I ordered (2) Thermaltake radiators on the morning of Fri. May the 30th, my card was finally charged on Monday June the 2nd, I then canceled my order I made Saturday May the 31st w/ another online retailer that seemed to "have a pulse" lol

It is now Sunday June the 8th, & I still do not have a confirmation e-mail, & their website says I have not placed an order.

No sign of intelligent life whatsoever

Maybe it wasn't in stock?, & they are waiting for me to cancel so they can collect a 15% restocking fee for a product they never had in stock??

btw. I had to load Outlook Express just to e-mail them to request a confirmation e-mail, & a estimated delivery date (which has been ignored). lol

Does this seem normal to any 1????

Will update:

I called my cc issuer, they assured me that if I don't have product in hand on Monday June the 9th that they are going to "handle business", sadly my wife has to sit home all weekend waiting for a package that we know neither the day, nor the time of day it will be delivered, if @ all

@ this point I woundn't piss in their ears if their brains were on fire

ps. Just ordered a WD Caviar 640GB HDD today from newegg, they processed my order, charged my cc, & sent me (2) e-mails in less than 5 min.

Guess what? shipped out same day!!!!

I have learned my lesson, I will never deal w/ this web-trash again

To JokerF15: Place the pipe @ your feet, back slowly away from the pipe, & take care of your business

Well, it is Tuesday June the 10th, & my cc has been credited w/ my refund in full w/ no explanation, guess I will never know what their malfunction was

btw, they just screwed up w/ a guy that spends $10K a year w/ newegg building PC's for family, friends, co-workers, & fellow church members, probably no big deal to them as their family business is obviously overwelmed as their sales have grown, & they are now in over their heads

Word of advice: HIRE HELP!, & recover the good reputation you seemed to have earned in the past

Good Day Sir!

Ray Bellamy

peace

Edit: Really?, thruout the entire ordeal I successfully logged into my account on your website w/ ocgw@comcast.net, & my password where it still says I never have placed an order

To be fair I also logged on w/ "ocgw@comcas.net", & see an account, it says "pending, cancelled, & ETA mid July

But let's give you the benefit of the doubt, what did your e-mail say? Why was my order not wrapped, & delivered?

Inquiring minds want to know

My guess? You swiped my card on an item back-ordered, & not in stock, my suggestion? check & see if you have an item in stock BEFORE swiping ppl's cc, better yet update your website so ppl know what you have in stock

"later"

ehhmmmm.......much later, much, MUCH later

Our apologies for lack of communication. The account was created with an email address "@comcas.net" and all our emails to you were being sent to that incorrect domain.

The first warning about this company is that THEY DO NOT PROVIDE A CONTACT PHONE NUMBER. If you call the number on the credit card statement, no one answers. This is a prime trait of a company dealing in illegal practices. What are they afraid to hide? Can you name any one retail store on the up and up that you cannot call? What are they afraid of hiding? Did all their stock, "Fall off the truck"? Do they not speak English? Are they laundering money for organized crime or something?

In the course of my order this company has not answered a single email from me. Not one. There has only been one automated update on the site telling me my order would be shipped a faster rate, but no updates as to where my order is, if the item is even in stock anymore, what's going on. Nothing. No updates, no contact, no order received.

Be extremely wary ordering from this company. No phone number is provided. Their practices smack more of a retail looking to rip off the customer than to serve them.

Update as of 1/7/08: As of this moment Case-mod has finally done something regarding my case. They have sent me a tracking number and have sent the package with next-day FedEx as their automated email said they would. My order status has now changed to shipped. The email I received is still an automated one and I have yet to receive an email from a human being replying to my emails. I will update the review further upon the receipt of equipment.

Update - 1/8/08 - The product arrived. Rather than placing the item in a larger box for shipping and sending it the seller simply slapped a label on the manufacturer's box and sent it out the door. Luckily, the original box does appear to be packaged and meant for shipping. However when I open it I find that I have been sent the wrong item! The item I ordered comes in black and silver. It clearly shows in my order that I ordered the silver, but I was instead sent the black instead. I doubt this will ever be resolved and I suppose I will simply live with the black, even though it won't really match my case anymore.

A final note. It's very sad this order went this way. The seller could have made good on this order though simple communication. Non-communication have made this company one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. With service like this, Case-mod doesn't deserve to be in business, their staff is unfit to work, and at this rate will be populating the lines at soup kitchens before long.

I think resellerratings needs to remove "Online order tracking" and "Customer Support" from the list of supported services above. My order has been "pending" on case-mod.com since I ordered it 5 business days ago. I sent an email 2 days ago from my email address, and another early yesterday through Google Checkout and have received no response from case-mod.com. I wouldn't mind if it was backordered or drop shipped, or even if they were on vacation from new years, I just want SOME kind of response. If I knew the status of my order I could at least stop worrying about it. As of now my credit card HAS been charged, but I don't have a clue what the status of my order is. VERY poor communication, NO phone number, and as far as I can tell a non-functional "order status" page on their site.

UPDATE: Sunday, Jan. 6 - got an email from case-mod.com saying they were on vacation and my order will be shipped within the next 24 hours.

UPDATE 2: Sunday, Jan. 6 - I requested a shipping upgrade for my troubles, this was their response: Since you are in Southern California, FedEx Home Delivery is the best way to go since it is guaranteed to be there Wednesday. Instead of a shipping upgrade, we’ve included a free mouse pad for you and hope it works with the new mouse.

They also claimed to be under new management since 1/1/08. That may be true, but it would have been VERY simple to put a little note on the front page of their site saying they'd be gone and nothing would ship until the 7th. As of Sunday night my order status is changed to shipped and I have a tracking number... even though it won't be picked up until Monday.

UPDATE 3: Wednesday, Jan. 9 - received my package. FedEx left it on the doorstep, even though I never requested that happen, I'm just glad I was home sick from work. Everything was packaged fine, but I got the small mobile version of the mouse I ordered, not the full desktop sized one. Nowhere on the case-mod.com product description does it state the mouse would be a mobile version. The product description is DIRECTLY copy/pasted from the manufacturers website. I sent an email to case-mod.com hoping to get a response today, I offered to ship the mouse back if they can cross-ship the correct one. Still no phone number to contact them.

UPDATE 5: 1/11/08 Got an email back with a return shipping label and a promise to ship me the correct mouse when it is in stock next week, all at no extra cost to me. Looks like they ARE reliable.. just slooooooowwww to respond.

I placed an order on Monday December 3rd, 2007. I received a Welcome email and an order confirmation email, immediately. However, on Wednesday the 4th I checked their website to see if anything had happened with my order and the status was "Pending". My credit card cleared the charge on 12/05/07. I emailed them on Wednesday the 5th to find out what the status of my order was and got no reply. I also tried calling them on Friday the 7th of December (their phone number showed up on my credit card statement) to only get a generic answering machine message. I also emailed them on the 7th and still have not gotten a response to the status of my order. I understand that it is the Holiday season and that the might be busy, however an email letting me know the progress of my order would be appreciated, a "Pending" status on my order after my card has been charged has kind of got me wondering of the legitimacy of this company especially since they claim to ship 90 to 98% of their orders within 24 to 48 hours.
{At Case-Mod.com, our aim is to ship all orders as soon as possible. We are able to ship all in stock items within 24 hours. In fact, 90% of orders ship in less than 24 hours and 98% of orders have shipped within 48 hours. Some orders placed on Sundays may ship out on Tuesday. Please do not contact us about the shipment of order until a reasonable time has passed. From time to time, items may become backordered or discontinued. We will contact you to inform you if there are any changes to the status of you order. You can check the status of your order by logging into your account and viewing your "Order History."} Taken directly from Case-Mods website, in the Shipping and Returns Link.
As of right now I am not satisfied with the way my order has been handled, all I want is a response to know that my order is either being shipped, backordered or does not exist. I will try faxing them today and see if that gets a response. I have ordered many things online and this is by far the most frustrating experience I have had.

This customer's order was shipped in 48 hours on 12/5 and delivered to his home on 12/10 as scheduled. Just a bit overzealous as some others who come to post here against retailers. We always encourage the 100's of customers who have positive experiences to post here to offset some of these types of posts. This customers order shipped in 48 hours yet he posts a 'very dissatisfied'.

I ordered a Cooler Master RS-A00-EMBA 1000 Watt Power Suppy because they have it on special price of $199.99 on October 12, 2007. Then on October 14, I got an email from them saying that the product is no longer available for that price and they offered other power supplies instead. Sounds like bait and switch to me. I mean if it's no longer available for that price, why was it still on the special page and I was able to order it. So I told them to cancel my order. I then check my balance on my card and found out that my card has been charged already October 12 same day I ordered. If they were not going to honor the price, why was I charged in the first place? It took them 2 days to say that the product is not available for that price but I was charged instantly. It's October 16, I just got an email from them that my status of my order has been refunded. That's two days after I told them to cancel my order. I don't know when they're really going to refund my money back which shouldn't have been charged in the first place.

Customer placed order at 11pm on Friday night. We discovered the item had sold out and emailed him on Sunday morning at 11am and offered him two similar products from the same series which were also on clearance.

After we didn't receive an email response, we promptly issued a full refund for the purchase.

Hey, sometimes an item sells out and there is not much we can do except communicate as quickly as possible with the customer, which we did in this case.

I've ordered from Case-Mod.com three times now, and every time has been great. They were out of stock once, and they upgraded me for free to a better product, they're quick and have good service. I've even gotten a few extras in my shipment on occasion. ;)

I'd buy from Case-mod.com over another reseller, even if Case-mod.com has a higher price.

I ordered 3 coolermaster stacker 4-in-3 modules.
I ordered them March 18.
Though they were not listed as being out of stock,
case-mod sent me an email March 21 saying they were not in stock, but should be in stock by the end of the month. I replied to their email, asking for a discount. They did not reply to my email. I sent them another email April 2 asking for an order status. I did not get a reply. I made a negative review on resellerratings.com. I got a reply from case-mod.com asking me why I gave them a bad review. They said they got my two earlier emails, but didn't reply because they didn't have any news. They said I was already using a discount coupon, and couldn't get a price break. They claimed that they said the modules were out of stock when I ordered initially. They said they were getting some in and would be shipping in a few days and would send a tracking number.
They asked me to change my review. I didn't.
I checked back with them a few days later and found out that they had cancelled my order without letting me know. I changed my review to say no comment for everything. I contacted them and they agreed to send the order. It was shipped. It did not contain a free bonus item that they initially said they were shipping. I am now updating my review with the complete story. I will include all email correspondence with them at my site www.weasel.com. I feel they pressured me to change my review. I think it unfair of them to cancel my order without telling me. I think it unfair of them to sell an item, and later mention that it isn't in stock.

Jeff is one of those persons who only post on resellerratings when there are negative experiences (take a look at his 2 postings). It seems, he goes into an internet purchase with a pre-determined negative expectation. C'mon, he actually updates his website with 'weasel of the month.' Nice life.

All are welcome to view the emails we sent to him (listed on his website) and come to their own conclusions. Notice the professional and complete emails we have written to him.

The truth is this: the price was too good for him to go anywhere else! Even after his order was cancelled, he had his wife call us. She literally *begged* us to re-issue the order because she and her husband had been looking for days and couldn't find the items anywhere else for less. Surely he could have purchased them elsewhere if he was so dissatisfied with our service? After all, he does have "20 years experience buying and selling on the internet." (as he wrote in an email) C'mon, buying and selling on the internet since 1986? (His website looks like it is from 1986.)

Resellerratings.com is a great tool for sellers and buyers. Unfortunately, some buyers don't understand how to use it. One shouldn't just post when something wrong happens. Jeff has been buying and selling on the internet for 20 years, but has only posted twice at resellerratings.com and both were for bad experiences he had. Moreover, a very dissatisfied (0/10) is for a company that commits fraudulent or illegal activities such as bait and switch or other scams. Not answering an email within 24 hours is not a reason to leave a 0/10. A 5/10 would have sufficed here.

Our record proves we have never committed any type of fraud or scams. Even in this case, the customer did receive his items in new, working condition in the timeframe we had mentioned to him when his order was placed. He was just mad that we wouldn't offer an additional discount after 2 discounts were already applied. Moreover, he had 2 weeks to cancel the order if he so wished, but he chose not to.

Overall, I am glad I chose this business. I will buy from this site again. That being said, I think they could improve customer service. I made a mistake and ordered a cooler that fit the wrong graphics card. Sometimes you need to get in contact with the retailer. I sent email, and tried to call. (By the way, the online email submission set up on the website failed with a SQL Db error for both Firefox, and IE, so fix it.) After several attempts, I did finally get someone, but it shouldn't be that hard. At first, I had an uneasy feeling that I gave my credit card info to a dubious retailer, because this didn't inspire confidence in me. Someone should always be present to answer the phone. After reading reviews on this website, I think some people have been unnecessarily hard on the owner. From what I can tell, he his a younger man that wanted to own his own business, and he is accomplishing that. O.K. things aren't perfect, but I'll bet he's working his butt off trying to create a successful business. His prices and products are excellent. Give this guy a chance to work the kinks out, and he will do you right. I know he reads these things, so I would like to say thanks, and keep it up. When you get a little bit more money, crank up the advertising, I found you because I did a search for a product that most people will never purchase, and Newegg was out of. Also, GET SOMEONE TO MAN THE PHONES. I can't stress this enough.

My purchase was placed on July 19, 2005 for two(2) 80mm case fans, a hard drive cooler, and some round HD cables. I received the order on the 26th of July. There was a handwritten note on the invoice(packing slip) indicating "one of the 80mm fans was discontinued". There was no indication of a refund or replacement of equal value.

I sent Case-Mod this email.2005/07/28 Thu PM 08:03:44

Thank you......

Having experienced >40 years as a corporate manager in customer service, it would seem appropriate to give the email no more than a "one day" if not an immediate response. Something tells me that I will be out the cost of the fan. So far, Case-Mod of San Jose, CA was NOT a good business decision on my part. If all issues get resolved this week I will update this review.

For 3 days after he placed his order, we tried to email and phone him. After our contact attempts failed, we shipped all but one fan and sent a personal, handwritten note about the 1 fan. We received a response from him on Thursday night 7/28 and a replacement fan was shipped on Friday 7/29.

It seems Mr. Corporate Manager (in customer service) just assumes the worst.

He did receive his fan promptly. Even with his >40 years experience in "customer service", it seems he never edited his review as promised.

Regardless, everyone is welcome to post their own opinions and feelings about any company on resellerratings.com. We have been in business for 4 years and our rating here proves that there is no pattern or resemeblance of abuse of customers or fraud.

Yes, from time to time we do mess up orders and it seems those 1-2 that we do mess up each month get posted here; those orders eventually get resolved. It would be wonderful if the thousand+ that do go smoothly each month would post on here as well.

I placed an order early in the morning on the website for one of the highest end power supplied available, and stated in the comment section of the order that I needed the order to ship same day or I would have to cancel the order. I did this because of some comments about some long delays on order processing here on ResellerRatings.

Around noon I got a phone call from case-mod.com with them stating the the item I ordered was not available to be shipped that day. I told him that I thought the website said it was in-stock, and he replied that it was listed as being available in a day, but the shipment they were suposed to get from the manufacturer had been delayed longer so that just changed.

While I was on the phone I explained the monster system I was building, what I was needing and asked him if there were any other comparable power supplied that they had in stock, and after listing a couple I told him I'd put in a little research and try to see if I could get the power supply I wanted from some other company and call him back if I was unsuccessful.

I called a friend up to get some advice on alternative power supplies, and while I was on the phone with him the guy from case-mod.com tried calling me back 4 times until I finaly got off the phone with my friend and answered his 5th call. He said that he found another power supply that he thought would work for what I was needing. He said that it hadn't been listed on their site yet, and they just got them in. Turns out the unit was better then the one I was trying to order, and I had searched previously for anyone who carried them and couldn't find it.

I was told over the phone I'd get a tracking # via email but I never recieved one. I don't think I even got a confirmation email that my order had been placed.

The main thing is that after talking with them on the phone, they backed up what they said, got my order out that day, and I had it in my hands the next day!

I am rating this company high because of the amount of effort and persistance they sought for my business, and in the end I got what I wanted, the biggest baddest powersupply overnighted to my door within a day.

I think some areas of improvement could be the way they list out of stock items at the bottom of the product details page in red type. It is very easy to miss and asume the item is in stock. There should be some kind of noticable indication on the checkout page that an item is either in stock and available to ship or not. I think this would resolve a lot of issues with customer fulfilment expectations.

It would also be nice if they had an Add to Cart button at the top of the product details page also because it took me a while to figure out that I had to scroll 8 pages down to add the item to my cart.

This is the second time I've dealt with Case-mod.com. The first time, I had problems. My order was delayed. This was a few years ago, so I thought I'd give them another chance. That was a mistake.

I placed my order on January 19th. By the 24th, I'd heard nothing regarding the status of my order. I emailed them and they told me that it was a problem with the powersupply, and that the manufacturer would drop ship it. The rest of my order would ship that day. I told them that this was fine. By the 26th, my order still had not shipped. I emailed them once again, and my email was ignored. It did finally ship that day. I received the power supply a few days later. On 2/3 I received the rest of the parts, only to discover that 3 out of 4 of the fans I'd ordered, my ATA cable, and one of my dual green cathodes were all on backorder and didn't ship. I was never notified of this until my box showed up...missing pieces.

Successful retailers keep their customers informed of problems, they don't just ship half an order. I will NEVER do business with case-mod.com again, and will discourage anybody else I know from doing so. Had I actually been contacted and my emails answered, I would have been ok with the delay. However, if I need to go elsewhere and pay a few bucks more just to keep informed, I'll do so.

Case-Mod.com IS SLOW TO SHIP, UNRELIABLE, AND UNRESPONSIVE. DO NOT BUY HERE!! I LEARNED THE HARD WAY!!

I placed my order on Jan 19, 2005. The order confirmation page stated that I would shortly receive an email confirmation, but I never got one. On Jan 23 I began to wonder when my order would ship, as it was showing "Pending" status on the case-mod.com website, even though my credit card was charged the day I made the purchase. I called the phone number listed on the website which rang for a while then an answering machine with no greeting picked up. I tried calling about three times on Jan 23, and twice on Jan 24, both times also emailing the company's listed email address with my inquiry. At this point I looked further into the reviews of this merchant online, including the merchant's ebay account (username case-mod) and found numerous negative experiences with this company, especially relating to getting in contact with anyone. On Jan 25 I tracked down the domain name registration information and got the name of the owner of the company. Several google searches turned up a few more email addresses and about 6 phone numbers for a Furqan Rydhan. All of those phone numbers but the one on the case-mod.com website were disconnected. I sent another email to all of the email addresses threatening to dispute the charge if someone did not get in touch with my the following day, and I received a reply from furqan@case-mod.com stating that I would get a tracking number in my inbox by Jan 27. That day was today, and I have given up all hope of actually seeing a shipment, and having seen other complaints about this company, I firmly believe if I were to get a shipment, it would be damaged, non-functional, or missing components. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. They will screw you by ignoring you at first and preying on your ignorance, then they will make false promises to try and keep you going. Pay a little extra elsewhere -- it's worth it.

**UPDATE: RESPONSE TO CASE-MOD'S REPLY BELOW**
When I am promised a tracking number, I expect to see a tracking number. I got an email this morning from Furqan stating the order would be cancelled and the already-shipped package recalled. I asked for a tracking number as proof of shipment, but got no response. I NEVER received an email from this company even confirming the order, much less informing me of any delay in shipment or backorders on my product.

The owner of the company graduated from high school in 2002. This is what I said to him, and he thinks I am calling him a 'kid'. That's fine -- my review is only one of numerous very negative reviews on this site -- if this company cared as much about customer service as they do about replying to people's negative reviews here, there would not be so many people with negative experiences.

Bottom Line: Getting in touch with this company is next to impossible. Getting proof that your order shipped OVER A WEEK AFTER IT WAS PLACED is next to impossible. The hassle is not worth it. Do not shop case-mod.com!

Customer Was contacted within ~2 business days of a delay on the lilliputs. We used the email address provided in his order. No response was received from him. We got the item and shipped it out when it was possible. I personally emailed him to assure that it would be shipped out as soon as we have it and gave him an eta.

He emailed again on the night of the 27th saying that he did not get a tracking # so assumes we are fraud. We have already gone ahead and cancelled his order and authorized a return from fedex. Customer also speculates on many items such as calling us 'kids' who don't know how to run a business. Our business hours are from 11am to 5pm pst. The phone is not staffed @ all hours, and all emails are replied to within 24 hours on normal business weeks.

Customer assumes many items but the facts speak differently.

The phone # listen on our site is our company #, it works fine Customer may have dialed incorrectly.

Ordered my Aero 4 Lite on November 30, 2004. It has been 8 days and I have had no word on where it is. I was ordering this for a birthday present expecting I would have it atleast 3 days early with Priority Mail. My friend's birthday was yesterday and I promised him to get him this present and said I will give it to him as soon as I get it. So much for me surprising him with this, since his CPU overheats alot he really wanted this. Terrible service, will never do business with this website again.
