you had the best price on the web, $600 cheaper, thats considerable, plus free shipping, and even after geting the warranty, you were still cheaper than all the others, quick shipping, it arrived a day before schedule, good place to do business, friendly staff, there was evn a problem with the cc billing and they rectified it as quick as possible, and shipped it out promptly
I was very nervous about this purchase after reading a lot of the reviews of the seller. So I called and they said they would go ahead and process my order (and then was hung up on). I got it timely and it was the model I ordered. I think it is possibly a refurb unit eventhough it was not advertised as so. It is not surprising considering the low price. I just wish it had been advertised correctly. Also it did not come with the memory card that is supposed to be included. Thankfully I had already ordered a larger card elsewhere. Otherwise I was pleased to get my product and in a timely manner considering some of the reviews I read from other customers. Low expectations=moderate satisfaction.
That was my worst shoping experience ever.
They send me wrong aftermarket memory stick instead of original one which I ordered.
They called me to verify my shipping address and than I get more expensive camera which i did not ordered, they said I upgraded during our phone converasation - CHEATERS, CHEATERS, CHEATERS.
They send me wrong, cheaper memory stick, they charge me anyway more than expected, i could not return this memory stick without being charged at least 15% for restocking fee.
Once they get your credit card number they will send whatever they want, and is nothing you can do.
I did notify authorities about their fraud activity.
Do not ever try to buy anything from them.

I am very satisfied with the results of my resent order and I am planning in the near future to order some other things. This is the second item that I have received from "the new connection" and I will let people I know how good your program is.
I called FotoConnection to make sure they had a laptop in stock. They said they did so I ordered it online. I waited 3 days and called to see if the laptop had shipped. They said it did not ship but they would call me back that day with more informaion. I never got a call. I called the next day and they said the laptop was not in stock yet (remember they said it was 4 days previous). They said they oversold the laptop. I told them to cancel the order. I will never do business with them again. Stay away!!

FRAUD! I placed an order for a Nikon D80 today, received the confirmation email and got the "confirmation call" three hours later. On the item page (Item number NKD80) was clearly stated that the battery charger would be included but now I should pay an additional 149$ for it. I don't buy from a shop that lies to me so I cancelled the order immediately. Stay away from this shop, you won't make a bargain anyway so save your time and place an order at a trustworthy store in the first place.
Typical bait and switch. Rude customer service (he hung up on me when I didn't want to pay for extra S&H!) Price lowest advertised but it is never available. Always backordered. BEWARE!! Worst I've dealt with in years!
A representative called me to "confirm order" on a subwoofer the same day. Wanted me to also pay for a "gold pin cable", then a "service plan", then "shipping insurance", none of which I wanted. Tried to trick me into paying for the insurance without telling me he raised the price. Very rude attitude. Finally, the next day, when I called them to find out about status of my order, the representative hung up on me twice as soon as I gave him details about the order. I am not sure what to do now. Horrible experience.
I discovered this web site after I had already purchased my Sony DSC-W70 camera. Needless to say, I was paranoid waiting for the camera to come in.
I called them to receive assurance that they were in fact a legitimate organization and I ended up getting the requests to purchase "accessories." I ended up buying an extended warranty and a memory card from them, as they were offered at a good price.
They shipped out the very same day I spoke with them and I received it 4 days later via UPS ground. I must admit, maybe I'm just lucky, but I had no problems whatsoever with them. The product is brand new and I got it at a great price. Based on my experience alone, I would do business with them again.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE. I had the worst experience with their customer service. I ordered a Garmin C530 and the order was under "processed" status for 6 days. I called and talked to some degenerate named Eddie who told me he had left several messages (which he didn't).
The reason why my order was held up was because they wanted to sell me on some extended warranty. When I kept telling him no, he told me condescendingly for me to let him finish his sales pitch.
I should've paid attention to all the bad reviews, but instead I got suckered into the "low" price.
I should've checked here first! Long story short, I think I got out unscathed (we'll see if they really cancelled it when the credit card bill arrives). It's a true shame that shady, bait-and-switch retailers like this are still in existence and apparently thriving. I'm getting my revenge a click at a time.. those ads on Google are rather costly for the retailer if you keep clicking on 'em :)
Rating should be 0, that's ZERO stars! Can't believe these knuckleheads are still in business - should be shut down! Horribly rude customer service, false advertising - could not get a straight answer on what exactly I was trying to order, when I would get it, or how much I would pay for it.
Placed an order for a camera, and when I called to confirm, was told that I had ordered a Chinese model! Website had no indication of different languages - hey idiots, this is America! Don't be surprised that customers want things in ENGLISH!! Worse yet, was told the English model would cost another $100!
Got that worked out, then waited over 3 weeks and still no shipment. Called twice more for status, everyone extremely rude and not helpful, then was told that item was no longer available! Fortunately I was able to cancel order at that point with no charges to my credit card.
I hope everyone at this company reads these reviews - never, EVER do business with these jerks!!!!!
I do not have much to add to the thread other than I wish I had researched on resellerratings.com before placing an order with fotoconnection. My story is no different from the others. I held my ground and did not purchase their extended warranty (after being lured with a low price). I called in the next day to check on my order (I paid for overnight delivery) and they told me the item (Garmin c550) had not been 'released from the factory'. In the meantime, the item was still listed 'in stock' on their website and they never told me the item was out of stock when I called to confirm my order (something they require you to do).
This store is horrible. They lure you to purchase items with really low prices. Seems great, but it isn't. Before they would ship the camcorder I ordered they called me to try to give me the hard sell on several accessories that were very overpriced. When I refused the person was very rude and it made me concerned if I would ever get the camcorder I ordered, so I just decided to cancel the order.
