NewEgg has come through! I purchased an online product that must have immediately went on sale the next day and, in a very brief and friendly phone call, they credited my account without any hassle. I was made to feel like a valued customer even after the purchase. Unusual in this day. Jim D
Have been a regular customer since 2005. Shipping fast, service is impeccable, selection is wide and prices are fair. Granted some of the product return/warranty policies may make some cringe, but is no worse than most stores.
I ordered a D-Link repeater and it would not recognize another D-link router or ant router. Tech support for D-Link said it was defective. But that I should try a different technology to solve my problem (the reason I was using a repeater)anyhow. I asked for a refund instead of a replacement which then incurs a restock fee when you apply for the RMA. I called customer service and said I would be replacing the repeater but with different equipment and they cheerfully refunded my restock fee. I just recently started buying from Newegg and this will keep me returning to them for other purchases.
Newegg is great I love thier selection and customer service they are just a top notch company. I have built alot of computers through them and with this order I had so much trouble with the hardware being bad or making other hardware to fail that they took everything back. I will be ordering different components to replace these through newegg because of there costomer service. Thank god there is still a company like newegg that dose the right things to bring thier costomers back time and time again. Thanks NewEgg.
Newegg.com is currently the No. 1 computer hardware vendor on the Internet. I have had experience with many other major online computer and electronic dealers, but the service offered by these competitors do not rival that of Newegg. The best aspect of Newegg is currently their customer service; if you have a problem, or if they have made a mistake, they are QUICK to make it right and to ensure your satisfaction. I wish more companies did this! If they continue this practice of A+ customer service, they will always have my business.
I think NewEgg is the best place to order parts for computers. I have been building and repairing computers for ten years and for the last seven have been buying from NewEgg. I recently got some memory and it was DOA. NewEgg gave me a refund and a shipping lable to return it. I wil continue to use NewEgg for years to come.
I have ordered from Newegg many times in the past and each time has been a great experience. They process orders quickly and their shipping is priced fair and is fast.
The one time I contacted customer service about a product I had just ordered that dropped in price, they were extremely helpful and refunded me the difference.
I ordered a Raidmax case from Newegg and had it sent to a friend in Georgia. The case arrived on the promised day, however, it had sustained severe damage during shipping.
We had decided to just remove the power supply and fan and put them in his old case to avoid what was sure to be a major hassle. Before doing that, however, I decided to call Newegg just to see what they'd say.
Peter told me it would be no problem at all. I ordered a new case and he provided overnight shipping at no charge. He sent me an RMA for the damaged case and a pre-paid ups label to return it. DONE!
I order over $100,000.00 a year in computer parts. There are a lot of places that sell for a good price. There are so few that provide good service.
The true test for any company is what happens when there is a problem. Newegg and Peter get an A+.
Newegg provided the best possible service. The product which I had ordered did not function for the purpose it was ordered for. I called their customer support and they refunded the monies immediately, without any hussle or annoying questions. I RECOMMEND THEM ANYTIME and will use for further orders.
I purchased two Samsung monitors from NewEgg last week. Over the weekend, prior to even recieving the new monitors, I saw that they had a weekend special on these monitors at $10 less than what I had paid. I contacted their customer service and asked if I could get the lower price, and they said no problem and that they would credit it back to my credit card.
Great customer service and a regular company that I deal with and would highly recomend.
The customer service rep was very accomodating and helpful in resolving my experience with a defective product. I would recommend anyone to use Newegg.com for their outstanding product selection, prices, and commitment to customer support!
Ordered WD hard drive on 7-29. Rcvd the order on 7-31. Wrong item was shipped. Contacted new egg and got r/a. Here's where it gets bad. They would not ship the correct item that I ordered until they got THEIR mistake back and "processed" it. They called it a repair. I got the item I actually ordered on 8-20. Contact by e-mail is automated which allows almost no interaction. Contact by phone is almost impossible. I would have expected them to jump to correct their own order picking error but not so. I included a letter of disgust with my return. That too was never responded to. Seems they are ok as long as all goes well and customer service isn't required.
I prefer customer friendly vendors.
update: At least we know New Egg pays attenton after the fact. They posted a response here and actually phoned me to apologise and offer a credit on future purchases - no adjustment on the actual transaction. Too bad they didn't pay that much attention when I needed help. I'd still be a customer.
Update 9/7/08.
After this post I got another call from Newegg customer service supervisor. He was very apologetic and understood my original feelings.
He credited my account for the full purchase price of the original item. I now have a personal contact at Newegg (which I hope to never use) and will definitely consider them for my next purchase. As I customer, the only thing I could have asked was to reverse the levels of service, putting the best first. I'll try again.
