SAME DAY MUSIC ARE CROOKS!
Ordered a KORG AC adaptor from these clowns... paid $15 + $4 for shipping. Instead they sent me a cheapo, generic AC adaptor worth only $7. When I tried to get a refund they maintained that the item they sent was the item I ordered, even though my invoice clearly says: KORG A30950 KA 183 AC adaptor. STAY AWAY from these jerks! They don't run an honest business. I wouldnt be surprised if many of the "positive" reviews listed here were from people working in the company.

Look out for damaged goods--you never know if the damaged guitars I refused might be shipped out to you! I bought a "new" natural finish Alvarez AC60SC acoustic guitar from SDM because they had the lowest price at $440. New guitars should have only been in the guitar store, so why were there sticky fingerprings all over the headstock and fretboard of the first guitar I recieved from SDM? What's more, it was damaged with a two inch long row of chips on the small strip of black lacquer along the edge of the guitar face, AND a gouge with visibly bare wood on the point of the headstock (like it was raked across a textured wall!) The sticky fingerprints had me wondering who had returned it before I bought it?! When I complained, they exchanged it readily and rapidly, but packaged the second for shipping with much less care than the first. Thus although the second one didn't have proof of someone's sticky fingers on it, it also arrived damaged! Again with some lacquer chips, as well as large gouges on the inner aspect of both slots in the headstock. Further, the shady packaging resulted in breaking off of a piece of wood from the fretboard, as well as another broken off wood peg whose identity I never determined, both of which were rattling inside the guitar body! I contacted Alvarez service in STL who said their new guitars should have no blemishes. I asked SDM via email, "Can your company deliver an unflawed, undamaged, perfect-condition new Alvarez AC60SC guitar to my door in St. Louis, Missouri?" The next day, a reply email stated,
"Here's what I can't guarantee: Black finish guitars are beyond unforgiving. Lacquer is, by nature, a very soft material. Regardless of how well it is packed, the very velour in the guitar's case can create minor scratches in the soft lacquer during shipping; because the finish is black, these minor scratches (if you can call them that) are very visible. So, while we can do everything in our power to prevent actual ship damage as you have experienced, and make sure you get a "pick of the litter" from Alvarez, I want to set up realistic expectations regarding the finish on a black guitar that is shipped across the country." This was a tough pill to swallow from a mail order-only music company...who wants to buy a "new" guitar that has flaws all over it?
This response was different than the apparent promise on their "Product Condition" page in the "Guarantees and Benefits" section of their website. They say if you'll only be satisfied with a 100% cosmetically perfect guitar, you should buy new instead of B stock. Yet this response gave me an explanation of why I could not expect a 100% cosmetically perfect guitar in this instance. Not to mention that this response did not even address the larger issue of damage not attributable to shipping on both of the guitars that I was shipped. When I requested that they compensate this inconvenience by paying the difference between their advertised price and that of the local store where I planned to buy my AC60SC, I was finally offered an exchange with the assurrance that they would "...have a unit hand-inspected, and packaging reinforced to prevent ship damage."
Based on my experience with SDM (observing how the guitars were packaged, and the fact that both of them arrived with shipping damage AND damage not explicable to me by shipping trauma,) combined with their email response, I interpret this data to indicate that, although they ship guitars for a living, their routine quality control processes does not prevent customers from getting imperfect items (damaged before shipping,) and their shipping practices do not routinely protect fragile instruments from further damage en route to you!
More suspicious is that they have subsequently added "Factory Sealed" to their AC60SC listings, and raised their price...the "Factory Sealed" now costs $430, and the "New" now costs $520! If you're trying to get this guitar for the lowest price, use a google search to find the authorized Alvarez dealer who is still selling it new for $439! I wonder whether the "Factory Sealed" ones are the two damaged ones that they sent me!
To me, part of buying a new guitar (instead of used one) is knowing that it will be perfect, and if it winds up scratched, it was because of my own carelessness (rather than that of the person selling it to me!) Their website says "No Hassle," but that is clearly a lie because Same Day Music has been nothing but a hassle and a headache for me since I placed this order! Look out, or they might try to push of damaged goods to you instead of new, too! My advise is that if you want a guitar without flaws, DO NOT BUY THEM FROM THESE GUYS! This is by far the worst business I have ever had the dissatisfaction of dealing with, their incompetence is quite staggering.
Let me start off by saying that I placed the order for a Parker Fly Mojo "Blemished" model on 7/15 and I paid $58 extra for next day. The first hang up was them not accepting the shipping address. I always ship everything to my work address, otherwise I miss UPS and they have to redeliver since they never leave a package; not that I would want them to leave a $2000 guitar laying on my porch.
I straightened the shipping issue out and just had them ship it to the address on the card. They assured me it would still be delivered on the 16th. So I took today off to wait for it but somebody dropped the ball and it ended up shipping via UPS Ground. I have never had this happen in all of my dealings with online retailers.
After speaking with them they blamed it on UPS and are only refunding the shipping cost. The only other option they offered was to send the guitar back and get a refund.
All in all I am thoroughly disappointed with their service and will never deal with them again.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. They placed a hold on my account for an item that was backordered and I did not authorize the transaction for the backordered item, I authorized it to purchase the item. it has taken me 3 days to get my money back in to my account and it shouldn't have been taken out in the first place

I ordered an Alesis IO 14 audio interface from Same Day Music. Between the time I made the order and the time it didn't (I repeat didn't) arrive, they pulled this product off their shelves. What did arrive was a reverb pedal. The reverb pedal cost about the same as the alesis. I think they were actually hoping I would just keep it. Judging from other reviews, this appears to be common practice with this company. I don't even play the guitar!
I had to go through the slow and annoying process of calling the customer service reps, waiting for them to send the new ups sticker, and I now need to send the reverb pedal back to them.
During that time, they refuse to refund my money, even though the invoice they sent with the reverb pedal (which they have on record) is clearly not the order I made (which they also have on record). What a pain.
These guys either do not have their act together or they are complete weasels. This review was modified by its author, pfeifits, on

I am so upset.
Gave this store 2 chances and they failed.
First time I ordered a Behringer DEQ2496 and I received a very old version of it with the software so far from be right that was almost funny. I call them to let them know what happen and the answer was " Sir , you can upgrade the software yourself!" after I paid full price for it and not "B stock" price!!!???!!!
Second chance: I ordered a Behringer DSP2024P and after a week waiting for them to ship the item the order got canceled. The reason I was told is that I did not give them the right CVV number of my credit card, but strange enough they were able to charge me right away. They had my money for a week and never shipped the item and at the end they cancelled the order saying that the DSP2024P was not longer available. I went to their web site and the item page says " IN STOCK ". You tell me..........

Avoid these clowns.
They do a credit/debit card approval before checking stock.
So if it turns out they don't have it in stock, you won't be buying it anywhere else as they have a hard hold on your money for 4 days.
Very unprofessional.
After I complained, they tried to blame my bank, then promissed to fax a cancellation of approval to my bank to drop the hold. 3 days later and still no fax.
It is pointless talking to customer service if they don't keep their promises.

I made my order with SameDayMusic.com via their internet site on a wednesday night (knowing it would not ship until thursday, but assuming it would ship on thursday because the item I requested was marked as having "guaranteed same day shipping"). I paid for overnight shipping (by Federal Express) because I wanted to receive it by Friday.
On Friday I was at home waiting for the package to arrive and it was getting a bit late, so I decided to check the order tracking feature on their web page. Their tracking page said it had shipped on thursday (as expected), and gave a FedEx tracking number. When I went to fedex to check the status of the package, I found out that the tracking number that SameDayMusic.com gave me was invalid.
So I called SameDayMusic.com and was immediately assured that the package shipped on time, and was given another tracking number, which was also invalid. The customer service rep said "the FedEx guy probably forgot to scan the packaage" and said I'd get the package on Friday, but it might not be delivered until 7pm.
The package was not delivered on Friday. On Saturday I called their customer service department and was given another tracking number, which was also invalid. After a long delay waiting for the guy to talk to his supervisor, he told me that "FedEx lost the package." I then cancelled the order.
This idea that they always ship on time, and that you'll get $50 if they do not, is a bit of a scam, in my opinion. I believe that they always claim they ship packages on time and provide a bogus tracking number. Then when the package doesn't arrive they can claim it is the shipper's fault.
I will not be ordering from them again. I have ordered many, many items off the internet and have never been treated like this...my advice is to avoid them at all costs.
UPDATE: they refunded my money within a couple of days of my last complaint after offering to ship a replacement (which I declined). They still claim that the box was lost by Federal Express, though they never did provide a valid tracking number, so I have no way of verifying it. They were friendly and seemed genuinely concerned about the order, so I'm not sure what to think. But the whole process was rather troublesome, so I doubt I'll be buying anything else from them anytime soon. This review was modified by its author, Scrith, on

BUYER BEWARE!!!
I ordered on a wed. night, was alledgedly shipped out that thursday next day fedex.
Friday, it was never recieved. Talked to many reps and each confirmed that It was shipped and wait till monday, there was nothing I could do.
Fedex would not own up to it not showing up at my doorstep and Mike, a nice guy at same day music said he would ship it out again.
Which he again, alledgedly shipped it out fedex overnight.
Tuesday, it never showed up, so now nearly 500 of my dollars is tied up in Samedaymusic.com, and I am still waiting for my refund.
The reps were really nice, but, over all a VERY bad experience.
I would not order from them unless they were last choice.
That is my opinion.
I hope this never happens to any of you.

The initial order was shipped promptly. I decided to return an item to exchange for another item and that's where the trouble began. The item was shipped back via Priority Mail and since it's just in the next state (from NY to NJ) it should have gotten there within two or three days at the most. A full week after shipping the return was acknowledged. I then received an email stating that due to a scratch on the unit a 20% restocking fee was imposed. Amazing, since I double-boxed the item to be sure it would arrive safe and it was in perfect condition when I shipped. Here it is several days later and the exchange item still hasn't been shipped. So, although they have great initial shipping, if you think you might return the item I would think twice about ordering from this company and go with a company like www.music123.com

I received 2 of the items I orderded... one is still on back order... I guess... although the advertisement said it was new in stock... I haven't got it yet. I paid 10.00 to have a 5.00 item sent to me in 2 days.... however, I ordered it on March 27th, thinking it would be there March 29th... it came March 31st.
