Very dishonest. Tries to rip people off. Sends RMA # in email with no mentioning of hidden charges and fee. The refund that I finally got was less than 50% of original price.

FINAL UPDATE - After all this time, and after all this trouble, I learned that the video card we ordered USUALLY comes with a 15-pin VGA plug built-in, but some cheap versions might not, and they sell the cheap kind. Because of that, their card uses an adapter, and it causes 3D corruption. This was tested with 2 different cards and different adapters. We finally decided to return our second card and get our money back, and their policy is to charge a 15% restocking fee, plus an additional $6 if shipping was free when you bought it! They charge you all that money just to return THEIR defective products! A phone representative offered to break from the norm and send a shipping label, which they should have done the first time. After all this time and trouble, we STILL do not have a working computer thanks to GameVE, and are going to buy a different video card elsewhere. The whole experience has been so very bad that I finally filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. GameVE has been a huge disappointment. UPDATE - we finally received the video card, but they didn't include the adapter to plug it into a normal monitor! Now we have to wait for an adapter to be sent before we can use the replacement card, because we included everything when we returned it. They gave us only a card back, not the retail package we originally ordered. - My friend and I are extremely displeased with GameVE's service. The video card we ordered turned out to be defective. Upon requesting an RMA number, we were NOT offered a shipping label, and paid MORE MONEY to send it back to GameVE. Once GameVE had the video card back, they took a LONG TIME to do anything, until I personally placed a phone call to the company, in which I was told the card would not be shipped until the following week. However, for some reason I received an email later that day that the new card would be shipped the next day. That was yesterday, so of course the card is still not here, and my friend has been without a computer system for weeks. We are very, very unhappy with GameVE, and will submit a negative review to PriceWatch.com as well. The price was more than we wanted to pay in the end, because of the extra shipping costs to return GameVE's defective product. Our time has been wasted, and continues to be, until we receive a new card. If the next card is also defective, we will seek a refund. This review was modified by its author, lusono, on

I was sent the wrong part. They did not answer emails for 3 days. They did not include rebate form as promised. They will not pay for return shipping of the wrong part.
Very poor customer service. Most emails, although not signed. seem to be answered by a different person each time who did not check to see what the other person had previously written even though all correspondence was included in the email replies.

Was very disappointed with speed of shipment. Ordered something at 6:00PM Wednesday night. Put a rush order on it so that it would ship Thursday, also did Fedex overnight because I wanted it on Friday. Two days later you shipped my "rush" order. This reduced the 30 dollars I paid for overnight shipping to money pissed away because you guys couldn't handle a rush order in 24 hours. I am very disappointed in speed of service. Customer service was very polite and did refund my rush order fee, I still wasted 30 dollars on overnight shipping that won't arrive until monday(three days later) because of you warehouse. It would be nice to see you refund my shipping costs since it was your fault the money got wasted.

This is an oldie but goody here. this happened in late 03 but Resellerratings wont let you post past 04. Without a doubt the most awful customer service I have ever seen. My GF ordered me a Sapphire 9800 Retail, they shipped out an OEM.
Well we ship it back to them, then they shipped out the correct item, and fedex lost the damned package(not gameve's fault). Fedex supposedly found it, shipped it to my GF, and it was 10 9600 PRO's. My GF called Gameve, and they said to just keep the cards and sell them. Well she called back later and Lawrence quickly said it was a mix up and that they mistakenly sent out 10 9600 pros to us, and that we should ship the cards directly back to them. I called them up and He said that he never told my GF that, hmm, funny, I guess she made it up.
Well we saw right through him , and said screw that and ended up having fedex pick them up and sort it out themselves, and Gameve ended up just giving us a refund. Such lies and looking to make a quick buck. I was thinking of giving them a second chance, but it looks like not much has changed.

I ordered a Leadtek Winfast A350XT TDH FX5900XT
128mb RETAIL card to send to a friend. First, the wrong card was shipped (WinFast A350TDH instead of WinFast A350XT TDH). I didn't realize this before sending it to the friend, who subsequently noticed, but tried it anyway. The card did not work in any of the 4 PC's he tried (he's a computer professional). When I explained all this to Gameve's customer service and attempted to get an address to which to send the card, I got rather offensive responses, and no address information. Their Web return information did give return authorization numbers, but absolutely no information on where to send the return. In general, this experience ranks pretty much at the bottom of all on or off-line shopping I've done. At this point I'm stuck with a $200 card that I didn't want and doesn't work.

IF YOU CAN FIND US IN RESELLER RATINGS, WE SHOULD SEE OUR ADDRESS IN THIS SITE TO SEND BACK THE CARD. AS LONG AS YOU GOT A RMA NUMBER, YOU WILL TAKE CARE OF IT FOR YOU. |

Great pricing, terrible customer service. Take a look at thier bbb rating of F. Its under American Research Corporation. Look at how they belittle the customers with rude comments in all caps. Is that how you want to be treated as a paying customer?

Order#: 142010; ASUS motherboard P4C800 Deluxe.
Retailer: GameVE.com
!All motherboards received were professionally inspected, installed, troubleshot and diagnosed!
Very fast *free* shipping. I received my product four days after it was ordered.
The board had a bad AGP slot and I had to pay return charges (as stated in gameve.com policy). The replacement received a couple weeks later, It too was bad (overclocking/ booting errors with default settings). Again, I had to pay for return shipping as stated in their policy (as they reminded me).
All refunds may be made 30 days after the purchase date (as stated in their policy). However, my second motherboard had to be returned within 30 days of the original purchase date (about 3 and a half weeks before the second mobo was received) or they would not allow a refund (as stated in their policy).
If I had chosen a third replacement ASUS motherboard I would not have been eligible for a refund. Gameve.com 30 day warranty does not get extended for replacement merchandise, but does compensate for shipping as long as you get your ‘refund RMA#’ before the 30 days is up.
I had to get a refund before the end of the 30 day period or I could have been stuck in a RMA loop for another month over a ‘budget’ mobo.
By the time it was all over and done with, for a $162 mobo it cost me about $55 to get my money back (with return shipping charges, 15% restocking fees, *free* shipping, etc).
Customer service was no help. They were unwilling to give me any kind of slack even though they gave me faulty merchandise again and again. Not even a coupon or store credit. My big beef was with ASUS and not Gameve.com, but it was Gameve.com that had my money and kept giving me bad mobo’s left and right.
I did mention to them that their “secure credit” company ‘Verisign’ license expired and had been for eight and a half months to current, 02/17/05, they were notified by me over a week ago. No action taken by Gameve.com yet.
A link to their current Verisign status can be found on GameVE.com’s website under “RMA/ Order Status”. The link is ironically under the “You’re safe and secure” statement. (as of 2/17/05)
‘C’ rate company with a ‘C’ rate business ethic. Would not recommend Gameve.com to anyone who appreciates the value of money and time.

If I can say this, GameVE sucks. They won't answer email if you have an issue. On the phone, they don't want to know about the problem. Bought x800 Pro video card, not cheap. It was packed in styrofoam peanuts! The static probably fried the board. Anyway, it was defective. 14 days later, I still have not received a replacement! I used UPS 2-day ($30!) to return the bad vid card, hoping to get it back faster. Fat chance. These guys are morons. If you get lucky on your product, then good for you. But if you're ordering, pray you don't need an RMA! Better yet, buy elsewhere! [Update] I received the new board, this time they sent me a repack! How do I know? The box serial number is different from the video card’s!! Now, I’m so ticked I’m not dealing with GameVE anymore. I write MSI, and explain everything. Now it’s 33 days after my purchase, and I finally received the new video card. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE MORONS! This review was modified by its author, martyr2, on

AWARE!!!!!!!! ON THIS GUY!! MR. MARTIN ROMANCHUK!!! HE BOUGHT THE MSI X800 PRO 256MB PCI EXPRESS! ANYONE WHO BOUGHT MSI RETAIL VIDEO CARD WOULD KNOW THAT MSI HAS THE BIGGEST RETAIL BOX AMONG OTHER MANUFACTURE. HOW CAN THE STATIS FRIED YOUR VIDEO CARD? STYROFOAM PEANUTS WERE PUT OUTSIDE THE RETAIL BOX, NOT HAVE ANY CONTACT WITH THE VIDEO CARD INSIDE! FOR WHATEVER REASON, THE CARD IS DEFECTIVE, SIMPLE, REQUEST RMA AND SEND IT BACK! YOU REQUESTED RMA ON 02/06/05, WE RECEIVED IT ON 02/09/05, WE SHIPPED YOU A BRAND NEW ONE ON 02/10/05 BY FEDEX, YOU RECEIVED ON 02/14/05. WHO IS MORON HERE? WE HATE TO SEE CUSTOMER ABUSE THIS WEBSITE, THIS WEBSITE IS NOT FOR LIERS!!!!!! |

Their customer service was horrid. Not only wouldn't they return my emails, but upon finnally processing my RMA they did not return all of the item to me. When I called them about the missing portion of my purchase they were no help to me, and said they would get back to me which they never did.
Update: 2/23/04 The product return procedure as writen in GameVE's return policy states clearly, "Customer agrees that all returned proucts will be 100% complete, in re-saleable condition, and will include the original packaging material, manuals, blank warranty cards, and other accesories provided by the manufacturer. If any component of the returned product is missing, GameVe.com's Return Procedure will be breached and GameVE.com will reject the entire return or may choose to impose additional charges against the customer for replacement of the missing component. ON THE RMA POLICY, WE STATED SO LOUD AND CLEAR THAT " DO NOT RETURN ANY ACCESSORIES, ONLY THE DEFECTIVE PART". YOU DID SOMETHING YOU NOT SUPPOSED TO AND NOW YOU BLAMED ON US FOR YOUR MISSING STUFF. WE SAID WE WILL TRY TO REQUEST FROM ABIT FOR HIM, BUT BEFORE WE GET AN ANSWER, THIS GUY IS POSTING THIS COMMENT, OH WELL, FORGET YOU THEN, WE DO NOT HAVE OBLIGATION TO GET THE ACCESSORIES FOR YOU. |

Speakers arrived non-functional.
Cost to ship back is 2/3rds the cost of the speakers, (for my children's PC). GAMEVE said its also just as likely that the 2nd set they would send me would also be non-functional. It was pretty obvious they just wanted me to go away. They already got my money. Stay away from this store!

I called the customer service number and person on the other end was a joke. He could barely speak english, and sounded like he was reading off pre-written responses. It was like I was talking to an answering machine. The customer service rep was not helpful whatsoever in resolving my issue. This was my first time dealing with GameVE and I am extremely disappointed.

The DVD-RW drive that I bought from Gameve.com did not work. I was told that I had to ship it back at my cost in order to get a replacement according to their policy. That policy will cost them from getting any of my business again! This review was modified by its author, cf7977, on

Returned early December due to motherboard problems. two weeks went by and still no return shippment. Called and said that they had to retun to Manufacturer because they were out of stock. Another two to three weeks go by and finally I recieve an e-mail saying it has been shipped back to me. I have not yet recieved but it was just shipped. Has been a month and a half and no running computer. I just hope when I recieve this one there is no problems with it. Should have asked for a refund instead of an RMA!
