Let me tell you how an order at shosunshine.com is been processed. You see that nice and friendly webpage with not amazing but very competitive prices. Well described with all legitimate terms and conditions. Under shipping it’s clearly stated your order will be shipped in 1-2 business days… fair enough! Then you call the toll free # and nice and polite sells rep takes your order. You will not get order conformation by email or a receipt of any kind at lease I didn’t. And after u get it, u read it thru and it says “allow 3-5 days for you order to be processed if it is a time sensitive delivery it will be shipping sooner” (that’s a false advertisement and in USA is illegal). So u wait your 5 days and u ask yourself what happened with my camera after all I am paying substantial amount of money? So u call them and they tell you your order will be shipped next Tuesday, BUT they will upgrade your shipping method so u can get it in 2 days or so. You are nice enough because well something could happened to everyone they might have too many orders or half of their employees could be sick (that btw would explain the 20mins waiting on the line to talk to customer service rep.).anyhow the day comes u check you order status and it only says “send to warehouse” just like the past 15 days so u email them because u are sick of waiting and they tell you how much they are sorry and they will shipped on Thursday and they will do free overnight shipping for FREE so u can finally have your camera after 20 days. The day came I was more than upset to see there is nothing about my camera so I called to be honest with you to cancel my “order” but by the time I tell them my order# they told me it will never be shipped! ! !  
Ok I got my money refunded on the very next day but that’s 20days later and I don’t have the camera I wanted to buy. And in this 20 days the other cameras I was watching on ebay.com got sold and I still can get one because shopsunshine.com. I am not trying to hold anyone back from ordering from them I only ask u before u press the “buy it now” button to think about is the $100 saving worth all this? There is always a great chance u will hit another similar scam but at least you are warned about this one.

I am experiencing a very unpleasant moment dealing with Shopsunshine.  
More than two month ago I bought a camcroder I'm still waiting for.  
Every time I've been asking about the shipping, someone answered tome that it was leaving in the nex 48h; it's been like this for weeks; more recently I threatened to complain on such forums and someone seemed to react: the camcorder was supposed to be shipped the next opening day with a free battery as a compensation. That was two weeks ago, and I never ever heard about any tracking number.  
Thay told me many things, like this:  
"We received a shipment of these cameras which had few defective ones within the stock. Ultimately we decided to send the shipment back to be replaced. "  
or, lately:  
"Our vendor sent us the NTSC Version instead"  
which is not exactly the same.  
 
These people don't seem very reliable, and I begin to fear I'll never see neither the camcorder or the 2780$ I already paid. On time.

Placed an order for a Nikon D90 w/ 18-200mm lens on Ebay. Come to find out there is no manufacturer's warranty with the product. I called DSN to express my concerns and they appeared to be willing to help. I eventually canceled the order and was told that I had to leave positive feedback in order to receive a refund. This is strictly forbidden by Ebay feedback extortion policy. It's been over 2 weeks now and I'm still waiting for my refund. I've called several times to check the status of my refund and everyone says the same thing "It's been processed and you should see it credited to your account today". The DSN staff seems as though they are very concerned about customer satisfaction, but there are way too many blunders with the way this company operates. It's safe to say that I will NEVER order from DSN again. They sell "Grey Market" or imported items that do not come with manufacturer warranties and do not explicitly tell customers in the product description. Is omitting information considered to be dishonest or fraudulent? You be the judge.  
 
Granted DSN has good prices, but I don't think it is worth all the hassle it in the end. Plus what happens if there is something wrong with the product? Buy from a more reputable company like B & H, which is what I did.

I did eventually get the camera although it was a gray market not USA model that they advertised on Ebay. Shipping was very very slow. They do return emails but aren't very useful. Never got the 8gb card that they promised. Would I buy from them again? Definitely not.

Pyxis_Camera, Shopshine.com, Cyber Discount Warehouse = one company.  
 
I originally placed placed an order with Pyxis_Camera on ebay for a Nikon D700 kit. The kit arrived without the included lenses. After receiving the lenses the camera turned out to be defective. On 12-31-08. The camera was exchanged for a D300 kit. The cust. service rep said he would only replace my "DEFECTIVE" camera if I left them positive feedback and a 5 star rating on Ebay. I had to pay $149 to ship the camera back. The new kit arrived without one of the two lenses in the kit. I contacted customer service by phone and spoke with a “Sebastian”, who told me there was a problem with the lenses causing error messages on the cameras. He went onto say the lenses had to be sent back and another would be in the warehouse and ship the following Tuesday (01-13-09). He said I would get an email that day with a tracking number for the item. No email was sent.  
I contacted customer service on 01-15-09 and spoke with a person with a different voice that called himself “Sebastian”. He assured me it would be in the following Tuesday (01-20-09) and gave the same information stating I would get an email with the tracking information. No email was sent. I called again on 01-22-09, and spoke to another person named “Dexter”. This time, he assured me he would look into the matter personally. He said the item was due in the following Tuesday (01-27-09). The same email was promised. No email.  
I called in on 01-30-09 and spoke with a person with the same voice earlier as “Sebastian”. He assured the lens would be in the following Tuesday (02-03-09). He assured the same email. No email.  
I called in on 02-10-09, and spoke with a different person named “Dexter”. I explained my concerns to him. He said he was the only “Dexter” that worked there. He said he would take up the issue with his manager. He said he would call me back on 02-11-09, by 2 p.m. pacific coast time with an update on the shipping of the lens. No call.  
 
I called back in on Thursday 02-11-09, and asked to speak to the manager. I spoke with a person claiming to be the manager. I explained the concern after being promised claims of shipment. He said, I was “Shit out of luck!” and hung up the phone on me.  
This is still not resolve...

On December 11 my wife purchased a Sony Digital SLR kit -- including bag, tripods, etc.  
 
The camera arrived with a defective lens mount. Unfortunately we were leaving on vacation in New Zealand on December 26, and so there was no time to return the defective camera and receive a replacement before we left.  
 
Accordingly, following conversations with the vendor, on December 22 my wife purchased a second camera ($700) and made arrangements for the return of the original (defective) one in our absence. This was shipped back by my wife's mother on December 29, and received by them on January 2.  
 
Upon our return from NZ, no refund had been processed. I spoke to Customer Service on January 27 (!) and was told that the refund would be processed "in the next couple of days". I called again on January 30 and was told it would happen "today". In response to my email later that day, I received an email from Customer Relations indicating that the refunds department would be contacting me today (Monday). This hasn't happened, no refund has been processed, and this vendor has now had 30 days to do so.  
 
For what it's worth, the camera is very nice. The accessories are a mixed bag though -- the bag is quite nice but the tripod is flimsy, for example.  
 
UPDATE: in response to my email earlier on 2/2, I have received an apologetic email (the billing department was "a little backed up", apparently...). But still no refund.  
 
UPDATE: 9pm, Feb 4: notwithstanding the note below, no refund has been posted to my account, at least not one I can see online. Rest assured I'll be talking to my bank in the morning.

I received my NIKON D300 the very next day after ordering it. I had to pay for overnight delivery, There “free” delivery is for ground delivery only. I tried to get shopsunshine.com to waive it, they would not. They gave me some $25 coupon to help with the cost of next day air. I found shopsunshine.com to be reasonable.

Just like most have found, this company loves the run-around. Purchased the camera on the 1st, the thing didn't ship until the 8th, and as I needed the camera fairly quickly this sort of pigeon-holed me into getting expedited shipping. Even after paying them more money for faster shipping, they still took their sweet time shipping it. After this, they pestered me for a 5-star review, which is to say they wanted me to post I was perfectly happy waiting near on 2 weeks for a 2-day shipped camera that I ended out having to pay extra shipping for, being emailed and ordered to give them 5-star feedback and a positive review. After I received the camera and told them I didn't think they deserved such praise, they (Marc) had the pure audacity to call my cell phone on my cell phone at yell at me for not wanting to leave pure feedback. Suffice it to say I will never shop there again, and have told all I know not to shop with DSN either.

I wasn't totally clear on whether "ships in 2-3 business days" means it arrives in 2-3 business days. My camera shipped in 2 days, once it shipped I got it in 4 days, total 6 days.

There a good place for cameras. I shopped around and spoke to lots of people. They were no bull. I got what was advertised in a timely manner. One item was on backorder, I was notified of that in advance and they gave me a clear time frame on when I would receive it. Good folks.

Ordered a lowepro camera bag. Product arrived in 4 business days via standard shipping. I was skeptical about this vendor because the bag was $30 less than anyone else. That's a huge difference on a $60 bag. However, the bag arrived on time. Its a new unopened package. I would definitely use them again.

No problems. In stock item shipped quickly and arrived here in less than a week. I like that I wasn't charged shipping or sales tax. On top of that, they had the lowest price for my Nikon D300. I will definitely purchase from them again!
