I have no idea why they are so slow, they have no excuse. This website is a joke. I would NEVER buy from it again

Several emails sent, 4 in total. At this point I want my money back ($89.75); I do not want to deal with this LAME A** business any longer/ever again.  
 
Play Station Game Accessories ordered 10/7/07  
After the 8th day I have sent 4 emails, trying to find out if and when delivery would be made. I received one email (10/8) stating order processed and shipment in 8 days, 10/9, took my money (NO WAITING),The one thing they did FAST, all was well? They have no phone for contact and have not returned any of my emails. Its been 30 days (11/7) and still no reply? Not One? I can only assume at this point, they are not going to ship my order or refund my money. I have filed a fraud complant with my credit card company, This was the worst experience of online buying ever. Stay away, far away/beware(X)

got confirmation email on the 19th.  
 
today is Nov 1st. They have not responded to numerous emails. Simply one of the worst buying experiences ive had online.

I ordered around the same time as one of the more recent reviewers as well... My order was on oct. 12th, I first emailed on the 18th to ask whether it was shipped or not, and did get a response telling me it was. However, I have yet to receive anything or get any further communication from the company after repeated emailing. Its now way past the 8 business days they say to wait so I doubt I will get anything from them ever...

Placed an order for a modchip 15 October, same day I ordered a game from japan on ebay. The game arrived from ebay in four days. It's 31 October and I've yet to recieve my modchip.  
 
Modchip.com seem to check emails for order@modchip.com about once a week or so.  
 
The "ships in 24 hours" and items take "5-6 business days to arrive" language is very deceiving and makes for nervous customers.  
 
Will not use again.

Sent an email requesting information on my order. I received a reply on 10/10 stating that they were having problems with their carrier, that the would get back to me in the "next buisness days", and requested I check my shipping address. The information was correct and I replied with that information.  
 
10/16/2007  
After not receiving a reply I requested that they refund me the money if the order had not shipped or to give me a tracking number or confirmation that the order HAD shipped.  
 
10/30/2007  
No replies yet. Requested a refund from Modchip.com and filed a fraud claim with my bank regarding the transaction.

That was the last correspondence I received from modchip.com, the date was 10/17/2007.  
 
I've emailed a couple times since then, no response, but gathering from here, at least now I know not to expect communication...  
 
I guess when you deal with a product of this nature you're really at their mercy once you hand over the money.. hi-tech drug dealers I guess would be a good term. If you get your product in good condition, everything is fine. If you don't however, it's not like you can go to the cops for help..  
 
Oh well, guess next time I'll go back to modchipstore.com, they've never did me wrong.  
 
The reason I went with modchip.com was that I believed the lie about shipping times.. 3-6 days pffft.... right.  
 
I think I'm on 'business day 12' now, tomorrow will be 13..  
 
Seems they have (MUCH) more bad review than good, hopefully sooner or later they will just shutdown when enough people realize how lazy their policy on customer honesty is.  
 
I mean, modchipstore.com's shipping may have taken 7 days, but at least they were HONEST enough to tell you up front that would be your expected shipping time.  
 
Maybe the mail still runs on horseback in Monaco? Even so, the friggin country is only, what, 2 or 3 square miles in size??

It took 24 days to receiev my item. They responded to my e-mails. They should put 4 weeks shipping to US in their website.
