Digital Storm at the time of my order was the only online computer company that I could find that had an A+ rating from the BBB. With all the reviews I read, not just from Digital Storms own forums, but a few others sites I was amazed to see the number of positive reviews. You will find some negitive reviews but they are few and far.
Every one who has seen my Digital Storm computer has been envious. I have already recomended Digital Storm to a few people looking for a gaming computer.
This is by far the best computer I have owned. I might never build another computer myself again. When it is time for a new computer I will going back to Digital Storm.

Well I was in the market for a budget computer. And still wanted to have an awesome machine that could kick but. Digital Storm gives you that. They give you brand name parts for much less than other companies charge. And still wrap it all up in a nice beautiful package.
Needless to say. I'am very satisfied Digital Storm customer. I also love the Customer service, The quality work and how everything is done professionally and quickly. It was just a geat experiance to have them build it for me.
Computers have problems thats all there is to it. Whether you buy from Dell, HP or other companies. What matters is if you are a compony that can deal with the problem without giving grief to the customer. Digital storm is a very organized compony that will deal with your situation. And not put you on hold until you get fed up and trow the phone at the wall.
I have had to use the digital storm tec services. And I must say it is the best bar none! People know what there talking about, they speak professionally and clearly making sure you understand what is going on.
New Buyers: I have had no issues with this compony. I strongly recommend this compony to anyone who wants to get started in the gaming community. This review was modified by its author, hobojoe, on

Though very satisfied with my Digital Storm system, a Twister Pro - (Intel Core Duo 2.4, 2GB RAM, Seasonic 600W PS, twin nVidia 7950GT’s in SLI config, a bunch of drives, etc.), I decided to give it some burn-in time before posting my review. I’ve had the system for almost 3 months now.
Suffice it to say that I am VERY satisfied with my purchase from Digital Storm. My ordering / customer service experience was very good and the transaction process was smooth. They answered all of my presales questions directly. The computer arrived packaged securely in dense foam and a strong box.
What sold me on the company (and later the system) was that it seemed to be taking a bit longer to ship than I had anticipated – tailing toward the end of the ship time. I contacted DS for a status via e-mail. They quickly replied, stating that the two initial video cards utilized in the system were not benchmarking properly and that they were going to be trying a new batch of cards later that day and testing them that night. No excuses, just the facts.
The system, the build quality, and especially the video quality, is superb. I can run F.E.A.R., for example, with every option dialed up and it runs without a hiccup. No lags, no problems, just a beautiful rendering (perhaps an odd choice of words with F.E.AR.).
The system runs almost silently, unlike the Dell (aka Boat Motor) that it replaced. I paid for the bundled cable upgrade which lends a truly clean look and, I suppose, helps with airflow. With a big glass window on the side of the case, the clean look and impressive workmanship are definite pluses. Digital Storm also provides you with all of the cables, connectors, etc. that came with the various pieces of hardware but were not used. For example, I upgraded the sound card – they gave me the one that came with the motherboard. You paid for the parts, they give them to you. All driver disks etc. are arranged neatly in a binder with other important information, etc.
Bottom Line: This is a company that I have recommended to friends and co-workers. My system has operated fault free to date. Both sales and customer service have been responsive to my inquiries and requests. And, to sum everything up, the computer performs exactly as it should, which is what you’re paying for after all.

I purchased a $4000 dollar Twister system from Digital Storm back in August of this year and I am still fighting for what I ordered. OK to start with when I received my shipment I look in the case and see my Power supply laying on top of my Master Asus ATI 1900XTX Crossfire edition out which resulted in a bowed card. I contacted them on a Monday and it was voice mail and I didn’t receive a call back until the next day and they stated that Mondays where hectic and sorry for the delay I then told them what happened and they instructed me to reship the entire system back at my cost 45buck and they would go thru the entire system and replace everything. 30 days later I received my system back after numerous unanswered calls and emails to find out only that during any game I was having tearing and artifacting thru out the games. And on occasion even reboots, so after frequent attempts by email and phone I requested my money back on the entire system which on their website specifically states 30 day money back guarantee they told me that I didn’t have that option because it was 30 days from the time of order. it took them 3 weeks to even send the system out so it is blatantly false advertisement and then they also said that since the system was damaged during shipping they would have to file a claim with UPS the shipper and an investigation would have to take place before they would do anything and UPS investigations takes months is what I was told so I was forced to keep the system and when I did finally get it back like I mentioned I had error after error and when I did finally contact them, I think I could get hold of GW Bush easier, they told me that they it tearing and video problems was a power supply issue and that they discontinued carrying Enermax because of other reported errors and switched to Thermaltake and for shipping and the difference they would upgrade me to one of those. So I did and two hours after I installed the new 700Watt Tough Power I had the same reoccurring issue. So back to trying to contact them I received the PS on a Friday so I had to wait all weekend without any support and then on the following Monday evening I told them the same errors was reoccurring only for them to tell me it must be a memory issue and to try and remove one of the four sticks of Kingston Ultra Hyper X at a time and try to reproduce the problem well I did that and same thing so then they suggested the video cards to run one at a time , process of elimination, so when I went to remove my master Asus card I find out that its a SAPPHIRE card instead of the asus I purchased. So once again after waiting for the narrow window of operational hours of support I informed them of this and they acted like it was a surprise to them and that they would investigate further only to find out that " we was out of stock of the Asus ATI Crossfire 19000XTXs and so the sapphire version was shipped in place. They told me that the 1900XTX asus cards were discontinued and I would have to make do with what I got. I remove the sapphire card and moved the Asus ATI 1900XTX slave card into the master slot and my problems stopped. So they said send the Sapphire back and they would send it back to INDONESIA or somewhere because Sapphire didn’t make the 1900XTX well to make a long story short after about a month and a half I convinced Mr.Brown to overnight express my correct Asus card and he did with no hesitation and apoligized for the mishaps and promised to continue to win my customer satisfaction over which was a great start. I will have to say the quality of parts they chose where top at the time and they did meet or beat all other major competitors. So unhappy as I was at the start it seemed DS tried to accommodate me with either additonal warranty.I was promised a game but it came and gone out of date so i quit pushing the matter. I would think of Digital Storm on my next purchase a little more after the effort they go to satisfy. You must stay on them for results but they are willing to work with you regardless of errors they keep on it til its right. I dont care much for the weekend less tech support hours because your computer always goes bananas on the weekend

Ordered on 1/04/07 I’m still waiting for my System, More Coming if I ever get it.
Well it took some time to get it to Texas but boy was it worth it. I ordered a Twister Ultra 4 on January 4th and received it on February 2nd. The major parts included; Intel Core 2 Quad Core set a-top of a Asus Striker Extreme. There was one delay during the whole process, it seems that my Striker MB failed the stress test (are you kidding, I was failing mine too) that added two weeks to delivery while DS waited for another board.
NOTE: I was notified by DS the day the board failed and given an option of an alternate board which I declined.
My twister arrived on 2/4/07 with some minor box damage, nothing uncommon for UPS Ground. This is a massive system packed in a massive box. I do a lot of shipping and shipping anything with UPS is scary at best. I would suggest to DS revaluate the shipper or use a different approach in there packing policy. DS builds a very nice machine but I think there packing methods could be better and it seems to be the root of negative issues at DS.
Removing the system from the box is an awesome experience, my wife and I just sat in the living room starring at this thing, occasionally remembering to close our mouths. Neatly packed, with adequate packing except with UPS as they bounce every package they handle to make sure their drivers will be able to throw them at the customers. Here again I would really consider beefing up the packing if I was going to use a shipper like UPS, but that’s me.
I got down on my hands an knees and inventoried parts and found that everything I ordered was there. I installed a new Hard Drive before ever turning it on (for Vista Ultimate-64). I left the new drive unplugged until the first boot for obvious reasons.
The Twister booted without incident. DS left the serial number entry for me and I think this is a good idea. XP came up so well, it was boring. Within an hour, I was installing Vista-64 (on new drive I installed) which installed flawlessly and remains today rock solid, contrary to all the drive by internet media and bogglers.
Overall, DS does excellent work, the people at DS answered the phone for me every time I called and I kept records, I called them 23 times in 30 days. Jason, at DS earned his Customer Service money with me as I tend to be some what of a Micro Manager, especially when it comes to my passions. I received personal update calls from him and I know I’m not the only one he does this with. Jason, is a true asset to DS.
I believe that when you by a top of the line computer round cabling should be default. Every order should be reviewed with the customer, it just takes a few minutes. More attention should be placed on the online status page as I found it to be useless and at times frustrating. Shipping and packing needs to be revaluated if UPS is going to be used. Although I had no issues with shipping, I consider myself lucky as hell. Buy from DS with confidence, they truly do nice work. They will be doing my next machine, although I might drive out there and pick it up if there still using UPS.

Digital Storm, I salute you! I just fired-up my new customer Twister Ultra game box and this thing is smokin'! I got it as a result of the new hardware exhausting & demanding Flight Simulator X which takes advantage of Direct X 10 shading and was designed for hardware not available from lost PC companies --- not the case with this system.. This box really took advantage of latest cooling technologies, fan direction, overclocking, etc.. Fastest computer I've ever owned; for example: My old box that's not "slow" by most comparisons got turned into a fossil by this screamer (ASUS A8V, 4GB Ram, AMD Athlon FX-55, Radeon X1950Pro)

I placed this order the week before Christmas, without speaking to anyone at Digital Storm about the order. I then quickly found that getting their attention is next to impossible. I sent an email asking about a charge for shipping (they advertise free shipping) and was told 5 days later when they finally responded saying that their spam filter had picked up my email, that the $30 to ship a surge protector was because additional components that don't go inside the tower, do elicit a shipping charge. $30 for a surge protector? I could ship a small animal for that, meals included. And blaming missing emails on a spam filter doesn't bode well for consumer confidence in them. Regardless, Mr. Brown said he would not charge me the shipping fee after I expressed my displeasure with how much they were charging me. Moving on........
About a week into the order I decided that I wanted to setup wireless networking for this PC and sent an email to D/S asking if they could add a wireless card to the order. Three business days later, someone replied with "Have you called Sales about this?". No, but I emailed you (Sales)......not sure what that was all about, but again, very slow response and an unimpressive response at that. I just dropped the request completely.
I then sent another request a short time thereafter, asking about the credit for the shipping charge and again, a turtle could have gotten a response to me quicker. Finally I did get a reply from Mr. Brown indicating that they did in fact send me a reply to that request (that I never got, and no, I don't use a spam filter at all). I have yet to get my credit card statement so resolution to that issue remains to be seen AND.....they shipped the surge protector in a box with the KB/Mouse, so I'm not sure why they felt the need to charge me in the first place, much less $30 for a 2 pound part sent Ground.
On the day that I set the new system up for my brother, I ran into an issue that I need Support for but found that apparently you can't call them directly on the weekends, you have to fill out a form and wait......and I had zero confidence that this would get me the assistance that i needed in a timely manner, so I didn't even attempt it.
And lastly, I sent an email in and asked that it be forwarded to Mr. Brown, detailing my experiences with the failed and delayed communications, and my displeasure with the customer service overall. Still no reply from him and that was over two weeks ago......I guess they're still having trouble with the spam filter.
"100% Satisfaction" is plastered across their homepage, but it says nothing about how they will achieve that if a customer has a bad experience.
The product itself? It exceeded my expectations, but customer service is at least 50% of the entire transaction for me, and D/S has repeatedly fallen flat on their face from my perspective. I've already shared the experience with my 17 classmates, my family, and 4 friends, and I wouldn't dare purchase from them again.
Update:
I received a phone message from Mr. Brown this evening, and have responde to him via email (although probably not the wisest choice of communication mediums). At least I know how to get assistance from them now, and it's not by emailing sales@DSO. More to come.......
Update (01/24):
Mr. Brown responded to my concerns via email and has already addressed what we believe may have been problems with the handling of my emails to their staff. It appears that there is/was an issue with their firewall spam filter tagging emails with links in them (like the email address in my signature file), and dumping them. Mr. Brown has been very attentive since I have gotten his attention, and he has already made at least a couple of adjustments to their communications system, based on my recommendations.
I want to reiterate that the computer I recieved is superior to anything that I have experienced in 12 years, and state of the art to say the least. I advised Mr. Brown that if they could smooth out their customer service and communications, that nobody would be able to touch them. If things improve in the area of customer service, I would be inclined to give them another opportunity to maintain my business.
***Another Purchase 07/07/2009***
Order #LH3285483
I'm sad to report that apparently there are still issues with DS' response system. I purchased another computer from them and although the system again is fantastic, their failed response to a routine request, has left me disappointed at best. I sent an email to Customer Service on 07/22, and recieved no response, not even an automated confirmation. I followed up on 07/23 by filling out their online form for Customer Service, and still no response 2 business days later. More than two years after my initial experience with their lack of response, we apparently are no better off.
Update 07/28:
Both Eric & Jason responded very quickly once I was able to get someone's attention over there, on my third attempt. It seems as though DS is there and more than willing to respond, but still has a couple of kinks in the communication system. The guys not only responded, but made a change to their email setup in less than 24 hours, to prevent my experience from happening again. Responsiveness = 10, Communication Processes = Still a work in progress but they are more than willing to make adjustments to improve the setup. This review was modified by its author, jkornhiser, on

I have just ordered the system after talking to a sales rep via their "800" number. I was hemming and hawing about various configurations and decided to both email and talk to a rep before ordering. The email response from them was prompt and informative, and when I talked to a live rep, he was courteous.
I am having my order shipped to an address different than my billing address. I had to go through another hoop via fax to get this done. It was a minor inconvenience to me, mostly because I live in the early 20th century without a FAX (or cell phone for that matter...)
So far my dealings with them have been good. I'll update this review as my process grinds on :-)
1/21/07 UPDATE 1
Well, it's amazing my head is still on my torso...I messed up my order by putting a different type of credit card than the one I used to order. I got an email from the Sales people notifying me of the error. It was resolved by the end of the day and my order is in the queue for assembly. :-)
The automailer says that my order is "5-8 days from shipping". When I talked to a person on the phone when I had questions about my order, I asked them to be honest about the order time and they said they are a little backed up, and may be closer to 10 biz days. I'm fine with that as long as the new rig is built well. :-)
1/26/07 UPDATE 2
I was getting nervous this week, having not received any status reports from DS this week. However, today I got an email saying that my new rig is in the "burn in" stage, which is Stage 3 of 5 of my order. Hopefully all will go well, and my rig will be stable when delivered. More to come :-)
1/30/07 UPDATE 3
--13:55 PST--
Just received notice that my rig is shipping. I did a final check of the order and made sure that everything was okay, and I noticed that it was being shipped to a "business" as opposed to a "residential" address. I decided to call them because UPS/USPS can be sketchy in my area.
I called DS on their 800 line, got through to someone in customer service, was asked to hold, and was somehow dropped. I called again and got the answering machine on both the customer service and sales lines.
I'll update again (if) when I reach them on the phone.
--14:15 PST—
Called again, got an immediate response from "Trung" in Customer Service. Told him I've had problems with deliveries because I'm a somewhat rural area, and to switch the shipping status from "business" to "residential". He said he would do so and let me know that my rig will probably ship in a couple of hours :-)
1/30/07 UPDATE 4
Got my UPS tracking number today via email @~16:00 PST. My only worry is that UPS doesn't screw up the shipping. I'll post more when the rig arrives!
I'm very excited that my first new machine in over 7 years is due to arrive soon :-)
2/22/07 FINAL (?) UPDATE
I’ve had the system for over 3 weeks now, so I think I’ll post some final thoughts.
The Machine was very well packaged, no things loose in the box, and the UPS spud even dropped the machine right in front of me when it arrived. Luckily it was well packaged. The binder is a great idea, and I ended emulating it in organizing all my games/drivers/programs etc.
First Boot with the machine went smoothly, although I did have to validate Windows and update it (more on that later), and the AV/Internet Security program was not up to date when shipped. These are minor issues to me, but it would help if DS did these things before shipping a “new” system.
Everything went well EXCEPT the Windows Update. It appears that my configuration did not like one of the Optional Updates, and it kept hosing my Internet connection. I was able to troubleshoot the problem myself (being a former Tech for an ISP), although I did not have the time to track down the specific update that kept skrewing my system. I merely used the Windows System Restore and all was well. I guess with some of the cutting edge tech I have in my particular rig doesn’t play well with Windows…
As to everything else, the machine ROCKS in a Yngvwie *&^%$n Malmsteen way. I don’t have a cutting edge monitor, so all resolutions are at 1027x768, but the games I do play (Doom3, NWN2, ES:Oblivion) are playable at great framerates with full eyecandy activated. I am very impressed with the machine as a gaming rig, and applications I run (Adobe Photoshop CS, Office), all run very smoothly. I am very happy with the machine. Customer service with DS has been acceptable, and I don’t anticipate having to call Tech Support. I am very happy with my machine, and would recommend DS for the technically savvy buyers out there.

This company is awesome. You are treated very professionally right from the time you place your order. During the building of my system they had trouble testing the motherboard that I had picked and they got in touch with me asap about it. During the shipping of my system one of the video cards got damaged and they are replacing it right away and paying all the shipping. The system is really nice and is very quiet. I play online games and they are running smooth as silk with this system. I would recommend Digital Storm for anyone who wants a custom built gaming system. I can't say enough about how this company treats there customers.

I will definitely order from Digital Storm again if I need another computer. I have had only good experiences with this company. I ordered a very powerful gaming computer (close to $5,000) in July, 2006. The price was good compared with some other popular websites. It took about 3 weeks before I received but that was understable because of all of the extras that I added (2 top of the line video cards, extreme liquid cooling, more testing time). The customer service at this company was extremely good. Whenever I called to check on the status of my order or asked for information on something, there were always people who answered my calls almost right away (most of the time, it was Jason). In October 2006 , my computer stopped working. I called and a technian named Trung who was very polite and knowledgable answered my call. He guided me patiently over the phone to find out what was wrong with my computer. He told me that he believed the power box no longer worked. He gave me 2 options: (1) I sent the computer back they would fix it and return it to me (2) he sent me a new power box (better than the one that I had because they no longer carried that one and other people had the same problem with it) and I returned the defective power box after I received the new one. He assured me that if I chose option 2 then he would guide me over the phone to connect the power box if I had any problems. I chose option 2 because I didn't want to wait long for my computer to get fixed and in part because of his assurance. I received the new power box about a week ago (I did have to pay about $13 for shipping, but they pre-paid for the return of the defective box). I did install the new box and that fixed it.
When I buy something on the internet, I always read "customer reviews" about that website. I appreciate people who write the reviews because they are very helpful to me. I hope my review is helpful to you.

Based on my recent experience with this company, I will tell you now that they will have all my future business if and when my recent purchase doesn't keep up any longer. From my first inquiry and dealings with them, they have been nothing short of exceptional. They took their time explaining everything, and I am not a novice but I appreciated their responses and feedback in determining my final system. I placed my order which included the new direct-x 10 card, the 8800 series by Nvidia.
There was a problem with the batch of evga 8800's they received and rather than hold up my order they offered me the upgrade model by MSI, at no additional charge. I appreciate their honesty about the bad batch and genuinely appreciated the offer of the MSI card.
I received my shipment and from the minute I opened the box I knew I had done right by using Digital Storm because they packed my unit so well it could have withstood an atomic bomb. Just kidding but it was exceptional. I hooked it up and loaded the most computer intense game I had lying around FEAR. Well I cranked everything to maximum and said "Lets see what it can do". Well all I am going to say is "WOW"....It played smooth as silk. I was blown away !!!
To end my post I would like to say that DIGITAL STORM will continue to have my business and I will tell everyone I know that inquires about a new computer to look DIGITAL STORM up. I am so pleased that I called to ask for an official banner to display on my teams website, www.infinityclan.com.
On a scale of 1-10, I give Digital Storm a "Perfect 10"
Thanks Digital Storm, you have one very staisfied customer....

Purchased my system from Digital Storm on 11/8/2006. The purchase experience was definitely great. I received updates about the whole process of my purchase. Computer arrived in Digital Storm branded box and was well packaged. The system has been up and running and I have been glued to my computer ever since. All my games run a hell of a lot faster and I am able to max out all of the visual settings. To sum it up, I am definitely very satisfied with my purchase with this company and have no hesitation to recommend them to friends.

These guys know their stuff!
Dell doesn’t even come close.
What you are getting is a hand crafted precision instrument with standard hardware (not proprietary), way, way, better tested than you’d do on a homebuilt.
I probably won’t need another computer for five or more years.
If my house caught fire, the first thing I’d be hauling out is my Digital Storm, (after the kids).
Revisit:
Well, I’ve had the system for going on four weeks now (including a return to DS for various issues, most of which were minor).
It seems the Asus mb has a very slow cold boot-up, at least with my particular configuration, it caught me by surprise. If you are accustomed to fast booting machines (as I am), you may be prompted to press the switch twice. There is also an issue with droning noises from the fans (which DS techs swore they could not detect). I’ve concluded that this is a compound oscillation problem between the various motors vibrating in the case. This could probably be reduced or voided by using a foam insulating tape around the fan units. My “quickie solution was to place the system on the floor, under the table.
My overall satisfaction is very high. This is a great system for the price.
I will definitely order my next system from Digital Storm.

Easy to order; competitive pricing; kept me informed of the status of my new computer; arrived early(!); works perfectly; customer binder and original driver CD's were nice touch. First class all the way!
