The customer service at PC torque was great. They answered any and all questions I confronted them with very promptly (as in the same day I asked them through email). As if that's not enough, I actually called them initially to inquire about a sale and a human being actually picked up the phone rather than an automated machine. The order I placed was promptly acted upon and they had my custom Sager 5793 completed and shipped in under two days time after they received the order. For those who are better with numbers, I placed the order on 02/10/09 and received a confirmation email immediately after and a confirmation PHONE CALL TO MY HOME a few hours after the order had been processed. I just received a shipping confirmation telling me that the notebook will arrive on 02/18/09 (I opted for standard shipping). I am uber excited to get my Sager notebook and am very pleased with PC Torque's service. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a gaming PC that costs as much as it is actually worth as apposed to Dell or Alienware who charge an arm and a leg. Thanks PC Torque! BTW check out EntropiaDS.com for great digital design services. Business image consults are absolutely FREE. Let us help you make more money by updating your image.

Excellent customer service. They called and let me know when my order shipped. It was nice that shipping was free, fast and smooth. They had the lowest price I could find online. Happy and satisfied with my new Sager NP9262.

Absolutely amazing service! I bought my laptop on the 29th with an Echeck and as soon as it cleared it was shipped out. The day after I ordered it I received a conformation call from customer support, it was a real person, not a robot, on a SUNDAY roughly 14 hours after I ordered! Then on Tuesday when it shipped I received another call from the same person to inform me everything was going great. The laptop itself was amazingly cheap for what I got (would have easily been 700 bucks more anywhere else, believe me I checked). Even before I ordered I had talked to customer support about the laptop and they helped me with every question I had, they really knew about the thing which was really impressive, a lot of tech supports talk as if they've never even used a computer before! They made me feel super confident through the entire process and kept me informed the whole way. If I EVER need a laptop again, these are the guys I will DEFINITELY go back to. I can't recommend them enough.

The sales staff was very easy to deal with and they called to confirm my order and make sure i was ordering what i wanted which was very helpful.
There was a problem with the tracking number on the laptop, so it wasnt showing up, but after i contacted them about it they sorted everything out with UPS and i was able to track the package. It arrived on time and works great now, although i initially had a few issues with setting the wifi and video card up. I ended up having to resolve those problems myself because the Sager support staff is absolutely useless and at times down right rude. Not only did they have no idea what they were talking about, but they were giving me ridiculous "solutions" to my problems, all of which turned out to be completely wrong. However, this is not a reflection on pc torque, just a comment on the support staff of the brand they sell. By contrast their staff and support was extremely helpful.
As a good example, i noticed there had been a further discount on the price right after i bought my laptop, and i called them up and they gave me a 50 dollar credit back to my card and upgraded my service plan to compensate. Its good to see companies take care of their customers!
Anyways i would definitely do business with them again and would reccomend them to anyone who wants the best price on a custom laptop, and is good enough with computers to not have to rely on the Sager customer service as it is practically non-existant.

Spent a lot of time researching laptops from this company and the other "high end" laptop merchants. My inquiries found that this company would really stand by me. I ordered on 19 November and informed them I needed it by Thanksgiving. They really came through. Prices for the most part were lower than their competitors and so far, the customer service has been first rate. It is my opinion that you can't go wrong with them.

Their website is done really well.
They respond very fast to email.
I ordered a Sager 3790-C from them. It was on backorder because of how hot the item was at the time. I waited about 2-3 weeks and it showed up at my door a little earlier than expected, since they told me i shoudl expect to wait a certain time with the backorder.
Came shipped well...tightly packed.
The unit worked very well...came with all the driver cds and such. There was a lone dead pixel on the screen, which wasnt a big deal.
Price was great, considering every other place offering the same model had a similar price, i suppose.
I really cant comment on shipping time since the back-order status didnt allow me to track or what-not.
Within the first week of usage the computer developed about 10 dead pixles in a cluster. So I chose to send it into for replacement since i was elligible. Unfortunately such problems are routed onto the manufacturer, which i had a good experience with.
Overall great place to do business with.
Will do business again in the future.

Purchased a Sager 3790 with WSXGA screen. Total perfection. Packaged very well. Quick reply and with no backorders, they were very quick to ship out. Their 1 year warranty is outstanding and it includes a "no dead pixel" policy. Can order an extended warranty up to 30 days before expiration of original. See the site for warranty info. Can't go wrong ordering from them. They are quick to respond to any requests or problems. AAA+ This review was modified by its author, slaflamme, on

PC Torque's website was very easy to navigate and made ordering a laptop steamless. Although it took a month for my 3790 to arrive at my house the wait was due to the hurricane season in taiwan, where many Sager/Clevo laptops are manufactured. PC Torque promptly answered any questions that I had about the laptop and they were also able to change my order on short notice since I changed my mind and opted for the 60gb 5400rpm HD instead of the standard 40gb 4200rpm. I highly recommend PC Torque when it comes to purchacing Sager notebooks because they offer the lowest prices with excellent customer service.

Excellent overall experience. Easy order process, good communication with shipping dates and tracking, friendly quick service with questions, excellent prices and a forum to discuss topics about the products and services. Enough to make me switch from Dell. Considering Dell's resources, that says quite a bit about PCTorque! This review was modified by its author, mktdude, on

It truly does not get any better than PCTorque. Every single email was answered in an extremely timely manner. I worked with Tom and developed a plan for the right Sager notebook for my gaming and work needs. After numerous emails, I placed the order and two days later it shipped. I received the notebook today and am absolutely thrilled at the product (5680). I cannot begin to recognize them any more than saying you absolutely can't go wrong with PCTorque. Prices were below the average for the parts received and the Sager name speaks for itself.
Look at many other sites listed here on ResellerRatings and you will read of lack of email replies, disconnected phone numbers, customer service that is terrible. PCTorque is none of these. Absolutely none. You simply can't go wrong and I'm as cynical as they come towards many PC purchasing sites. Just do it.

I am a chronic web shopper. It used to be I would drive all over creation to find the very best deal on an item, but with the internet, I save a ton of gas. Having said that, I find that the cheapest dealer isn't always best--in fact, often the opposite is true. Not when it comes to PCTorque. Not only did they come in the least expensive, but from the very first e-mail I sent inquiring about pricing options, I experienced nothing but personalized, thoughtful responses. I must admit that a few of the initial letters I received, I was surprised at the candor and abruptness of the responses (it was mostly with regards to competitors and their prices). But I am used to getting sterile canned corporate responses. No such thing coming from them. I placed my order after much research and received prompt replies from PCT through every turn of my order. I do wish they could have been more specific about a shipping date, as I am a professional expediter and I like to have some idea of a receipt date; but they were unable to provide any such specific information, using vague phrases like "well, that model's components are usually in stock so it should ship soon." They also sent a false alarm notice saying the order shipped when it actually had not, but they quickly retracted the notice, actually before I even opened it, so I was ok with the mistake.
When they really shined was when there was a price discrepancy between what I had ordered and what had been invoiced. Once I complained about it, I was referred immediately to the owner, who resolved the issue within a few letters to my EXTREME SATISFACTION.
This company lives by the policy that the customer is always right above all other policies. I can tell they cherish their customer base and realize that they are not there to sell one computer to me, but want to be there to take care of me when I have problems, or need another computer way down the road. They have a very well run user/potential buyer forum which was very instrumental in educating me before and after my purchase. If a conflict or problem arises with a manufacturer, they jump right in to be the consumer advocate and cut through red tape. The product itself is an excellent piece of equipment that was received in good order and works great! These experiences are what builds successful companies in the 21st century. Caring. That's what PCTorque does best!

These guys are a good middleman for Sager Computers. I think the whole process would have been a bigger pain if I had to deal directly with Sager. But, here is what happened to me, you can draw your own conclusions. I received a very nice Sager 5680 on time and well packed. I tried to load Windows 2000 and had a couple of driver issues. I called PC Torque and Tom said "Call Sager" so I tried to and got a recording "You leave message, we call you right back" They didn't. I finally figured out the problem myself. I took the 5680 on a trip and decided it was just too big so I called PC Torque for an RMA. Tom said "Call Sager" So I did, and got the "Leave message..." answering machine again. Sager didn't return my call. So next day I call PC Torque and Tom said "I'll call them and get your RMA" which he promptly and couteously did. My complaint is that PC Torque can't help much besides with the order and Sager is not good at returning calls or email requests for info or RMA. Obviously Sager is "at home" because Tom called them on his super secret phone number and they gave him my RMA, which Tom emailed right to me. If I decided to buy another Sager, I'd use PC Torque as my middleman. As for the Sager 5680, the machine is really a luggable (desktop replacement) but the graphics and I/O subsystem are fantastic.

Fast customer service... got email respond within 24 hours...
However, their policy is kinna sucks. If you order something and the price drop (even before you receive your product), they won't return you the different. Plus, you have to pay standard shipping... If you buy laptop from well known companies like IBM or HP, you'll get free standard shipping for your order. If you live in CA and choose the standard shipping, it'll take at least two weeks for the laptop to arrive. Other than that, a lot of people say their sager systems are pretty good.

If there is a price change before the order has shipped, the customer gets the new price if it's lower. If the order has already shipped from Sager, they do not get the price change. I'm not aware of any Clevo based reseller giving money back for price changes after the customer's order was sent. If they do please contact us to let us know. We are charged full price for the system when it ships from Sager and do not get refunded for price drops either.
As for shipping prices, they are based off UPS and USPS pricing. |
