Newegg is by far the best online retailer I have ever dealt with. Their prices and selection are both outstanding, and the free shipping on a lot of items makes a sweet deal even sweeter. I'm proud to say that I will be using Newegg exclusively from now on.

Customer support was unable to modify my order two hours after I placed it.. because the warehouse had already boxed it and prepped for ship. Wow. Cancelled, reordered it, got one box two days later and the other two the day after that. All on their cheapest shipping option.
Had two experiences with them thus far, a year apart, and two contacts with customer reps. All A+. Have recommended them to friends and will consider very carefully before using a different vendor.
Look on the 9/5 posts. You'll see that they monitor this board, too, checking out the customer feedback.

If you are ordering any products that include FREE shipping, place those products in a SEPARATE ORDER!
The Newegg shipping calculator is flawed. I placed an order that contained items with free shipping. I first added the items that incurred shipping charges. The shipping charge was $19.42. Then I added two processors and a stick of memory (all free shipping) and the shipping charge went up to $21.79! What kind of free shipping is that?? I sent Newegg an email explaining this situation. Here is what they wrote back:
"Dear Customer,
Our shipping prices are per item unless your order accumulates several items. We have 2 warehouses and not all items ship from the same warehouse and cannot be boxed together. Also, some items are pre-boxed and ready to go to speed up processing time.
All item and shipping prices are per our website and final."
From this response it seems like they didn't even understand what I was saying to them.
From now on I'm placing a separate order for items with free shipping. The shipping charges are way too high to begin with (whatever happen to "actual shipping cost"??) You shouldn't give them any more than you have to.
UPDATE: 9/13/02
Newegg has resolved this issue with me. They informed me that they are currently working on this issue with the shipping calculator.
It didn't come through in my original comment, but I DID give newegg high ratings across the board. Clearly, this is just a coding oversight. I was simply trying to inform. As everyone knows, Newegg is a great company to order from and I will continue to order from them.

I don't know if I can add much more to what has already been said but I'll try. NewEgg has been a pleasure to do business with because, unlike many retailers these days, they still value and treat their customers very well. Thanks NewEgg!
I ordered a 17" Monitor from them because it had the best price (with shipping considered) than any other I saw on buycomp.com, and because I know from before that newegg is competent. They sent me a confirmation email immediately, shipped it the next day and sent me a tracking number, and the monitor arrived on time and undamaged. Excellent.
After checking this site and finding a favorable rating, I decided to purchase a retail cd rom drive. got just what i ordered, well packed and quickly shipped.over all a very easy and enjoyable experence. Will buy from again when the need arises.
I have ordered several thousand dollars worth of computer hardware from Newegg.com over many separate orders, and have been 100% satisfied. I have an APO address and Newegg never failed to ship my goods promptly. Their prices are great, and selection is outstanding. I usually had to order from 4-5 different online stores to get what I wanted when I built a computer; now Newegg usually has all or most of what I need! You need look no further for an online retailer to trust.
Best hardware reseller I have ever bought from and I have bought many parts from many different online stores. Shipping is cheap and fast. Costumer support is great.
This is the best company on the internet I've found. Bar none. I've ordered from them dozens of times, and they have never ceased to amaze me. My friend ordered two GXP IBM hard drives (the ones that like to crash). When they did crash (1 year later), newegg refunded him the money, which he used to buy a better, faster Maxtor hard drive that won't crash. They are awesome. If you have any doubts about a company on the internet (coughcoughEDGEMICRO), just try newegg. You'll be happy you did.
After order parts for my new computers from various site. WWW.NEWEGG.COM has offered the quickest service I have yet to see. Checking the status my item was shipped the next day compared the usual 3/4 days it takes other companies. The best part is the real time inventory on their website. My item was back ordered on computerexpo.com, so I came here and my item from newegg will reach my house before computerexpo recieves their shipment. So Thanks again for making life just easier.
Ive made atleast 6 orders from this company, atleast. They have the BEST customer service and best customer support Ive ever seen from a company. I never EVEN THINK about ordering from another place. Newegg is the the king of online retailers.
This is the first time I used NewEgg, and I have found a new home! TC Computer left me hanging on a mobo+cpu+ram. I originally ordered from them on 9/3, and as of today, I was still trying to get them to acknowledge my 3-day-old request to cancel the unfilled order. Back to NewEgg. I placed an order for the same mobo, a faster cpu (2100+ instead of 2000+), and the same ram early on the 10th. Even with extra shipping to do overnight and expedite, NewEgg was $8 LESS than TC for better stuff. I had the mobo and cpu in my hands on the 11th. That's ONE DAY from CA to Arkansas. The ram shipped from a different warehouse and was supposed to get here today (12th). NewEgg did its job, but FedEx had a problem in Indianapolis and won't deliver it till tomorrow. I called NewEgg to let them know that my $29 of overnight shipping charges wasn't going to pay off due to FedEx's mistake, and they are crediting my account $15. Use these guys. They are fast, they have good inventory and great prices, and they seem to really care about making customers happy.
***Update 9/17/2002***
I just wanted to note that not only did they post the promised $15 shipping credit, but they added an additional $2 and change (I can't remember the exact amt.). I can only guess that they looked at the actual refund that FedEx gave them as the shipper and passed it on to me. Outstanding.
