Target advertised a weber bbq for $69.00, if purchased on line, in sept/oct issue of Brides magazine. The web price was $90 more, and when I called Target, they would not honor the advertised price.

I am 61 yrs. old. I purchased a lawn chair and two matching glass top tables and not one store employee offered to help me load the items into a shopping cart or get the items through the electronic theft prevention bars at the store's exit. I had to lift the items over my head twice to get them in the cart then out of the store. At least two employees saw me struggling with these items, but never offered to help. This is extremely poor customer service and should be addressed immediately. By the way, I badly bruised my right arm struggling with the large, heavy chair.

I purchased a set of Classicor Kinetic cookware (pots and pans). I was very disappointed with them. I don't like how they conduct heat and water get's trapped in the glass lids under the metal lid handles and they are extremely difficult to clean. I also purchased a set of cooking knives and they also are no good (they don't cut well). I don't trust the items that Target.com sells and I would discourage anyone from purchasing kitchen products that you are unfamiliar with. Are they the same company as the Target store or do they just use the same name?

Bought an item... they said it would take a month to ship.. i cancelled it and bought something else.
website says it shiped may 20. and to expect it by july 10. NO SENSE RIGHT. they even gave me an invalid tracking number.
phone support said "oh well, you'll get it when you get it.
email support sent me some form response saying " sorry about your order- better luck next time"
customer relations at headquarters said to call back the original number that she cant help me"
this is theft in my opinion..

I ordered a breadmachine last year (08) and, according to their ad, the item would be delivered by Christmas 08. However, they delayed it to Jan. In Jan, I got an email for Target in which they said the item will be delivered by Feb 28 no matter I approve it or not. Now (Mar 3) they cancelled the order.
I called Target several time and spent a lot of phone minutes on it. I have to order something from Target since I got the money as a giftcard.
It is very difficult to deal with Target.

I ordered Christmas gifts for my daughter on 12-8-2008, Target.com emailed me on 12-11-2008 that the items had been shipped. They emailed me on 12-24-2008 that they had credited my card for approximately half the original charge. My daughter opened the box on Christmas morning to find that the partial order that they mailed was the wrong item. Completely unacceptable.

Sorry. They never gave me my invoice numbers. I had 2 orders, they cancelled both of them. Their excuse, they had pricing error on their website and they will not honor it. worst customer service i have ever seen in the whole white world.

After reading some of the other Target.com reviews, I realize I am not alone. Target should be completely ashamed of how their online customers are being treated.
***Please note that not only were there problems with the furniture, but the Customer Service we received was BEYOND horrible! We ordered the Mission Bench and it arrived quickly -- with a completely split base-board. The Target.com rep was helpful and immediately sent a replacement, which was even MORE damaged than the original. The same part was broken. Otherwise, we would have combined parts from the two units. After contacting Target.com again, I was told that returning the units to the store was not an option. We did not keep the original packaging, because we planned to use the replacement packaging to return the original damaged unit -- and did not want to keep a huge box sitting around house for a couple of weeks. This is where the Customer Service TANKED. I was told that *I* needed to procure packaging for the original damaged unit and ship them both back. At this point, we had been dealing with this issue for a month. I told the agent that this was not acceptable, and asked to speak to her supervisor. During the conversation with the supervisor, the connection was extremely bad. After arguing with these people for FAR TOO LONG, I ended up having to go to the local Target store in an attempt to find packaging. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I was initially inconvenienced TWICE by receiving damaged merchandise. To inconvenience me a THIRD time is VERY poor customer service. I *did* go to the local store, and after dealing with a couple of very disinterested and unhelpful clerks, the store manager (the only competent and helpful person throughout this entire ordeal) was able to find packaging for me. I ended up packaging the units and setting them on my front porch -- where they waited until UPS picked them up. Finally, today -- and we are two months into this fiasco -- I had to call Target.com AGAIN, because the refund had never been credited to my account. Twice, the agent told me that she would contact UPS to pick up the merchandise. I FINALLY made her understand that they had ALREADY been returned. I just wanted my money back!! My original mild dissatisfaction has grown into extreme dissatisfaction. I have generally been a satisfied Target and Target.com customer, but not this time. I will continue to shop my local Target store, but never, ever, ever again will I order anything from Target.com. Rest assured I will be telling everyone who will listen about the horrible Customer Experience I had. This review was modified by its author, DebSexton, on

I needed to order an item online for a friends babyshower. I did not receive free shipping even though my order met the requirements. I ordered a baby playset which I paid to have gift wrapped, and a shower curtain which I did NOT pay to have gift wrapped. When the baby playset arrived it was not wrapped at all! It was in some kind of Target mesh bag that was almost twice as big as the playset. Very tacky! Also the shower curtain was gift wrapped even though I did not request or pay for the gift wrap. I will not buy online from Target again, nor would I recommend them to anyone else. They just don't seem to have their act together! To make things even worse UPS beat the sh!t out of the box! While that is not Targets fault I find it aggravating that I cannot choose Fed-Ex instead of UPS for the shipping. This review was modified by its author, urdeedeedee, on

I was tracking the package's progress through Target and UPS website when I saw that it was on arrival to the final destination, so I stayed home all day waiting for it to arrive. It never arrived. I did see and talk to the USPS mailman and UPS guy. Neither had any packages for me and so I waited another day.
I checked the sites the next day and I noticed that it said that they tried to bring it here and that a notice was left and no one was here to accept it. I didn't receive any notice and I was here all day waiting for it to arrive.
I contacted UPS and was told the postal service had the package and that since it required a signature that they might not have left a notice because of that. Then I contacted the postal service and they said they have no package in their system for me. I contacted several postal offices near here in the hopes that they might have it. I even talked to several of their drivers, they didn't have any packages for me. I then contacted UPS again and was told that the package was three hours away at a UPS center and that I would need to pick it up there, three hours away. And that since it was basic service that they could only send it once. I payed for whatever shipping I could get, standard I believe that cost about fifteen dollars. Where elsewhere I could have received the same phones for five dollars with two to three day shipping.
I called target and talked to Tom and he stated that if I didn't get a call back from UPS to let me know where the package was, to call him back and that he would find out what was going on.
Then I was contacted an hour later by UPS, a lady named Bonnie stating that they didn't have the package and that the postal service had it. She was to call me back an hour later to let me know for sure which she did not. So I called target again and spoke with Diane and was told that the postal service had the package and that I would get it by two more days and if I didn't, to call back and that you all would refund my account and send me the phones for free.
This didn't sound right so I called back yet again and talked to a man named Ron and he told me that the package was most likely on its way back to Target and that all they could do was resend the package which would take another two weeks with no guarantee that all of this wouldn't happen again.
I am very disappointed in the result of this, as I could have got these phones elsewhere for cheaper and a lot sooner. I wish now that I had looked at ResellerRatings before doing any business with them online. I figured since I did so much shopping in Target stores that I would be free from having any problems and that their online presence would hold up the same high standards that is held by their retail outlets.
Sadly that does not seem to be the case and I will now have to wait until two more days to see if the package actually arrives like the first target person said, or else I might receive it and have another order somewhere else go through and end up with two phones I do not need.
Like I said, I am very disappointed by all of this and I do think it could have been handled a lot better. I posted this online not to be petty or anything, but so that others may not have the same thing happen to them and that they might be better suited to fixing this before all of this happens again if they choose to do business with them online. Also maybe Target be better motivated to resolve any of these issues in the future without sacrificing a loyal customer in the process. The way this was handled is enough to cause me to not only never shop at their online site but their retail outlets as well. This review was modified by its author, gedekran, on

Absolutely the worst and most confusing site on the web when it comes to ordering and using a gift card!! The E-Receipt from them "NEVER" reflects an accurate net charge to your credit card. You have to call your credit card company for this information, after the fact..Target, clean up your act online or get off Online once-and-for-all!!

Target.com has the items we want for a reasonable price but somehow they always manage to screw up our order. Sometimes it takes 2 weeks or longer than promised to deliver. Then they deliver 2 of the same items for which we were charged as well until the items were returned. This time they delivered the wrong item and delivered an extra item as well. It's a hassle to get it returned.

One of the worst online shopping experiences ever, and it comes from one of my favorite B&M stores target. Its crazy to have an online experience this bad from a store that is this large and usually very reputable. i made a purchase for my sisters bday on August, 24th from target.com. This was a bday gift and I was told from the order summary that it would be delivered in a little over a week . Long story short after numerous calls, no updated info on my shipment date (or even whether they had the product in at all), emails, complaints, promises, worthless discount coupons, I waited until about Sept 25th to cancel my order. Not only did i not get the gift from target, i didn't have enough time to send my sister another one. Ordering from target was a lesson in futility...a complete waste of time and energy...just horrible.
P.S. What prompted me to write this review so late was that i just ordered some earphones from target (my second mistake) w/ some of the worthless coupons they sent me and i already see the same frustrating situation happening again. Plain Horrible This review was modified by its author, shaize, on

Very poor experience. My order was placed on the 11th of December. The item was sold out but rather than cancel the order, they send a similar item instead. Unfortunately, this like-item is $40 cheaper than the item I paid for.
They refused the refund in-store after the website instructed me to go to one for the exchange. The store-manager fumbled with weak excuses such as: if you return in store you would not get a refund based on your purchase price but our in-store price of the lesser item that was shipped to you, online orders have different pricing that we cannot match (despite the item was available for in-store pickup at the sale price online).
To exchange the wrong item for the one I paid for, I was instructed by the store manager to return it using the online return process. I printed the return shipping label from the website and sent it back to Target, which claimed to absorb the return shipping.
On January 16th, I receive a notice that the item was partially refunded due to the shipment being a multi-item box and only some components were sent back (untrue, it was only one item in the box, unopened from it's original packaging, sent back in the same shipping box). Furthermore, Target charged my credit card for the return shipping costs as they claim it was due to a return that was not in their error (again, false as they shipped the wrong item in the first place).
I will never shop at this decrepit and incompetent company ever again. My feelings had been such before this incident, but over the holidays I decided to give them another chance since the remodeling of their brand image. I find, despite their improved marketing image, there is no improvement on the one thing that matters the most to a customer: service. Caveat Emptor!
