Horrible communication between customer and sales staff. Despite me sending the correct billing information 4 times they still would not enter it correctly. They left out my middle initial, which is required for my credit card. For some reason, despite me telling them they left it out, they continued to do so.
I also asked on their forums about this and the moderators said such questions would not be tolerated and deleted the message shorly after. Calling them resulted in nothing but the retched squeal of a fax machine. Today I cancelled my order. I needed the parts I ordered and they did not deliver, not due to lack of stock, but due to sheer incompetence.
In Reply to response: I e-mailed them the billing address those times...it had NOTHING to do with their post form. Like I said, the same billing information has been used multiple times at other online retailers without a single problem. This review was modified by its author, mrcandyman, on

We're sorry to hear about your experience mrcandyman.
To clarify a few points:
All orders are placed online, therefore you would have left out your middle initial, not Vibe staff. However, this was not the problem with your order.
The information you provided on your order did not match the information on your credit card, and therefore we were unable to further process your order until the correct information was submitted. Since we never received your complete billing address, we could not take further action.
Most customers appreciate the extra steps we take to ensure accuracy of their information which help combat credit card fraud.
With regards to the phone problem, perhaps you dialed the wrong number - our sales staff answer phones during our office hours, and should all of our lines be busy you would reach our mail box.
Regards,

Originally I was quite happy with this company, but things have drastically changed.
At first my only gripe was that order processing was a tad slow. My first order was place on a Friday evening and was shipped the following Tuesday, but I was in no huge rush.
My second order (placed Feb.5) took a full week to be shipped (shipped Feb.12)! A backordered item had held it up. Vibe only made 1 attempt in that week to contact me about this and even then did not leave any messages regarding said backorder. I finally reached them (again, 1 week later) with a phone call (long-distance) and had them release the items that were in stock.
The order was delivered to me 2 business days later (pretty good for Canada Post ground). The big problem now is that it's Mar.5th and I'm still waiting for my backordered item.
Yeah, they're pricing is excellent and they have a good selection of products but I rate their customer service as a -5! They are very difficult to get hold of and can take days to ship your order. I've been waiting for over 4 weeks now for that last item.
Feel free to purchase from them just so long as the product is in stock and you're willing to deal with crappy customer service reps.
I've read that RMA's with Vibe can be a also nightmare but can't speak from experience on that.

I originally placed an order at the beginning of July with Vibecomputers.com. I called them up ahead of time to clarify if they could get certain special order items, namely a Supermicro 742i-450 low noise Tower case and a 9cm Low noise hot swap fan. I also tacked on other items to this order:
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB
Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum EX
Abit IC7-G Max 2 Advance
WD 7200 80GB SE
P4 3.0C
4 x Vantec Aluminum HDD fans
Floppy Drive
I made it clear that if I could not get all these parts together from Vibecomputers that I would not be placing the order since it would cost more piecing it out to multiple vendors. They agreed, but, stated that I would probably have to wait a couple of days for the Supermicro items to arrive at their warehouse since they were special order. I spoke to them on the Thursday and they said if I placed my order on the Friday it would go out on the following Monday. It went out Tuesday or Wednesday or so; no biggie.
When I received the shipment I discovered the next day that they had shipped me the incorrect case: 742i-420 NOT low noise. I called Vibecomputers up and they appologized. Over the course of 2 weeks, in the midst of constant emails and telephone calls, they sat on the fence on whether they should order the differing parts and have them sent to me or ship me the entire case and have me return the incorrect one. After they had me hunt around for part numbers (which in my case I didn't mind doing since I didn't trust them to do it right themselves), I gave them the cost for what it would be to have them shipped directly from Supermicro in San Fransisco to myself in Toronto. The total was around $200 CAD. Then they gave me this story that they'd be unable to obtain these parts in Canada. They also told me that they'd be unable to obtain the case. I told them I spoke with Supermicro who said that was BS and that it could be ordered directly from them, so they decided to send me the entire case. They told me "the case is enroute directly from Supermicro". Well, actually it was directly enroute from Supermicro to their warehouse in Vancouver. I wouldn't see the case for another 2 weeks. It had been a month at this point since I first placed the order.
After receiving the proper case and assembling it to make sure it worked, I noticed that the extra fan I had purchased was different from what I should have gotten (the extra fan was supposed to match the fan which comes with the proper case - low noise). I contacted them again, by phone and by email, numerous times. It's now September, over 2 months since I first placed the order, and they keep beatin around the bush. They tell me again that the part I'm looking for isn't available in Canada, which I know is BS because other vendors sell it and it's also available directly from Supermicro. I still have the incorrect case which is worth $200. I'm waiting to ship this back after they correct and complete my order. Now they're telling me that they won't be taking any action until they receive this case.
No $@#$in way.
I'm not going to accept a refund at this point. I initially told them that they would have to sell me all the parts I was looking for or none at all. Since I can't take apart the computers which are using the other parts I ordered, I'm not going to be sending them back, and I'm not going to accept a refund since it would cost me more in the end to get the part from somewhere else - which would have defeated the purpose of my ordering any of these parts from Vancouver when I could have gotten them from Directdial in Ontario. The only thing I'm going to accept is for them to either order the part directly from Supermicro or from another dealer (anywhere in North America - I don't care, it's not my concern) and send it to me.
Every claim they made I checked out with Supermicro, who tells me that "not being able find the parts in question in Canada" is complete BS.
If you ask me, what they intended was to promise me the special order parts so that I'd place the rest of the order, ship the incorrect cheaper case and fan thinking I wouldn't notice, and then try to take the cheaper way out by refunding me for the parts they didn't ship me.
But, that's just my negative (or realistic) interpretation of it.
EDIT -
Well they just charged $374.50 to my Visa account without authorization.

Thier prices are good.
But, their shipping is very long. (4x than ncix)
Shipping options are good, payment ones too.
But, their return policy is lacking. I've only had one problem but it's been big enough to hold of an order which due to their lack of getting back to me i've ordered from NCIX, their loss.
My last order was on Nov 29th/04. I recieved the order 2 weeks later, which is normal trust me i've made about $4k+ worth of orders in the past year. I picked it up on the 12th, heard like a rattling inside the box so I opened the box and the RAM wasn't sitting in it's plastic container right and there was a chip bouncing around inside. I opened the plastic container to see where the chip came from went to Vibe's site and it was down for repairs or something. The whole point of shopping there is to save money so I didn't call also with with me being on afternoons i'd be at work when they opened. I finally emailed them once I knew their site was up. No response. Couple days later I emailed again. 3 days later a response. By this time it's into the holidays. They asked for my purolator invoice #. sent an email, resposne 2 days later, this one asked if I opened the box and for my mailing info, replied next day got another response asking if the box looked damaged said no. They either said in an email or on the phone that an email would be sent on how to RMA something. That never came. I called and the guy sent one right away. So i sent the ram back the way i was supposed to this was january 5th. They tried Corsairs warranty no lcuk, tried purolator no luck. Last time I called was tuesday they asked for my return invoice, was in the car, tried calling back no answer left a mesage with phoine # (like they ask) no reply, tried in 1/2hr intervals no answer. Called yesterday about 5 times and today twice. No answer and still no reply. Today's the 27th.
Update:
Got an email February 3rd, they tried Corsair again after trying purolator for the insurance. Corair came good on the part although it wasn't their fault and a new stick got sent out. Should be here late next week/early week after. This review was modified by its author, WeaZel26, on

I've ordered five items from Vibe, and I used the pricematch system for some of them. After a week, I finally saw my order being shipped, and all of my pricematch accepted. Few days later, I finally recieved my order.
Everything was ok except for a floppy drive, they've shipped the wrong color (white instead of black). I've asked and received my RMA number, and shipped back the drive to them at my charge.
A week after they received my drive, I saw an exception in the RMA status page, the shipping back address was not provided. I immediately sended an email to them to give my address for the drive to be ship. They told me that they will update the address. 2 weeks later, my RMA staus page dissapear, and no trce of the evolution of the RMA. I've sended another email, they told me that they where sorry and that my drive should be shipped soon. 2 weeks later, I wrote to them to get information about the situation, and they told me that if I havent use my RMA number under the 2 weeks, I got to ask for another one.....
Finally, the next try have been succesfull, they told me that they would ship my drive the same day, and it looks like they finally stood by they words.
So I finally received the black floppy drive that was originally ordered on the 20 of june, the first week of september....

It took longer than usual for this vendor to process and ship my order. I placed my order on April 13th with a cash payment and the item didn’t ship until the 20th. And that was only after I made a phone call asking about the status of my order. The item was marked as “Usually ships within 24 hours.”

I've only ordered from Vibe twice. The first time I got a Radeon 9800 Pro. Their prices are very good and they give quick responses to questions but when I got my card it was not exactly the same as shown in the picture on the website. This was only a minor complaint. I ended up having to return the card due to a compatibility problem and I was charged a restocking fee despite the fact that I filled out an RMA form to return it.
Just this month (after I had upgraded most of my PC again) I ordered a Radeon 9800. I asked them to check and make sure the card had Samsung RAM on it and they did check to make sure before sending. Shipping was fast and I am extremely satisfied with the product. However, I did not realize they charged me a "non-cash" fee of $11 CDN. I assume this is because I used a credit card. Suffice to say this left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth because they did not disclose this charge to me up front. So I will be contacting them and request a refund for that amount. I just don't feel it is right to charge someone extra for using a credit card. That is how the vast majority of internet orders are handled and its just not right. As far as I know, *edit_out* does not do this.

We're sorry to hear that your expectations were not met CaptainCrazy701.
On the bottom of every page on our website is the following:
All prices are listed in Canadian dollars, and 3% discounted for Cash, Money Order and Direct Deposit payment.
This charge is also stated on our F.A.Q. page, and displayed on your order confirmation page before you submit the order.
We have no hidden charges, and are up front about all pricing practices. I hope this clears things up! |

I ordered a Nexus Fan Controller and a Cold Cathode UV Fan from Vibe. I was attracted to them because of their prices: which were cheaper then anything I could find in Ontario.
Once the order was placed, I noticed that it took more then a couple of days for the order to be processed, let alone shipped. Once it was shipped it took another 8 business days to arrive, which means it took about 10 days to arrive.
Once my order had arrived, I opened it to discover that they had sent me a Cold Cathode version, not the UV that I had requested. I e-mailed them back to report the mix-up, but never received a reply. I decided not to pursue the matter due to its triviality, but never the less I wasn't satisfied.
I will most likely not order from them again.
Edit:
2 Days after I posted this review, I was contacted by Vibe Computers by phone. A very polite man on the other end offered to send me my UV Cold Cathode Fan the next day, free of charge, even though my original order had been over 4months ago.
I was absolutely blown away, I never expecting anything of the sort. This experience has completely changed my mind on Vibe Computers. It is very likely that I will order from them in the future.
Thanks Again Vibe

I just ordered around $670 worth or stuff from vibe yesterday. $506 is for my families new pc and $141.63 was misc peripherals for my pc. Vibe is a good place to buy when you buy a lot and live out of the Province. This is also the first price match I submited (7 of the 12 items orderd) I place these price matches because my dad wants to spend under $800 canadian (so far @$700 if vibe matches everything) I hope they price match but regardless I have bought all my PC components from them in the past and they were awsome no problems.

Vibe Computers is the best on-line reseller I've found in Canada. They have a great selection of parts and their prices are top notch overall. I've ordered a video card from them as well as several parts for my new system. Their service is prompt and their packaging is immaculate.
I do have one issue, though. I had entered price matching information in the specified fields during the checkout process. Somehow, the information didn't get through. When they had sent me an e-mail, notifying me of the order's process completion, I was curious. Why? Because according to their price matching guidelines, I would be told whether or not the price matching qualified. The e-mail that was sent to me made no mention of my price matching. So I e-mailed their sales department and inquired further. Basically, it came down to the fact that a price match had to be entered during the time of the sale. I totally understand that customers may find lower prices much after the fact of the sale but I had sent their sales department an e-mail about 5 hours after I received their confirmation e-mail. I was told that price match information had to be entered at the time of the order placement. I did that and it was either a glitch in the system or something that I did wrong but they didn't receive the info. I did get a $10.00 credit instead of the roughly $25.00 price matching in total, and I'm happy with that. Many places wouldn't make any sort of compromising offer. However, two things irked me about the situation: a) I did notice that a similar situation occurred in December of last year and basically the customer was given a second chance for the price match request. b) I did contact them fairly soon after their e-mail confirmation so I would've thought that I could've received similar service.
Again, Vibe is a great store from my experience so far. I just wished that I could've received the same leniency as another customer who was in the same boat. The sales rep that I was dealing with was only doing his job and I don't hold that against him. My order was roughly $700.00, though, so a potential price matching of $25.00 isn't that much to consider if it means making an even better impression on a customer. I highly recommend Vibe and if you want to price match, be VERY careful to put in the info during checkout.

Purchased a thermaltake heatsink for my A64 since they had the lowest price in Canada, and I also bought article silver.
It took a week and a half to receive it, which is normal delivery I guess.
I would buy from them again if they had a good price and I wasn't in any special hurry.

Have made two purchases from them in the past. Great company; good service, good price, reviews for the products are on their site. And they ship things for a reasonable price.
