2007 Multiple attempts to utilize DSN warranty and the RepairTech warranty they sold us. Followed Repairtech's instructions to send lens to NikonUSA. They returned stating gray market lens.
Repairtech and DSN unresponsive. Want us to send lens back to them, post paid, insured. I do not trust at all after the manner in which we have been mislead and spent time and money following thier instructions with no resolution. 2007.

I did eventually get the camera although it was a gray market not USA model that they advertised on Ebay. Shipping was very very slow. They do return emails but aren't very useful. Never got the 8gb card that they promised. Would I buy from them again? Definitely not.

Are all the NY, Ebay based companies selling all grey market stuff or what? They all seem to be the same business with many different names. And they are selling tons of cameras while some reputable stores are out of stock. Just curious how they get neg feedback from those who seem knowledgeable but so much pos feedback also, maybe a lot of people don't know what grey market is? Just wondering.

Sunshine electronics has their good ratings because they force feedback. They will not issue a refund if you don't give them posotive feedback. They also say it must be five-star, but no ebay store can tell who gives 5 star and who does not, so buyers who have been swindled by this company can give them 1 star ratings without sunshine knowing if they did that!

We are building a new house (probably the only people in our state right now) and were getting some prices on televisions. We noticed them on ebay and placed a call to there sales line. Everyone else I called, grew impatient when I told them the house would not be ready for 6 months. The person I spoke with (I believe his name was Mike) was patient and helpful. He told me to place the order 1 month before I needed the TV’s because there are times when things go out of stock. I appreciated his honesty, the last place I ordered from took 1 month and told me it would take 5 days. Once I placed my orders with Sunshine, it took about 13 days. All the TV’s came together, in perfect condition.

After reading many negative & positive reviews about Sunshine Electonics, I had to chime in. I placed my order with them BEFORE I saw the reviews, and at first I was regretting my decision. Their prices were lower than the stores in my neighborhood, they had free shipping, and they didn't charge me tax because I was out of state. I ordered a Nikon D90 with them through ebay. I didn't feel comfortable placing such a big order over the Internet, so I gave them a call and talked to a very helpful sales person. The order was processed quickly, one lens needed to be special ordered from the manufacture, that took an extra week. They kept me informed of the delay. My overall experience was very positive.

Sunshine proved the local Wolf Camera wrong. I wanted to give our local shop the business. I used to develop there for years, and since I work in the area, every time I pass the store, the person behind the counter gives me a nod hello. I went in there and showed him what shopsunshine.com was offering. He literally laughed at me. Said that there was “no way I would get all of that for $764” Sunshine proved me right and him wrong.

Pyxis_Camera, Shopshine.com, Cyber Discount Warehouse = one company.
I originally placed placed an order with Pyxis_Camera on ebay for a Nikon D700 kit. The kit arrived without the included lenses. After receiving the lenses the camera turned out to be defective. On 12-31-08. The camera was exchanged for a D300 kit. The cust. service rep said he would only replace my "DEFECTIVE" camera if I left them positive feedback and a 5 star rating on Ebay. I had to pay $149 to ship the camera back. The new kit arrived without one of the two lenses in the kit. I contacted customer service by phone and spoke with a “Sebastian”, who told me there was a problem with the lenses causing error messages on the cameras. He went onto say the lenses had to be sent back and another would be in the warehouse and ship the following Tuesday (01-13-09). He said I would get an email that day with a tracking number for the item. No email was sent.
I contacted customer service on 01-15-09 and spoke with a person with a different voice that called himself “Sebastian”. He assured me it would be in the following Tuesday (01-20-09) and gave the same information stating I would get an email with the tracking information. No email was sent. I called again on 01-22-09, and spoke to another person named “Dexter”. This time, he assured me he would look into the matter personally. He said the item was due in the following Tuesday (01-27-09). The same email was promised. No email.
I called in on 01-30-09 and spoke with a person with the same voice earlier as “Sebastian”. He assured the lens would be in the following Tuesday (02-03-09). He assured the same email. No email.
I called in on 02-10-09, and spoke with a different person named “Dexter”. I explained my concerns to him. He said he was the only “Dexter” that worked there. He said he would take up the issue with his manager. He said he would call me back on 02-11-09, by 2 p.m. pacific coast time with an update on the shipping of the lens. No call.
I called back in on Thursday 02-11-09, and asked to speak to the manager. I spoke with a person claiming to be the manager. I explained the concern after being promised claims of shipment. He said, I was “Shit out of luck!” and hung up the phone on me.
This is still not resolve...

On December 11 my wife purchased a Sony Digital SLR kit -- including bag, tripods, etc.
The camera arrived with a defective lens mount. Unfortunately we were leaving on vacation in New Zealand on December 26, and so there was no time to return the defective camera and receive a replacement before we left.
Accordingly, following conversations with the vendor, on December 22 my wife purchased a second camera ($700) and made arrangements for the return of the original (defective) one in our absence. This was shipped back by my wife's mother on December 29, and received by them on January 2.
Upon our return from NZ, no refund had been processed. I spoke to Customer Service on January 27 (!) and was told that the refund would be processed "in the next couple of days". I called again on January 30 and was told it would happen "today". In response to my email later that day, I received an email from Customer Relations indicating that the refunds department would be contacting me today (Monday). This hasn't happened, no refund has been processed, and this vendor has now had 30 days to do so.
For what it's worth, the camera is very nice. The accessories are a mixed bag though -- the bag is quite nice but the tripod is flimsy, for example.
UPDATE: in response to my email earlier on 2/2, I have received an apologetic email (the billing department was "a little backed up", apparently...). But still no refund.
UPDATE: 9pm, Feb 4: notwithstanding the note below, no refund has been posted to my account, at least not one I can see online. Rest assured I'll be talking to my bank in the morning. This review was modified by its author, herdeja, on

I received my NIKON D300 the very next day after ordering it. I had to pay for overnight delivery, There “free” delivery is for ground delivery only. I tried to get shopsunshine.com to waive it, they would not. They gave me some $25 coupon to help with the cost of next day air. I found shopsunshine.com to be reasonable.

Here is the shopsunshine.com lowdown:
My shipping address was different then my billing address, I was asked to call customer service. I was asked for more information, for which I gave. 2 days later, I called again, to see where my camera was. They gave me a tracking #. It had just shipped.
Great price and lots for your money. Wish I would have called in the order to take care of the shipping address issue.
Overall A- for shopsunshine.com
