This is the second time I ordered from pricesrite. Ordered a sony lcd 32S2000($1182 total) from their website. A day later, I got a comfirmation email indicated that order had been processed. A couple of days later, I received another email with tracking#. TV was shipped from the 3rd party, but arrived in doubled box a week later. Very happy with the service. One thing odd is that before I order, I called and ask if the TV is in stock and cost of shippment. The price that was giving to me was higher than the price I got from their site.
Back in April, I also ordered a Pioneer Elite Plasma($5000). Same result. Very happy both times.

Pricesrite has a very user friendly web site and fabulous array of products. I searched for a Sony digital camera and got the BEST price from them. I have used a variety of Web Stores in the past and will add Pricesrite to my list of stores I will continue doing business with.

I purchase a wall mount stainless stell microwave oven from pricesrite, although I have not installed it or use it yet. It looks beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. I can't wait to start using it. Been a first time customer with Pricesrite, I received a great customer service and overall I am very satisfied.

Purchased a Yamaha RX-V750 Receiver. I feel lucky it arrived new and in good working condition. Took them several days to "complete" the transaction. Customer service 800 number drops calls regularly. When you do get through, Customer Service is not that helpful. Very disappointed to see my receiver arrive in the manufacturer box, very dirty and with a hole in it. They didn't bother to pack it in a larger box with shipping peanuts. Prices are great, but its not worth the risk to purchase from them again. Buyer beware, purchase from them and you may be lucky too...or you may be one of the unlucky buyers. Stay away from this outfit. You may be able to get a good price, but if you have any problems they will not help you. Furthermore, customer service is nonexistant. Once your payment clears expect the door to be shut.
I ordered a Samsung 61" DLP television and matching stand. I had to call a number of times to get tracking information. After getting this I found out that the stand was not with the shipment. When the order was placed there was no mention of the stand not being available. When I called back to find out when the stand would be available the rep recommended I swap my stand for a similar stand that costs hundreds more. The original stand was not available and they did not expect to get one. They didn't have the new stand listed on the website so I had to take his word for it. This should have been a sign, but I didn't recognize it at the time.
I did not open the package immediately since I hadn't made room for the setup. When I did open the box I found the stand to be NOTHING LIKE the Samsung stand this unit replaced. The bag of parts had been opened (no pieces missing), there was a small chip in the corner of one of the glass shelves and an 8" scratch across another. PricesRite refused to take it back, stating that I had to complain to UPS who delivered it. Resigned to keeping the stand (the chip is small, the scratch is covered by a stereo receiver and I'm sick of fighting) I put the thing together. The design has a single shelf and a panel that runs the length of the stand across the top. This greatly reduces my options for arranging component pieces. I'm reduced to stacking pieces and working with 3-4" of unavailable headroom which is blocked by the panel. Instead, I've created mini-tables so that I can fit on the single shelf the few pieces I do own. These are a DVD player, HD receiver, stereo receiver and Xbox. Forget about the PS2 and VCR. They won't fit.
The biggest problem I've had is with the surly manager who responded, "Why is that my problem?" to every issue I raised with him. It was like talking to a child as this was all he said to me in response to EVERYTHING I said. Finally he told me that the TV and stand were non-returnable items. (No explanation why, they just aren't.) I asked why he didn't say that first to which his reply was, "Fine, they are non-returnable items. Is that better?"
You may get a good price from them but go into EVERY transaction with the understanding that whatever you get you are stuck with. And in hindsight, price is not that important. I will never fall victim to this group again. Expect no curtesy once your payment clears. I wish I had found this site before placing my order with them. If I had, the order would have never been placed. My suggestion, go elsewhere.

Purchased a $1200 range hood; when we openned the box we found it was the wrong size (wrong size ordered); now they will not let us return it. the customer service rep on the phone said "sell it on ebay"!.

Dealing with this merchant I had a worse internet buying experience ever.
Stay away from this guys. They take your money put it in the bank account
and collect the interest. For you to take your money back takes forever.

I called and spoke to Woody agained today. I was told "looks like your order is put in back-order again". I requested to cancel my order and my full refund ASAP. Woody first said "it'll be done by tonight", then eventually he said "I'll take care of it now".
I want to puke at this store.
I learned my lession the hard way. In nearly a decade of my online shopping experience this one store IS THE WORST!

Buyers, here is my update:
I called yesterday, 02/20/07, and spoke to one "Woody", who told me that "it'll be shipped out tomorrow, delay was due to NE snow storm." I called again today, spoke to "Woody" again, who told me "it was shipped, and I should get an shipment notification email tomorrow." Woody was very firm that the unit was shipped and should sit tight, not be concerned.
I complained of the charge to CC 10 days ago w/o shipment, and that I want to cancel my order. Woody replied "if you don't want your unit, you can decline whwn it's delivered."
Well, I sit tight for now.
What a transaction!
I can tell you all with absolute certainty that I'll never come back to this site. I know for sure that I won't lose one penny, it's just the hassle, anxiety, aggrevation when one's into a situation like this.

BEWARE! Beware!! Beware!!! I bought two receivers on 7/06. One came damaged. On repeated calling, they asked UPS to pick it up 8/06. Till now 12/06, we have not received the receiver or money back. On calling they come up with different excuses like “we have credited your account, waiting a reply from UPS, will take care of it next week etc.” On confronting them last week, they have the nerve to say “complain to PRESIDENT if we wanted to”. These people are RUDE and FRAUD. They will try to rip you off by selling extras or damaged or counterfeit stuff. They use the bait of low advertised prices to get you like catching a fish. Check them out at Better Business Bureau at www.newyork.bbb.org to see their character. They operate under different names like A Heffco Technologies, Editors Choice, Gigabuyz, LGD superstore, Prices Rite etc. – 1643 McDonald Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11230. Always check companies at www.bbb.org or resellerratings.com or other reviews before doing business, be a wise consumer. These fraudulent companies use cheap advertised prices to get people. Placed order for grill and grill cover online. My card got charged but they do not have the item; tried to offer me a different item that's a model below what I ordered. I declined and told the rep to cancell the order. Followed up several times when the money didn't make it back to my account after a week. Reps keep saying the money will be refunded on certain dates but it didn't happen. Reps seem to be always on a rush and just hangs up even when I haven't finished with my inquiry (or even speaking). Finally gave up and disputed the charge with American Express so they can follow up the refund for me. I had some hesitation with buying an item from a no-name online store but the item was nowhere to be found on brick and mortar stores and online so I took a chance ordering from Pricesrite. I will NOT buy from this merchant again. I should have looked at their rating here first; I would have known then that they have a low rating.
Generally, stores are not supposed to charge the credit card until they ship the product; not in this case. This review was modified by its author, gotong, on

Horrible, nver buy from this retard. He never told me about $300 worth of shipping and overcharged me for TV $300, that's extra $600. I got the email, called him immediately, he started yelling at me, would not cancel the order and hung up at me.

Echo other comments, these guys are crooks to the core. I will give them at least minimal credit as I got a TV after OVER 2 MONTHS OF WAITING and not the TV that I originally ordered (got the "it's back ordered and no-one has this model in stock" song and dance).
The good thing is I made their logistics manager's life (John Salem, extension 309, call him every day, I got a couple hundred dollars of credits this way) hell for a few weeks. I'll still give him a call every now and then to let him know how much he SCREWED a very good customer that his company jerked around.
In a nutshell, bought a TV that was listed as IN STOCK on their site, was charged a couple days later then was hit with a "backordered, please wait" from their so called customer service. Ths went around for a couple of weeks until I had enough and asked to speak to a manager, which eventually (not at first because they weren't allowed to) got me to Mr. Salem. If they didn't have the TV in stock they shouldn't have charged my card, so I knew I had them over a barrel. They picked the wrong person to screw with as I am a vengeful bitch.
Long story short I was so pissed and tired from waiting and the excuses I changed my order to a different TV. Got the warranty for a decent price and am now on a crusade to make sure these guys are known as the crooks they are.
STAY AWAY!!!!!

After waiting for three weeks for the product to be delivered(after being told it was shipped two weeks earlier). I received a TV that was damaged. I noted the damage at time of delivery onto the bill of laden and had it confirmed by the driver of the delivery company. My mistake weas in accepting it. I thought maybe that the damage was minor. It was not. I then called Pricesrite and after explaining the situation, was told that I would not receive a replacement until they settled with the freight carrier. This has nothing to do with me yet I'm here without a TV or my dollars waiting for them, which can take up to 6 months. I've contacted my credit card company, the BBB of NY, the FTC and the Attorney General's office of my state. First of all, don't do any buisness with these people. They are rude and don't care about the customer after they get your money. If you do make the mistake of dealing with them and have a problem, file complaints with every organization you can find, and write reviews to warn others. I hope NY state agencies clamp down on companies such as this one.

CHECK WWW.NEWYORK.BBB.ORG the Better Business Bureau before dealing with Pricesrite or any other business listed on the BBB website as having the same owner - Jack Heffner. The Federal Tax ID Number is 13-4017200. I never received the merchandise I purchased. I've been lied to by two different Pricesrite Customer Service Representatives about my refund. It has been over 70 days now, and repeated emails and telephone calls do not resolve the issue. UPS actually reimbursed Pricesrite for my loss. Now Pricesrite has my $$ and UPS $$ and one peeved customer.
Thank goodness for Small Claims Court, I recommend it as a remedy for consumers to use when they are being screwed by slimey business practices. Include the Federal Tax ID Number in case you need to pursue a lien against them. The very least, file a complaint with the better business bureau so others can see what a shady outfit they may be dealing with.
My recommendation is that it will be money well-spent to pay more and deal with a more reputable dealer. This review was modified by its author, surftim, on
