I had another great experience with 6ave. This was my second Panasonic plasma purchase from them and I couldn't have asked for better service (not to mention the competitive price). Steven C. at 6ave was very knowledgeable and most of all extremely helpful. I have already recommended 6ave to my family and friends and look forward to purchasing from them again.

I was unsure about buying a plasma from an internet dealer. I researched the TV that I wanted and found the authorized dealers on the manufactures website. I then compared prices for the item with the authorized internet dealers. 6th Avenue stood out due to their pricing, packages, waranty etc. I spoke with a Saleman in the Television Dept. that was thoroughly informed and enjoyable to converse with. Although my decision wasn't final for a couple of days, Steven C. #8448 would always return my phone calls and address all of my concerns. I would definitely go through Steven C (Mr. Magic) and 6th Avenue for future purchases. Great experience.

I placed an on-line order for a Pioneer PDP-4270 plasma because the online service said the unit usually ships in 1 – 3 days. The next day I got a call from 6th ave saying that they had checked the 4270 just prior to shipping it out and that it had "burnt pixels." This line was lame enough to make a grown man whimper like a baby, but it gets worse. The salesman continued on to explain that they would not be getting any more 4270s for at about 3 weeks, but that he could make me a deal on the 42 inch Elite model. The deal on the Elite model was actually tempting, but in reality it was just more money than I wanted to spend. So, I declined the bait-n-switch and canceled my order. Ok, so that’s not as bad as it gets. I then call my CC to find out that they already charged my CC before calling me to tell me it was out of stock. So I call back 6th ave and talk to a lady this time, she tells me that the guy who called me back to tell me about the "burnt pixels" can not cancel orders. I again try to cancel my order, but they could not credit my CC due to some reason that she did not explain very well. So, I call my CC and dispute the charge (Amex rocks!). Ok, so it gets worse. After buying the unit from another vendor and getting all the way to the point of selecting a date for the delivery service to deliver, I then get a call from another delivery service wanting to set up a delivery date for a unit that is coming from 6th ave. I declined the delivery.
This place is using very poor business practices and they lie like a rug.

I spent a few days researching for a new Plasma or LCD TV; I went through a few brands and at the end I was still undecided as the specifications are not very clear across brands. I also went to some “brick and mortar” stores to see the products. After I had an idea of what features were most important to me, I came across this store on the web and decided to call them for help. This retailer is easy to deal with, their customer service representative (Steven) was helpful, answered all my questions and tried to get me the best product value. At the end, I bought two TVs a plasma and an LCD with their respective mounting brackets. Steven recommended an LG TV which is great image, good sound and very easy to use. My order was shipped the same day and it arrived within five business days (express delivery) as promised. The freight carriers they use are committed to delivering on time and all the boxes were in good conditions. Overall, I am very satisfied with the service, product quality, delivery and responsiveness of this retailer. I would recommend to my friends and probably would use again for my next electronics purchase.

Ordered a Lumix DMC FZ50 camera by phone and Robert took the order. He tried to sell some extras, but accepted my third "no thanks." He said delivery would take about 12 days BUT IT ARRIVED IN THREE!
The price was as low as I could find for this product with a US warranty, and Sixth Avenue's "under-promise, over-deliver" sales policy is outstanding. RECOMMENDED. This review was modified by its author, jimdav, on

My experience at 6th Avenue Electronics was very positive. As I was searching the Internet I quickly discovered that the prices were not only competitive, but exceptional. The provision for free delivery also whetted my appetite.
When I called their toll-free number for more information I was greeted in a courteous manner and put through to the head of the television department. Steven C. was extremely helpful and friendly -- he put me at ease immediately in a new venture. He was knowledgeable -- able to answer all my questions, which were many. He was accommodating -- willing to explain options, procedures, and provisions. When I placed my order I felt that it was an informed and wise decision.
The television arrived in perfect condition exactly as promised within a reasonable period of time. The delivery men were courteous in calling ahead to arrange a mutually agreeable time. They also called as they were approaching our home to make sure that everything was still agreeable. When they arrived they cheerfully put the television in the desired location and gave me some brief instructions and suggestions.
Steven C. surprised me with a courtesy follow-up call the very next day to make sure that the television and accessories had arrived safely and that everything was okay. He took the time to provide additional perspectives and answered more questions.
Next time I need to purchase electronic equipment I will definitely consult 6th Avenue!

The whole buying experience was very good. The price is always amazing. When buying for 6th avenue.
Steven helped me choosing the right Plasma TV set and options. When I called him he has return my calls the very same day and explained the progress of the order.
I will definitely buy again from 6ave for sure. This is actually is the second flat screen television I've got from them and the quality is consistent.
The product arrived on time and good conditions, the whole process was flawless. I am very happy with the Plasma TV so far, they have very good prices on high end units that you cannot find everywhere.

This merchant (Steven C) was very helpful and easy to deal with. I ended up with a newer model of the Toshiba 32" LCD HDTV I originally ordered but was completely satisfied with the transaction. Customer service has been great. I would recommend 6th Ave to a friend.
Update 4/28/2007
From order confirmation to delivery only took 3 days. Set was easy to set up and has worked without any hitches or glitches. My wife and I are very pleased with this TV. I ordered a digital camera from Sixth Avenue Electronics. They couldn't get the model I ordered from the manufacturer so without even asking me they sent a different model. Be very wary of doing business with this seller!

I read all the bad reviews and came to the conclusion that some of the bad reviews were not too bad. I had a very pleasant experience. Got the camera 2 days after I placed the order. I buy from a lot of online stores, and would recommend this one.

My WORST online buying experience. I found their customer service to be unsympathetic and unresponsive. They charged me shipping for a package anyone in their right mind would refuse. I purchased an AV receiver from 6ave.com on 2/2 and it was delivered to my home without my signature. The corners of the box were open, packing materials were coming out, the side of the box was bowing due to water damage (still wet), and sand covered the box. Once in DHL’s hands, 6ave would not send out a new receiver until the original was received. I never heard from 6ave again, even after they received the shipment. I mailed a letter detailing my experience to the corporate office and received a reply from their Director of Operations, apologizing for my experience, stating that I would have a resolution by week’s end. This was almost 3 weeks ago, no response. Only after I checked my credit card did I see that I received a PARTIAL refund. Overall buying from 6ave has been a horrible experience.
