We have not had a good experiece with 6th Ave. A Toshiba LCD TV was advertised on their web site to ship on Black Friday (the day I ordered it), but two weeks later has not shipped and 6th Ave can't provide a promise date. Also, 6th Ave does not respond to customer service emails requesting status and their chat sessions are not useful - frustrating. I've included the dialog from my second chat session below.

Frantz Ext. 8620: Out of stock at this time. Hopefully they'll be hetre next week.
Carl: how long have they been out of stock?
Frantz Ext. 8620: I can not recall right now.
Carl: we placed the order 1.5 weeks ago
Carl: we were told last wednesday that our order would ship this past friday
Carl: [very long delay] hello?
Frantz Ext. 8620: They did not arrive to our warehouse yet. Maybe we werte expecting them on Friday.
Carl: do you have a promise date from Toshiba (or your distributor)?
Frantz Ext. 8620: Call Customer Service @ 877-684-2831 and maybe they have more info.
Carl: can I cancel my order now?
Frantz Ext. 8620: We do not control when the manufacturer ships them.
Carl: When I placed the order, the web site said that it would ship the same day and then I was told that it would ship this past Friday.
Frantz Ext. 8620: CS will cancell your order for you.
Carl: you can't?
Frantz Ext. 8620: No, but they can.
Carl: Aren't you customer service
Carl: And why weren't my two emails to customer service responded to?
Frantz Ext. 8620: No sir.
Carl: What are you?
Frantz Ext. 8620: Sales, call CS now.
Carl: sorry - but you and and the other fellow I chatted with haven't been very effective in a sales role.
[no response]
I also sent a copy of this dialog to customer service and have not received a response (typical). I'll avoid this seller in the future.
