I was told by the salesman that I would be quite pleased with my purchase, and I was. I ordered an expensive light meter which arrived very quickly. It was mint, although the box was dented. Everything was in the box exept the instruction manual, which was easily downloaded from the Sekonic website.
So, I got a new light meter for the cost of a used one on the auction sites.
What a deal! Highly recommended.

I was looking everywhere for a reasonably priced, brand name, portable multimedia player and really only found it at TechforLess. (Another seller found by chance.)
I didn't care that it was refurbished, and never felt that it was worth ~$350-$400 it was going for as "new" most everywhere, even eBay. I took a risk, and wound up very happy with the purchase--which was less than half the retail price.
The item was as described, and working in perfect near condition. It's still being used today, and has worked wonders for impromptu presentations and conferences.

Condition: Non-manufacturer refurbished
Price: By far the best I found after a lot of searching - needed a new computer for school, on a limited budget this one has every feature I want and techforless had a price I could afford.
Warranty: 90 days from Tech For Less
My computer expertise: Experienced with XP Pro, not at all with Vista.
Had a few pre-sales questions which were answered promptly and politely.
Ordered this on 6/30, it arrived a few days later. I wasn't sure what to expect cosmetically from a non-manufacturer refurb, so was more than pleasantly surprised when I pulled it out of the box and saw that it looked brand-new. All the accessories that come with the new one were there also.
I had issues with it (even though it said I was an admin, I obviously wasn't) after I booted it up and went through the initial automatic Vista user setup. I was tempted to reinstall from scratch, but decided to call customer service first. I had a good discussion with a very helpful rep, who agreed I should reinstall from scratch, and told me to call back afterwards if I was still having issues, and we'd talk about either an exchange or a refund.
Reinstalling (from the handy recovery partition) did the trick. Everything is functioning exactly as it should be, and I am very very happy with both the machine and Tech For Less.
As an added unexpected bonus, when I registered the PC on the HP web site, it turns out it has 3 months remaining on the manufacturer's warranty, so I was able to puchase an HP extended service plan. Nice! This review was modified by its author, dasseattle, on

I ordered a HPC5280 All-in-One printer and scanner which arrived quickly in an extremely well padded box. Unfortunately the glass panel for the scanner was broken. I called support and had a new scanner shipped to me immediately with no hassles. This is the best support I''ve gotten from an online company. I was so impressed I purchased a refurbished IPod from them the next week. I am delighted to find a business with great prices and unexpectedly great customer service. I am recommended TechforLess to all my family and friends.

Got two great products and two killer prices.
Got a Sammy T240HD and Sammy 2233BW for son's computer-all works great and cosmetically near-mint.
I don't ask how or why, I just buy when I have a need from T4L. Thanx and God Bless

I didn't know that they sell refurbished items and clicked a link from Google and purchased an APC UPS from them. However, I have received a defective UPS. Called the customer support line and got only recording message. I will not buy from such a merchant again.

I have mixed feelings about tech for less but positive overall. I purchased a Rock Band 2 set that was considered 'open box'. Which is better than used or 'scratch & dent'. It is supposed to be complete and tested.
The instruments were a pleasant surprise. They did seem to be in new condition, with the exception of the guitar head, which had been taken off without depressing the plastic piece that holds it on, breaking the latch. Thats a fine, and only cosmetic problem (the guitar head stays on fine now, no harm no foul).
The disc was in poor shape though and had not been tested as they said it had. It was badly scratched and not playable.
All bad right? Well no. I sent an email and left a voice message on their customer support line (no response but I didn't give them much time to send one because I called again the next morning). Katie was extremely helpful and had a new copy of the game in the mail soon. I received the new disk last night (6 business days from the original order).
I would shop from them again. I was unhappy that the disk was not functional, but they get points for sending out another promptly (and I did not have to send back the old disk first).
Overall, I think they are serious about guaranteeing what they sell.

I ordered an open box Sony Bravia HDTV from Tech For Less online for a great price. TV arrived promptly but was defective. I emailed them and described the problem. They called me WITHIN 5 MINUTES and without any hesitation, insisted on sending me a replacement they promised to test fully before sending. They paid for the 2nd shipment and return shipping on the first TV. Replacement TV works perfectly. I see some others here describing bad experiences, but my experience with Tech For Less couldn't have been better and this was an expensive item. They were responsive and stood behind their product. Would absolutely recommend them and will do business with them again.

I would not do business with this merchant ever again. I wrote an email the same day I received the product saying i wanted to return it (I was following the process required by the company to return it)...I still have not received an answer from them.

First time I write a review. I've been buying online for many years with mixed results. This time, the experience was so outstanding that I feel compelled to write about it. The price was unbeatable, the online process flawless, no annoying follow-up call to try to sell you stuff. Delivery charges were very reasonable and I got my TV less than a week after I ordered it. The delivery was fantastic, the guy brought it up my driveway and through my garage which stands 20 feet above street level. He even took it inside my house, opened the box to verify content, everything was perfect. Highly recommended store.

Purchased an open box FM transmitter. Upon receipt, I hooked it up to find that the dock connector does not attach properly, and I can get only intermittent sound, often very quiet and in Mono, not stereo. I have emailed 3 times with no response, through Google and directly, trying to obtain an RMA number. Will not be purchasing from here again - will be disputing with the credit card company if I do not hear a reply within the next few days. DO NOT buy from this site - poor customer service standards!

I would just like you thank you for your excellent customer service and prompt delivery of a superb product. I ordered the Sony Bravia 5-Disc Home Theater System. The original dvd player did not work properly. I called the customer service and I received a replacement with no hassel. Will definitely place more orders with you.

Had great price on refurb Onkyo 606. Had initial problem with verifying payment. Called but received voicemail. Per instructions on VM, they recommend e-mailing for quicker response. Did as suggested, and received a phone call that evening to process payment info. Received in good condition in only four business days from across the country.
Would recommend to others who are looking to buy refurb units to save money!

I received the item BEFORE it was even supposed to arrive. It was in perfect working condition but I found it to be slightly less than satisfactory cosmetic condition, so I called Tech For Less expecting an exhausting runaround and little return for my efforts. What I got instead was a return call ten minutes after my initial email, with a genuinely concerned customer service representative who immediately offered to oblige any of the requests I had set forth in my message, including replacement or refund! I was amazed and gratified at such incredible customer service, and I feel very safe shopping even for refurbished or used products from a site that cares so much about it's customer's satisfaction.
