My sales rep, Chuck, was very helpful and found the best configuration to meet my $2,000 budget. I especially like the ability to pick the exact components by brand.
I ordered the computer and had it in house in about three weeks. It came updated with all the latest drivers. I opened the case to check the configuration and make sure that the cards were all properly seated and was pleasantly suprised by the orderly and clean interior. I had ordered the system before their new website was opened. They upgraded the case and hard drives and memory to the state of the art although it was not specified in the initial order. The system has worked flawlessly except for a problem with the Beta release of the BIOS that came with the computer occasionally weirding out until I updated it. Oh, did I mention, the system screams in games? When it is time for a new computer, I will call Velocity.
When it came time to replace my aging computer two years ago, a friend recommended Velocity Micro to me. After countless hours of research deciding exactly what components I wanted in my "High Performance Hot Rod", I gave these guys a call and boy am I ever glad I did! The professionals at Velocity listened to what I was looking for and delivered an exceptional system in a very timely manner. No doubletalk, no hidden costs, just great customer service at a great price. Would I recommend these guys? You bet, I even recommended them to my own mother when she decided to take the plunge into the world of technology.

I just wanted to make sure everyone out there knows how great these guys are. I usually build my own PC's for gaming but I felt it was time to let the professionals do it this time. I was looking for a new gaming PC and had looked at some of the other companies out there that make gaming machines. I don't think I could add up all the hours I spent researching back and forth for who had the best specs and the best price but when I found Velocity the hunt was over. It was definately the best overall. I pretty much knew what I wanted in the machine but the sales guy I talked to (Will) told me some things I didn't even know about. The personal attention he gave me was awesome. He answered every question in detail and never rushed me at all. This was not the case at the other places. Anyway I have had the machine for about 3 months and it has been great - and I push it hard.
Great job guys! I'll be back.

I am glad Velocity has finally linked to Resellerratings so I can brag about these guys!
I bought my NoteMagix S56 notebook from Velocity based on my fantastic experience with the Gamer's Edge desktop system I got for gaming earlier this summer, because it was so well built and tweaked. It was smoking fast!!
Anyway, the notebook was exactly the same one I found at Alienware and a few other places, but I liked how Velocity tweaked these notebooks for performance, and they had a much shorter leadtime, too. Oh, the price was $100 less, too.
I have to mention how helpful Randy was with my decision. I definitely reccomend Velocity if you want a really special computer from "standup" people.

I have purchased at least 25 computers for two of my companies since 1981 and have never had consistently superior service until I purchased my first from Velocity Micro in 1995 on advice from a friend. I have since bought several for business as well as two for personal use.
Their service and product is excellent in every way and I can't imagine buying elsewhere.
Extremely pleased w/the personal attention to details needed for custom-made computer by this company. Completely satisfied w/the performance and style of the system.
I purchased my second computer from Velocity Micro in December 2001.
(This was after I realized the shelf bought computer I purchased from a retail store less than a year earlier was not even close to what I needed for my newly connected cable internet service.)
I was led to Velocity Micro by a friend who had much more computer knowledge than me. (Thank goodness for him!) I need not say the next computer I purchase will come from Velocity because in my book there is no other choice!
(The speed of my new computer has literally given me hours of extra time I can spend with my family! each week and not spend waiting for downloads as I was before.)
I read about Velocity in PCGamer and MaximumPC. I shopped all the big name PC builders, and picked Velocity because they had better configuration choices and a really good sales person who helped me with all of the tough decisions to meet my budget of $1900. I couldn't get this price for what I wanted from anybody else who was really "good", with a national reputation. (Computers are more than just the components in a box. They include the assembly method, installation, and tuning, plus customer support and tech help after the sale. Not many companies deliver all of this.)
What I received was much better than I expected! The system was completely updated and tweaked, and the wiring job was fantastic. The attention to detail really shows. MaximumPC was right, this is a "Kick Ass" system, especially for $1900.
