Worst company EVER! I bought a package of different computer periferials in December and it went fairly smooth except for two things that never showed up and and had to be canceled/refunded. This recent purchase WAS NEVER SHIPPED. I called the company and they fed me a few lines, so I canceled the order a week later. They still have not credited me for it, over a month later. The bank will be handeling it soon, but DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. They removed their telephone lines a week ago as well.

I ordered a set of Altec-Lansing Speakers. Got an invoice immediately. Called a week later and was told they were short-handed in the warehosue but the order would go out immediately. It is now almost 3 weeks since the order was placed and it hasn't shipped yet.
I will file fraud charges against the company today.

My story is the same as everyone elses here. My order is currently in "processing" and they are experiencing "Warehouse Delays", and get this the phone number to contact them is now a message stating that you can only email them at support@techsavings.com. I suggest that we all get together and flood their email server with requests and large attachments! If anyone can turn them into an open relay or get their domain BlackListed it would be appreciated.
I guess this is my lesson in online shopping.
I have filed a complaint with the BBB and my Credit Card Company is going to dispute the charge for me now. How can they get away with this?

Communication with customer service is literally non-existant. As of 5-12-03 the order remains in processing (limbo) for approximately one week.
I'm astounded as to how their poor customer service has yielded any profits for this seller.
This company is on my black list and I suggest you consider doing the same.
I will never do business with this company again as long as other internet retailers/resellers such as Newegg, Googlegear, etc... exist. Their service is hard to come by in comparison.
There's an important lesson to learn here - don't cut corners on customer service simply to gain on savings less than $20 in total.
The old adage "you get what you pay for" applies in this situation.
You've been warned.
Very Disatisfied =(

I was just like one of you guys.
I would recommend anyone who had a bad experience with Tech Savings to file a complaint at the Better Business Bureau and Internet Fraud Complaint Center (IFCC). Their web addresses are:
(1)http://www.bbb.org/
(2)http://www1.ifccfbi.gov/strategy/howtofile.asp
After having waited for a long time, I never received the product I ordered. After I canceled, it took almost a month to get my credit back. This company should not exist. After filing my complaints, I finaly did receive my credit back. This review was modified by its author, gonta, on

July 15 - Received a refund check after telling CNET they should de-list this company. CNET must have clout with these people, because they responded right away. Got my check on Saturday the 12th. Just waiting to see if it bounces! Only 79 days for a refund!
Just as a follow-up - I am STILL waiting for the refund after 68 days. I spoke to Larry Schuchman with the FL Attorney General's office on 6/30. They have my complaint on file, along with about 300o others. They are looking to put these people in jail, and he said they are now discussing the missing refunds with EMS/TechSavings/Govlot/Lowestpricetech/Etechwarehouse's lawyers.
Also, I started receiving SPAM from several porn locations immediately after my first complaint e-mail to Tech Savings. Anyone with similar results?
I ordered an Antec Case on-line on April 23, 2003. I received the invoice 5 minutes after entering the order. No shipping confirmation for 2 days on an in-stock item, so I called. I was told "We are in a dispute with our shipper, UPS. We don't know when it will ship" I cancelled, and have been waiting for a refund ever since. When I cancelled I was told 3-5 days to process. Then When I called 5 days later I was told there was such a volume of cancellations because of their UPS dispute that they were limited in the amount of refunds they could do in a day. Then, 3 days later they got rude and arrogant and said they weren't legally required to give me my money for 30 days. I called the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services at 1-800-HELPFLA (1-800-435-7352) after searching them out on the net. They were very helpful and sent me a dispute form to fill out. They said tech Savings is currently under investigation. The Tech Savings people act like they are legally bulletproof. They are not. Call the FLA consumer line and fill out the form. You will get you money back, and these arrogant bastards are likely to go to jail. This review was modified by its author, mongo3, on

The worst company I've ever dealt with. No mouse after a month and a half of waiting. Their response after the first email was "our warehouses are experiencing temporary shipping delays". Please do NOT buy anything from them as you'll just be asking for a refund later.

I ordered the Microtek 4800 scanner on the TechSavings.com web site (after searching on pricewatch.com) on 4/22. The item was listed as being in stock. It's been nearly three weeks now and the scanner still has not shipped. I tried calling the phone number and all I got was a message saying that I had to use email to communicate with them (uh-oh). I sent emails and never got a response. I just today disputed the charge with my credit card company. I informed TechSavings.com of the disputed charge in yet another email and still no reply. I'll never order from this company again. I'll also never order from a company on pricewatch.com until after I've checked them out on resellerratings.com first.

TWO WEEKS AGO... I bought a monitor from them. Checked the stock just beforehand, 9200 something of them. Now it HASN'T BEEN SHIPPED YET, and the website says they are OUT OF STOCK ON THE ITEM. Worst site ever... if there wasn't a cancellation fee I'd have done it 3 times over by now...
***UPDATE***
Received two e-mails from them... much like the ones posted on this page, however I sent a few back yesterday and today bitching them out. I would like all of you to see that I ordered this:
NEC/MITSUBISHI FE991SB-BK 19IN CRT 18VIS.25-.27MM FE991-SB-BK
Total before tax and shipping $209.00
Tax $0.00
Shipping ( UPS Ground ) $39.52
Order Total $248.52
Go to their website.... DARE YOU! Gee, seems they don't CARRY THE MONITOR ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This review was modified by its author, JohnBUYER, on

Well, to start.... I did a search on pricewatch.com for a pair of Logitech Z-640 speakers. Lo and behold, Techsavings.com topped the list with the total price of 58.95. I had seen the same speakers in 2 other stores that day, one selling for 79.99 and the other for 89.99. I got excited and placed an order to obtain these speakers from techsavings.com for at least $20 cheaper. My mind told me after I placed the order, that I should have checked thier rating on resellerratings.com, but I shrugged it off.... until 3 days later, my order status was still at processing, and my credit card already charged. Come Monday morning, I called Techsavings.com and spoke to a sales rep. I asked what the hold up was, and of course, I got the whole story of how busy they had gotten, and that I could be put on high priority, etc, etc, etc. I then told him that I knew the companys rating on resellerratings.com, and how this was the same song and dance they have pulled with a bunch of people, and I was not falling for it. I then asked him to give me some kind of idea on a shipping date, to which he could not offer, so I told him to charge back my card, cancel my order, and I would not do business with them again. Then I went to newegg.com (as soon as I got off the phone with techsavings.com)and ordered the z-640 speakers from them. Lets just say, the same day, I had a tracking number (regular delivery). So basically... techsavings.com.... you suck.

I placed an order with Lowestpricetech.com, which is the same corporate entity as EMS Comuter and Techsavings.com. After failing to be able to contact them either by phone or e-mail and finding many negative comments on their service, I cancelled the order by e-mail and FAX with copies to the Florida AG. I got an acknowledgement of the order cancellation but they still hit my credit card....twice, once for the product cost and again for the product plus shipping. This is consistent with behaviors reported earlier so DO NOT DEAL WITH ANY OF THESE GAINSVILLE, FLA BUSINESSES.

Why didn't i read the reviews first. If you're smarter than I am then turn and run. These people are all about getting your money and could care less about your satisfaction. First they sent me the wrong thing, then quickly took "more" of my money to get the correct item sent and as of April 28th after an approved return authorization (where I paid the shipping) and at least 6 calls and 6 promises to refund the amount of the wrong delivery they still haven't credited my account. Last time (the 5th time) they said "Oh, we're sorry, the message didn't make it to our accounting department", I said "which time"? They said "We'll post the refund as soon as we get off the phone and you'll have it on your next billing". Guess what, they have no intention of refunding my money. So if you want to waste hours of your valuable time, become irate and have them steal from you then by all means punch in your order. By the way, I've been on hold the entire time I've been typing this message. How they are in business I'll never know? Idiots like me I guess?
