This business is EVIL! I purchased an item on their website and when I attempted to print my receipt someone else's information was on it. I tried to email the company but the emails kept bouncing back. I received a confirmation email with my correct info and tried to check the status on the website. When I pulled up my order someone else's info was on it. I called and the employee was not just rude but HOSTILE. I was completely nice but he just hung up on me!!! Has anyone actually purchased anything from this company?

Placed an order, received a call to thank me for the order. Then the rep. proceeded to try to sell ma a battery pack at three different prices, 89.00, 69.00, and his "final offer" at 49. When I said not at this time, he said fine and that the camera I ordered was not in and then hung up the phone. I called customer service and they were just as rude, he hung up as well. Would never deal with this company again. I was told when I ordered the camera it was in stock. Customer service said that their sales reps are trained to try and sell you other products to go along with your purchase. When I asked why he didn't tell me upfront that the camera was out of stock, he hung up.

These guys are plain crooks – they accept your order, then they call you trying to sell more stuff, and if you don’t want to buy it, they will be rude and finally, either you will be forced to cancel your order or, for one reason or another, your order will not be shipped (read previous reviews). In my case, when I refused to buy extra stuff, I was told that the digital camera I have ordered from them would not be new, although their Web site clearly states that everything they sell is brand new. As a result you supply these crooks with your personal and credit card data (who knows how it will be used later) and in most cases you never receive your order.

I bought a canon a85 camera. Had to call them to verify the order at which time they tried to sell extras .After 2 weeks we called to check on the order and they said the order has been cancelled because of back orders but their home page shows the item in stock.We asked about this and they hung the phone up on us. Bad Company!!!

Everything every other review has said is absolutely true. I made the mistake of ordering without reading this site first. Thankfully, I got off easier than a lot. I made a amazingly cheap purchase for a camera yesterday night despite sales staff that seemed a little off. Today, I had an email that simply said "cancle" in the subject line (nothing else). Glad to see they can spell. Upon calling, and getting hung up on about 12 times, my order had been cancelled. The staff is argumentative. I would strongly urge you to stay away. My credit card was not charged, but I certainly don't feel comfortible with them having it, and was forced to change my number.  
 
Don't buy from them!

This company is a hoax! i do not believe the good reviews. i would bet they were submitted by the company itself. I called to confirm an order - my first question - is it in stock? the answer - YES. I declined the "special batteries" that were required as no major brand was compatible... declined the warranty... I was told i would get my order in 7-9 weeks! It's not in stock! Upon calling back twice to file a complaint the men on the phone refused to let me speak to anyone else and cursed me out several times! the business practices here are unethical and illegal! these people should be charged!

RUN AWAY FORM THESE GUYS! two different models, lied to about avalability, promised twice it was shipped, spoke to a different person who stated they were both on back order for 3 weeks!!

This is unquestionably the worst store I've ever dealt with. They underprice their products to lure customers in and then attempt to sell overpriced accessories to make up the difference. If you simply want the underpriced product, they won't sell it to you. Beware!! This is store filled with thieves!!

We ordered from them online, they contacted us via the phone and were unwilling to sell us the camera without purchasing accessories. There offer to sell us merchandise was an "insincere offer".

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE!!!! I will NEVER do business with this company again. On 11/08/2004 I ordered a Canon S60. They automatically canceled my order without properly informing me. Called for phone confirmation. They then told me that the camera was not available. Then they hung up. BEWARE of this seller!

No body would answer any questions. They just hangup on you. USe bad language. I have need seen uch bad customer service in my life. By the way the order was not fulfilles.

I "purchased" a Minolta G600 from Starlight on the web for my company with my companies credit card. They sent me an e-mail "confirming" the order, however, the mail stated that the merchandise would not be shipped unless I call the company.  
I replied to the company that I want the order cancelled unless they confirm within 24 hours that they will ship in a timely manner.  
 
On November 3 they called my wife and told her that they would recommend some minor assessories. My wife's first language is not English, she did not quite understand. Finally my wife said that the assessories tentatively could be added provided that she could cancel that within the next few days.  
Today I called Starlight again and tried to cancel the order (again). I was told that I was an @sshole, that they (!) would call the FBI, that I was a "fucking Arab", then that I was a "whining Indian", and other names. I ignored these outrageous verbal assaults and insisted on my order being cancelled.  
 
The whole thing is quite obvious. I am certain to get my money back after a while - I will have my credirt card company remove the charges, but this company does not deserve to stay in business.

I too wish I had found this site BEFORE I ordered.  
Like the rest I received a phone call "Confirming" my order, after 10 minutes on hold I finally got a real person who was so rude when I complained about the hold time and repeated questions about accessories. When the FU&* you came out of their mouths I almost had a heart attack. They hung up on me but I called back several times to speak to a supervisor only to be called a jerk off and a few more FU^& You's. I called my bank to ensure they don't submit any charges to my Credit Card they had not as of yet; if they do I will sue them beyond belief. I hope this helps someone else before they succumb to their LOW PRICES Load Of Crap and have to take the verbal abuse we all seemed to have. If anyone knows how we can shut them down, I'd be very interested.  

LISTEN TO EVERYONE ELSE'S COMMENTS! I didn't find out about resellerratings until the camera I wanted was already ordered at starlight. My boyfriend ordered an Olympus Camedia C-5000 camera from this company. They called about 4 times within the week after he had ordered it, so they could confirm. He said they weren't rude, but were kind of pushy about him ordering accessories with it. They said the battery that comes with the camera would only last long enough to take like 5 pictures.  
 
He never got any confirmation email so in a couple of days he called back. They said the camera wasn't in stock and to check back in a couple of days. I told him to call today and cancel the order, and when he called them up, they told him it was already canceled. He didn't get any sort of email saying it was canceled either. He said "Thank you, that's all I needed to know." and hung up on them. Now we're ordering the same camera from 17photo.com which I searched for on this site and came up with excellent reviews. I'll see how business goes with them.  
 
STARLIGHT CAMERA IS A BUNCH OF FRAUDS!!

This company is a complete SHAM. If you order a low-priced product from them, they will call you back and try to get you to buy EXPENSIVE accessories. If you do not buy Accessorices, they will NOT fill your order. They told me "The camera I was buying (Nikon Coolpix 3700) will only take 10 pictures with the factory battery and that I should buy their extended life battery." This is a BLATANT LIE! I would NOT recommend purchasing ANYTHING from this company!!!! They should be in jail probably will be soon...
