I Purchased a Yamaha RXV659 from www.buyriteelectronics.com using a credit card.  
I phoned Tony at BuyRiteElectronics.com the next day inquiring about shipping because I did not receive a Tracking number via email as the site suggested. Tony said he had 6 in stock and my order was good to go on Friday Dec 8/06. Sunday  
I phoned again but their voice mail was FULL. I emailed also. Monday I had no reply. I phoned Tony once again Monday afternoon. Now his story is that this order is to be "Drop Shipped from the Supplier". I told him if the shipment doesn't leave Monday to cancel the order. He told me he would expedite and call me right back. Still no callback at days end Monday.  
Now its Wednesday, never even got a courtesy call from these guys. I faxed them instructions to cancel the order as I will buy from someone else. Heads up when ordering from these guys!

I ordered from this site after calling to confirm the items were instock with paypal to protect my creditcard info. A day after they accepted payment, they denied payment for no reason. I didnt get ripped off. But something is wrong at Buy rite. Beware!

I purchased (more so tried) a underwater digital camera kit. I waited about a week after I received a confirmation email for my order and not receiving any type of tracking number before calling. They said they did not have any and said they would email me the next day as to if they would be getting any in. To this day, I never received any other form of communication. The didn't charge my CC, but I was planning on having this for my upcoming vacation, and now do not have because I was waiting on this company to deliver. It makes me even angrier that they never contacted me again to let me know if they would or wouldn't be getting the merchandise!

Buyers BEWARE!! DO NOT TOUCH THEIR WEBSITE!!! This seller is a thief. I bought an expensive Plasma Television (SONY KLV-32M1), and it was delivered a month late and when I finally got it the screen was CRACKED. I called them and told them about it and they tell me that its the shippers (UPS) fault and that I should get the money from them. I called up Sony to ask them if it is something that happens once in a while and they said that if I got it like that the seller DEFINITELY sent me a cracked screen on purpose. When I called BuyRite back at first they were rude and nasty and they got downright ugly. While I have since given up hope of getting back my money, I feel that it is my duty to warn the public to steer clear from there website.

Once they received the money and sent you the goods after sales support is inexistant. Been emailing them 3 times about my HK AVR635 front door not shutting down i had to call them to be referred to Harman Kardon support who told me to retuen the unit for exchange since tem email buyrite again no answer back to request for exchange ...this just show poor customer service .Because they do not want to honor Harman Kardon Warranty i have to pay $75 to have the door fixed ...will not buy from them again unless they shape up their customer service ....it is unacceptable that they do not reply to email request for support

Ordered a Samsung DVD-L1200 after finally finding a store willing to ship to Canada. Placed the order but credit card used was blocked (brand new card, standard security procedure according to my bank). Promptly called the bank and got it reactivated, then got in touch with BuyRite the next day via e-mail, told them the transaction may have been blocked, told no problem they would bill it again.  
 
Two weeks later, after no action on the order and several phone calls (told each time they would 'call me back') I got fed up and cancelled my order. Go ahead and order from them if you don't mind being treated like dirt.

My wife, who is Russian, misses movies in her native language (we live in Nova Scotia, Canada). Her parents are visiting us for two special reasons: the holidays and to help with the arrival of a new baby. They brought with them 100 movies in Russian VHS format for their daughter; my wife was very excited.  
 
Well, we needed a VCR capable of playing the Russian movies and the Samsung SV5000W fit the bill. We shopped around in Canada and the prices seemed a bit high, so we went to Ebay. We discovered a retailer in Brooklyn NY, Buy Rite Electronics, who had some for sale at $299 plus shipping; a fair bit cheaper than they were in Canada. Needless to say, we ordered it from them.  
They mentioned nothing about the validity of their warranty in Canada (and yes, I should have asked...I guess that's how we learn...but they offered shipping to Canada so I figured I was relatively safe...why would the offer their products to Canadians if they weren't warrantied?)  
 
It arrived a day or two before New Year's, and as New Year's is the BIG holiday in Russia(they don't celebrate our Christmas), my wife and her parents were ecstatic that they could watch the traditional holiday movies they were accustomed to back home.  
 
Well, we put the first tape in and it "ate it". Once we untangled that tape from the unit, we tried another. Well, it didn't eat the tape this time, but it didn't play the audio and the video faded in and out. "Okay," we thought, "we'll try another tape"...the same; another tape...the same; another tape...the same; and so on. No mprovement.  
 
Well, intentionally or not, we got a lemon. I sent  
Buy Rite Electronics emails; at first polite, then  
not so polite. Anyway, their story was that they were "unaware" of the null warranty outside of America (interestingly, after they told me in another email that the warranty was good worldwide). They offered an exchange; which would be great if I lived in New York City.  
 
Unfortunately, I'm in a foreign country, God-knows-how-many miles away, stuck with a brand new piece of equipment with apparently no warranty, and certainly no support from the retailer. If they would pay the shipping that would be great; but they won't.  
 
So I guess I have to take it to a Canadian Samsung service depot and pay for the repairs myself.  
 
I'm dissatisfied with Buy Rite Electronics, Ebay (for faciliting this fraudulant transaction),  
and Samsung for distributing their products through a questionable retailer. Most of all, I'm dissatisfied with myself; I should have known better.  
 
Buyer definately beware!  
 
P.S. It kind of ruined my wife's holiday; she was so looking forward to it, so excited, only to be cruely disappointed (moreso than usual, however, as she's 40 weeks' pregnant! :-)  
She was also amazed that a retailer could get away with this; she said she would never have experienced this in Russia. What, better customer service in Russia? Yeah, I guess so!  
 
If you compare the Entity Information filed at the New York Division of Corporations for 1. Buy Rite Electronics Inc. and 2. Buy Rite Digital Corp., there is some similarity in geographical location. Also, doing a WHOIS search of their domain names reveals the same similarity.  
 
I'm not saying they're related in any way, but they both seem to be based in Brooklyn, NY, according to the above information.  
 
Draw your own conclusions; I'm sure they're not related in any way, shape, or form, but one must be careful and investigate fully any online retailer when you're about to give them hundreds (or thousands) of dollars of your hard-earned money.  
 
My opinion is to shop locally and pay a little more for the service one should expect

Horrible!! I ordered my husbands gift on the 14th of December and I have STILL not received it! We called to ask where it was, we got the run around from two different people, they said they did not know what happened… well a day and ½ later we received an email saying it was shipped out on the 30th of December and we would not receive it till the 6th! 23 days after I ordered it! My husband ordered my mp3 player the same day from another internet site and I received it less then a week later. I will NEVER order from buy rite electronics again! It was our Christmas nightmare!! My husband had nothing to open on Christmas and my surprise was ruined!! It was his only gift this Christmas since we have a new baby in the home and all I wanted to do was give him the one thing he really wanted and thanks to buy rite it was ruined!! They could have least owned up to the mistake and told us what had happened on the phone or given us an apology!

I purchased a brand new MV900SDS Sony Dream System overhead DVD player for my car from Buy Rite Electronics but it arrived in an open box and was defective. I have emailed them over a week ago and received no reply. Their website has since gone down (supposedly for improvements), and their phone does not answer (message queue is full). I don't know what to do now. Beware.

First, they forced me to call my bank to enter an alternate shipping address. That's fine because of the possibility of fraud. The part that upset me is that they shipped to my home address anyway, than argued with me about it saying that I was at fault. Amanda was rude and argumentative. The price was right and the item got here in a timely manner. Just don't expect good customer service.

Excellent expeditious service. Ordered Yamaha RX-V663 receiver via their ebay listing. Very accomodating to my offer and shipping request. Talked to Tony salesrep via phone and confirmed purchase price and promptly sent Paypal invoice and swift shipping. Great shopping experience. From past negative reviews, best to pay via paypal and use ebay to purchase their items to protect you from poor customer service. You can recover your lost monies if transaction does not pan out.

Hello people, OK first I must say that buying anything over the internet can be intimidating and difficult. I use EBay on a regular basis and I search hard to find the best price I can and frankly who doesn’t. I was looking to get a DVD/VCR combo unit for my grandfather in law for Christmas so he can watch his older VHS movies and new ones on DVD. I finally found a store that seems to have the BEST prices on EBay especially for Canadians. I made my purchase and went to pay. Now here is where I ran in to a little trouble and I mean nothing major just a snag. I use Paypal for my EBay things to make it go faster but they don’t take Paypal payments from Canadians because stupid Paypal will NOT confirm my address. Why I don’t know so I can see why they don’t take it but at the same time I had to trust them to take my credit card number over the phone and not abuse it. Well it turned out just fine. Next was shipping now for some reason Americans love to charge an arm and a leg for shipping to Canada. Unfortunately it was not any different here. It was a little costly to ship even thou I live across the border in Ontario. I blame some of the cost on the dreaded UPS. Most Canadians hate to use UPS because of there ridicules fees but the gentlemen that I talked with at BuyRiteElectronics explained to me why they use UPS and Not USPS. Anyways it all made sense and I completed the purchase. It came super fast and everything was in order.

Some problem at first as item is no longer available anywhere. They called me and we worked out a substitute at a good price. They called me at least three times, keeping me up to date, along with emails including the tracking information.  
I am a happy customer, especially with their communications.  

Perfect transaction! I bought a Samsung model  
LN-S3251D TV. Ordered it on Monday - talked with Tony. Nice guy. He said it should ship Wednesday.  
On Wednesday, I received notice UPS had it and would deliver it on Friday. They did. Perfect condition, very satisfied. I saved $498.93 even after paying S&H over the "big box" price here. I would do business with Buy Rite again.
