I let my mother use my account to purchase from these people and what a mess it turned out to be. She paid for the order in full to them and told the customer rep if it could not be sent by exact date then cancel entire order. Well guess what? They sent 1-2 pieces at a time and charged her for shipping/handling on each order even though she already paid for the entire order. Thats what this company does, they never have your entire order in stock so they bill you for each piece then bang you more for s/h. She called so many times and complained since she didnt want my account screwed up and they basically told her nobody had permission to promise her a delivery date and nothing they can do about the s/h charges. Not to mention they tried sending her wrong items and charging her for them. I wrote to them and told them to shove the account up their as* and I will not pay them another cent. I will never purchase from these people again. Also check out ripoffreport.com check out their rating over there. All these customers cant be wrong. They are lucky it was my mother not me because i would be documenting everything and filing charges with BBB and Consumer Affairs and even Atty General in their state for their business practices. I'm sure theyre already on their list so i wont bother at this point.

We ordered 21 items 12/4/05. After several rude customer service people, and a week and a half with no shipping, we spoke to a male who CLAIMED he was a supervisor and said we would receive our shipment by Christmas. This was on 12/19/05. He said we would have to pay an extra $13 for shipping, and we agreed because these items were Christmas gifts for our 2 young children. Only 3 things arrived by Christmas, so we had to lie to our children about where the rest of Santa's gifts were. The last item did not arrive until 52 days after the original order, which we PAID FOR on 12/4/05. We spent $205, and were charged $150 for shipping. When we called to complain and inform them that we would not be paying for shipping, as they did not follow through on their word, the manager was actually yelling at us and telling us we were liars - they don't even HAVE any male supervisors, and what's more, there is no record of our numerous phone calls. What I recommend to ALL of you, is to go the Better Business Bureau website and report them; I did it last week and already our ABC account online has been credited $100 of the shipping. Good luck to all of you!

I have never ordered an item from this company, nor received an invoice; however, I just received a collection notice from Pinnacle Financial Group on their behalf for $39.02.

This order was shipped Oct. 6, 2004. Every item I ordered was confirmed "available." When the shipment was received, two of the items ordered were missing, although the packing list did not indicate that. I immediately notified ABC Dist. via their web site of the missing items. I received email confirmation on Nov. 17, 2004, that the missing items was available and ready to ship. I then received email a month later, (Dec.15, 2004), that one of the item had shipped. As of Jan. 22, 2005, I still have not received the item! I received email confirmation mid-Dec that the other missing item was available and would be shipped. That item finally arrived the week after Christmas - it was ordered the first week of October! I've emailed ABC Dist. several times to inquire about the whereabouts of my missing items. I also sent two emails asking for a refund of the item price. Each time I got back only an automated response asking that Customer Service be given 48 hours to respond to my email. The last automated response I received was Jan.3, and I've yet to be contacted by customer service regarding the missing item, or a refund! I've also called ABC's customer service phone number numerous times. Each time I am placed "on hold" for no less than 15 min., and have waited as long as 28 min. before I hung up. Keep in mind that ABC Dist. does not provide a toll free number, so these long "on hold" calls are at the consumer's expense! Jan. 21, 2005 - I finally reached a customer service member, (after being "on hold" for 17 minutes), who has now informed me that my item apparently was never shipped even though I received email that it had, and over three months has now passed since I placed the order! She said she will give a refund for the item price, but it will take 21 days to process it. That is a time lapse between placing the order and obtaining my refund of almost 5 months! After speaking to her, I then asked to be transferred to a customer sevice supervisor, and was again "on hold" for 14 minutes! To add insult to injury, someone then picked up the phone, said "hello" and hung up! ABC Distributing has the worse customer service I've ever encountered in the retail business!  
 
UPDATE: As of March 5, 2005, I still have not received a refund from ABC Distributing for my missing items, nor have I been contacted by them to explain the delay. I've submitted four requests via their web site, plus two phone calls to their "customer service dept." asking for refund since November, 2004 to no avail. My advice regarding ABC Distributing is: Buyer Beware!!!

In mid-March 2004, I placed orders online with ABC Distributing Inc for Easter gifts for my children. By April 1, they had not yet been received and I contacted the company to determine where my shipment was. They informed me that my order was on hold as my payment had not yet been received.  
 
Lacresha in their customer service department, advised me to pay online with an e-payment for the shipment to be released. After noting to her that I already had a check in the mail, she stated she would note on my account to disregard the check upon receipt.  
 
My e-payment was immediately processed in the amount of 57.33 USD, plus a 1.50 USD fee. The sixth of April, my check was also processed in the amount of 57.33 USD. This forced an overdraft charge from my bank in the amount of 30.00 USD. My bank paid on the check, but charged me the overdrawn fee as there were not funds to cover this transaction.  
 
I immediately contacted ABC Distributing Inc., regarding this charge and spoke with Stephen in their service department. Stephen stated that if I sent out the statement showing that my account had been debited not only the e-payment, but the check as well, and showing the overdraft fee, his supervisor, a Wilma Shepard, would be able to have the funds reversed to me.  
 
During this time, I still had yet to receive my packages. FedEx advised that I contact the company I ordered them from in order to have them file a claim.  
 
On April 26, the overdrawn fee of thirty dollars and the check amount of 57.33 USD, which Stephen had stated they would credit to my account, was instead debited from my bank account.  
 
I contacted ABC Distributing once again and spoke with Gregory in customer service. He asked me to once again send the documentation proving as such for him to have this situation rectified. He stated that the online print out would suffice to show this information.  
 
April 28, 2004 I called the company to verify the status of this debit situation and to see what other information I needed to gather for them to rectify and refund me the fees. I spoke with Lacresha again at this time and explained to her how I had been debited 201.99 USD, as well as the overdraft fee, and still had yet to receive my order items. She transferred me to a Ms. Alfred.  
 
Ms. Alfred listened for about two minutes as I shared with her the history on my account and she expressed to me that any payments that arrive at their facility they process. There would be no way that any employee had stated that they would not have my check processed. I stated I understood that this was my problem as I should have cancelled the check. However, I was still out all of the funds, even not counting the 30.00 USD overdraft fee.  
 
Ms. Alfred informed me initially that their company had no means of refunding customers for charges, however they could credit my account. I shared with her I still had not received my orders to date and had no interest in having credit in their company to purchase further items. Ms. Alfred asked that I send to her attention the documents previously sent to the other representatives. She gave me her "direct" fax line number of 305/919-1908 and I faxed the documents to her attention.  
 
April 29, 2004 at noon I received a call from Ms. Alfred who had received my papers. She stated that their accounts receivable department did not cash my check, as it had the same check number as my e-payment check. She asked that I look at page 1 of 3 of my fax. I did as such, and read to her that the 57.33 was the paper "mailed" check and that the 58.83 was the e-check. I had also included a scan of the paper check numbered 1085 in the amount of 57.33, showing the ABC Distributing Inc. bank stamp on the back of the check.  
 
At this time, Ms. Alfred began interrupting me and raising her voice to the point I had to pull the phone away from my ear. She informed me that the scanned copy I had sent of my check in no way proved that it was the same check noted in the print out of my bank statement and unless I were to send to her by mail the actual cancelled check, and my actual bank statements, she could do nothing further.  
 
I informed her that this was not how customer service regulates business and that I would pursue legal actions if I had to, in order to get this dealt with. I reminded her that I had paid their company now an excess of two hundred dollars and had yet to receive my orders. At this point she then set the phone down and went away. I held for an additional thirty minutes prior to hanging up and contacting my bank to handle this matter on my behalf to get my monies back.

Very disappointed with this seller. I ordered $150 worth of merchandise, and during the ordering process I never could find out how much shipping on all these items would be, so I continued with the online ordering, thinking it has to be disclosed... it never was! Now, I'm getting nearly EVERY item sent individually and the cost of shipping each item is about $8 per box! I ordered about 10 things, so this shipping is going to be ridiculous! Needless to say, this is the first and LAST time I'll ever order from here again. The good prices don't outweigh the cost of shipping. It's outrageous!

Items did not ship in time for christmas and the shipping charges are more than the products. I don't like the fact that I open a product and had to pay shipping over again because it was not labelled. The prices are great but shipping is way too high and my items never ship when expected. I ordered some christmas cookies like 5 times in November, they finally told me they were out. Then they sent them in January.  
I am disgusted with ABC.

ABC Distributing used to be a pretty good place to order from. However, my most recent experience has been a nightmare and I will no longer do business with them....no matter how beautiful and tempting the catalogs may appear!!  
My order placed in December (5 items) was divided in to seperate orders, shipped at different times with different invoice numbers, rather than shipping together. When I complained they did remove one of the shipping charges (gave a "one time" 7 dollar credit). The final package took a month to reach me and all calls to the company were fruitless....I got 3 different stories from 3 different people and ultimately was told that the fault was the USPS mail service from FL to WA state....which is just crazy as I recieve packages from all over the U.S. on a regular basis and I have NEVER had USPS take a month to deliver! The ABC "customer service" reps kept saying the problem was with my mail carrier. My USPS rep says this is a cop out and false. The USPS does not take a month to deliver a package after shipping.  
 
Additionally, the website offers no way to email the company with a problem....a simple "contact us" button or some email addresses and customer service reps to address problems may be helpful.  
 
In this day and age of internet commerce I have found this company the least enjoyable to deal with and marginal on their ethics. I suspect the items that we order are actually drop shipped and not in a warehouse in Miami FL at all!! If they would come clean and say that up front prior to receiving orders, it might be different, but I don't have the time to play their shipping charge and waiting games.

I ordered an item for a Christmas 2003 present. On 10-13-03 I received an order acknowledgement for the item I ordered. I received the item on 11-04-03, along with an item I NEVER ordered and that was NOT on the order acknowledgement that ABC Distributing sent to ME. I tried repeatedly by long distance to contact someone to find out how to get them to pick up this item that I didn't order. I have since made numerous long distance phone calls, complaint letters, faxes and also a 37 page official complaint with the BBB to no avail. I finally paid for the item they sent that I didn't order, so they would stop harassing me, but I still want my money back and for them to pick up this item that they made the error on. I have bought things from this company for a long time, but if they don't do something with their poor customer service and correct this problem at their expense, I will never buy from them again, and I will let everyone I know that they do not honor their guaranty. You know, the 100% customer satisfaction they state on their website. UPDATE-- as of March 25, 2004 I still haven't had the courtesy of a response back from ABC Distributing, but I do have a letter from the BBB serving Southeast Florida, stating that ABC Distributing hasn't responded to my complaint. Guess they need to take the Christian symbol off their packages....sure doesn't sound like a Christian thing to do...cheat your customers and avoid them at all costs ! CHECKED OUT WWW.LAKESIDE.COM VERY NICE....ABOUT THE SAME TYPE ITEMS...VERY NICE....SO FAR AM A LOT MORE IMPRESSED WITH LAKESIDE THAN ABC DISTRIBUTING.  
 
LAKESIDE.COM IS A SISTER COMPANY TO ABC DISTRIBUTING....PERSONALLY, IF ABC DISTRIBUTING TREATS THEIR CUSTOMERS SO HORRIBLY I WOULD NEVER BUY FROM A SISTER COMPANY !  
 
***** 9/26/2005---after waiting for 22 months for this problem to be corrected...and it COSTING ME QUITE A BIT FOR CERTIFIED MAILINGS, ETC...I received a PARTIAL refun...and an acknowledgement that THEY did make a mistake...but no apology for their horrible treatment and lack of customer service !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

received a letter from the BBB with a copy of what ABC had sent them...they basically won't admit fault and act like they're doing me a favor by giving me a "partial" refund after 22 months...this is a pathetic company !!!!!!!!!!!1111

I have had nothing but trouble with this company getting them to correct my account for errors that they have made, charges for items that were cancelled and never received. I placed two orders in Dec.2002 received the 1st shipment in full paid in full and sent a check in advance to cover the next shipment which I was told was placed on hold due to the order size and value. This apparently was my mistake to pay in good faith in full for these items. My order could not have been placed in a hold status if so I should have immediately received in full my shipment upon receipt of my check for $208.50. I did not. I did not receive one of the items at all and I have yet to receive that credit. I finally cancelled two items that I had to replace with something else. ABC shipped one of these items anyhow and I refused shipment, credit has not been given. I continue to try and resolve this issue with the company and they will not call me at the number I have provided, ignored my written communications and continually send bills that are put in a past due status. My account should be paid in full, no balance. I have taken all of my shipping papers and added the shipping charges which were not included in the $208.50 check that I sent to pay for each item ordered. I deducted the cost of the one item that I had not received and sent them a check marked paid in full, which they cashed to cover the shipping and handling charges which I owed. They still cannot get it right.  
 
I just received another statement 3/10/03 still showing a balance of $24.84 for an item which I cancelled in early Jan. due to the fact that they could not supply this in my needed time frame. I have not received this and they still are charging me. I will not pay them another dime nor will I ever order from this company again. The customer service is outragous.  
If you can get this cleared up I would appreicate it. Thank you for your attention.

IN THE PAST ITEMS WERE SENT ON TIME AND ALL ORDERS FILLED. THIS LAST ORDER DID NOT ARRIVE AND WHEN ADVISED I RECEIVED A LETTER ADVISING THAT IT HAD AND WAS SIGNED FOR BY A D. PENN. I CHECKED WITHT HE FEDEX DRIVER WHO IS D. PENN AND HE ADVISED THAT HE LEFT THE ITEM OUTSIDE MY RESIDENCE. WHEN I ADVISED ABC OF THIS THEY CONTINUED TO SEND BILLS AND REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE FACT THAT I DID NOT RECEIVE THE ITEM. I HAVE CONTACTED MY ATTORNEY REGARDING THIS MATTE AND WILL NOT DO ANY FURTHER BUSINESS WITH A COMPANY WHO REFUSES TO LISTEN TO ITS CUSTOMERS WHEN THEY HAVE A PROBLEM. I HAVE DONE BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY FOR OVER SEVEN YEARS BUT WILL NO LONGER.
