I searched for the best price on a camcorder and finally ordered from bestpricecameras.com I ordered the Panasonic PV-GS400 camera. The sales guy calls (my caller ID showed J & K camera) and trys to sell me a battery telling me that it does not come with a battery. I told him to just send me the package from the manufacturer. I knew better. After doing research on J & K Camera, I found they were infinityphoto. After reading reviews in this forum about infinity and after the LIE that the sales clerk told, I began to worry about the purchase. I decided to call and cancel my orders. I had also placed an order for a Nikon VR lens. I have been told that both orders were canceled. Hope this is the end of this! Make sure when you order that you order from a company that you can trust. Peace of mind to me is worth a couple hundred extra. I have since reordered the equipment from another company.

After finding the lowest price for the Panasonic PV-GS150 video camcorder, I ordered the camera & proceeded to wait 9 days without any signs of my camera or email confirmation from Infiniti Photo DBA BestPriceCameras.com stating that it had been sent. I emailed them asking if my order had been sent yet & the next day I got a phone call from the company trying to sell me a $150 battery for my camera. After being told that the camera came with a one-time use only "18 minute" battery, I proceeded to tell the sales rep that I wasn't interested & I just wanted him to send me the camera. He continued to try to sell me the extra battery & would not take no for an answer until I finally told him to cancel the order in which he immediately told me my order was cancelled & hung up on me. Clearly, after realizing that I wasn't going to spend an additional money, he actually was trying to get me to cancel the order. When they say a price is too good to be true...it probably is.

RE: InfinitiPhoto Scam
HI users

I have the same experience from infinitiphone, do not buy anything from them. i ordered a sony dvd403 camorder, and they sent me a email saying that i need to call them, and they told me that it was out of stock, need 2 more weeks.
i ordered the camorder on Oct 3, i called today (Nov 1). The man told me i have to wait 12 to 16 weeks and he told me you waited for 4 weeks already why dont you wait more.
So i cancel the order, and i told him i am going to BBB to complain, he treatened me to charge cancelation fee, but if i dont complain to BBB, he will wavie it. i am going to call my cc company make sure nothing charge on my card by them, then i go to BBB, if you have same happened please complain.

I did some research, but I am not sure is reliable, but this seems like their address and other company information..link below

I tried to purchase a camera from them this morning. Asked if there was any tricks, US warranty, not refurbished, etc. He assured me it was all good. Gave them my credit card, then he said, oh, we take the battery and charger out of the box, would you like to buy them? So for only $300 more, they were going to sell me the included items in the box. An extremely unethical company!

I placed a too-good-to-be-true order from infinitiphoto.com and then became alerted the next morning when their website seemed to have disappeared. I started looking around and found a disconcerting number of fraud reports and reviews for the company (and it's many incarnations) and became worried. I called their customer service line the next morning to check up on my order. Immediately I received the run around, being transfered to dead-end extensions and put on hold. When I finally got somebody to speak to me about my order the first thing he said was that there would be a delay because my shipping address didn't match my billing address. I told him that per the website, the alternate shipping address was listed on my credit card. His next line of attack was to ask me if I wanted a battery and warranty with my order...exactly what I was expecting to hear after reading other reviews. When I told him I wanted exactly what was in the factory sealed box advertised on his site, he responded that there were 7 different boxes made by the manufacturer. I responded that only one was listed on his site, and I wanted exactly what was listed. He said it came with a 16MB SD card, though the website says 32MB. Do I want a warranty? I want the USA warranty advertised on your site. I was flabbergasted at his next accusation. He asked "How many companies have you tried to order this camera from? My records show that you have been trying to order this camera from lots of companies of the past month." I replied "Excuse me? I'm not sure what your accusing me of, but that's just not true." Next, he tells me that he just received a message from his shipping department and the order is back ordered." I was actually glad to hear this has I figured it was my only way out of this crooked deal. I asked him to cancel my order...I think he already had.

I only wish I had found these reviews earlier so I wouldn't feel this foolish. Do not take your chances with these crooks.

Order Nikon Coolpix 8700 for $459 plus a $50 manufacturers rebate, as identified on their website. Told shipment would be on Friday (this was Wednesday). Sent email to call them to confirm address on Sunday. Called them on Monday. They told me that the unit does not come with a battery and they could sell me one for $99 (base model). I told them no thanks I will get it at best buy ($30). They wanted to sell me a warranty, I said no. Then they said that I ordered the Malaysian model and that the U.S. model would be around $200 more. I then cancelled my order. BTW, Nikon did not have a rebate for this model. Bait and Switch, be careful.

FRAUD-FRAUD-FRAUD! BAIT&SWITCH. Called to order CanonSD550 $419. Asked if in stock=yes. Asked if New-In Box=yes. Asked if US Model per Canon Website (vs. import)=yes. Asked how long to receive in California=6-7 days. Placed order. Asked did I want any accessories? Said price was for camera only. Standard $69 for memory + charger etc. Said no - just what comes inside box. Asked if I wanted English version vs. Malaysian (all lang are selectable in bios) and said price for english is $499. Check bbb.org and you'll see they along with most of these Brooklyn, NY based boilerrooms are classic bait and switch. PLS. REPORT THEM TO BBB AND TO ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE AS THEY GIVE LEGIT BUSINESS A BAD RAP.

I placed an order at this store for a camera that they listed in stock. A few days (and many unanswered emails later), they said the camera was backordered with a 2 to 3 week delay. They had advertised this camera as in stock and ready to ship. I ended up having to cancel the order, because they would not respond to my contact efforts.

Absolutely the worst experience ever. No shipment after 5 business days. When I finally talked to a person the upsell began trying to convince me that there was no mfg warranty and I needed an extended warranty which implies that there is one to extend...double talk. suddenly shipping went from $60 to $160. Ridiculous outfit!

I saw their prices at www.streetprices.com and it was too good to be true. Unfortunately, I've made an order for a 50 inch TV. The salesguy name is Mark, and he was very pushy. I ended up having to buy an extra $299 1 year warranty and the shipping was going to be $300!. After realizing this I called within a couple minutes after my confirmation to cancelled the order. The guy was pissed off and told me that they will charge me 10% percent of the transaction for an order that will not be ship 7-10 days. I was feeling sick to my stomach after see this website and read other people's reviews. Mark said I needed to reply to his email stating that I cancelled my order and agree to the 10 percent charge. I said I already called my credit company and block the transactions. DO NOT ORDER FROM Infinity Cameras, they are very scary! Check out the Photos of their store on one of the review in this site. It is not an actual store. It looks like a storage place.

I have placed an order for a Canon Digital Rebel for a price which looked too good to be true.
I received an email confirming my order within an hour. A day later I received another email to call in for "confirmation", which I did, but I was ready to resist any sale pressure. I was told to ask for "David" and David told me that the camera is in stock, but it comes with only one battery, and I need a memory card, etc etc. when declined all his offers, he told me that the camera was not in stock and it will take 2-3 weeks to get it. I told him I will wait.
A week later I called to check on the status and again I was told it will be 2-3 weeks, and at that point I asked him to cancel my order, which he did, and I received an email to that effect.

By coincidence, my credit card was ripped off and someone racked up a few thousands of dollars before the credit card company blocked the card. I do not have any proof that infinity cameras was behind it...

I did some research on the outfit and Infinity camera, VIP camera, Best Price camera, and Mr. Accessory, are all by the same owner, Joey Saideh, 1938 McDonald Av Brooklyn, NY. blbl@aol.com (917)803-2223

Never again...

On 19 November 2004 I came across InfinityCamera.com site and looks like they had some great deals, the site said to call for the best price, so I called 800-593-0026 and talked to Kevin, I told him I wanted to purchase the Nikon D70 Holiday Package #5, he proceeded to sell me items that were already included in the D70 package, such as the charger, battery and strap, he charged me $200 for the charger, $100 for the battery and $30 for the strap, then he said I need two lense hoods, so he sold me two for $50 each and 2 sets of high resolution filter kits, $150 each and I also ordered a faster memory card for $150. I received the shipment on the 24th of November, I soon realized I didnt need the lense hoods because professional quality ones were included with the lenses, the lense hoods I paid $50 for were $2 Tiawan specials, and they forgot to send one of them. the high resolution filter kits were also very poor quality Tiawan specials, and only one set fit, they sent the wrong size for one set, the set they sent were delaminated(peeling)they also did not send the original flash card, and I paid $100 for a 5 year warranty put they didnt send any warranty either. I emailed them with my discrepencies, no reply, waited 3 days, emailed them again, no reply, called them, talked to Kevin, this was a different Kevin that sold me the stuff, this Kevin was the manager, he was very rude and agumenatative, he claimed all the extra items I purchased fell under the package deal so he would only give me a $100 refund for the $300 filter sets, and he would only give me $40 refund for the $100 worth of lense hoods and he claimed he didnt owe me a memory card, and he would not refund my warranty, he claimed it was in the mail. This is the most corrupt organization I have ever dealt with, I have filed a complaint with the New York Better Business Bureau, http://www.newyork.bbb.org I think everyone that has a problem with this crooked organization should file a complaint with the BBB, So far I have convinced two friends to cancel there orders with InfinityCamera.com, this is a Bad Company...

A classic scamster!!! They advertize a low price... talk very rudely when you call. List the product (Canon ZR85 Camcorder) as In-Stock but when I call to confirm my order the person tells me about some accessories and warranty that are good and that I should buy. And, when I refuse the add-ons... lo and behold they are suddenly out of stock and won't have the product for another 3 weeks! It's not hard to imagine why they do this... the margins are in the non-branded accessories they sell!!!

I will be staying away from these people and would caution anyone who wants to buy anything from them to just try buying the main product without the suggested accessories... and you'll understand what I mean.

I purchased my camera (Sony DSC-F828) from these guys because without question, they had the lowest price ($589 pre-tax). I bought the camera on a Saturday; Monday I received a phone call stating that the camera was on backorder and would take 3-5 weeks.

I got back to them two days later. I was frustrated with the delay, because I wanted the camera for my son's birthday party that Saturday. When I talked to them, the salesperson immediately began to describe to me the "upgrade". It seems that the kit that I bought (which no other reseller seems to have) is a "body" kit, which contains only a "20 minute battery", etc.

I caught on immediately. After the "upgrade" to the "standard" kit that Sony sells (which Infinity Camera called a "starter kit"), as well as a lens pack for $250, the camera shipped in two days. Surprise.

Let the buyer beware; you can get pretty decent pricing from these guys, but their advertised price is NOT what you'll be paying. All told I am still pleased with the price, but not nearly so much as I was prior to the switch.

I contacted Sony. FYI, NO "barebones" kit exists. They don't make a "20 minute" battery. And Infinity Camera is not a direct reseller, they go through a second party.

I believe this to be a bait and switch, though, and will be contacting the authorities in New York as well as the better business bureau.

Good luck.....
