Indeed this is a complicated situation from our end and not so complicated from your end. You placed an order specified a shipping address, and it was not delivered there.
On our end, we have a customer that placed an order with multiple addresses listed on their account and the wrong one was batched into the shipping label. We have no way of knowing that you longer live there and cant make contact with your old address. With our shipping verification system, we shipping label was created with an address on the customers account; although again it was an old address. We simply ask that you keep your account details current.
The US Postal Service unfortunately has very little mechanism in place for insuring packages. The most definite and secure package shipping company is always UPS. Even if the package is delivered to an incorrect address they have mechanisms in place so that Charges can be filed for people who steal packages, even if delivered to their address by mistake. The package was delivered as explained by the Post Office. Unfortunately the people who live there might not be honest enough to admit that.
Please keep me informed.

STOP!! Don't order from this company. Again, do NOT order from this company. Placed an order for several items, one was the wrong size (the right size was listed on my invoice) and another item was defective upon arrival. The only way they would replace either item was for me to pay the shipping to return the wrong & defective item. They make their customers pay the shipping to return items they send in error and for defective parts.
In addition to having to pay the return shipping cost, you have to wait until they receive and process the returned items before they ship the replacements to you. If you need the item(s) right away you are out of luck. I thought about ordering my defective/incorrect items from another company and just get a refund from Performance PC. This way I could cut down the amount of time I had to wait by avoiding having to wait the time for my return shipping and their processing time. However, if they issue a refund, even on items they shipped incorrectly and on defective parts, they charge you a 15% restocking fee.
Thats right, when they make a mistake they still charge you a 15% restocking fee. Make you pay return shipping and make you wait an extra long time or pay a 15% restocking fee.
This isnt a company you should do business with avoid them. They have absolutely no concern for their customers and absolutely dont treat their customers fairly. Do NOT do business with them at any cost. Ill bet they will soon be out of business given their very poor customer policies.

Purchased compression fittings for my watercooled system. Purchased 70.00 worth, which is pricey. Every single fitting was the incorrect size. Supposedly verified by 2 people that the shipped item was correct = double fail.
Making the customer pay for return shipping for the company's mistake = triple fail.
RMA's e-mail box was full after being informed by phone that I could only get an RMA number through that e-mail = quadruple fail.
Overall just a poor experience. I can't say anything positive about the experience. Even the e-mail on the RMA response made it seem like the dept didn't believe I knew the difference in sizes.

Long story short, I ordered 2 items (about $10 toal), they sent to the wrong address, which got stuck in a loop at the post office, getting bounced back and forth between CA and FL 3 times!! So 3 weeks later they finally call me to tell me its back in Fl and they are charging me shipping again to resend it.. I say no thanks give me my money back! So now they want to charge me a restocking fee too... even though I didn't return the package - I never received it to begin with! And a week later they still haven't even started processing my refund... so besides wasting a month of my time, now I'm out about as much $ as the parts themselves cost.
They say the address is my mistake - way to blame the customer when things go wrong, make them pay for it... The only mistake here was placing an order with Performance PC's, a mistake I SHALL NOT MAKE AGAIN!!

I ordered a PCI Express to molex adapter cable from this company. When this componet was received the wiring was incomplete and not properly heat shrinked leaving a a 12 volt wire exposed. I attempted to contact the company and the tech said this would be okay to use. Then they told me the only way to do a return was to email them and receive a RMA. They also said someone would call me back when I said I was not happy with the part. No one would call. I basically ended up with a large run around and fixed the part myself. I will not be doing business with them again.

Ordered a power supply. It only lasted 2 hours and when I called to get a refund, I was given the option of:
1)pay to send it back to them (my cost) and a 15% restocking fee
2) recieve store credit (still have to pay to send it back to them)
3) pay to send it back to them and wait another week for a replacement power supply.
I purchased a power supply locally in lieu of the faulty part, so I didn't need another.
I purchased an item at a set price with set shipping to me. I shouldn't have to pay to get a working version. The total costs escalate and I end up spending more money. there are certainly other retailers that take care of their customers and this one does not. Once a product leaves their door, it's up to you to spend more money if you have problems.
I called them and explained what had happened and the guy seemed angry I called. He was short with me and rather frank and rude. I purchase LOTS of computer products. Please read their terms of service. If you have problems with their products, you are expected to pay more to get the situation right. I'll stick to other vendors for my large purchases. This place is ok for a simple cable. Guess you can't screw that up.

Arrogant, deceitful, and petty. This retailer acts as though they're doing the customer a favor, breaks their own promises, and can't handle disagreements professionally. In particular, they try to avoid the cost of shipping replacements for defective items.
The case I ordered was defective due to a crooked, misaligned seam. I sent them photos of this problem area, and they responded that "this case looks the same as any other," suggesting that I try to repair it myself. However, because this was due to the placement of a rivet, I requested a replacement, and they agreed. After they received the defective case back at their location, the manager called me and stated that now they would either send the exact same defective case back to me at my expense or issue a refund less the wire sleeving charge and original shipping. He also stated that it was "ridiculous" that a note I had included with the defective case asked that the instruction and catalog sheets (which they had badly wrinkled when repacking the case after sleeving) be exchanged since another case was to be sent anyway. Obviously I didn't want the same defective case back--I sent it to them for the agreed-upon replacement, not to pay shipping three times for nothing--and their desired "refund" would have cheated me out of almost $100 since I would be out the wire sleeving charge and shipping both ways, and still be without the case that I ordered.
When I reminded them that they had agreed to a replacement and asked why they had breached our agreement, their only response was that there was "nothing wrong with it," which was also their response BEFORE a replacement was agreed to and the defective case was sent back. The real reason was obvious: they did not want to pay for the shipping charge to send me the agreed-upon replacement, even though I had to pay to send the defective case back to them. Thus, they lied so that they could stick me with all of the costs involved in dealing with this defective case.
I asked if I could speak with anyone higher up, and was told that that the owner could be e-mailed. I came to find out that he answers most of the e-mails sent through the address on the website, and that when he wishes to insult customers without speaking to them directly, he hides behind this method of communication. A detailed e-mail that I sent to him about 12 hours after speaking to the manager was never answered, and a few days later I noticed a credit to my credit card account that was far short of what I was entitled to given that I simply wanted them to honor their word. I had again asked for the agreed-upon replacement, but was instead refunded less sleeving and shipping charges, as if I had changed my mind and asked for a refund. Since they unilaterally decided to issue one, a few days later, I ordered the exact same item from FrozenCPU.com, received it very quickly, and had no problems whatsoever.
As a result of their unethical, deceitful behavior, I had to initiate a chargeback. When the retailer learned of this, they revealed their true character via a nasty message (full text with authenticating headers available to Reseller Ratings) in which they used profanity, called me a "seriously mentally deprived individual," and stated that they had contacted other resellers to add me to a customer blacklist.
This is quite a contrast to my communications with them, all of which were businesslike, displaying the professionalism that they lack. Ultimately, my bank absorbed the chargeback because they didn't want to spend more time on the matter. Thus, while I didn't lose any money on this ordeal, it nonetheless caused much needless aggravation and wasted many hours of my time. The lesson here is that if you risk ordering from them, you'd better hope that there aren't any problems with the merchandise. This review was modified by its author, integrity01, on

Please be aware that Performance-PCs does not have an RMA telephone number, nor do they do RMAs via fax--strictly via e-mail. I made several attempts through their website and via e-mail to obtain an RMA number, with no success. It took almost three weeks, after calling their sales department for help, to finally get someone to assist me. And, after all the frustration, I was still unable to obtain an RMA number. I was referred to the manufacturer's RMA department. I will not make any future purchases through this retailer. Also, shipping took a considerable amount of time for regular ground priority. It took eight days for the package to arrive at my doorstep. I am very dissappointed with this company and the way it does business.

Just received a computer fan from this website. One of the three wire connectors was cut off. Trying to get an RMA or refund on it. Will never buy from this company again. Here is a picture of it:

5-19-08: Received the RMA'd part today. I still think it's unacceptable for a company that hand sleeve's their fans, and has two signatures of quality control on my order receipt to ship me a defective part. This review was modified by its author, j3ff86, on

BE CAREFUL. Performancepcs.com is a bad e-tailer. This company will ship you items even if they are missing pieces or defective, and when you try to exchange them on warranty or just because they are defective, they will send you rude e-mails talking about something completely different and drag the process on and on until they're exchange period is over and then you have to deal with the manufacturer directly (which you can't do until the sellers exchange period is over). So you'll end up with a defective item which you can't exchange for at least a month (minimum). Customer satisfaction is definately not a priority with this company, and the snobby, rude remarks do not help. I've placed 7 orders in a short time frame with this company and each order has ended up having some sort of an issue, but I can gladly say I've learned my lesson about shopping at Performancepcs.com and will not be doing it again, too bad for them, I like spending money on stuff I don't need, and I've found a few good online retailers to spend my money at. Goodbye scam artists, enjoy the lost sales, you deserve it.

I placed an order with this compnay and when I recieved my package there was 10 female fan molex fitting's missing I sent them an email telling them of the shortage they promptly answered saying that if there were two signatures on the invoice I recieved the parts. I told them that I diden't recieve them. After this I could see this was going nowhere so I told them to not worry about it. I hate writing reviews especially when they are negative. The more I thought about it I decided to post this the total of the missing items is $2.90 not a big deal. When I told them to forget it I thought they would at least offer to ship the missing part's but they diden't. It makes me think they think I am lying If I was going to try and scam them out of something it'snot gonig to be for $2.90. I could contest the charge on my credit card but for this amount it isn't worth the hassel. I'll have to think twice before I order from them again.

Ordered Zalman 9500 LED cooler. CPU contact plate was badly warped. Others have reported this problem on NewEgg.com in the past but I felt that Zalman had probably addressed the problem. I reported this and asked for an RMA (RETURN)
Performace PC's asked how I determined the problem. I replied. They then offered to "inspect and replace IF warped". I replied, asking if they would either offer a refund or inspect the replacement cooler themselves before shipping to insure that it was flat. They replied that "They did not have time for this" and to "let them know" (if I would be returning the cooler for inspection. I would probably have recieved another warped cooler from a bad manufacturing lot. If you are a system assembler and have high standards for your components, you will get a bad one occasionally.
If you just put stuff together once in awhile, you probably would not have caught this critical flaw.
Avoid this vendor, regardless of the ratings.

I will never buy anything from these crooks again. I ordered a custom Lian Li G70 watercooled case from them with the radiator installed and a few other things. When I recieved the case I opened the box and inspected the case and discovered the pump they had installed was just held in place with velcro and had come loose durring shipping and had puncured large holes in the radiator. It had also broken the resovour.
I e-mailed them no more that 20 min after the delivery time verified by the UPS tracking # to see what could be done to get me replacements since it was clearly their negligence in packing the case for shipping that had allowed this to happen.
I recieved a responce to my E-mail in 4 hours telling me that that "James" would call me. I waited 6 days and never recieved any phone call so I E-mailed them again and was was told that "Hank" believed "James" had left me a message but he would check. I tried to e-mail them again 2 days later but never recieved a responce to my e-mail or a phone call. A phone call to their phone # gets an answering machine.
I ended up haveing to re-order the damaged parts trough DangerDen.com and realised that I still could not put the system together because on 3 of the 5 fans in the case there are no 3-pin to mylex 4-pin adapters and everywhere online I've looked is out of stock.
Thanks for nothing Performance-PC's!!!! This review was modified by its author, viskase900, on
