I've had my Digital Storm computer for almost a month now and it is running great! The look of the computer is very clean, inside and out. Digital Storm at the time of my order was the only online computer company that I could find that had an A+ rating from the BBB. With all the reviews I read, not just from Digital Storms own forums, but a few others sites I was amazed to see the number of positive reviews. You will find some negitive reviews but they are few and far.
Every one who has seen my Digital Storm computer has been envious. I have already recomended Digital Storm to a few people looking for a gaming computer.
This is by far the best computer I have owned. I might never build another computer myself again. When it is time for a new computer I will going back to Digital Storm.

I saw an ad on Toms Hardware Guide, and had been looking for a new PC in the 2000-2500 price range. All of the professional reviews I read about Digital Storm were excellent. Looking at other sites (like this one) and on their excellent online forums showed they had many satisfied customers. Even when there are issues, it looks like customer satisfaction is the number one priority.
I compared the system I priced at Digital Storm to several configurations at Dell (my former computer company for the last 12 years), and found that the Digital Storm system was simply a better value and could be configured in much more detail.
I put in the web order on a Saturday, and received detailed updates at each stage of production the following week, and the system shipped on Friday. I am so pleased with the system. The wiring was top notch, the overclock was great (from 2.66 to 3.5 GHz), and everything has worked beautifully. I would definitely recommend Digital Storm to anyone, and will be buying my next system from them in a few years.

I was getting lag with my older gaming computer (2 1/2 years old) in the aion game so i ordered a new computer from DS, now i do not have any lag in aion...the DS computer blows cool air out unlike my old computer which blows hot air...it is overclocked but no problems at all, runs great...digital storm will be at the top of my list for my next computer...my friend has a DS computer too, he told me that he love his computer and gives it a "A" and so does BBB,so I got one and thank him,it runs like a champ..

This order was fulfilled within the three working days as advertised and I got everything as ordered. From an assembly point of view - two minor glitches - the wires feeding the front panel on/off switches and the usb sockets were placed between the frame and the right side panel preventing this one from taking iys place easily. The connector to the HD drive was loose and disconnected after a few days. Both glitches easily detected and corrected.

Thank you for your feedback. I will look over the situation with our assembly team and have a look personally. This is the first time I've seen this problem and we will do our best to ensure that it doesn't occur for future customers.
Warm Regards,

I spent over a month studying up not only on the components and options for my new PC, but just as seriously researching the various outfits that could deliver quality, service and Value (bang for the buck). These included online and local shops, individuals on eBay - you name it. I read many blogs, accessed several rating services (including ResellerRatings here, BBB and others) and spent hours reading/lurking on their direct forums and on PC e-magazine forums -- all to make sure that I would not be disappointed in my choice.
>> I am SO not disappointed - but rather: delighted! I am extremely pleased and very impressed on how responsive, accomodating and reasonable Digital Storm has been through the whole experience. I have dealt with them via email, on phone-calls (they return your voice-mails same day - usually within the hour) and on their site's forum. Very responsive and forthright - no smoke, no dancing, just very professional and insightful answers and attention to detail.
In my situation, I was really convinced that I wanted a system build in a case (the CoolerMaster Storm "Sniper" case) that Digital Storm does not normally offer. They were very willing to spend time checking it out and quoting me a very standard price for a custom build. By contrast, their closest competitor (in my mind - out of the Pacific NW) consistently talked me out of it and into their standard case on two occasions, via email.
At Digital Storm, the quality of their work (cabling, cooling, documentation, testing, aestetics, etc.) is top notch and extremely professional. It is closer to a high-end Silicon Valley lab in it's zero-defects approach and operation, and contrasted starkly to me with cheaper online "PC factories" that have fast-talking assumed-close salespeople and forums rife with complainers about DOA components and systems.
Do yourself a favor: if you are looking to spend $X,000 on your dream PC "beast", give Digital Storm a serious look! Between their awesome warranty and terrific build quality, you won't be disappointed either.

Excellent customer service. Excellent computer and excellent parts.
Had a bit of difficulty with a fan I ordered and i'm not enthused to have to install it myself.

After placing your order they will send you an email outlining their fulfillment process in stages. As your machine progresses through the stages you receive email updates. I thought this was great and let me know when to expect my machine.
The packaging the machine came in was great. While other companies charge you for special packaging to protect your machine during transportation Digital Storm provide this as standard service. The Box is very heavy duty and well protects the machine.
When you open your box you will see that they have a nice binder with all of your paperwork and a box with all of the leftover cables from the install. Very nice touch. These went up on a shelf in my office in case I need the parts later. No need to throw these in a random drawer.
Overall I think I made a great decision. A friend used another company had had issues all along the way from payment processing to delivery. I just sat back and enjoyed the experience.

This is the second time that my husband and I have used Digital Storm. The first experience was so amazing, we knew there was nowhere else that we could have bought our computer from.
The customer service is so superb. They have a technician CALL you (not e-mail you) over any minor discrepancy and stay on the phone with you until your problem is fixed or call you back the moment they do figure the problem out. Case in point: we received our computer and the video card fan was making noises. We called and had to leave a message, which normally you'd be bummed about, right? Well, they called us back in approx. 15 minutes which is better than waiting on hold for 15 minutes. They checked to make sure that those noises weren't normal, they called back to say they were sending a replacement. How easy is that?
Every time I've dealt with Digital Storm CS on the phone, it's been pleasant and such a breeze. The computer is amazing, the people are amazing. I just don't know what else you could ask for. Thank you, Digital Storm, I'm a fan for life.

Great service, great product. The item shipped much quicker than expected, and arrived earlier than expected.
One of the machines had a problem during testing, and a representative called my phone and offered me two reasonable options, and I opted for a 24 hour delay as they resolved the issue to ensure a stable system. Would definitely buy again.

Honestly, Digital Storm is the best company I have ever shopped with. By that I mean that if they made everything, I would buy everything from them. My entire experience with Digital Storm from beginning to end was absolutely, and almost unbelievably amazing. Not to mention comfortable. I do not make a lot of money, but when I do make a decision to make a purchase, I usually buy higher end items so that I do not have to worry about them being outdated anytime soon after. One side of this is that I will spend days, weeks, sometimes months researching and waiting for not only what I want exactly, but also to find a company to make me feel comfortable enough to spend the cash. I found an ad for Digital Storm in a PC magazine and spent a while browsing their site and watching the videos of how much love and care that goes into each unit they build. After that and reading the many, many positive reviews from this site, I called them with a few questions in which I found their customer service to be impecable. And it never ended. With emails letting me know what stage of production and testing my laptop was at and friendly people to answer my questions on the phone or by email, I felt taken care of completely. And my experience never felt like a fluke. The extreme amount of professionalism in every aspect of my experience felt real. They really do care. I saw that on their website that if you are in their area, customers are even encouraged to stop by and check out some of their work. So shop around no more! Digital Storm is waiting to build you a computer. And no, I do not work for the company. My experience and Digital Storm are legit!

I'll make this simple and honest...
Had a few humps with Digital Storm, but nobody's perfect...
There's probably even a few $25K(+) 64 core Cray CX1s that had teething pains...
The bottom line is that they CALLED me back FAST and STAYED on the situation, until a new deal was struck and everything was as straight as two temporarily opposing parties can get...
Keep in mind that they don't keep all the money you pay for the machine. Parts, equipment, rent/mortgage, payroll, insurance, gas, electricity, phones, etc. aren't free...
If you price out their AMAZING "Power and Value" unit:
http://www.digitalstormonline.com/comploadsavedsd.asp?id=292409
(with all the assembly, testing, shipping, etc)
...I'd say that they might even be LOSING money on it!
(If you're going to buy a high end system, better grab that one quick, I did! They probably can't keep that promotion going forever!)
Bottom line, even though I was very difficult to deal with and I'm sure that their work days are no cake walk... They stuck it out with me!
Haven't received my replacement machine yet, but I am VERY confident in this company and I am POSITIVE that no matter what happens, they will stand behind their product and respond very quickly to anything that might turn up.
Save yourself a lot of aggravation and buy a Digital Storm! This review was modified by its author, JoeVideo, on

The computer I was looking for was offered by Digital Storm, everything I expected, I received.
I was especially pleased with the email process where Digital Storm kept me informed of every step of their assemble, testing, and progress toward shipment.
Digital Storm did what they said they would do.
It was a good experience.

First, I want to say that about a week after I got my system, I recieved an email from Digital Storm asking me to write a review on this website in order to be entered into a contest to win some cash. The email did not say that I had to write a positive review, but I wanted to point this out because I myself used this website when I was looking into Digital Storm, and I was a little supprised to learn that Digital Storm would offer a cash reward for customers to write a review.
That being said, I can tell you that the reason Digital Storm can make such an offer is because they know they do such a great job in every aspect, from customer service to the quality of their products, that most people are extremely satisfied with the company. After searching for a good gaming rig for many months, I finally decided to purchase a system from Digital Storm. Their customer service was great and answered all my questions leading up to my purchase.
After I made my purchase, while the system was still being built, I read a post on the Digital Storm message board from someone who had purchased the same system I had, and who was having a problem with the top fan being unplugged. I was concerned about this, so I sent Digital Storm an email. I got a response pretty quickly telling me that it was an isolated incedent, and that I had nothing to worry about. This did a great job of putting my worries to rest, but to my suprise the customer serive rep. thar emailed me had forwarded the email with my concerns to a technician who was perfoming a final check on my system, and when my system was ready to ship, I got another email from this technician confirming that the top fan was plugged in and that everything in the system was working correctly. This was on top of the emails Digital Storm sent me as my system moved along the manufacturing process. This was exactly the above and beyond kind of care for putting a customer at ease that I would hope to get from any company I make such a big purchase from. I was very happy and impressed.
The system itself has been a dream come true. I ordered the "Power and Value" system, and it is everything I could have hoped to have in a gaming system for under $2000. I am able to run Left 4 Dead and World of Warcraft at full setting flawlessly. Purchasing this system at that price is truely one of the smartest decisions I have ever made.
So far I have not had to deal with the technical support team, because the system was so well put together that I have not needed any support. The life time free technical support is a very strong buying point, and no other company that I found while doing research could even come close to matching the 3 year warrenty included in the price.
Digital Storm is not as big a name as say Alienware, but because of that, you wont be paying a big premium just for the name. Trying to build a system on Alienware with everything my Digital Storm system has shows that the premium for the Alienware name is about $500. If you do not care about the name, and only want a system that will perform great, I highly recommend taking a close look at Digital Strom. I will definatly purchase from them again in the future. I recently bought my first DS computer. I did a ton or research before deciding to use them and paid particular attention to the forum comments about their customer service. So I took the plunge and placed the order. When the unit arrived, it turned out the liquid cooler had leaked everywhere. A quick call to customer service and my unit was picked up the next day and returned. DS then not only replaced the leaking unit, they upgraded it. When I again received my new computer, one other slight problem presented itself- the CD/DVD burner was DOA. Another quick call to tech support and a simple problem was easily fixed. I am very happy with this computer and tech support. Having recently spent MANY hours on the phone with a DELL tech somewhere in India, I can tell you it was a pleasure to deal with DS. I would buy from them again without reservation.

I'm afraid that I am going to be a bit repetitive, but I had a great experience with Digital Storm. I learned about them from an advertisement in Maximum PC magazine, and went to their website and their forums to learn more. They offer a great product for a good price, and seem to be very concerned about client satisfaction and service. The ordering process was very simple (based on a configuration recommended by a very good forum community), and the only hard part was waiting for the computer to be built and shipped. DS kept me informed of the process the whole way via email updates and the computer arrived safe and sound when it was supposed to. The computer ran smoothly from the first time I pressed the power button. There was a minor driver problem which their technicians took care of straightaway. I feel very secure that if future problems develop, they will be taken care of very efficiently. I can highly recommend this company (and have already done so it to a friend). I could blather on about all the specifics of ordering, processing, etc, but suffice it to say, my total experience has been great.
