Bought an Asus G1S from BTOtech on the 4th, it was shipped 5 days later, arrived after the weekend on time by UPS. The laptop arrived in perfect condition, everything was installed and setup with all modifications I ordered complete.
After I had made the purchase, I got an email from the staff/Eddie thanking me for my order and who reffered. I never had any company reply to me as fast as BTOtech did... with a real person and not a automated message too.
Their prices were good...very good. I compared prices to other online resellers and I got the one I wanted with all the extra goodies AND a awesome warranty for the same price as some other resellers who claim to be cheaper.
I'll be doing business with this company in the future if I can help it. 2 thumbs up! This review was modified by its author, DeathByCactus, on

As an international customer I was very wary about ordering from overseas, but am glad to say I am very happy in all matter of customer service that I have received via Eddie - Geared2play - not to mention the superb notebook I now own.
My notebook arrived promptly (really speedy delivery) and even though I had a slight hiccup with it (which we have now found to be due to Vista OS itself) I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of communication and no nonsense directions I recieved via Eddie as he tried to troubleshoot my problem for me.
All emails were answered promptly and the customer support that I received even though living thousands of miles away was just fantastic.
No hesitation in recommending any buyers here to purchase through Eddie, and his highly professional shop.

I am an international customer and I bought a new ASUS laptop from btotech. It arrived in perfect condition and I am very happy with the purchase.
I agree that the web site could do with some snazzying up and so could the printed receipt which arrived with the laptop. Another suggestion is to automatically provide an electronic copy of the receipt for international orders as they are required by customs officials at the destination country.
Overall my experience was very good, my emails were answered promptly and my order left NY in a reasonable time frame. I'd buy again no worries.

I ordered an Asus G1S from btotech.com Wednesday night. It was promptly shipped the next business day in the morning and arrived via UPS Ground the next Wednesday. The laptop was in complete working order and I have had no problems yet. The order was out of state as well so I save a bit on tax.
I made one call to btotech on Thursday regarding the order and was greeted with prompt and quality service.
The only small faults were that UPS was quite slow with their ground shipping (although it was from NY to CA, and this is mainly the fault of UPS), and that the btotech website is not the most professional that I have seen.
Other than the above mentioned small issues, I had a very good experience with btotech and I would recommend them highly. This review was modified by its author, ggyyzz, on

Laptop would not boot in battery mode. Discussed problem with btotech who confirmed that the problem may be with memory. Btotech sent new memory next day. Will definitely buy again in the future

Purchased 2 laptops at this store so far. Was very happy with the product. Asus makes very sleek notebooks. Dropped my main notebook on my kitchen floor. brought it in brooklyn at their location. Was prepared to wait a few weeks however the tech there actually fixed it on the spot. It cost me over $200 because damage is not covered. I will be back to shop again. It is hard to find such service locally. Going back now I think the damage protection may have been worth it.

So I ordered this computer 2 1/2 years ago and it had been running fine up until now. I even took my own proactive steps (air dusting bi-monthly etc.) to try to prolong the life of this computer to maybe 5 years. Instead, 3 weeks ago the CPU overheats and from there it went downhill. A week ago the CPU just died out. The computer wouldn't start so I thought it was maybe a power supply issue. It wasn't. Immediately ordered a new CPU because thats what I thought it was next. Then I remembered I ordered this computer from these guys and wanted to see if they had any insight (Such as if any other customers experienced similar problems). Instead, I talk this guy named Eddie who acts like a know-it-all, when in reality, Geek Squad from Best Buy knows more than he does. He assured me numerous times that its not the CPU, as that rarely occurs with CPUs. The first thing Geek Squad told me was after explaining the situation that the CPU probably went downhill after the over heat.
Long story short, this company is run by incompetent knuckleheads. They sell exactly what the spec say, but if you ever need to deal with a problem, expect plenty smart-ass remarks. You'll be better off buying it from a more reputable store, one that doesn't have a tech support team consisting of a few fools that think they are omnipotent. That doesn't mean I'm saying go to BestBuy and let the Geeks choose one for you, but rather I am telling to think twice before making a purchase. You may or may not get a sh*tty product, but either way if you have a problem with it, you'll have to deal with know-it-all support that does NOT know-it-all.

Disgruntled customer did not like the fact that he was told the odds of the cpu failing vs. the motherboard is 1 to 100. He takes into his own hands and replaces the cpu which to his delight was actually broken. Take your odds to a poker table and see if you make any money. Conversation and attitude of the customer went downhill when i explained it is out of dealer warranty. Under normal use the cpu is the LEAST likely part to fail. Customer self admitted over clocker and has tampered with the system. He seems to think that my advice of checking the mianboard first before the cpu is not accurate. Go figure. Mr. “I have a college degree I know what I am doing” thinks he knows how to diagnose a no post no diagnostic situation. You need about 10 more years of experience to figure out that belittling me by email because i gave correct advice was retaliatory. You also forgot to mention that all your emails and phone calls were answered promptly and professionally. Offered customer free estimate and diagnostic if pc returned to us however his reply took a different stance once his new cpu fixed the issue. I dont know it all however i do know. A college degree obsviously did not teach you to keep your temper and nasty remarks to your self. I look forward to serving everyone else with my know-it-all remarks on numerous forums i Frequent including our own asusforum.com |

My purchasing experience with this site was exceptional. They answer all my questions within 30 minutes of sending them an e-mail. The online chat they offer was easily used and gave even more prompt answers to my questions. I will definately do business with them again when I'm in the market for another notebook. Thanks for the great service.

Excellent experience. I was able to spec out the laptop to my liking and get a pretty spectacular warranty on it to boot. Customer service was very responsive and I received the laptop within a week of purchase, which is also a good thing. I'll definitely recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a laptop in the future.

Received my Asus G1 last week (Tuesday). The packaging was in good shape and so was the laptop. The G1 is excellent for all kinds of applications not just for gaming. I've installed Oblivian & S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and both work great. Wish Windows XP was still available as an OS choice for new computers. Lots of software aren't very compatible with Vista yet, but other than that, the G1 is working great!... I received my laptop within 7 business days and that was including the day I placed my order, and it was only UPS ground. That's fast!
BTOTech did an excellent job of answering all my questions via email. It didn't take Eddie very long to reply. Thanks for your outstanding customer service! I wouldn't hesitate to buy from you all again. This review was modified by its author, musela1971, on

A GREAT Asus dealer. Answered all my questions by email or live chat. Computer and docking station I ordered came at least a day before I expected them to. Both in perfect working order and well packaged. Would use this company again in a heartbeat.
