I should have checked these reviews before placing my order just for some consideration, but honestly, I had an extremely pleasant shopping experience with modchip.com  
 
My order for Xbox modification hardware was placed late in the afternoon on November 9th, 2007. I got a confirmation email on Sunday, the 11th (most likely Monday where they are located--Monaco) stating that everything would be shipped on the 12th and that it usually takes 3-6 business days for arrival.  
 
Generally speaking, I am a pretty patient person and was in no real rush for the hardware, and so after reading some reviews on here, I figured I'd really panic after a month or more.  
 
I just got it today after taking just 10 business days, installed the hardware, and everything works great!  
 
Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones who didn't have any problems? Who knows, but if I need any other Xbox modding stuff, I'll definitely consider them.

Customer service is very good, when i ordered online a error occured causing me not to get a discount that another site had it cheaper (you get it at that sites price - 5%) i did not notice this till after i was billed and they were great at working with me to get the differnce refunded.

I ordered from Modchip.com on April 12th. Only after ordering, did I even think to check on their reviews, duh! The more I researched and read, the more i scared the **** out of me.  
 
Well, it turned out all ok!!! I recevied shipment confirmation the next day, April 13th and the email noted 4-6 BUSINESS days, can go as long as 8. Well I waited 4,5,6 weekend, then low and behold it arrived on Monday, April 23rd.  
 
All is all, it was a smooth and successful transaction. One thing worth noting, which i didn't realize prior to ordering, is that the store is located in Europe. My delivery came from Monaco. Which could explain some shipping delays???  
 
Would I order again??? Maybe not, just because they are located in Europe.

Not sure exactly how so many people are dissatisfied with this site's service. I had a completely flawless transaction. My order arrived within the 8 day shipping that was quoted and I got everything in a properly packaged envelope. It would have been nice to receive the install directions with the shipment but those are available EVERYWHERE on the internet. I give http://www.modchip.com five stars for their service.

Originally I had placed an order on the 8th of January. I never ended up receiving the item. On January 24 modchip.com is sending me a new item, via UPS. They emailed me a tracking number, so I'm sure to get the product now.  
 
I originally sent them a letter on the 19th and they responded on the 20th asking to wait a few more days. A few more days went by and on January 23rd they wrote me saying if it isn't in by Monday - to write them back and they'll send it out ups. Since it didn't arrive monday, I wrote them back, and it appears today (24th) they are sending it out via ups.  
 
[Another update] - received the product on time. It came from France and got here within 2 days, like they said it would. I thought it was very fair of them to accomodate in this way and am happy. My only complaint is the product came without installation instructions, but I found those quickly on the web.

Well everyone, i dont know why all the negativity about this site. I ordered my xecuter 3 modchip for my xbox on January 9th and just received it today which is exactly 5 days for the regular shipping which is 3 bux...Maybe all of you just had reallybad luck in the shipping process, I dont know what to say, but i would definitely do business with this company again..l.=)

I had an order that included a defective chip which was replaced very promptly. these guys and gals went out of their way to fix the problem by quickly shipping out a new chip no questions asked. it was a pleasure doing business with.

I purchased my order on Sept. 10th and it arrived  
the 15th. I had ordered the product well before reading the ratings it had and was a bit uneasy thinking that I had lost my money. It came in the time they said it would.

My order is pending (not received yet). I imediatly got confirmation email. That was sat. Monday I got another email the order was shipped UPS express. So far so good. I checked mod sites first before choosing this store. And from them it was recommended as being one of the largest US dealers.(over 20 diff ones). So I took the plunge not checking here first. Should have checked here but o-well. At any rate after looking into this site and mod-chip.com. I have found something out. I know someone said before this co. is not affiliated with the other store. But both mod-chip.com AND ModChip.com have the same layout, store front even notice at bottom of page as to what a mod chip is. Further more the shipping fee and type is the same. The location of owner (Austria) is the same. The emails are similar. AND the garuntee of beating any price by 5% is the same. Coincidence or same co. I don't know. But thats ALLOT of coincidental evidence. Id say they are one and the same. Also they must have two locals or something. A u.s. center I don't know. But the domain is registered to a man who resides in VA. Thats Virginia. If they arent the same site then one of them needs closed for basically coping their site and steeling customers. Would be like setting up a new-egg.com and making it identical but being a diff co. Thats not right. I'll update when my order is recieved here in the states.  
 
 
 
UPDATE> recieved order Tuesday, May 03. Thats 7 buisness days. The email they sent upon mailing said 6-8 buisness days sometimes a bit longer due to delays. Im very happy with this co. Package came from Switzerland by the way. And arrived in the U.S . as fast as possible. For $3 shipping-superb. Will do buisness with them again. Packaged very well also. Dont know why all the negitive reviews. Delays can be expected with ANYTHING but debit or CC. Due to $ clearing. So be awaire of that. Like all orders this is the fastest payment method. They get a A+ from me.

I ordered a Slide Card at modchip.com on Feb. 15. I did not receive the order within 1 week so I decided to ask them about it. They almost immediatelly responded, telling me my order has been shipped on Feb. 16 and that it generally takes 4-6 workdays. I received my order in the mail just 2 days after I emailed them which is a total of 9 days for the 3$ shipping. I think this is pretty much ok for that price even though itīs a bit longer as they promised. I my opinion modchip.com is a safe and good place to buy.  

i was worried when I read these comments, so I began to email them asking if it had been sent and for confirmation info since I had already been billed. I decided to wait until the new year until I would contact my credit card company.  
 
Today on December 23, 2004 the Modchip arrived, it took awhile because of international shipping, but the shipping was only 3 dollars, I am definently satisfied. They aren't the most professional as far as returning emails and confirming orders, but the product arrived and thats all that matters, just wait, it will come.

I ordered a XBIT mod chip and a psx stealth mod chip from these guys after not being able to find any other mod chips in stock. A friend recommended me to this site and after much hesitation I finally ordered it. A couple days later I did some research and found much horror about how they don't send out their products and charge people's cards, etc. I was very freaked out because I've never been robbed on the internet before and have purchased many many things online.  
 
So I had a panic attack and called my bank to get information on stopping the payment. They told me that since It's already pending I couldn't stop really do anything until the payment went through and I could challenge it at any time so I decided to wait for about a month before I do anything with the bank. Then I tried to contact my friend all day to see if he actually ever purchased something from modchip.com or if he just linked me to the first modchip site he found. He told me that he did buy a psx mod chip from them but it was 2 years ago.  
 
So I worried and worried and finally emailed them to get some sort of information on my order. They responded within 24 hours saying they sent my modchip on January 12th. I didn't really believe it, but I told my self to be patient before I cancel the payment and cause a big fuss.  
 
The package arrived on Friday January 30th 2004 before I went to work. I couldn't believe it. A package from Europe. I opened it up and sure enough the modchips were in there with color instuctions provided by the seller.  
 
I got two modchips in 20 days from Austria to New Mexico and I couldn't feel any more embarrassed for wanting to cancel my order out of panic. I hope this review will calm someone down if they did their research after they buy (like me). I can't imagine how many order cancelations they must get because of the reviews here. Maybe that's why I got mine so fast ;-).

Made an order on consoleshop.com, the XBOX 360 wireless controller black piano shell. I payed with a bank transfer, still waiting for confirmation. I will see if I get some response next week.  
Saw these ratings and wished I've never made the order...

I ordered a Special Edition Black/Red DS Lite shell on the 27th of January and it arrived 2 weeks later on the 11th of February.  
 
Overall I did not have a problem with the order although I do think the shipping time on the site should be updated a bit. (I ordered using the 3-6 day shipping and it sure as heck took longer than 3-6 days. Try 10-20.) The shell was in perfect condition and was (amazingly) 100% legit too. (Which I really wasn't expecting.) Other than the shipping though, I didn't have any problems and I was a little surprised to find all these bad reviews from this site. I will say though if you live in the middle or western states expect a long time until your order arrives. I live close to Philadelphia PA and my order took 2 weeks so theres no saying how long it'll take elsewhere. If I would have read these reviews first I probably wouldn't have ordered but my package did come with no problem so I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Overall I guess I am one of the few who is satisfied with my order.
