Well i ordered a bunch of LED lights from this site thinking that it was great idea because it was so cheap. But everything costs something. What i saved money wise they more then made up for with agrivation. I placed my order 2 weeks ago today and did not find out that my items were on back order until days after they should have arrived at my door. I have been told 2 other time frames that the lights were suppose to be in and in both cases, what the told me was not true. The most agrivating part was that NO WHERE on thier website do they mention that they are out of this item at this time. Even at this very moment, i still have no word as to when my lights are comming and it STILL doesnt say that they are out of them on thier web site. The only reason ive put up with this garbage is becasue of the great price i got these for. I for one wont be using case-mods.com again anytime soon.  
 
**UPDATE**  
well after over 2 weeks of waiting the owner called me lastnight to basicly tell me all the reasons why this wasnt thier fault, and kept pushing that i cancel my order. What kind of business owner tries to get his customers to cancel thier orders!? Not to mention he was QUITE rude on the phone with me. I initially didnt want to cancel my order becuase of the good prices i was able to get. But now ive found another place that actaully keeps things in stock, and doesnt give thier customers one excuse after another. The owner actaully told me that because of the size of my order it "wasnt worth it" to get on thier suppliers to get the lights in. Not worth it!? If a store owner told you that your business wasnt worth it would you ever shop there again? I know i sure wouldnt. That is a really pathetic way to do business, esspecialy since they ARE out of stock, im obviously not the only person who orders them. So i just canceled my order with case-mods.com and my only regret was that i didnt find this other site sooner and avoid the WHOLE sittuation. Not to mention the recent emails i sent them went ignored till i got pissy and the owner had to call me to make excuses. This has been the WORST experiance ive ever had with ordering products online. There is no way i could recomment case-mods.com to anyone who hopes to get thier items even remotely soon. And if your items happen to be on back order (which you might not even KNOW till its too late) then GOOD LUCK getting them. Not to mention all the "policies" i was informed of over the phone that cant be found ANYWHERE on the site. Wouldnt you think that a policy stating that if an item is out of stock for 5+ days then the order is canceled automaticly would be something that a customer should know!? Case-mods.com doesnt seem to think so. Case-mods.com seems to me to be a very unproffesional business that either doesnt care, or simply cant handle as much business as they get. When something goes wrong, all they do is blame someone else, so there really is no hope of getting things done. If everything was in stock and no problems came up then it all would have probably gone smoothly, but after talking to the owner, he doesnt seem like the kind of person who can handle problems very well at all. So the second you get an email about a problem (hell i never even got THAT! What wonderful customer service...) watch out cause your in for one hell of a time dealing with these people.

This company i ordered from mailed the wrong product to my house and did not appolgize for there error. then i asked if when they got the product back, if they could mail me back the right product back though next day air so i will have it back as soon as i can. They replyed no. they will send it out ground mail,making me wait an eternity for my actual product to get to me.  
I will never do business with this company again.

Will never order from again. Placed order on 2/23, today is 2/28. No email on order status, no shipping options besides airborn express, No customer service, payed for 2nd day delivery, its already been 5 days with no response from them at all.

I placed my order on the 24th of February. I placed the order in the morning. I attempted to call Case-Mod.com on several occasions on Monday, but no one answered the phone. On Tuesday, the 25th of February, I checked my online order status, and it said that I was still in "processing". I again attempted to call on several occasions throughout the day, but again, no one answered the phone. On Wednesday, February 26th, my online status was still "processing". My phone calls went unanswered until 2:00pm central time. When they finaly answered the phone they told me that they were catching up from this weekend. The person who answered the phone was less then professional, in fact, he wasn't even aware that it was Wednesday. I was informed that my order would ship today, we'll see, and I'll edit this statement to reflect what the outcome of this encounter is. *** UPDATE *** As of Wednesday night, February 26th, my online account status page shows my order has shipped, but I have as yet to receive an e-mail or a tracking number. I was told that I would recieve these two things as soon as the order is shipped. I will not be ordering from this store again.

One false promise after another. Said it would ship tomorrow, or we will get it there, or no problem we have it stock...all lies. made these promises 3 times, not once did they come true. Don't believe the hype. They have good products, just hope you don't want it any time soon. I paid for 2 day shipping like a moron, I received my stuff almost two weeks later. No lies.

I would not purchase from these guys again. The experience was not totally bad, it was ok, but there are some issues. First, I ordered from them because they were close, and I needed the parts fast. They are in Fremont, CA, I'm in San Diego. So I ordered, and they shipped the next day. So far so good. What happens next is more or less Airborne Express' fault. Again, we are both in California, but my package is in Wilmington, ID. Processing for a few days. WTF? Knowing it is not Case-mod's fault, I sent them a nice email asking them to contact Airborne and see what is going on, and possibly having Airborne refund some money, back to me. I'm an easy going person and would have not cared if they didn't do anything, but I would have liked a reply. I never got any reply. I've ordered many times from many vendors, and have never been stiffed like that. At least a "We're sorry, but we can't do anything about it" would have sufficed. I still wouldn't have cared but when I finally got my package, about 4 days after I really needed it, it comes, and it was the worst packaging job. I ordered a pump, a cold-cathode, two round cables, and they were in a huge box just flying around. The only other thing in the box were some padded envelopes which I think they planned to stuff with my products. Well they were neatly lined up to the side, empty, while my products were just flying around the box, from Fremont to Wilmington to San Diego. That kind of compounded the problems and prompted me to write this review.

Ordered Oct 10th. Sent 6 emails and only got a response on the last one. The owner decided to ship it two day airborne since they took 5 business days to ship. I am not going to relay my opinion, just the facts.

I've placed two orders with this company and both have been unsatisfactory.  
 
Although the prices they offered were lower than other places their customer service was lacking.  
 
About half the items on their site were marked as "Out of stock". The items I ordered were NOT marked this way, but the shipping was delayed because they were indeed out of stock.  
 
Attempts to get support after a purchase were futile. I never received a response unless I threatened to cancel my order. Even then it was very short and didn't answer my questions.  
 
If I had known their service was so poor, I would have gladly paid a few dollars more for the same items somewhere else.  
 
I do not recommend this store.

I ordered my cpu cooler on sunday, June 22nd from case mod and just let things go by smoothly until yesterday, June 24th. I noticed that case mod had sent me 0 emails upon confirmation of my shipment or my order. The only emails i ever recieved were the ones stating that they took my money from me, and my credit card statement verifies that www.case-mod.com did actually take my money on sunday, same day of order.  
 
It has been 4 days since the order, my order is still apparently pending, how can that be since my money was already receieved on the same day of the order. I have tried calling the phone number of 408-239-0676, memory full on the voicemail. Their fax number is the same as their voicemail, which is never picked up and you cannot leave a voicemail since its full. I physically drove to the address on their website @ 2980 E Capitol Expwy Ste 50  
San Jose, Ca 95148  
trying to find a human being to talk to, no luck, its a postal annex, just a shipment postal office. Lies, lies and more lies is what i see posted on their website. Their phone number listed on my credit card statement of 408-437-1833 is out of service, and redirects you to 408-239-0676.  
The only email provided is sales@case-mod.com, no customer service, no rma or anything else like their disclaimer claims.  
 
It is a neverending loop, you cannot talk to anyone, you cannot get a hold of anyone, you recieve no replies for 2 days, if not longer, and your money is already taken from you without any promise of a product. After reading reviews on this website, i went against my better judgement and thought i'd give them a shot, i made a horrible mistake.  
 
If you can read this case-mod.com, please reply to my emails or my phone number listed in them, it is local to you @ 408 and wont cost you a dime to talk to me. I just want to know the status of my order and should not have to go through resellerratings.com to get a hold of you.

If cannot, or will not contact me in a short perid of time, i will go to the authorities, and i do work at a bank. Please do not put me through this hassle.

Thanks for the reply case-mod.com, i am sorry it had to come to this situation but place yourself in my place, maybe i did expect too much from a smaller company but i think almost everyone does.  
 
There was no email listings like you have in your privacy disclosure for customer contact, rma, or anything else, just sales@case-mod.com. Your physical address only lead me to a postal annex, your phone number on my credit card statement was no longer in service, and i just did not understand why my order was pending after 4 days of money being withdrawn. I did not mean to be harsh in the review, i just wanted to know the status of my order is all......

Anytime we receive a "Final warning before lawsuit" email we immediately cancel the order and issue a full refund; it is an internal policy of ours. In the future, we recommend waiting 24-48 hours for an email reply as you would with Dell, Tiger, NewEgg or other online vendors. We are a much smaller company than those guys so we think it is reasonable for us to reply in the same time frame as them. We received 3 emails within 48 hours from you, the third one caused cancellation of the order.  
 
We have mentioned on our website that the phone number is only for business customers and email is the best option for end users; this is so that customers don't become frustrated if they are unable to reach someone as we don't staff the phones for 24 hours. Yes, we are an internet company and operate as such and do not have a will-call window.  
 
The OCZ Vendetta can still be shipped to you. If you are interested, please send an email with your order number and we can get the order put back into the queue.  
 
We also want to address your accusation of our company being fraud. We have no history of taking and keeping a customer's money. Even your order has already been refunded in full.  
 
We also encourage the hundreds of customers each week who successfully make purchases with us to please post your experience here to offset some of the undeserved ratings we receive and to better represent the true buying experience.

Well this is my first time purchasing from this site.I will update this review as it progress since i have not received the item yet. I felt the need to say a few things. 1.) if you are looking for a site to order from that responds to your emails where your orders are concerned the i DON'T RECOMMEND this site. I am use to dealing with ordering online and if something goes wrong with the order to be able to call a number or get fast email responses. Not from these guys. I made an order on monday of this week, i ordered 4 memory heatsinks and the aeromaster fan controller, well they got the money from my card very fast but i got and email from them the next day stating the heatsinks from the memory card are no longer in stock. So i kindly asked for a refund of that with shipping since they already charged my account for the money and for them to send the cooler. Now things get interesting, i got no response and when i check my order on their site it still says pending, they got my money already and it still says pending. this was tuesday, and now its thursday and it still says pending, i have emailed them numerous times and only got 1 response saying they will refund the money for the heatsinks but nothing else, nothing about when will my controller ship or anything, and there is no refund pending on my account. I will give them a few more days before i contact my credit card company on this matter. Out of all the years ihave been ordering online this is the WORST expierence i have ever had. Customer service here sucks and i wont be recommending anyone to buy from them. When you are dealing with peoples money you should offer them prompt customer service. I am very uneasy on the fact that i havent received my item or refund but they charged my card already. Now if someone from their site feels the need to comment on this all i have to say is this, YOU SHOULD LEARN TO UPDATE THE ORDER STATIS ON YOUR SITE MORE FREQUENTLY, AND RESPOND TO EMAILS MORE PROMPT.

Shortly after writing this it seems the order page was updated. Now it shows refunded for what was not in stock and what was in stock as shipped and there is a tracking number. AS i said before it seems the only problem with these guys seem to be the lack of prompt response time with sales and customer service, will give final update when i receive the item.

Got the item this morning through usps priority mail. I am just happy to have my item and i got the refund of the item they didnt have in stock. Would i purchase from them again .. probably not. the lack of communication and no number for you to call and reach them does not sit well with me and i wish i had done my research before ordering from them. If you dont care about responses from customer service or updates on your order status then by all means this is the place for you. But if you like to be on top of your order at all times like me this stay away.

My experience was somewhat bad, I ordered my part and paid for U.S.P.S 2-day express shipping (For FedEx and UPS shipping they wanted around 100$dollars! could just be because of my rural location) they "shipped" my order on the 16th I didn't get a tracking number from them so I concluded that U.S.P.S was taking a long time to ship my order. A week later I called them and their local post office had just returned the item to them for some unstated reason so the next day the shipped the item out again(When I called them the second day the employee I talked to was very helpful and gave me a tracking number). I just got the item today (09/26/05) and looking at the package I noticed that the first time they shipped out the item they didn't use the correct amount of postage. I can understand mistakes and realize that they are a small business but it would be very helpful if they would contact me when there's a problem with the order, and answer their emails quicker. Improving their communication would really help their store rating.

Summary: Shoddy customer service and glacially slow shipping. I didn't think retailers like this survived the .com bust.  
 
Here is a brief timeline of my order  
 
1/28: Placed order online for a heatsink/fan combo, thermal paste, and 5 fans, paid $7.59 for Fedex Live (5-day) shipping.  
1/31 11:06pm: Recieved email stating that the order has shipped.  
2/2 6:18pm: Fedex tracking page shows that the package is "in transit"  
2/9: A package is delivered.  
 
This is where the trouble began. The box delivered was a USPS priority mail box, and was left on my step. I opened it to find it included the HSF and thermal paste, but no fans. A packing list said that the fans were "ETA 2/4" and "Customer notified". Since we were 5 days after 2/4 I assumed the USPS box contained part of my shipment and the fans should've arrived via that Fedex, and wondered if the package was lost.  
 
2/10: I email case-mod.com asking about status of the order, and recieve a prompt reply (kudos!). The reply urged me to check with my neighbors for the lost package, because: "we sent out what we were supposed to when we were supposed to".  
 
2/14: I examine the label closer and realize that the USPS box was actually sent fedex. The question now is where are the fans? I send an email on 2/14 asking when I could expect them, and giving my thoery that the fans either hadn't shipped or may have been sent USPS (based on a statement in the first email that "The USPS portion of the order was sent out as the remaining items on the list"). No reply.  
2/15: I send a follow-up email asking when to expect the fans, and recieve no reply.  
2/16: I send a follow-up email asking when to expect the fans, and recieve a reply at 10pm stating that "Your backordered Stealth fans were sent via Fedex 2 day" and gives a tracking number. No explanation was given for the delay or the complete misstatements of previous updates.  
2/17: Fedex picks up package from shipper.  
2/21: Package delivered with fans.  
 
 
Part of this is my confusion, having seen the USPS box and picked it up with the mail I assumed it was USPS, it wasn't until I started to try and figure out what happened to the fans that I checked and saw the fedex label. The bulk of the fault lies with shoddy customer service though; the 2/10 email stating "what we were supposed to when we were supposed to" was obviously a lie and my account hadn't even been checked. Additionally I was never notified that the fans were backordered (unless you count the packing list of the first package which said "customer notified" as that notification.  
 
Having now read other reviews of this retailer I'm sure this response will gather some sort of reply from case-mod.com. I've presented the facts of my experience and note many others with similar experiences. I certainly would never trust this retailer with an important or time critical order.

This is the second time I've dealt with Case-mod.com. The first time, I had problems. My order was delayed. This was a few years ago, so I thought I'd give them another chance. That was a mistake.  
 
I placed my order on January 19th. By the 24th, I'd heard nothing regarding the status of my order. I emailed them and they told me that it was a problem with the powersupply, and that the manufacturer would drop ship it. The rest of my order would ship that day. I told them that this was fine. By the 26th, my order still had not shipped. I emailed them once again, and my email was ignored. It did finally ship that day. I received the power supply a few days later. On 2/3 I received the rest of the parts, only to discover that 3 out of 4 of the fans I'd ordered, my ATA cable, and one of my dual green cathodes were all on backorder and didn't ship. I was never notified of this until my box showed up...missing pieces.  
 
Successful retailers keep their customers informed of problems, they don't just ship half an order. I will NEVER do business with case-mod.com again, and will discourage anybody else I know from doing so. Had I actually been contacted and my emails answered, I would have been ok with the delay. However, if I need to go elsewhere and pay a few bucks more just to keep informed, I'll do so.

I ordered from case-mod because they had the specific case I was looking for. Customer support was good for the most part. I emailed them about paying for my order via money order and the next week they put money order as a payment method on the site. Sadly, though, when I finally recieved my case I found that it was not the specific style shown on the site. For 80+$ I would have expected better. Shipping was fast and cheap though.
