As fotoconnection.com has to decided to rebut my implications about the quality of their service publicly instead of addressing our concerns let me share some information about why we purchase a roreign camera in error. The website you see now is a vast improvement in clarity over the webpage we saw when we bought the camera. There were no words about the camera being an import in bold letters and only an experienced shopper would have noticed that a "USA warranty" was being offered whoever they are. Bottomline on the receipt , which we will upload to the web, doen't have any mention that THIS IS A FOREIGN OR IMPORT MODEL. NOT UNTIL NIKON INFORMED US THAT THEY WON'T HONOR OUR WARRANTY DID WE KNOW THAT THIS IS A GREY MARKET CAMERA. We have always wanted a US camera and would've never bought a camera without the Nikon warranty. Becareful of these tricks if you aren't experienced.
This trick has been going on for decades.
Nikon issued a recall on the D5000 after like many other customers the viewfinder went dark. When we went to Nikon while we were on vacation, they told us that we had a grey market product and wouldn't honor the warranty.
If you want those kind of headaches go ahead and take a chance.

Our records indicate that you have placed your order through our website back on 05-16-09 for an imported Nikon D5000 Camera. Fotoconnection.com does advertise and sale USA and import products directly on our website. Both products have warranties included with them. You have purchased the Import model which was $100 cheaper than the USA model at the time of purchase. You have informed us that has an error after 4 months of usage and you sent it for repair, Nikon is willing to repair the camera under warranty at no charge to you. You have requested to send the camera back for an exchange for a new one 5 months after the date of purchase. Unfortunately we cannot exchange the Camera because our return/Exchange policy is 30 days, The Camera is already registered to your name with Nikon and our service manager confirmed with Nikon and they do have your camera and it is currently being repaired. Please notify me as soon that you get your camera back from repair so we can extend your warranty for an extra 3 years at no charge to you.

Factory packing was intact. Minor damage to a drawer in shipping replaced by the manufacturer immediately within a week. I ordered this heavy item on 8/23, received it at home on 9/9 (Little later than expected) and received replacment drawer from the manufacturer on 9/22 after two weeks. Received a call from FotoConnection also on 9/22 almost after one month of ordering. They were the cheapest among the sellers on internet.
I am very happy with my order. I really appreciated not only the email telling me that my order was shipped, but the phone call I received to also tell me it was shipped. I was told I would have my order by Wednesday the 23, but actually received it on Tuesday the 22.
Called for a price, very friendly sales help. Product was delivered on time and in great codition, as promised. Defenatly will use PotoConnectin again for quick, friendly service with competive prices.

Service was absolutely impeccable. This is the second time I have dealt with www.1stopcamera.com and I'm a customer for life. They are a reliable company that proved it when: My mother had purchased a blu-ray player just about 2 years ago from them.
The blu-ray player was damaged in transit when it had shown-up at her front door. Well, she called 1stopcamera and they had a new one out to her around 4 days later.
I ordered a microwave on Sunday - on Monday I received a call telling me my order had shipped and a tracking number and an estimated delivery date of Weds. My shipment arrived in perfect condition on Tuesday - a very good experience and excellent customer service - I highly recommend!
