I did not get positive emotions from this company at all. I have ordered a camera 1,2 weeks ago already and till now it have not received. And it is a gift for birthday of my little brother. I called to the TriState and have received disgusting and unprofesional custome service + they promise that they will receive my camera today or tomorrow and it throughout already 4 days. Well, possibly I should find other gift because I am not assured when I will receive the order. I'll never oder there again.

I have ordered from TriState before and always received good prices, fast shipping and excellent communication. This experience was no different. I ordered a Nikon SB-900, was notified with tracking number the next day and received it in 3 days - all with free shipping and the best price by at least a $20 margin.

Very comfortable experience.
Only odd thing was, they sent me email to call them. I was expecting some sales call, but he just made sure that I was looking for Nikon lens. In way that was a good idea.

Store emailed me, after I placed the order, to call them. When I called them back, they wanted to upsell a memory card (I already had one so didn't need it), else camera would probably have shipped within 24hrs. The salesman I spoke to assured me the camera would ship that day, it didn't. The camera shipped within 48 hrs, and arrived well packed and complete.
No order tracking information on the website, but once the camera shipped, I got the UPS tracking data.
Description of the camera was good, no surprises.
I am very happy with my purchase, the price was great, so I would be happy to order from them again.
The 'Bill me later' feature worked well.
Just make sure you reply to the upselling e-mail quickly else it might delay shipping. This review was modified by its author, Andrew72653, on

Thanks TriState! This particular Canon camera was not available anywhere in AZ so I was thrilled to receive it from you in excellent condition. Additional thanks to your customer service rep. for helping me add a necessary storage disk to my order. Five Stars for you!

fast service and I received what I ordered without hassle and exactly like I ordered it. Oh... and the fact that Tristate Camera offered the lowest online price helped too.

I had ordered the wrong lens online and made a quick call to Tristate the next morning to correct. Tristate was very helpful on the phone and corrected my order quickly. The only issue I had with them is that I had paid for 3 day select shipping and my item was sent UPS ground which would have been free with my purchase. I called their customer service and was told that it would be there in 3 days shipping time excluding the labor day weekend holiday. Per UPS the item was shipped ground not 3 day select. $12.00 is not much but I did not receive the shipping I paid for.
Other than that the item was exactly as advertised and their customer service was very helpful except for the shipping.

I disliked that the shipping charges are not shown until the second to last step.
I disliked that I received an email requesting that I call them about my order. I called and they just wanted to sell me UPS shipping for an extra $10 and sell me filters for the lens I ordered. A delay just to cross-sell and upsell is unacceptable.
The only positive was the lens price although the price saving is partly offset by $20 S&H on a small $100 lens. Grossly inflated S&H charges is an underhanded tactic.

Garmin Nuvi 1300 - Easy to set up and use right out of the box. Lots of cool features such as POIs and MPH while driving. Cool cars in the Garmin Garage. Garmins are the best!!

After I ordered the product, they called the next day to offer an extended warranty on the lens I ordered. They quoted $99.95 for 4 years. When I received my updated invoice with the product, I noticed I was charged $116.95 for a 3 year warranty. I emailed their sales email address and the email address of the salesperson that told me a warranty was added. Both of these emails went completely unanswered (3 weeks to date). I called the following week and finally agreed to a price correction of $99.95 for 3 years, which is still a year less than quoted, but was acceptable to me. It is now 2 weeks later and I still have not received a credit on my account. When you call them, plan on spending 30 minutes on hold and talking to 5 different people before you find "the right person."
Also, shipping information was never entered so I was unable to track my order.
Garbage customer service from a shady company.
I have spent thousands of dollars on camera equipment... all online. I understand mistakes do happen, however these are not mistakes. These are bad business practices!
STAY AWAY! Order from B&H, Cameta, or Adorama instead!

My experience with TriState Camera was very positive. They offered a good price, free shipping for my item, and a break from sales tax (three reasons I'm an internet shopper). I actually ordered the same item twice (Hoover vacuum), one for my mother and one for myself.

Tri State was great they reviewed the order and contacted me to recommend a battery upgrade and explained why. It only cost a few more dollars and makes a big difference. The cost and courtesy they showed will make Tri State my first choice for camera related purchases.
