Nothing but good things to say about PCTorque. I ordered the Sager Np8690 with the HD display, 6 gigs of RAM, ATI 5870 graphics card, and 7200rpm 500gb hard drive (which was swapped out for a WD 320 gb scorpio black -- the 500gb drive is being used as external storage).
I placed my order on March 8th 2010 and received the laptop on March 16th. Take into account that it took about 4 days for my Paypal e-check to clear and that was a mere 4 days to process, build and ship. Very fast service with notifications all the way. PCTorque notified me upon receiving the order, when the e-check cleared, and when the laptop shipped. They seem to be very good with letting the customer know which stage their order is at.
As soon as I opened up my laptop, I booted into the bios just to make sure all the hardware I had ordered was there. It was. Installed my copy of Windows 7 and everything works perfectly. The driver discs included had everything I needed to get up and running, the only thing I had to download myself was the driver for the Wifi adapter, but no big deal. You can also find all hardware drivers on the Sager website.
Can't say I have any complaints at all. The whole process was painless, fast and left me very satisfied. I recommend PCTorque for anybody interested in buying a Sager laptop.

I've just spent the last 2 weeks thrashing my new np9280 to within an inch of it's life and right now you couldn't slap the grin off my face but this review isn't about the machine, It's about the good people down at PC Torque. I've purchesed Sager products in the past from other venders and always got the impression, that they were doing me a favore
I don't take a purchase like this lightly, so I expect more than just a conformation E-mail. The people at PC Torque kept me up to date on order status, build and shipping through E-mail and phone calls with an expressed emphasis on
" If anything is wrong let us know and we'll make it right". Anybody that shows that much confidents in their product and service defiantly has me sold. It's been an excellent experience for me and look forward to doing business with PC Torque again.

I ordered a Sager 8690 with a GeForce280M. Shortly after I ordered, I saw that the newer GeForce285M was now available for the 8690, for the same price. BUT, without me even asking, PCtorque upgraded my card from the GeForce 280M to the 285M at no extra charge. I was so pleased that they did this.
The unit shipped in a timely manner, considering my obscure location, and the sales staff were helpful and prompt. The computer works great.
I'm completely satisfied, and I would definitely order from them gain.

Customer service was excellent. I participate on notebookforums.com and contacted PCTorque's representative on those boards. He was very kind and answered all the questions I posed to him, and I never had to wait more than a few hours to get a response, even on the weekends.
I asked many questions over several days time and never felt like I was receiving a canned response, and I actually felt like I was talking to someone that actually knew something about the system I was asking about.
I placed a pre-order for the Sager 8120, and then a few days later they had little bit of a product refresh (started offering different options on some of their systems) and I decided that I would prefer the 8760 instead with the Radeon 5870. I called them up and made sure the system I had ordered hadn't shipped, and since it hadn't, changed up my order; the whole process took less than 30 minutes. And when I called them to do this, the phone actually rang to a person.
My new system shipped 2 business days after ordering and I haven't received it yet (set to arrive in 2 more days), will update this review when it arrives.
But in terms of customer service, and sales, PCTorque is the best computer seller that I've dealt with (have previously dealt with Dell, HP, Apple, and Best Buy). Not to mention that they're the only Sager reseller to offer an Accidental Damage Plan. This is what really sold me on PCTorque before I ordered as I have a very active terrier and hopefully will be having children in the fairly near future, two things that really raise the risk of bumps/falls/spills. PC Torque was very helpful in helping me find the perfect laptop for me. The ordering process was flawless and I was unwraping my laptop just 7 days after I ordered it. The Sager 9280 I got arrived in flawless condition with no dead pixels. I feel like I got a lot more computer for the money than I ever have before. Anyone looking at getting a high power laptop should look here before deciding!

I would have to say that this company has the best customer service I have ever dealt with. All of my emails were returned within ten minutes of sending my inquiries. Even when I had issues, they were very understanding and helped with no problems. I recommend buying from pctorque over any other computer/laptop company out there. Amazing laptop and outstanding service. You've made me a very happy customer!!

UPDATE 18 Feb 2101:
On the ugly below, I mentioned that I received an ancient version of PowerDVD with the system. PCT just informed me they are sending a new one out. Yay PCTorque! Will update this again upon receipt of the CD.
Purchased a Sager NP7652
The very good: Presale - excellent response to all my questions, I never had to wait long. PCTorque agreed to sell me a laptop with a clean W7 install, without the crapware you get from Dell and the others. Shipped within 48 hrs, and I received the laptop in good shape. Everything seems to be in working order so far, although I haven't burned a CD yet.
The pretty good: Laptop did, in fact, have a pretty clean W7 install, but there were still a couple extras that I needed to take out. No biggie.
The fair: Instead of a real Windows CD, I got one of those dreaded restore disks. But also not a biggie, because when I slicked the system and reinstalled Windows (I wanted to make major changes in the partitions) the restore CD pretty much acted like a MS CD.
The ugly: I ordered the laptop with a Blu Ray reader. It came with an ancient version of PowerDVD. Booo. But to be fair, I haven't griped to PCT yet, I've been busy. I'll update this review when I have the results of this.
Overall: A good experience! With the one exception of the ancient PowerDVD (which may yet get resolved), I am quite happy. I would recommend PCT to anyone looking for a laptop. This review was modified by its author, medief, on

I must have emailed over a dozen times to Customer service. They were patient and answered every question for me. I will say this. I will order my next PC from PCTorque. This was a pleasant experience and I thoroughly enjoyed the answers to my NUMEROUS questions. They helped me sort out my requirements and I ordered a Sager 7652 from them
It was a good experience.
I should Add I could have ordered from PC Connection a computer because family works there. But knowing how their CS is, so I stuck with someone who answered my questions.

Buying from PCTORQUE was a great experience. The staff was friendly and always responded promptly. The prices and choices on the website were straight forward and competitive. However, the biggest consideration in my decision to buy a SAGER from PCTORQUE hinged on the companies accidental protection coverage. Having spent over five grand on a computer, the accidental protection coverage offered by PCtorque was an absolutely essential aspect of my purchase. All in all, PCtorque did what they set out to do, they offered a high quality computer at a competitive price with options that were unrivaled by their competitors. This is my second purchase from PC Torque. Their customer support is always very responsive. I had no problems getting repairs under warranty with my last laptop, even though I could have been at fault for causing the issue. My only issue with my recent purchase has to do with attempting to make a cash payment to receive a discount. I made the mistake of using Bank of America's Online Bill Pay. The check was never delivered and delayed the process by a week and a half. So if you want to make a cash payment I suggest using the traditional wire payments or mailing in a check yourself. But now I'm looking forward to getting my kick ass laptop delivered tomorrow.
Thanks PC Torque!

Completed a transaction with PC torgue (Ben) on January 18th, 2010 with several modifications required on a Sager NP8690 Notebook computer.
I was advised later in the day that our new computer had been shipped from California and to expect delivery on 21st of January. Got the best price from (Ben) PC Torgue as well. We recieved the computer in excellent condition on day promised. You cannot have a better purchase experience then this from a company that does what it says. We will purchase from them again.---Roy

I ordered a customized Sager notebook from PC Torque.
Among four or five US distributors of Clevo-based notebooks I contacted, PCT was the friendliest. They answered quite a few questions I had, quickly and to the point - even got an answer over the weekend, and they honoured all my specific requests.
They were also the only ones who offered a significant discount for a (really hefty) UPS fee for international shipment. (For some reason, UPS charges for shipping to Central Europe about the same as shipping to the top f Himalayas.)
Besides PCT solved a small screw-up the bank made with the money transfer - quickly and without much further ado - though it had cost them a couple of bucks.
Even sent me a Vantec lock (that I originally ordered, but guys at Sager somehow forgot to pack it along with the notebook), immediately after I told them it wasn't included - without any further questions and any additional shipping costs (which probably amounted to two or three times the price of the lock itself).
I don't usually buy such pricey items over the Net and was a bit worried at first, and not at all surprised about the bank and packaging glitches - though none were PCT's fault and they did their best to smooth them out to my satisfaction.
Overall, buying the notebook from PC Torque turned out to be quite a pleasant experience and I can only recommend them. This review was modified by its author, Tevei, on

I ordered a high-end laptop from PC Torque at around 8 pm, and it shipped the day after next (which is much faster than I can say for certain commodity laptop suppliers). Their web site was easy to use, and their price was the best I could find for this model. Also, PC Torque answered a question I had in December about the model, a month before I placed the order. So - so far I'm very happy with my experience with them, and I look forward to receiving the laptop. I hope I never need service from PC Torque, but I'm confident that it would match the rest of my experience with them.
