Considering this is a "computer" website, I found it to be not so user friendly. I ordered my item and at the time of the order confirmation, was not informed it was back ordered. I used my pay pal account and received an email confirming the order and stating it might be held for credit verification or if necessary information is needed to confirm(??) After a couple of days, still no shipping confirmation. I checked back and discovered then the item was back ordered. I canceled the item at that time as I no longer needed it. I wouldn't say the experience was terrible, but I didn't think it was very competent.  
 
Addendum: 9/29/09 the company was nice enough to offer me a $25 gift certificate for my troubles after reading my review. For that I have to revise this and give them a thumbs up.

It took 12 days from the time I ordered this until the time it shipped. No notice that it was on backorder ot anything - as a matter of fact, the order confirmation indicated it would ship the next day. Very bad, very unacceptable.

Everything was great, no problems with order.

Backorders are automatically filled when they become available without hassels. Prices are reasonable and often better than other outlets. Markertek continues to be an excellent resource for a wide variety of items needed to produce documentaries and other video projects. It's the first place I look to find that special cable, adapter or other item that solves the small problems and challenges we encounter. Quality, selection, service, and follow up are all the traits Markertek provides to us. I consider them an important part of my team, especially when we configure new gear for a project. Don't go changing! ;-)

A while back some audio enthusiasts pointed me to Markertek.com for something I needed. I quickly realized however that they have a LOT more than just that. Though I'm not doing anything professional like installing equipment, I still needed some good materials for my own audio equipment. I found that Markertek actually had surprisingly good prices and a LOT of options, including my preferred brands and materials. They've also been very timely in their processing of orders and quick to ship. Overall an excellent service and not only have I continued to use the service since then, I will continue to do so for some time to come.

This was my first experience with Markertek. It went very smooth. The person I spoke with over the phone was very helpful in getting me the correct product ordered. The only draw back (and this is minor) was there was no invoice with the items shipped.

I had searched all over the area and could not find the product I was looking for (lay flat extension cords). When typed into my web browser up can the name Markertex. Their web site brought back memories of my military days as a videographer and the products I had used from Markertek. I ordered the cord and it arrived in two days with the catalog I had requested. The cord is a good as anything I have ever used and just is not available anywhere else. I'll be ordering more from Markertek.

Product arrived as advertised. Ground shipping to Seattle area was very long - 7 days. Have had problems in the past with incorrect items being shipped, but this order came through without any problems.

Easy to work with and process was flawless from our perspective.

Never got order. slow to respond to inquirey resulting in having to buy from another vendor and pay rush charges
