I placed an order on the website, after completing the purchase the website said there was a problem with the order and to call in. Upon calling in the sales guy, "Bob", tried to upsell me on some products (not a problem).
He then said ok, you're total now includes insurance for shipping of approximately $50. When I said that I had not agreed to it, he said that was standard policy. I said that there was no mention of insurance at the time of order, nor does their website advise of such policy, he said, i should be happy since their price was so low to begin with.
He said since I was a first time customer that we would reduce the "insurance" if I bought some extra products.
I ultimately canceled my order
This is a fly by night organization. Protect yourself by never making an order.
I placed an order with us1camera.com on 8-9-09. The salesman I placed my order with was dismissed from his position shortly after. This caused my order to be delayed and somewhat forgotten.
I contacted Thomas at us1camera.com on 8-14-09 with my concerns reference my order and not receiving any emails or tracking information for my package. He then explained to me what had happened with the salesman I had placed my order with. Thomas was very prompt with fixing the issue with my order and sent it out using FedEx Express. Not only that, Thomas was nice enough to refund a portion of the cost and give me a free camera battery for my troubles. Thanks Thomas, your customer service with me was very professional and prompt.
*UPDATE* 9-8-09
Ok, I've had the camera for about three weeks now and it's a great camera. BUT, I did not get the refund for shipping like I was promised from Thomas as of yet and I do not expect to get it. I also found out once I received the camera that it DOES NOT come with the manufacturer's warrantly. This was something that would have caused me to order elsewhere. I WAS told prior to ordering that it did come with the manufacturer's warranty. I might have returned the camera for a refund but I feared I would not receive my money back after reading the reviews about US1CAMERA not refunding customer's money after a return.
Honestly, after all of this, I am just thankful I received the camera. False promises and several emails and phone calls to get my order even shipped after I already paid will cause me to not use US1CAMERA again.

It is the worse experience ever. The sales guy was forcefully asking me to buy a lot of accessory that I do not need. He became very impatient and rude when I told him that I do not need those things.
I ordered a kit package but received my camera and lens separately, not happy about this.
Customer service guy is also rude and not friendly.
I placed this order with James at us1photo. He was very high pressure and did not respond to my questions about itemized pricing insisting that he could only give me a package price. Now I know why. I was sent the wrong memeory card and was charged $80.00 for a memory card that I can purchase for 10.25 at Reitz. Also I was charged 70.00 for a 3 piece filter kit that is avaiable for 10.75 at Amazon. All in all, I wished to buy a Cannon SLR that they had priced for 650.00 w/ 18mm-55mm lens and a free case and ended up with a $1030.00 bill with a bunch of overpriced accessories. On 7/20/09 I called customer support and spoke with Kevin and tried to remedy problems with order and fully describe my complaint that I was unable to do with James. Kevin explained to me that they list all of their memory cards with a generic part number. So you can't be certain of which memory card your actually buying unless you can get it verified at the time of the order andthis is why I did not receive the card I thought that I was ordering. Kevin also helped completing the part of my order that was missing - all of the promotional packages that were available at the time of placing my order. I later received a call from Kevin after he read my original review on this web site that was less than satisfactory. He said that he wanted to try to make things right with me and refunded $50. Even though I still think that the accessories that I purchased were very expensive and not what I thought that I ordered, Kevin did try to make things better and explain that the salesman that I talked to was new and did not handle the call very well.

Stay Away from US1 Camera / US1 Photo. Ordered a camera that showed "in stock". Got an e-mail confirmation. Waited several days-nothing. On the fourth business day, (not including the weekend) I get a phone call trying to sell additional pricey items. Was told the item is "out of stock", US1Photo will cancel the order.
Ordered Nikon SB-900 Speedlight for $449 with free shipping. Never received any confirmation of any kind. Called few days later, rejected an offer to buy batteries. They guy on the phone told me that my total will be $467 something because I have to pay for shipping insurance. When I pointed out that web site does not mention any shipping insurance he asked to click on the box icon and message came up saying that I may be charged for shipping insurance. How could I find it myself? I canceled the order.
Several days ago I got call from Kevin, the manager, he apologized for the bad shopping experience I had, promised that it'll never happen again and offered me free battery pack for inconvenience.
According to Kevin shipping insurance is optional but sales guy did not tell me that.
I'll give this store another try.

Order a Canon 50D from us1camera.com because they had the best price. I found out they are not a Canon authorized dealer so any warranty was not from Canon but through them. I didn't like this fact so canceled the order.
I recently purchased a 10-20mm wide angle Sigma lens from US1Photo.com and am very please. They offered the best price with a speedy delivery and great packaging quality. The lens works great and I will consider them for all of my future camera needs. Thanks USPhoto1!
I found a good deal at this site for my camera but they cheated with me with the accessories price. They offered me a discounted price( as per their statement) of memory card on the phone and sent it to me; that was 4 times higher than the actual price. I called and complained about it to the manager but no action was taken.
My order from US1Camera was very efficient and easy. Great customer service. I received a conformation call for the camera I order. Customer service was friendly and very helpful. Suggested that I add a battery which has been great.
Buyer Beware of US1photo.com. I purchased a camcorder on Monday May 18, 2009. Their price was way lower than anything else out there and the camera was listed as "in stock".
During the next four days while I was out of town, they sent me 3-4 emails and left me 3-4 voicemails asking me to contact them. When I did, they said the item was out of stock, and they would have it in about a week. They then tried to sell me extra accessories (which were ridiculously overpriced). I said no thanks and they then tried to sell me a warranty. He offered me a warranty for half price ($300 marked down to $150) because of my delay. I asked him to send me a copy of the warranty info at which time I realized that I could purchase the warranty (a lousy one at that) for $35 elsewhere (i.e.: BuyDig.com).
When I told them I was not interested in their warranty, they told me the camera would not be in for a couple-three weeks and they would phone me. Another words, they were not willing to sell me the camera at the advertised price unless I purchased a rip-off warranty policy or way over priced accessories along with the camcorder.
Don't waste your precious time; read all the reviews and use good judgment. Pay a few more dollars and purchase from a reputable company. Avoid us1photo like the plague.
Very bad service to the client. Such it seems that the people of service had a script on front of their eyes, because they are limited to respond it strictly necessary and they do not provide a valid solution to the problems. I had a failed purchase in this store. Almost 3 days after to have passed all the process of election of my product (a camera Canon 450D) and to have done the process of payment, they tell me that my credit card cannot be accepted and that I should send them copies of my documents, thing that I did immediately, and after other 2 days of wait, they told me that they would not attend to my order because is a forwarding company. This information never appeared at the moment of my order. The truth I doubt that try to buy again here, they are enough disorganized in their processes and information to the buyer.

I was billed twice for this order.(844.92) Ihave continued to ask for a refund. They have continued to say it's on the way.
The last call, April 30, US1Camera stated the are under new ownership and I am screwed.
Went to VISA, to long fron purchase date.

Stay away from US1 Camera. I ordered a Canon Vixia HV30 MiniDV HDV Camcorder for 549.00 on 04/08/09. I understood because of their posted holiday they would not process until 04/12/ Wrong! Then their website showed it would be 04/17. You cannot contact them via email. Forget calling them I was on hold over 30 minutes on several different occasions and was never able to speak to someone. It was a free shipping deal. They finally called late on 04/17. They kept trying to get me to upgrade to different packages. I insisted no and was beginning to not have a warm and fuzzy feeling. My gut feeling was right about this company. I told them I must have by 04/24 and would pay for UPS 2nd day. They agreed to charge me 20.00 and promised to ship and I would have on 04/23 for sure. Wrong again. It is still not here. Stay away from this bunch. It is the worst experience I have ever had. I should know better and should have google-ed US1 Camera. The red flag would have gone up and I could have avoided all of this. I also cancelled my CC so they would not charge me. Bad company stay away at all expense. Stay with trusted merchants.

I placed an order late on Saturday (4/18) and received a confirmation email immediately. On Wednesday (4/22), I received an email asking me to call to confirm my order. Since I had read other negative reviews, I was anticipating the "upsell" and problems with the order. No one answered when I called and I left a message.
About 2 hours later, I received a call back and I was informed that there had been a mistake (something about a warehouse and it having been passover the week before) and that they were actually out of stock of the item I had ordered. The caller from US1Camera was very polite, apologized, did not try to upsell me to anything, and asked if I would like to cancel my order because they were not sure when they would be getting the product in. I told him that I would like to cancel, and he assured me that my credit card had not been charged and apologized again. I later checked my credit card online and found that no charges had been made.
Overall, I was not happy that my order was out of stock, but that could happen anywhere. I feel that US1Photo was very upfront and honest in dealing with the situation. Overall I really can't complain. I was expecting worse after reading here, but it was all handled professionally.
