The purchasing of the Sager 3790 went well. I had bought a 3 year warranty as well. It is soon to expire in 4 months, and my notebook has been giving me blue screen errors. I contacted PC Torque, and they told me that the company that they had doing the warranties went bankrupt, due to the large numbers of Sager notebooks coming back to them. When I asked the customer service representative at PC Torque what to do, they said that they could not do anything for me and that the warranty was void. What this means is that PC Torque takes no responsiblility for honoring the 3 year warranty, I have no recourse but to send it back to Sager directly, who will give me 10% off of my repairwork. It is a shame that a company cannot back the products that they sell, so beware of buying anything that you expect to get a warranty with from PC Torque.

Fast customer service... got email respond within 24 hours...
However, their policy is kinna sucks. If you order something and the price drop (even before you receive your product), they won't return you the different. Plus, you have to pay standard shipping... If you buy laptop from well known companies like IBM or HP, you'll get free standard shipping for your order. If you live in CA and choose the standard shipping, it'll take at least two weeks for the laptop to arrive. Other than that, a lot of people say their sager systems are pretty good.

If there is a price change before the order has shipped, the customer gets the new price if it's lower. If the order has already shipped from Sager, they do not get the price change. I'm not aware of any Clevo based reseller giving money back for price changes after the customer's order was sent. If they do please contact us to let us know. We are charged full price for the system when it ships from Sager and do not get refunded for price drops either.
As for shipping prices, they are based off UPS and USPS pricing. |

No problems at all with the order, My new 5797 seams to be a great notebook. I made a mistake with my payment using pay-pal and sent an e-mail to PcTorque, they responded fast, refunded my money and resent an invoice. Shipping was no problem, they shipped when they said they would, and e-mailed me that it was on it's way. Like one of the previous reviews, when first booted-up it had an improper shut down error, but booted up in normal mode and everything seams fine. I would defiantly recommend PcTorque to any one looking to buy a laptop. After Having this laptop for a month or so, I have to say that the sound is terible, the Turbo memmory that I paid $40 extra dollars for is useless, I have seen no speed improvement at all when using this. I was offered a free cap for writing this review, but never received it. Yes the order process went well and other than the Waste of money for the Turbo memmory and bad sound quality, I do like every thing else about this laptop. These guys are a good middleman for Sager Computers. I think the whole process would have been a bigger pain if I had to deal directly with Sager. But, here is what happened to me, you can draw your own conclusions. I received a very nice Sager 5680 on time and well packed. I tried to load Windows 2000 and had a couple of driver issues. I called PC Torque and Tom said "Call Sager" so I tried to and got a recording "You leave message, we call you right back" They didn't. I finally figured out the problem myself. I took the 5680 on a trip and decided it was just too big so I called PC Torque for an RMA. Tom said "Call Sager" So I did, and got the "Leave message..." answering machine again. Sager didn't return my call. So next day I call PC Torque and Tom said "I'll call them and get your RMA" which he promptly and couteously did. My complaint is that PC Torque can't help much besides with the order and Sager is not good at returning calls or email requests for info or RMA. Obviously Sager is "at home" because Tom called them on his super secret phone number and they gave him my RMA, which Tom emailed right to me. If I decided to buy another Sager, I'd use PC Torque as my middleman. As for the Sager 5680, the machine is really a luggable (desktop replacement) but the graphics and I/O subsystem are fantastic.

The price was awesome, and while I am not happy it took me a month for the pc to ship, I cant hold anyone responsible for that. I finally got my machine, with a few issues that were resolved myself. The machine itself is amazing. This review was modified by its author, jellybean, on

Nothing but good things to say about PCTorque. I ordered the Sager Np8690 with the HD display, 6 gigs of RAM, ATI 5870 graphics card, and 7200rpm 500gb hard drive (which was swapped out for a WD 320 gb scorpio black -- the 500gb drive is being used as external storage).
I placed my order on March 8th 2010 and received the laptop on March 16th. Take into account that it took about 4 days for my Paypal e-check to clear and that was a mere 4 days to process, build and ship. Very fast service with notifications all the way. PCTorque notified me upon receiving the order, when the e-check cleared, and when the laptop shipped. They seem to be very good with letting the customer know which stage their order is at.
As soon as I opened up my laptop, I booted into the bios just to make sure all the hardware I had ordered was there. It was. Installed my copy of Windows 7 and everything works perfectly. The driver discs included had everything I needed to get up and running, the only thing I had to download myself was the driver for the Wifi adapter, but no big deal. You can also find all hardware drivers on the Sager website.
Can't say I have any complaints at all. The whole process was painless, fast and left me very satisfied. I recommend PCTorque for anybody interested in buying a Sager laptop.

I've just spent the last 2 weeks thrashing my new np9280 to within an inch of it's life and right now you couldn't slap the grin off my face but this review isn't about the machine, It's about the good people down at PC Torque. I've purchesed Sager products in the past from other venders and always got the impression, that they were doing me a favore
I don't take a purchase like this lightly, so I expect more than just a conformation E-mail. The people at PC Torque kept me up to date on order status, build and shipping through E-mail and phone calls with an expressed emphasis on
" If anything is wrong let us know and we'll make it right". Anybody that shows that much confidents in their product and service defiantly has me sold. It's been an excellent experience for me and look forward to doing business with PC Torque again.

I ordered a Sager 8690 with a GeForce280M. Shortly after I ordered, I saw that the newer GeForce285M was now available for the 8690, for the same price. BUT, without me even asking, PCtorque upgraded my card from the GeForce 280M to the 285M at no extra charge. I was so pleased that they did this.
The unit shipped in a timely manner, considering my obscure location, and the sales staff were helpful and prompt. The computer works great.
I'm completely satisfied, and I would definitely order from them gain.

Customer service was excellent. I participate on notebookforums.com and contacted PCTorque's representative on those boards. He was very kind and answered all the questions I posed to him, and I never had to wait more than a few hours to get a response, even on the weekends.
I asked many questions over several days time and never felt like I was receiving a canned response, and I actually felt like I was talking to someone that actually knew something about the system I was asking about.
I placed a pre-order for the Sager 8120, and then a few days later they had little bit of a product refresh (started offering different options on some of their systems) and I decided that I would prefer the 8760 instead with the Radeon 5870. I called them up and made sure the system I had ordered hadn't shipped, and since it hadn't, changed up my order; the whole process took less than 30 minutes. And when I called them to do this, the phone actually rang to a person.
My new system shipped 2 business days after ordering and I haven't received it yet (set to arrive in 2 more days), will update this review when it arrives.
But in terms of customer service, and sales, PCTorque is the best computer seller that I've dealt with (have previously dealt with Dell, HP, Apple, and Best Buy). Not to mention that they're the only Sager reseller to offer an Accidental Damage Plan. This is what really sold me on PCTorque before I ordered as I have a very active terrier and hopefully will be having children in the fairly near future, two things that really raise the risk of bumps/falls/spills. PC Torque was very helpful in helping me find the perfect laptop for me. The ordering process was flawless and I was unwraping my laptop just 7 days after I ordered it. The Sager 9280 I got arrived in flawless condition with no dead pixels. I feel like I got a lot more computer for the money than I ever have before. Anyone looking at getting a high power laptop should look here before deciding!

I would have to say that this company has the best customer service I have ever dealt with. All of my emails were returned within ten minutes of sending my inquiries. Even when I had issues, they were very understanding and helped with no problems. I recommend buying from pctorque over any other computer/laptop company out there. Amazing laptop and outstanding service. You've made me a very happy customer!!

UPDATE 18 Feb 2101:
On the ugly below, I mentioned that I received an ancient version of PowerDVD with the system. PCT just informed me they are sending a new one out. Yay PCTorque! Will update this again upon receipt of the CD.
Purchased a Sager NP7652
The very good: Presale - excellent response to all my questions, I never had to wait long. PCTorque agreed to sell me a laptop with a clean W7 install, without the crapware you get from Dell and the others. Shipped within 48 hrs, and I received the laptop in good shape. Everything seems to be in working order so far, although I haven't burned a CD yet.
The pretty good: Laptop did, in fact, have a pretty clean W7 install, but there were still a couple extras that I needed to take out. No biggie.
The fair: Instead of a real Windows CD, I got one of those dreaded restore disks. But also not a biggie, because when I slicked the system and reinstalled Windows (I wanted to make major changes in the partitions) the restore CD pretty much acted like a MS CD.
The ugly: I ordered the laptop with a Blu Ray reader. It came with an ancient version of PowerDVD. Booo. But to be fair, I haven't griped to PCT yet, I've been busy. I'll update this review when I have the results of this.
Overall: A good experience! With the one exception of the ancient PowerDVD (which may yet get resolved), I am quite happy. I would recommend PCT to anyone looking for a laptop. This review was modified by its author, medief, on

I must have emailed over a dozen times to Customer service. They were patient and answered every question for me. I will say this. I will order my next PC from PCTorque. This was a pleasant experience and I thoroughly enjoyed the answers to my NUMEROUS questions. They helped me sort out my requirements and I ordered a Sager 7652 from them
It was a good experience.
I should Add I could have ordered from PC Connection a computer because family works there. But knowing how their CS is, so I stuck with someone who answered my questions.
