Summary: in-stock items received fine, but overall experience was pathetic.  
 
Micro Center appears to be a decent enough company to deal with, so long as there are no problems with your order. I ordered some networking gear (an 8-port switch plus some cabling) from them, and had very mixed results.  
 
The switch was in stock and arrived very quickly. This side of the order was good. However, the cables were not in stock, and that's where the trouble started.  
 
Instead of contacting me to offer me the chance to change my order to include in-stock items, I got an email from "Micro Center Online <mcorder@microcenter.com>" stating that because the cables were not in stock, that part of my order was cancelled. In my case, I would have liked the opportunity to substitiute some in-stock items (they have pages of calbes, after all), but I was never given the chance.  
 
Worse, because that part of the order was cancelled, if I had wished to deal with them to get alternative cables, I would have had to pay the initial $5.95 shipping/handling fee again. That's not acceptable.  
 
Even worse than that, the items that they cancelled due to being out of stock were shown as being in stock on their website at that time.  
 
The worst, however, was yet to come. I replied to the email from customer service stating that part of my order was cancelled (I replied to the stated reply-to address sales@microelectronics.com), and it *bounced*:

I find this utterly pathetic. They send customer service-related emails with an invalid reply-to email address. This appears to be confirmed by the fact that their contact page on their website lists only a phone number for most inquiries.  
 
Needless to say, I won't be ordering from Micro Center again. I got a great price on the switch I ordered, but the overall experience could have been handled much better. After all, I only bought some networking gear - it's not as if I'd be interested in getting cables along with the switch to hook everything up, right? Customer service in this case has been non-existent.

They advertised thing they don't have.  
They let my order sit there for two  
weeks without letting me know the status.  
Called their customer service twice, got no  
useful info.  
 
I tried to order a dig camera for which they  
advertised for 20% off.

A company needing to wake up (or more likely - go under). They have decent prices (although googlegear and Newegg blow then away). They have a phone line you can reach someone on easily. There website is fairly decent. The bottom line: avoid unless you really find a good deal or like to waste time with cheerful customer service reps that will gladly quote idiotic customer service policies that doom these turkeys to extinction within the next year unless they wakeup. On a recent order a $3 "bargain bin" special was shipped to me as part of a larger order. It was a "new" CD case. The case did not have any CD sleeves as shown in the pix or description on the website. On calling their customer service I was cheerfully told that "bargain bin" items may be missing non-essential items. When I pointed out the no sleeves with a CD case was pretty much worthless I was rebuffed by company policy from a service person who clearly felt a brain was an a "non-essential" item. To make a long story short - multiple phone calls to get free return shipping RMA (as they insisted that they could not "cross-ship" on a $3 part finally resulted in exactly what I expected. They ran out of the "special" and my RMA is now just a refund. Sad but true these folks are incomptently staffing and working hard to go out of business up against stiff competition that would laugh at this complete disregard for customer service or doing the right thing. All over $3! AVOID!

I order 2 pack of DVD+RW and the shipping show as 1-2 business day. Got another email says back order. Cal on May 06 and the item still back order until May 14th. HOWEVER, on their website, it still accept order and show 3-7 days shipping (as of April 28th to today May 7th).

usually very fast shipping. friendly tech support & customer service. prompt refunds. good shipping costs (BUT $1 per item minimum - ask for a case price for small items) Good specials (but they pull items - get 'em quick!) Dozens of orders & no worries. Good products (esp over $2)

Ordered a pair of leather mousepads for gifts for friends of mine. They were 33% cheaper than retail stores in my area even with the shipping. They shipped them quickly from two different locations with only the one low shipping charge.  
 
They were well packed and exactly as ordered. I'll definitely do business with the again.

The only problem I had with them is that I didn't see a "comments" section in thier order form. I would have left a comment as to why my billing and shipping address differed, but I called them and told them the reason, etc. Other than that, VERY fast, friendly service. Very good!

Best tech on-line experience so far. Ordered a dvd drive 12/4 two day shipping. Received 12/5. Price great and shipping was the least expensive I have experienced. Have shopped their retail store (cement and mortor)also, great inventory, service and prices.
