These guys are the most dishonest bunch I ever ran across on the internet.
Ordered subs on the 17th. They sent me a email with a tracking number stating the subs were shipped on the 19th.
UPS indicated that billing info received, BUT NOTHING WAS EVER SENT!!! Customer service acted confused and promised a call back. That was 10 days ago. I had to file a chargeback to get my money back.
These people are scam artists and if you order from them you deserve everything that you get.
I hope someone puts them out of business.

Purchased items online 9/24, called on 9/26 to see when items will ship, lady on customer support line said my oreder is shipping out "today(9/26)".
Called back on 9/28, lady told me itmes were backordered, I asked to cancel my order, she said,:your order will be cancelled and you will get an email", and she hung up on me.
Poor customer service. Will never order from this company again.

I've ordered from them on two occasions, and have had no problems. Once a Panasonic deck, and some infinity kappa speakers. Both times were shipped promptly and as advertised. Would buy from again.

I ordered 2 pair of Infinity car speakers on July 2, I received an e-mail from the store on July 3rd stating my order had shipped with a UPS tracking number. My credit card was charged for the amount, $160.00. When my order had not arrived by 7/10 and no UPS tracking information was available, I called customer service. I was told that the merchandise was not shipped & was not in stock. Customer service could not tell me when they would receive the items. No credit to my account was offerred and when I requested a credit to my credit card, I was told OK, they would credit me in the next few days! It still has not happen!

I was recently purchasing a stereo for my car and couldn't find the model (CQ-C8413U) at ANY of the regular legit stores. A quick google search netted me onlinecarstereo.com. No, I did not research them before hand, and found the stereo for a good price. I assumed it was grey market, but bought it anyway.
Then...I researched the store. Well, yes, it was new and therefore backordered forever. I was able to call in and speak to a person, and surprisingly, when I left a message asking for an update, they emailed me back the same day.
The package arrived with a large disclaimer (as all grey market products do) that you must return to them for the warrenty. It was in original packaging and the stereo had NOT been removed from its cellophane wrapper (sigh of relief). I was just as skeptical after reading all the horror stories, but they came through in the end. Lets just hope that their service (should I need it) is as helpful. I'm still very skeptical and would rather buy from Crutchfield.

Personally I think people whine too much about things being not in stock, with all companies, but especially this one. I know it's inconvenient, but you're usually not out any money and you can get on with your life.
I, on the other hand, spent $219 on an amp (MB Quart RAA2400), which worked for about ten minutes and is now a very expensive foot stool.
But I'm not complaining about the amp, it was great while it worked and MB Quart makes great products. It was probably just a bad egg. What I hate is that Online Car Stereo sends a little piece of paper out with their products that says basically that they aren't an authorized dealer of anything, so the manufacturer's warranty is void, but that they'll guarantee all their products for one year. The catch is that they won't guarantee any product that's been installed. So how you're supposed to use it and know if it doesn't work without actually installing it is beyond me.
They have very cheap prices and I suspect that they sell a lot of dent and scratch and return items, plus not being an authorized dealer helps with that. But you're taking your chances big time. I wouldn't worry about the people who complain endlessly about them not having their item in stock. Things like that happen.
But, you must be aware that you're either going to get a great product for cheap or an expensive brick of plastic and transistors that you'd better hope looks good hanging on the wall because that's all you're going to get out of it.
It's a huge gamble. Pray for good luck if you buy from companies like these.

As some others have said, I made an order from them, received my order... well, at least half of it anyways. They never bothered to call me or email me to tell me that part of my order was not in stock. I had to call thinking that part of my order was stolen just to have them tell me it was on backorder and they have no idea when it will be in. This to me spells horrible service, and a lack of care for the customer. I'll never do business with them again.

This store removes serial numbers from their products. Highly shady business. Never again will I shop here. The product advertised as brand new came with scratches all over it.

To Good to be true...as the saying goes. I called before placing order and was told items I wanted were in stock. I placed order and then called back. I was told my order would definitely ship that day.
Next day still hadn't shipped. I called back and they told me my order was on backorder. I canceled my order.
www.cardomain.com matched their price and gave me an additional 5%. This was well below their normal price. Now that is customer satisfaction. This review was modified by its author, dgore, on

Bringing new meaning to "total lack of communication"
I placed order on a Thursday around noon and not having it ship within 24 hours I decided to shoot em an e-mail, no response, even 3 days later. On the following Monday morning I sent a 2nd set of e-mails, still no responses.
Finally I went to call, and got nothing but busy signals for ~90 minutes. Finally, I got through, and was told "Item is still not in stock". Still? "Were you ever going to tell me that it wasn’t in stock to begin with?" I did of course receive an apology, at the same time I was told they did not know when they would be receiving, something that should have been told to me prior to ordering, or at least immediately afterwards. VERY VERY horrible service, on my first attempt to purchase two subwoofers, they ended up charging some one elses order to my credit card along with my order, in doing this my credit card went over limit, and stuck in authorization for days, which forced me to cancel the card because i was afraid of identity theft, when i found out it was onlinecarstereo who made the wrong charge, they were rude and tried denying it. i then cancelled my order and re ordered the items on a different card, after 4 days of no response on when it would ship, i emailed customer service, to find out that they are out of stock, and didnt bother to even tell me.... VERY VERY bad service,, wasted much of my time, customer service reps are rude and sarcastic..DO NOT BUY HERE!!

Horrible!!!! The radio I ordered was late getting shipped and when I had to return it due to a broken CD player, they lost the box!! I had to harrass them for 2 weeks staight for them to even look for the package and they never answered any of my 4 e-mails to customer service. After 2 weeks of calls and e-mails with no response, they told me they never recieved the radio, that it must have been delivered to the wrong address, and to file a claim with the post office. They were not responsive and as unhelpful as possible. They didn't even have the decency to contact me when they realized the radio was missing.
