I found the prices at 3b tech to be on par with other sites and beating others. The close location is a bonus.

Prompt! Helpful! They even sent a replacement motherboard, even though the one I RMA'ed (at 3BTech suggestion)tested ok. Found that my CPU was defective. I am sure the original MB was fine. I recommended 3BTech to others, and they are pleased as well.

I have ordered several times from 3btech and have always got great service, free shipping and a tracking number for my order. They are very clear on refurbished, off lease, system pulls or new items. You should always know what you are getting if you read the description. And their prices are fantastic!!!

Needed to replace an old Pentium 4 socket 478 motherboard that started to act up on me (wouldnt POST sometimes) 3BTech had a good selection and I bought a ASRock P4i45PE . Got a prompt email order confirmation and another email with tracking number when it shipped later the same day. Mobo arrived protected by anti static foam, anti static bag inside a cardbox.
Good news is that they sent a P4i45PE+ which is identical except also has 2 SATA ports.
Bad news is that the mobo is either used or a refurb. The website says Condition: New. The mobo was clean and free of dust but one of the capacitors over by the PCI slots was already bulged and had brown gunk coming out the top. I was able to replace the capacitor myself.
I don't mind buying refurbs as long as you tell me they are refurbed, but claiming something is New when it is either used or a refurb is dishonest. This review was modified by its author, climb_k31, on

As always the 3btech people have done there job and delivered the product as stated and on time. They sell recertified drives for a fraction of the price you can get the brand name hard drives. The price differential used to be in the half the price of name brand but now the difference is only about two-thirds. The hard drive are factory certified and carry the MDT name, mdtglobal.com. If you are looking for HDDs that are low cost yet still preform I recommend this merchant. I have pruchased 6 drives from - 7200rpm 2MB and 8MB cache - 100GB, 120GB, 160GB, and the all have performed acordingly. They have other goods as well but that is another review. Check them out they have the lowest prices I could find on the internet per/GB of hard drive space at about $0.37/GB. Also, I have yet to return a failed-failing hard drive when this happens I will post information reflecting the ease or difficluties associated with the RMA process.

I've used 3btech 3 times in the course of 4 years. Every time I've had an outstanding experience. This last purchase in January was for a case and a motherboard combo. I ordered on Thursday and they were at my house next Wednesday. I reccomend them as much as I do Newegg.

ordered parts for a complete computer, upon assembly it was not working - ended up at the computer guy in our area, spent an afternoon (a whole afternoon, this is my time and money we are talking about) taking each part out and testing it, the processor did not work. Upon sending it back they say it does work (didnt work on 4 different computers on this end), long story short, they wont exchange, will only refund 75%, or send it back, what the heck good does this do me...do they just send out funky parts and make all their money off the 25% they end up keeping? What else am I supposed to think??? I dont have time to jack with this, didnt have time to send things back and forth. Time is was the issue, now I have an issue.

Seemed like a great deal on a white label hard drive. In fact, it was until I hooked it up and it started giving a high pitched whining sound. The drive is still working fine, but the sound is VERY annoying! I emailed customer service and they quickly responded. Although, not with the response I would have liked. They said that most drives have some sort of sound and that my sound was not uncommon. I beg to differ! I have built about 20 systems over the years and have never encountered this problem. No RMA was even offered. I will not pursue the issue, I will not purchase anything from them again! There are too many quality vendors out there (with better quality products) who want my business!

AVOID THESWE GUYS LIKE THE PLAGUE. Ordered an AMD XP 3200 400 Mhz FSB processor. Listed on the site as brand new. Once I installed the chip it failed almost immediately after startup. Got an RMA and shippe it back to them (at my own expense). Took them OVER A FULL WEEK to test a single CPU! Unbelievable! Naturally they claimed that eveything checked out and refused to give me a full refund. ad to pay an exhorbitant %25 restocking fee because they sent me a bad CPU to begin with! ike I said you have been warned do not buy from these guys.
Incidntally, these clowns also do business under an "alias" as BingoPC. That ribgh there should tell you that they have something to hide...

DO NOT PURCHASE - You've been warned. Like others have said, once you pay, they are finished with you. We purchased 3 UPS over the past few months from them. All 3 have now failed. It is NOT a problem with our facility, as we have other UPS units that work just fine.
Heres the deal. The last 2 UPS units that we ordered arrived in deplorable condition- obviously used and dirty. We decided to try them anyway, and they proved to be failures within two days when there was a power blip. Contacted the company - who forced us to pay to ship them back.. so they could "test" them. Guess what!?! They claim that they work fine!!! LIARS!!
They refunded 75% of the cost back... LESS S/H. So, we got royally ripped off. If you order from them after warning like this - you must be asking for the same. You've been warned.

Bad experience with 3btech. They sale craps to customers. The CD-RW works for six month and crashed. I went to their place personally and they refused to do anything. I am very disappointed with them. They do not know what is customer satisfaction. If you've paid, you are done. Buy from them only when you do not want customer service and bad products.

To save you some time, I'll get right to the point. 3btech misrepresented used/ refurbished merchandise as new. They were then rude, insulting, and unwilling to make things right. If you want to know more, read on...
I purchased three SiPix SC-3300 digital cameras from 3btech. They had a great price for what was represented as a new item. However, because 3btech's price was what other vendors were asking for refurbished units and because they were going to be gifts, I called before ordering to be sure they were, in fact, new. After giving them as gifts, I became suspicious that they may not be new. The first thing that bothered me was the fact that the serial numbers were blacked out with permanent marker. Other evidence such as scuffs, old battery wrappers, various branded replacement batteries, and improperly folded user manuals further convinced me that they were not new. I contacted customer service and they said that one other customer had complained of the same problem. So, they confirmed my suspicions about the cameras not being new, but they tried to imply that they had no idea how this happened and that these were isolated incidents. Since all three of the cameras I purchased were not new, I found that hard to believe. Had it been just one of the three, I might have been a little more receptive to that explanation - but not much. I think vendors know when they are selling misrepresented merchandise.
Since they were gifts, returning them was not an option. Their customer service was very accommodating on this point; however, when it came to agreeing on a an equitable solution, they were not quite as amicable. After a volley of emails on what would be a fair refund, they refused to offer more than $10 per camera - citing loss on sale issues. In other words, they were willing to make things right as long as it didn't cost them anything. Based on the new and refurbished prices of other vendors of this camera, I felt that $20 per camera was more fair. When I told them that I would have to let others know of their business practices through rating systems such as this, they refused to give me any refund at all, they became rude (accusing me of "spouting trash"), and they said that I could only get the $10 refund if I stated in writing that I would not give them negative reviews in the future.
To make a long story short, 3btech misrepresented used/ refurbished merchandise as new, and they were only willing to make it right if it didn't hurt their bottom line. I can only conclude from this experience that this is probably standard practice for 3btech. In my opinion, sites like this are a scourge to internet shopping. They get the customer to bite and bank on the fact that customers will usually not want to incur more time and expense involved in returning the merchandise. I have nothing against used/ refurbished merchandise as long as it is properly represented as such. At least the customer knows what they are getting. However, if you choose to engage in tactics like 3btech, you are just being deceptive! This review was modified by its author, leukram, on

Beware of their Western Digital harddrives they say are white label branded "Magnetic Data Tech". I though that just meant that they were sold to manufacturers with an OEM label and no warranty. I think they are actually refurbs. there are scratches all over the drive, and the static bag it was in looked fine. So the drive was scratched BEFORE it got bagged. I was not aware that these were refurbs when I made my purchase. From looking at the ad on pricewatch(in the "NEW" section), or their website, you wouldn't know it.
I will not order from them again. This review was modified by its author, duronboy, on
