You really can not go wrong with Digital Storm. I've had my Digital Storm computer for almost a month now and it is running great! The look of the computer is very clean, inside and out. Digital Storm at the time of my order was the only online computer company that I could find that had an A+ rating from the BBB. With all the reviews I read, not just from Digital Storms own forums, but a ... Read More

I was searching for a new computer and used bing.com. I preferred an Intel processor and an Nvidia video card and the search used those criteria. My friend over-clocks and builds computers from scratch so when I read that Digital Storm would be able to complement the system with a stable burnt in over-clock I was interested.

I’m a recreational XBOX360 game builder coming from the XNA Creators Club and needed a better system for Auto Desks Softimage Mod Tool Pro, ZBrush, the C# Microsoft XNA Game Studio 3.1 and Torque X game engine.

For me it’s about pricing, and convenience of a completed product. So if someone really wants to try to build and over-clock there own system, there’s some links to make sure they are getting the best competitive price. For me the best place to ensure stability of the finished system when over-clocked was Digital Storms’ factory specs.

My computer arrived, I unpacked it, read the manuals that they gave me, gave it the once over, plugged it in and got back to working on my game.

Digital Storm has made my hardware transition worth the effort, and now I know why they enjoy providing there systems. They do there homework so I can do mine.

(1979) I started out with a Z-8080 Tandy TRS 64k, which included a 32k expansion interface, and had two music-cassette recorder players as sequential non-volatile memory to store and recall my programs, black and white monitor with one font output, and a keyboard which needed to have loaded a keyboard-debounce utility, at every computer boot, to verify what was sent was what was received. That was before the mouse was an incorporated add-on.

(2009) Thirty years later it’s not just a product, it’s the added value that’s worth the investment, the service and the product price.

Good work and thanks for delivering. ILI – I Love It!

I must go back to work now. G’day.

The machine works really great. It looks amazing. I love that I was able to customize the machine to exactly what I wanted. It has the components I wanted and is red and black, my favorite colors. Having priced other companies, Digital Storm is extremely competitive. I even looked into building the machine myself and could not have done it much cheaper than what I paid getting it built by Digital Storm. The only complaint I have is because Digital Storm was in a backlog it took a little longer than expected. I was e-mailed multiple times letting me know of the delay and that they were working on it. Other than the delay I have been extremely happy and would purchase from them again, as I already have, as this is the second machine I have bought from them.

On-line ordering was fast and easy. I received numerous confirmation e-mails on the status of my system. It came as promised, no damage, and booted right up. They even sent videos of how to unpack and set up. Couldn't be happier. It has run extremely well since the day it arrived. I can't comment on their customer support because I have not had to use it, and hopefully never will, until I'm ready to upgrade. I highly recommend purchasing a gaming system from Digital Storm.

I had a great experience with DS. I had been looking for a new computer for a few months and stumbled upon DS in a magazine. They had some pre-configured rigs on sale and I took a chance on one. What a great machine! It's well built and runs well. DS has great customer service and everthing went according to plan. I feel very fortunate to have ordered from them, and I saved a few bucks! As a person who looked at over 15 online computer companies, I can tell you this is your best option.

I purchased a pre-built gaming rig from this company and could not be happier. Here was my experience:

-First, bought a rig from a competitor (ibuypower) it was shipped with components disconnected, a video card was actually hanging b/c they didn't secure it with a screw, no special packing etc. I had to return it b/c of hardware errors 2x and finally got a partial refund.

-Second- I was referred to www.digitalstormonline.com by a friend, I selected a prebuilt computer that would easily meet my needs of 2 boxing World of Warcraft, on highest graphic settings with no lag

Third, because I had asked that the PC be shipped to my office and not mailing address...they actually called and wanted to verify my credit card information. This was my first inclination I was not just dealing with a chop shop, instead a firm that was more interested in security for the consumer.

Fourth, I was able to log in daily and take a look at where my PC was in production. From the OS being installed, to the testing of the hardware. The status was updated daily and I was able to know where my PC was in the process at every step.

Fifth- The PC shipped and promptly arrived. The PC, and a few accessories were packed snugly in the box, no rattling, nothing shaking around. When i uppacked the box, and opened up the case of the machine I found expandable foram packing as well as some extra foam in other areas of the case. This was JUST as i had seen on their websites videos describing their packaging..(this was night and day different from the shit ibuypower company that had sent my PC totally unprotected)

Also in the box was a 3 ring binder, with all my systems DVD's neatly organized, a certificate signed by 4 employees verifying different stages of production and testing and even packaging!

Sixth-(almost done) When unpacking and setting up the rig i realized one of the case's fans was unplugged (because of the foam packing the wiring was just neatly bound but not hooked up). I rifled off an email to digital storm's tech support line just to see if it needed to be hooked up. TBH putting my hand over the top of the machine after it had been running for an hour felt like I had my hand over an airconditioner it was so cool...so I didn't even know if the 4th fan was required. Anyway, i emailed them at around 3pm..fully expecting to hear back va email within 48 hours. Instead, 15 mins later my cell phone rang. A technician walked me through where to hook it up immediately. Obviously, this was such incredible customer service I was floored.

Summary: This is the best online retailer I have ever dealt with. I will be upgrading my wife's machine in another year and this is the only place I will be looking for options. I have told all of my friends about Digital Storm and my positive experience with them. At least 3 are buying from them in the next couple of months. If you are looking for a new PC, look no further!

Digital Storm is always on top of their game. I am extremely satisfied with the high quality customer service, tech support, and computers. If you want a high quality custom built computer then Digital Storm is where you need to look.

It's also great to know if a problem does arise that I can talk to someone that is actually in the US and not someone that I can barely understand that is in another country.

Pricing: A
Deals: A+
Staff: A+
Hardware: A

The entire process of selecting, buying, and using digital storm products and services has been exceptional, to say the least! I can honestly say I wish every company, computer related or not, had Digital Storm's dedication to their work and their customers. They are the only company I know of that put your order through a rigorous stress testing routine for several days before shipping in order to screen it for malfunctions, as well as provide you with a DEFAULT 3 year warranty where as other competing companies I researched provide you with 1 year warranty and charge hundreds of extra $$$ to extend it beyond that.

Price: A
The prices for their products are more than reasonable if not even cheap when compared to their competitors. When researching companies to buy me new computer, I found their configurations to be hundreds of dollars cheaper than the same configurations at a competing company. I don't know if that is always the case, but it was for the several configurations I have tried with them before deciding on one. I would have given their prices an A+, but I know that if you scoured the internet for deals on various websites, checked for compatibility between your hardware, ordered everything from separate manufacturers, and built the system from scratch yourself, it'd come out cheaper. But I figure, the extra $200 give or take that you save by doing that is not worth the hassle. No stress testing before shipment, if there is a malfunction you have to RMA the parts with 10 different companies with varying policies, etc., it's just not worth it! And you get a full 3 year warranty from a single source for ALL of your computer needs!
Deals: A+
This is more of a price sub-section, but I felt it should be separated. Let me just say that their configuration deals are simply INCREDIBLE. POWERHOUSE systems that can take down the pentagon for hundreds if not sometimes a full $1000 cheaper! The only difference being that you can't modify the build without paying full price. But when saving that much money, do you really need to paint the inside flaming red with neon green screws and a cup holder? If you want a huge BANG for your buck, here it is! If your budget is a little smaller, I highly suggest checking out the deals.
Staff: A+
The staff working at digital storm has always been extremely polite and very professional whenever I called. If their in-house technicians were unavailable, they have always called back to my number that same day ready to solve all any and all of my problems. If a problem slips through their stress tests, which does happen occasionally, their staff is beyond knowledgeable and will problem solve with you until the very end. If all fails, their DEFAULT 3 year warranty for parts and services kicks in and they'll rebuild your entire system!
What's also great is that their staff is always checking the user forums, which I began to visit pretty often after buying my new computer. This place is just magical, the way all the users there stick together. In the past several weeks that I've been on the forum I see people ask absolutely any question imaginable regarding choosing parts, over clocking, liquid cooling configurations, fixing problems, opinions and very technical questions etc. Within a day or two the thread is flooded with answers. It's just great to know that I can always come online, ask something on the forum and come back to a hoard of digital storm fanatics throwing answers and suggestions at you.
Hardware: A
The hardware they sell is always top notch. They use, what I feel, are some of the best manufacturing companies for the various components they sell. No A+ because customizations with them can cost an arm and a leg... but if you can afford to get an awesome computer and also want all the bells and whistles with custom paint jobs and etc, then I doubt the price is a problem for you anyway. I'm glad all that extra stuff is optional because I certainly would not be able to afford it, haha. If you have any questions regarding what kind of configuration would best serve your budget and services, stop by the forums, maybe I'll see you there! But all your questions will be answered, that's a promise!

Digital Storm has definitely impressed me and won me over as a repeat customer from now on. I hope all of your experiences with them are just as good as mine. I've been a PC power user since the early 90's and build and upgrade computers for everyone i know. I HIGHLY recommend this company.

This is my fourth custom gaming computer over the last 13 years. This is the first order from Digital Storm, but it will not be my last. Customer and technical service is handled in house, not outsourced to India or Costa Rica. The techs who built the computer are the ones who answer the questions. A big PLUS in my book. Components are all first class with no corners cut. The computer runs exactly as advertised, like a cat on crack. It's quiet and I've not had the first problem. A real MS Windows disk is included along with a Recovery Disk. Beware because some custom builders only give you a recovery disk with Windows on it.
The best part is the price. Considering the hardware used, this computer is not much more expensive than the sum of all its parts (purchased through wholesalers) and without all the headache of building and tweaking.
If you take the time to read Digital Storms forums you will see that the rare problem is fixed quickly and efficiently.
Warranty is one of the best out there... 3 years.
If you are looking for a custom built computer, with attention to detail, Digital Storm is your answer.
I will definitely be having them build my next computer.

I have had my Digital Storm computer for about 2 weeks now. I have to say that I have had no issues with it at all. I have had an exceptional experience with my Digital Storm purchase. From the moment I clicked add to cart they have been on top of my order. I received constant information on my order and its status. Everything from the shipping conformation to updates on the testing process and even on the computers actual performance and temperatures during testing. Even down to the packaging Digital Storm provided a great and reliable shopping experience.

What can I say? Digital Storm did just about everything right. I didnt interact too much with them in terms of customer service because mine was a pre-build. They did, however, call me almost immediately after I placed my order to let me know I had missed a piece of information they needed to process it. I have never had that happen before. Most online orders are long and drawn out for the wrong reasons. That is always a problem for impatient customers like myself. This one took about 2 weeks and I was going nuts but not because of any wrong doing by Digital Storm but because they seem to be perfectionists and do not want to send me a broken, beat up, incorrectly put together monstrosity like some other businesses I have ordered from online. Aside from this, the machine was beyond my expectations in terms of little extras such as cosmetic touch ups(led fans etc). If i were to nitpick and think of any complaints I might have it would be that it didnt come with the graphics cards i was told would be on it. The ones that are on it are just dandy, however, and well like I said it was a prebuild. It could have been one of 2 brands and it was the opposite of the one I was told.
Anyway, five stars, It arrived on time, it works great, Looks great, I couldnt be happier.

I have purchased two computers with this company and both of them have been great. Previously I've have purchased computers from other companies, and built my own as well.

The best reason I went with Digital Storm was because if I had any issues, they would be there to help me resolve them. I needed to replace a memory stick that went bad on my previous Digital Storm system and they shipped me a replacement fairly quickly.

Above all, there's nothing really to add to all of the comments already said. These guys are doing it right, and I highly recommend them. Purchasing experience, shipping, delivery, support are all top notch.

Digital Storm is a really terrible company to purchase a computer from unless you live in or near California. I live in Illinois and my system had to be replaced once at the very beginning because UPS destroyed it due to DS's teribblt thin packaging. Then it died and had to be repaired within a year because of bad hard drives. Now my hard drives are going bad again and they won't send me any new one's that work. This is all because they replaced my original 2 750 HDD's with 3 500's and didn't bother to tell me about it. Since i received this system, I have had numerous other problems and the only viable option is to repair it myself after they send me a replacement. I've had 3 DVD drives go bad, 3 mobo's (which I replaced through EVGA because DS would just screw it up), and 1 CPU. They expect the customer to pay all shipping charges for replacement parts or service. I will never order from them again and I advise anyone thinking of ordering from them to just build your own.

Digital Storm has consistently provided the best service to its customers as proven by its reseller ratings score and "A+" BBB rating. We could not have achieved this reputation had we been bad to our customers or selling a deficient product.

@DSh8r requested that we send two 750GB hard drives to replace the three 500GB hard drives which @DSh8r felt were unstable. To take care of our customer we went ahead and sent @DSh8r the two hard drives and covered the shipping cost. @DSh8r claims that we have not done this, which is false.

What is true is that @DSh8r has indeed received the two hard drives, but noticed that the outside packaging was slightly damaged per conversations with Eric, the customer service supervisor. Rather than opening the package to confirm if the hard drives were in fact damaged or plugging at least one hard drive into the computer to confirm proper operation but has refused to try and left the package unopened.

Digital Storm does in-deed cover shipping cost (both ways) including parts or even the computer within the warranty term if it’s within the first 30 days of delivery of the unit.

@DSh8r's refusal to open and see if the hard drives are working are unfortunately an example of the inconveniences Digital Storm has had in dealing with this specific customer. To make matters more difficult, @DSh8r has often been harshly verbally abusive to our customer service representatives whom themselves are trying to help. Yet, Digital Storm has never refused to help @DSh8r and even till this day, is happy to help with any issues that may arise.

@DSh8r please contact us via email management@digitalstormonline.com at any time to further resolve this issue and will we will be more than happy to resolve the problem.

All we would like to do is have @DSh8r test the hard drives and if they defective, we will be more than happy to send replacements on our cost. They are packaged in a manner that will allow physical abuse to a package in transit to our customer and still arrive in tip-top shape.

We sincerely do hope that @DSh8r will rethink the current unreasonable stance in this situation so that we can finally help @DSh8r get up and running again.

Warmest Regards,
Alex

Digital Storm is reliable, customer service driven, and competent at building an exceptional high performance machine.
Due to my previous experience purchasing a gaming computer I told myself I would never buy a performance computer again. Instead I decided I would piece together my own and hope for the best. My previous computer has turned out to be one of the most expensive paper weights known to man! All expectations of performance by that machine were let down in a barrage of “blue screens of death” AND crashes that would make even the most experienced and seasoned computer technician’s head spin.

I was first introduced to Digital Storm about a year ago via CPU magazine. I tooled over to their website and began snooping around. After creating a few custom builds on their website, I started having flash backs to my earlier purchase. A memory of dropping a sum of cash that would suffice for a healthy down payment on my next car! I thought to myself, “What makes this custom manufacture stand apart from the rest in the industry?” At that point I did research on Digital Storm’s website.

After browsing the entries in the Configuration Discussion column, I was instantly impressed with the level of input and communication by the members. The Customer Review section revealed that the majority of purchasers were simply blown away with the level of craftsmanship put into their new rig and the performance they received. The few posts that expressed issues or concerns were immediately addressed from Digital Storm employees attempting to rectify the said problems. It was clear to me Digital Storm does not want their customers to feel any low level of satisfaction. After dealing with the lackluster customer service from my previous “4-letter computer company”, this aspect of Digital Strom alone, was enough to win me over. However with the release of Intel’s I7 around the corner I decided to wait and see what it was all about.

It wasn’t till a year later that Digital Storm began offering their “prebuilt systems,” at an unbelievable price. Mind you, I am from the adage, “If it seems too good to be true, it probably is!” Turns out I was wrong!

I called to speak with one of their salespersons to pick their brain about the pro/cons of the particular system I was interested in, the Extreme 2. I spoke with James, and to my surprise I was NOT told, “this conversation would be recorded for training/ records purposes” Our conversation had a “friendly” tone to it rather than a vibe found on a used car sales lot. James answered my questions about the video cards and when I asked about the liquid cooling, he told me that this particular one was not the best on the market. However, Digital Storm stands behind it and it will get the job done. Which again reassured my faith in the company, and demonstrated they were not out to drain my wallet, but rather provide a rig that would meet and exceed my expectations.

Digital Storm’s level of customer service is simple, they answer the phone, they act on customer’s requests, and they follow through with what they promise.

Once my system arrived, I quickly, but cautiously removed my new system from the box and began to go over everything checking for loose connections or screws. In my exam, I found one screw that had fallen out during shipping, but because the wiring was in such order, I quickly found the home to my rouge screw. I had read about Digital Storm’s craftsmanship and the attention to detail they display in building their systems. But until you open the case and see your hardware completely free of clutter and the typical rats nests of wires and cables, it really hits home that you now own a exemplary machine!

After my inspection and hooking up process, I powered up. Since then, I have had a hard time keeping my jaw off the floor. The system runs flawlessly! I ran some benchmark tests and was completely blown away at the scores I was getting. The system does everything I was told it would do and more. My games run seamlessly, and my multitasking issues are now completely non-existent!

Digital Storm has restored my faith in buying a system opposed to building it myself. If you are on the fence about a purchase from this company, I recommend spending time on their forum and calling to speak with their sales crew. There should be more than enough evidence to help you formulate an opinion whether or not Digital Storm has your best interest in mind. Odds are you will be convinced they do.

All in all, I am 110%, without a doubt, satisfied with my choice in Digital Storm.
