I bought a Movado watch for $165 on 11/28. Then on 12/3, it went on sale for $147. They refused to refund me the difference. So I had to return it.
So watch out for this site and make sure you wait till you are sure that you get the best price before pulling the trigger. Or better yet, stay away.

We have ordered 3 times from this company within the last 2 months. All three have been bedding items. Each time, the item arrived sooner than expected and the order was complete and in good condition. Basically exactly what we expected. We never had to deal with customer service directly.

I was a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews here but an electric blanket for 13.02 shipped convinced me it was worth the gamble. Really nice item and offered w/ just .05 cents for shipping.
Other than the somewhat slow shipping (total of 10 days) and the slightly inflated original retail value I don't have any qualms about ordering from these guys again in the future. This review was modified by its author, joekker666, on

With some trepedation, I ordered the Kodak EasyShare CX7530 5.0 MP Digital Camera. I first ordered early in the morning and about 3 hours later realized I had mistakenly ordered the CX7525. So I called and the CSR was very helpful and canceled my order. I then re-ordered the correct camera. No problems. One thing to remember is that any $5 or $10 coupons offered during a sale will get you signed up for a reservation rewards program. This is done by numerous sites like Office Depot, Disney Direct, etc.
Seems like Smart Bargains may be trying to increase their ratings.Maybe become more like N ewegg than Ecost. They do offer decent prices.

AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!!
I received an email from this co. stating that for a limited time an additional 15% can be deducted from my order. I proceeded to order $106.90 worth of goods while the 15% off was clearly stated on top of order, AND WITHIN THE ALLOTED TIME FRAME. After the order was processed, THERE WAS NO 15% DEDUCTED!!!! I immediately called this co. at 6AM but it did not open till 9AM. At 9AM, I called again and was told the discount didn't go through because I used my MSN browser!!! I then asked to cancel the order but was refused because cancellations must occur within one hour of placing order!!! So how could I if their store is closed???? TO ME THIS IS FLAT OUT FLAGRANT FRAUD!!! I WILL BE REPORTING THIS TO THE BBB, CA(Consumer Affairs), and the FTC. I cannot believe a company of this magnitude is allowed to get away with this type of deceitful LARCENY!!!!!

Purchased product was incomplete; their solution is for me to pay to ship it back, and they say they'll eventually refund the purchase price. So I am out the cost of shipping defective merchandise to me and then back to them.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE: Placed order using online 10% discount which showed on invoice at checkout. Opened separate browser window to look for free shipping discount, but didn't find one that applied to oversized shipments, so returned to original window and finalized checkout. Only then, did it show that the 10% discount had been removed. Immediately called customer service and they said that looking for shipping discount had replaced the 10% discount, even though it was not usable for oversized orders. Said they'd cancel order, but then said they couldn't because it had been 10 minutes since order was placed... even though I'd called them 1 - 2 minutes after placing order. Said only option was to accept without discount, or return with ME paying original shipping. I even spoke to supervisor and they were adamant about not making amends. Absolutely rotten experience. I'll never shop with this merchant again.

i would not recomend this company if you expect good customer service. i placed an order and paid addtional to have it delivered by christmas and it still has not arrived. (today is 12/27/04). i'm on the phone, on hold, with them right now and i have not been helped. i have been on hold for the past 2 hours. i will never purchase from this website again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a "FREE UPGRADE" to 3rd Day delivery prior to Christmas. When I chose the shipping option that had the price stated in their shipping offer - they shipped via ground through some shipping consolidator - (Not even UPS Ground)- and it took 11 days for it to get from Northen Kentucky to Colorado (a 3-4 day trip for UPS Ground).
When I e-mailed customer service and told them my wife was going without one of her major Christmas presents, they basically said "tough". This was apparently NOT a free shipping UPGRADE but an accounting REBATE of 1/2 of your shipping charges when you chose 3 day. I am an attorney and buy things weekly on the internet (for over 5 years) and have never run into someone NOT WILLING TO DO ANYTHING (even give me a measly $6 credit for the shipping on a $360 order) as this site.
Do NOT take them for their word. This is the first, and most probably the LAST time I order from them. I ordered from them because they offered a free shipping upgrade to 3 day. I could have paid $60 less on another site, without a Christmas Delivery guarantee. Now I wish I would have done this. This review was modified by its author, eclipse1964, on

Buyer Beware. I ordered an expensive LCD tv during a 20% off coupon promotion. Website clearly indicated 19 in stock. Received confirmation email, no problem. Several days later, the product had still not shipped. When checking status waiting for shipment, suddenly the order showed "Cancelled"!! No reason was given, and I only received a form email days later. Dealing with CS was useless, they only claimed there was no stock. I actually think they declined to ship because the discount was too great for this item. Stay away.

Ordered an LCD TV for Christmas and confirmed with CS that they had stock at the time of purchase. I was told they had 21 in stock. Two days later, smartbargains.com cancelled my order without reason or warning. Very disappointing. Subsequent calls to customer service were no help whatsoever, they just told me there was no stock at the time my order was processed. I think they cancelled because I used a coupon and got too good a deal. I will never order from them again, I encourage others to stay away.

Very Satisfied. Ordered late at night 11/12/04 They sent an email saying it was shipped on 11/17/04 with confirmation number. I checked their web site to see if it was shipped yet. The link sent me to UPS and for 3 days it said it was not a valid number. I then copied the confirmation number and went to the USPS web site and found my shipment. It was delivered on 11/22/04. Other than the shipping link being wrong my experience was excellent.

Bought sheets. Good quality. Shipping was fast but the shipping service they use is really slow. Took 8 days in transit from Kentucky to California. Never had to return anything so don't know about customer service with regard to returns or exchanges.

These guys absolutely provide the worst service that I have ever seen in my life. I ordered a HEPA filter two weeks ago from these guys. According to the USPS tracking, the package should have already been delivered but it hasnt. I called them to ask if they could trace the package and they refuse to since it has not been 10 days. The CSR was very rude and obnoxious and did not value me as a customer or my business. AVOID this vendor. RUN
