I've been shopping at Newegg for several years now and have generally been very pleased with them. However my customer service experience today went far above my expectations for a company that does so much business. I ordered a wireless keyboard with a promotion code and it was broken when I got it. I went on the website and processed a return/exchange and shipped it back to them. About three days later I got an email saying everything was received and they would be refunding my money. Curious about the refund instead of getting a new keyboard I emailed their customer service rep and received a response from Martin. Martin's response times were amazing. After dealing with a company that took two days to respond to emails it was a blessing to have someone respond within ten minutes. He was courteous and extremely helpful. Apparently they had gone out of stock with my item and were going to refund my money so I wouldn't have to wait for it to come back in. Instead I asked if I could just buy a different item and get credited for it. Sadly Newegg did not have a store-credit option; however they offered to give me my new item, along with the promotional discount I had originally applied to the keyboard! They even helped out with my shipping costs from sending back the defective keyboard. I cannot stress how great this company has always been to me. I would and do recommend this site to all my friends and coworkers. Thanks Newegg!
Newegg could not have given me better service and they had every understandable reason to deny me what they did. I had ordered a Foxconn motherboard that was bad and I sent it in for an RMA and ordered another Foxconn board to replace it...newegg changed the RMA from a replacement to a refund...I built a system around the new foxconn board that i receieved for a customer...I then figured out that it had a faulty RAM slot...I needed another board for another system I was building but I didnt want to deal with Foxconn anymore...so I ordered an ASUS and it worked perfectly...I then sent in the other Foxconn board in for an RMA and then immediately ordered another ASUS board to replace it...which it also works perfectly...however this time the foxconn rma was for a replacement bc it wouldnt let me choose refund....I had no use for a replacement on the board....so I contacted newegg customer support chat and spoke with Terry and Terry did a great job helping me out and getting the RMA changed to a refund instead of a replacement.....I could not have been happier with their service....they did not have to do this for me bc it clearly states that I was only entitled to a replacement...I was even willing to accept that they give me store credit for it instead of a refund bc I plan on doing more business with them....but now I will definitely be doing all of my business with them bc of their great customer support...they saved me 180 bucks and probably more hassle from a POS Foxconn board...thank you very much newegg...I greatly appreciate your services :)
Had a small discrepancy with the shipping charges- sent an email to CS to confirm that I received the advertised discount on one item on my order, and they refunded entire shipping charge without hesitation or question. NewEgg has really improved their customer service, their response time, and their shipping time. I'm very impressed with the new NewEgg and look forward to doing business with them again soon.
I've used Newegg several times over the past couple of years (as referred by a friend of mine who is very computer savvy). They have a wide selection and carry all sorts of parts and accessories at prices that have always been the lowest (even if only by a couple of bucks). What truly differentiates them is their incredibly quick turnaround time (they seem to have built on Michael Dell's contribution to supply management and honed these skills) and customer service. More specifically I ordered a plasma TV from them and before I received the TV I noticed the price had dropped. I sent them an e-mail asking if there was some kind of price guarantee. As I expected, there was no such policy in place, but to my pleasant surprise they refunded the difference to my card.
I have made many purchases from Newegg over the years. Always a good experience. This one is worth writing about. I bought a highly rated motherboard as a part of a kit for building my latest computer. After the purchase, I decided to postpone my build until my backordered windows7 arrived. This decision meant I hadn't opened the motherboard box, and the Newegg official policy is no returns after 30 days.
Only now do I read on a well respected website, that the cpu socket on the motherboard I had purchased has been shown to have a defect. The testing site has shown burning between the socket and cpu during extreme overclocking, whether there is a problem at stock conditions is debatable.
While not accepting the socket is flawed the motherboard manufacturer released a new version of the board with the known "good" socket.
So, rather than build with the suspect board, I purchased the new board, and asked Newegg to waiver their 30day return policy.
Newegg agreed to extend their refund policy to allow me to return the first motherboard, and their handling of this was simply all about serving my needs.
This type of service deserves notice. They have earned my return business.
: I just finished retrieving an invoice from November 2008! I had ordered a pack of TDK discs and had just gotten around to using them, when I noticed they were failing. I checked the discs and noticed the edges were damaged - appeared to be stress fractures or scratches. I called TDK and they explained they could do nothing without a receipt. Also they would require I send the bad media back to them. I negotiated settling on forgoing returning the media (due to shipping expense) and rather work exclusively from the receipt. I was not able to find my receipt from the original shipment. Fortunately, I was able to locate the receipt on the NewEgg site. Way to go NewEgg! Great customer service!
I forgot to order another item and wanted to avoid the shipping. I contacted the CSR by live chat and he said that he could MODIFY the order but he could cancel it and then I can place the order again with the additional item. Quick and courteous response.

I needed a DVI adapter for my setup at home but as it turns out that when you need something small, you usually justify buying something else. :p
What I justified buying was an 8-port gigabit switch for my home computers. As I was comparing prices at Newegg, I noticed a pretty good (and cheap) D-Link switch and decided to take my chances on it.
As I was getting ready to add it to my cart and checkout, I noticed that there was some text at the top of the item description that said there was a "free PC wireless adapter with purchase, valid until 4/11" subtext underneath it. But in the shopping cart there was no adapter to add.
So I hopped on online chat and talked with Ivan about the matter. As I talked with him, I decided to open a copy of the item listing, and with the refresh of the page I noticed that the text was gone. Saddened, I expected Ivan to tell me it was a mistake and that it's not a valid promotion anymore. But to my surprise Ivan looked it up, found that I wasn't BS'ing, and had me e-mail him with my order number and BAM. Free PC wireless adapter included in my order.
I MUST say that Newegg is one of THE BEST online stores out there. GREAT prices, AWESOME customer support. Highly, HIGHLY, recommended.

He helped me fix a problem with my account and was more then helpful in crediting my account for the sales I missed out on due to I problem I had getting my card linked to my account so I could charge the order. I just wish their could be more people like him. He was very understanding and I'm just glad I received his help
the refurb router i ordered works so bad so i chat with newegg agents. since the item is out of stack, i'm offered a full refund. Great custom service! now i'm waiting for the refund back to me.
Purchase a Samsung 23in LCD monitor (N82E16824001317) from newegg. At the time the price was 219.99 however 2 days after I placed the order they had a special on it for 199.99 I advised them of this price change and requested a credit. They advised me as a long term member and loyal customer they would be able to credit me the $20 difference no problem with free shipping.
What a great company! Customer service is beyond acceptable.
EXCELLENT Customer Service !!! I bought a laptop bag. The zips weren't working properly. Just on a chat session itself, newegg refunded the entire amount promptly. The whole experience was EXCEPTIONAL and I would highly recommend newegg based on all my previous experiences.
newegg is awesome. just awesome. even in these tough economic times, their customer service shines. i placed an order for all the components for a new pc. a day later i got their email notification saying my order had shipped - except it didn't list the PC case. doh! i figured it was probably just going to go on a separate shipment, but wanted to confirm, since it said nothing else in the order email. i started a chat session with a Terry Deng in customer service, and asked if the case had been overlooked or was just shipping seperately. he checked and within about a minute confirmed it was shipping separately, and gave me a UPS tracking number. no muss, no fuss, no long wait on an 800 line, just efficient customer service. newegg is the best. period.
