I ordered a bag from this store and the wrong item arrived a week or so later. I called CS and was assured that they'd pay for shipping and that they'd send the correct item once they receive the returned bag at the warehouse (strange policy!!! It was their fault, after all). With the gift certificate CS issued I "purchased" the bag I wanted again. It was shipped immediately and arrived in relatively short time. "It" however turned out to be yet again the same wrong bag! As it turns out, they never had the bag I ordered in stock and so were just sending me a substitute. The logic behind this is very frustrating to me. After all this it has taken two full months for me to finally get my money refunded to my credit card but I am still without a new bag! I will never ever do business with them again even though the third CS rep I spoke to ended up being very helpful and nice. What a waste of my time this company has been!!

Ordered this product and paid for 2nd day air to get here before Christmas. I received my tracking number and it went ground and from the looks of it, it won't arrive until after Christmas. I called customer service and all they could do was refund my 2nd day air and apologize. I felt that is very incompetent of them not to double check shipping especially it being around the holidays to make sure people get their order in time. I will never do business with them again and I suggest whoever reads this review to do the same.

I placed an order for four items with a discount code. eBags tried to overcharge for these items separately (luckily I had set a limit with a Virtual Account Number). eBags then removed one of the items stating that is out of stock and removed the discount code as well. When a request (sent three times) was made for a replacement item, no replies were made. Simply the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I will be disputing the charge through the credit card company but eBags was such a turn off in the way they handle correspondence, I would never deal with them in the future.

Horrible customer service and order experience. They took my order for an item they showed in stock. When it hadn't shipped per their online order status, I online chatted with Kenneth. He assured me I would have the item as originally scheduled and the online order status was lagged. Today ( 6 days later) I received and email that the item was not in stock and the order was cancelled. It is now too late to order elsewhere before my trip.  
BEWARE that their stock status means nothing !  
Lorenza wants to give me 25 % off my next order and free shipping for the trouble. I think I'll save the aggravation and order elsewhere.

Originally ordered a 14.1" laptop so I bought a small Roadwired Skooba Sleeve from ebags.com, however instead I bought a 15.4" and it would not fit in the smaller sleeve. I got a return slip from ebags, sent the sleeve in, and was promptly emailed a gift certificate of the cost. I replaced the skooba with a 15.4" sumdex impact guard sleeve and received it in about 4 days with free shipping. I must say ebags.com handled everything smoothly and I am very satisfied with my new sleeve. Will definitely shop again!

I bought a Macroloader last night online, and found the price had dropped after I bought it by $4.50. I submitted a price challenge, and was told it couldn't be honored even though it was from eBags themselves. They have a supposed "110% 'PLUS' Price Guarantee" that says "Part of providing good value is making sure you get the best available price." Don't believe it!  
 
UPDATE: After too much hassle, I finally got the price match, and the bag is great for my new Dell Inspiron E1705 laptop.

First time I ever used them to get a hard-to-find, newly released RoadWired Skooba Seventeen+ notebook case (hardly any reseller had them in stock). They met the best price I could find online plus 10% of the difference. Shipping was free and fast, and the case arrived in perfect condition. I placed my order over the phone and was extremely happy with the service. I am adding eBags.com in the same stellar category as Newegg.com and Zipzoomfly.com.

Very disappointed - very rude customer service ( I don't think the phone conversation is recorded & that's why the customer service attitude sucks) - be careful when you want to make a return - they charge you 4.99 per item (not per order) even it's their shipping error/mistake - definitely won't buy from them again!!!

I ordered a carry-on bag at a great price. It arrived one week after ordering. They have a great web site. I'm very satisfied and would order again. Note that they have a lot of coupons available so you may want to spend a few minutes to find the best one. I found one for free shipping and 10% off for orders greater than $25.  
 
Update 3/29/06: ebags has just lost my business for life. Instead of simply satisfactorily filling my order as described above, ebags decided to play games and sign me up for a "free" magazine subscription in which I had no interest. I'm quite certain that I checked the box for no magazine subscription and the fact that you have to uncheck a box to avoid this magazine subscription is sleazy at best. Bye-bye ebags.
