I have always had good luck with Target orders. If you are not happy with the product, it is very easy to return the items to a brick and mortar store.

This is the first time I've ordered from Target. Good price although shipping was a bit on the slow side.

I've ordered multiple times in the past from Target and have never had an issue. I guess I've been lucky though in that the items I have ordered have not been on backorder and have been correct and in good condition.
This order will be interesting as I am ordering 11 different items and they are coming in 4 shipments. One item has already shipped via USPS and 3 other items have shipped together via UPS (well, UPS has been notified that the package is ready for pickup).
We'll hafta to see how well Target takes care of this order. One thing I do like with Target is that they only charge you as the items ship and not for the whole order up front (the way it should be).
As of 02/24, I have received 2 of the 4 packages and the items have worked and been what I ordered. My only two comments so far is that I did receive the "your order is taking longer to ship than expected" message for one package, but it "shipped" the next day. The second comment is that I noticed that UPS takes their sweet time to pick up a package. The package in question was ready and the carrier was notified to pick it up on 02/21, but UPS waited 2-1/2 days to pick it up. Obviously, the latter is not Target's fault.
All packages arrived in good condition with the correct contents. Target even took off the shipping charge for me due to the delay with one of the packages. This review was modified by its author, The Merg, on

Target.com has the items we want for a reasonable price but somehow they always manage to screw up our order. Sometimes it takes 2 weeks or longer than promised to deliver. Then they deliver 2 of the same items for which we were charged as well until the items were returned. This time they delivered the wrong item and delivered an extra item as well. It's a hassle to get it returned.

One of the worst online shopping experiences ever, and it comes from one of my favorite B&M stores target. Its crazy to have an online experience this bad from a store that is this large and usually very reputable. i made a purchase for my sisters bday on August, 24th from target.com. This was a bday gift and I was told from the order summary that it would be delivered in a little over a week . Long story short after numerous calls, no updated info on my shipment date (or even whether they had the product in at all), emails, complaints, promises, worthless discount coupons, I waited until about Sept 25th to cancel my order. Not only did i not get the gift from target, i didn't have enough time to send my sister another one. Ordering from target was a lesson in futility...a complete waste of time and energy...just horrible.
P.S. What prompted me to write this review so late was that i just ordered some earphones from target (my second mistake) w/ some of the worthless coupons they sent me and i already see the same frustrating situation happening again. Plain Horrible This review was modified by its author, shaize, on

Very poor experience. My order was placed on the 11th of December. The item was sold out but rather than cancel the order, they send a similar item instead. Unfortunately, this like-item is $40 cheaper than the item I paid for.
They refused the refund in-store after the website instructed me to go to one for the exchange. The store-manager fumbled with weak excuses such as: if you return in store you would not get a refund based on your purchase price but our in-store price of the lesser item that was shipped to you, online orders have different pricing that we cannot match (despite the item was available for in-store pickup at the sale price online).
To exchange the wrong item for the one I paid for, I was instructed by the store manager to return it using the online return process. I printed the return shipping label from the website and sent it back to Target, which claimed to absorb the return shipping.
On January 16th, I receive a notice that the item was partially refunded due to the shipment being a multi-item box and only some components were sent back (untrue, it was only one item in the box, unopened from it's original packaging, sent back in the same shipping box). Furthermore, Target charged my credit card for the return shipping costs as they claim it was due to a return that was not in their error (again, false as they shipped the wrong item in the first place).
I will never shop at this decrepit and incompetent company ever again. My feelings had been such before this incident, but over the holidays I decided to give them another chance since the remodeling of their brand image. I find, despite their improved marketing image, there is no improvement on the one thing that matters the most to a customer: service. Caveat Emptor!

i ordered lamps that were to ship in 1-2 days and arrive in 3-5 business days. I ordered the lamps on 12-12-2006 and they said they shipped on 12-14-2006-it's 1-4-2007 and still no lamps! I called and spoke to very pleasant and apologetic representatives who could not tell me where my lamps were. However, they eagerly offered to refund the shipping charges, give me a discount on my purchase and even suggested that i cancel my order and reorder them again. Thanks but NO THANKS.

ERROR! ERROR! Get used to that if you are on target.com. SSL / Script errors constantly. They know little about the web and apparently less about running a business. This review was modified by its author, su007, on

This order consisted of 4 diff-colored, long sleeve t-shirts. Each was a different style. I received the first 2 shirts 12/9. They were not long sleeve, and they were not the styles I ordered. They were the right color and size.
On 12/11 I received the other 2 t-shirts. One of them was the wrong style and not long sleeve. Out of 4 items, only 1 was correct! Luckily I was able to return these items to a nearby Target store (read on for why I think I'm lucky!).
This is NOT NEW BEHAVIOR for Target.com. Last year, I ordered an uplight that said online it would take a bulb with a max of 100 watts. When I got it, it would only take a max of 15 watts. Uh, big difference!
I had to call Target for a return number, everything was agreed I'd get a FULL refund including shipping because it wasn't what I ordered. But by the time they receive it a few days later, they've decided I was wrong, and in addition to no shipping refund (which was outrageously high), they gave me an $8 refund on a $30+ item! I spent weeks straightening out their stupidity.
And it looks like nothing has changed. Target should be ashamed. Other retailers are doing a great job online. Target is pitiful.

Target online has offered the Xbox 360 Live Vision Gold Pack online at $39.99. They sold out online and gave you 4 options: 1. Add to Club Webb, 2. Add to Target Baby, 3. Add to Wish List, or 4. Find it at a Target Store. It did not say anywhere on the page that the item was a web deal only, so, I printed out the online ad and took it to the store. I was told by the store manager that Target online and Target retail stores sometimes have different pricings and would not price match to their online store. HOW CAN A RETAIL STORE NOT HONOR THEIR ONLINE STORE PRICE?? Honestly, I really want to know why this is. Personally I will never shop from a Target store again. Aside from the cashiers, their management is horrible. No straight answers to my questions. Note to Target: IF YOU ADVERTISE A PRICE ONLINE AND ITS ONLINE ONLY, DO NOT OFFER AN OPTION TO FIND IT AT A TARGET STORE! This review was modified by its author, erickoegle, on

I was unhappy with my purchase at Target as their return policy is very unforgivable. I had gotten four items as a gift, and I had to replace them with four items of equal or greater value from only that department. There was nothing in that department that was of equal value so I had to spend more, and I didn't really want anything in that department so I was really disappointed - Why couldn't they let me buy one item for the total amount or any department in the store. I think their return policy is extremely UNFAIR and I will never shop Target again

AUGUST 14
I ordered a razor from Target.com
Shipping estimate for these items: August 17, 2006
Estimated Delivery: August 22, 2006 - August 29, 2006
AUGUST 27
They hadn’t shipped the razor yet.
08/27/06
Where is the shaver? It is supposed to be delivered by tuesday - the delays are incredible.
Here’s their response:
We are very sorry for the delay in completing your order. I have
reviewed your account and can see that this experience has been far
less than positive.
We strive for convenience and efficiency at Target.com, but in this
instance we have fallen short of our goal, and I am truly sorry.
In looking into this situation further, I see that the shipment of
your order is being delayed by a system error. This same error
prevents us from being able to cancel the order.
We have been in contact with our technical specialists, and they are
currently doing everything in their power to correct this problem
and ship your order as soon as possible.
However, we have no new information at this time regarding the
status of your order; you will be notified as soon as there is an
update.
If you no longer want or need the order, you may refuse this
shipment when it arrives. Refusing the shipment allows you to return
it without having to pay for return shipping.
We will refund you in full, including shipping charges, when we
receive the returned package.
Please be assured that this is not a typical Target.com experience
and in no way did we intend for this to happen. I hope that you
will give us another opportunity to prove the quality of our service
to you.

Naturally, I’m furious.

I’m absolutely dumbfounded by the incompetence of your organization and your inability to fill a single order. I await your response as to how you are going to rectify this intolerable situation.
They reply:
First, please allow me to extend my sincere apologies for any

Don't really have a lot to say about Target. My wife just needed a new vacuum badly because the old one really sucked... er, didn't. After reading a bunch of reviews online I decide to go with the Eureka 4870HZ and Target had the best overall price. I checked an actual store first but they didn't seem to carry it. Target.com got it to us in about a week though and it works great.
