I purchased two (that's 2!!!) 60GB ATA133 Maxtor hard drives and they only shipped me one. Over the period of 4 business days, I've left them 2 emails, 2 v/m, I've talked to somebody at the company once, and I've filled out their online RMA form as I was told to do by the employee (I still don't understand this). I still have yet to hear a single thing back from the company about them shipping me the other drive. They are providing horrible customer service and are completely unresponsive. As of today, I've actually gone to my credit card company and disputed the charge as the company has been no help. They put me in a bad position as this is the last item I'm waiting for to finish my system. I don't think that I have ever been more disappointed with an online retailer. Stay away from this retailer like plague.

A rocky start. Seller shipped the wrong item. After informing them of the problem, they "bent over backwards" to correct the problem. The correct item was shipped overnight. Arrangements were made to pick up the wrong item. This place went to extremes to satisify a customer with a relatively low buck "< $100.00" order. Very impressive customer servier.

Ordered on Sat. Website shows in stock. Tuesday AM orders shows still pending. Called cust. service (press "1" for orders and they answer right away) and was told part just came in and would be shipped. Wed afternoon part still pending. Call again and then told parts not in until Friday and would get free one-day shipping upgrade. Parts finally shipped Wednesday evening with two day shipping. Parts arrived in perfect condition.

Very disappointed in the service provided, stay away from this company. Motherboard had problem when it arrived. Took me a week to get a RMA # (only got one after I call and left a message expressing my displeasure). Board returned within the 15 day limited, but still never heard nothing from this company. Finally called them on 31 March and asked for a refund, told them I was no longer interested in their "express" replacement option (2 weeks and still no replacement). Got an email today saying I was being charged 15% restock fee on a broken board. You've got to be kidding me. Just happy to get back what I can and tell my friends and anyone else that would listen to stay away from this company. Didn't even mention the numerous voicemails I left or the fact that the voicemail box was full on some day (that should have been my clue).

Just placed my second order with buyMstar, and have only good things to say. Great web site, easily navigated, good info, and the biggest reason: excellent prices. I haven't had any problems at all, so have not had any reason to attempt contact with customer service, so I can't comment on that as others have. My deliveries have all been prompt, well packed, and I get e-mails notifying me of each step along the way with tracking numbers. I couldn't be happier with buyMstar.

Well as someone stated earlier the prices and layout are great. However, again they are unreachable by phone or e-mail. I ordered a new motherboard I have been looking after for months, the day came and my package finally arrived and then I discovered that the wrong part had been sent. I ordered a a7n8x and received a a7v8x. Contacts by e-mail and phone have failed and I for one have given up on ever doing business with this company again. All I want is the right part for my computer, all I get is a full mailbox and dead e-mail. Newegg and iteweb.com manage to have a phone rep when I call.... did I mention they want to charge me 15% restocking fee for their error? That's if I ever get a e-mail back about my refund request

According to the e-mail leading me to this site this is encouraged to be positive. I guess constructive critisism is considered positive so awaaaay we go!  
MStar's web site design is clear and easy to navigate so finding what I wanted was a breeze. The prices were all there and picture pop ups were available on select items. Then came the order.  
The ordering process went smoothly, easy to do. Within 24 hours I see an update saying "problem with order, please call." Since it was a Saturday, I started calling on Monday one hour after opening time. There was a recording stating business hours and the usual departmental prompts. I made the selection and waited while it rang. After 12 rings, I got another recording saying that the voice mail was full and couldn't accept any more messages. I send an e-mail (no response 4 days later) and called for the next FIVE hours before finally getting through while waiting in line at the grocery store. Seems my billing and my ship to address were different. Strange. Crucial and Newegg had no problems.  
I called my bank and verified my address. Yup. It's correct AND the transaction has already cleared. I called Mstar back and thay start to give me the "address line" speil again until I cut them off and mention the transaction has already cleared. Dead silence, a few umm's and err's and they promise to look into it. He does call me back within an hour which was nice. Unfortunately, it's to tell me he cancelled my transaction because their system says I tried to cancel it once. Huh????!! So now I have to go online and reorder at a few dollars more which they say they will credit me. Fine, just send me my frickin merchandise!  
Later in the day it says it shipped. I checked with my credit card company and they do not provide the information to vendors. Vendors use a verification company.  
Conclusion? The prices are great and the web layout is easy to navigate. They should choose a better Verification Company, upgrade the phone systems, and maybe hire a few more service reps because your customer service is sorely lacking. Great potential if the effort is made.

I ordered an Intel Pentium4 Processor from buymstar.com which didn't even ship until a week after my order was placed. The processor still hasn't arrived and I even have concerns about it being the right one or not. They had 2 Intel Pentium 4 processors listed with exactly the same specs all except for the speed of the frontside bus. They both cost the same only one said 400mhZ FSB and the other was 533mhZ (the one I ordered). I will never purchase components through this company again, and I suggest to everyone who's looking for reliable service and affordable prices visit www.newegg.com  
 
*EDIT* The components still haven't been recieved and they overshot their delivery time by 2 days. The customer service is awful and it's impossible to get through to someone via phone/e-mail. I'd suggest newegg.com and bzboyz.com

I ordered a processor on Friday. Checked my order status on Tuesday of the next week, thinking that if it didnt ship on Friday, it would have definetely shipped out on Monday. They hadnt even shipped it Tuesday! I called customer service and they said that they just got the product in - why did the website not say they were out of stock. I ended up having to pay extra for express shipping, since I needed this product for Friday. And they charged my CC on Friday.  
 
I will never do business with this company again, very poor business practices and a deceptive website.
