Overall I was pleased with this company for the excellent savings on the product. After placing my order for the Sony TRV-950 I got an email telling me to call them to verify my order (loss of time savings). While on the phone I was offered every last accessory possible. Like most people I ended up buying other products. By refusing the 4 year warranty one time I was able to get it down to $199.99 which is worth it. The thing that bothers me with this company is that the sales person doggedly pursued me on accessories to the point of belittling or exaggerating the products weaknesses or strengths in order to get me to buy more. Much of what he said was incorrect according to their website. He said the stock battery lasts only 30 minutes, Sony lists it at 90 minutes and in use it easily goes 60 with heavy usage. Another example has to do with spending $1800 on a camcorder and not putting it in a titanium case so I could "throw it over a ship". Although, if I bought the 4 year warranty I could drop the camera and it would still be repaired. I would buy from them again because of the tremendous price savings but as usual, buyer beware. Know ahead of time what you want and what to expect from the manufacturer. I will give the credit for delivering a US made product (not gray market) with US warranty at a huge price savings.

Placed an order on 9/19, person taking order was very short and rude. Told him I was only ordering one item, and wanted to keep the total including shipping under $700.00. He immeadiatly asked "Why?", and I told him it was being purchased on an education grant. He had no comment after that, spent five minutes typing, and quickly said "hope you enjoy it" and hung up....never gave me a chance to ask any questions or even for an invoice number. I ordered the item via 2 day Fed-Ex, and that was a week ago. Have yet to receive the item, and my credit card was charged on 9/20. Received no confirmation email. Nothing even shows up on the order tracking page of their web site. I did get a reply to one email, though......they told me they couldn't track my order unless I provided an order number (that's literally all the email said "need order number to track") - BUT I NEVER GOT ONE! If I actually receive the order tomorrow, I'll be happy just to have to it all said and done. I would not, however, recommend anyone ever actually purchase from these people. It's worth the extra money to know you're actually going to get what you pay for! I consider myself a level-headed rational person, and I know this goes beyond bad business ethics.
I ordered a Sony PC120BT from them on a Sunday and it was here by the following Monday. This was after a security call to confirm the order. I also picked up the 4 year extended warranty. They are easy to deal with and are NO pressure for accessories. Highly recommended!
I felt that a follow up on an earlier post was appropriate. I purchased a Nikon 4500 from Belinda at x211. The earlier post had to do with the ordering process and gave dbuys high marks on prices and courtesy. I had called prior to my purchase with quesions which were answered thoroughly and politely. Based on the site reviews, I ordered the camera which was delivered on time at an excellent price. Since then, I called Belinda twice with post purchase questions, again answered completely. I have no hestitation whatsoever about recommending dbuys as an excellent source and Belinda, in particular, as the sales representative.
Ordered a Canon G2 digital camera from Dbuys after much research of many online companies. I ordered at noon on Tuesday and it was delivered about 3 on Friday. I paid extra for the 2-3 day delivery but still saved 115.00 over Best Buys sale price. I spoke with Belinda @ ext 211. She was very helpful and did her job by trying to sell some accessories but no pressure at all. I highly reccommend this company, I will use them again and suggest you do too. I will buy from Dbuys and Belinda in the future.
I ordered a Minolta digital camera. The salesman who helped me was very courteous and knowledgeable. He helped me save money on the accessories I wasn't ready to buy yet, but am very glad I did. Shipment arrived promptly as promised. I would use this retailer again!
Ordered a Nikon Coolpix 4500 camera from their website from them on Sunday morning. Got a confirmation call from a salesman that afternoon. Was asked if I wanted to buy accesories, and extended warranty, which I kindly refused. No pressure tactic whatsoever. After that the order was processed.
Then the shipping notification e-mail came on Wednesday. Camera was in my hand by Friday afternoon via FedEX Express Saver. The packaging could be better but the camera was undamaged. Everything in the camera looked brand new. I'm a happy customer and would definitely recommend dbuys.com to anyone!
How easy does it get...I placed my order for a Nikon 5700 online. I was contacted by phone to confirm the address. It was gently brought to my attention about some special offers which I declined. NO PRESURE! In fact I was so pleased that I cancelled another order for another camera I had ordered with another online retailer and placed it with Dbuys...
I recently ordered a Canon G2 and Sony TRV27 from Dbuys.com on-line. Within a couple of hours I received an e-mail requesting a confirmation call. I called and spoke to Randy Marks. Was offered accessories,but declined. Randy was courteous, thanked me for my order, and said they would fax me with confirmation and tracking number. Because of a question by my credit card company that delayed shipping, I would not have received my order before I left on my vacation. Dbuys.com upgraded my shipping to 2 day Fed Express (from the 5-6 day I requested)with no additional charge. The cameras arrived yesterday as promised. It's THE BEST customer service I've ever received from an on-line vendor! Their prices are more than fair and customer service superb. I will shop with them again without question. Called Belind @ 211 and ordered DCR-TRV50 on Tuesday, got the confirmation on Wednesday and received the package on Thursday thru FedEx express saver.
Package was perfect with US warranty, no UPC code. I had a positive experience and satisfied, would highly recommend Dbuys.
I had a positive experience buying a Sony TRV25 camcorder from dbuys. I placed the order on Friday, received a non-rude confirmation call on Sunday, and it was in my hands on Wednesday! It works just fine too. No UPC code, but this doesn't affect the warranty at all. I hate mail-in rebates anyway, let them take the rebates and pass the savings on to us! I recommend dbuys.
This was my first purchase from dbuys.com and I was very happy with the process. The sales rep was courteous and knowledgeable and, when I told him I wasn't interested in packaged accessories, he asked what I was looking for and then worked with me on the prices of the accessories. I bought a Dimage 7i and a 340MB microdrive plus a few other small things. I would shop here again and recommend others do the same.
I know what all the five star ratings are for!! Dbuys.com is a GREAT company to do business with. Incredible prices (for legal, non-gray market goods), decent customer service, not too pushy sales people and resonable shipping times (ordered Monday received Friday with their cheapest shipping rate). THey did call to "confim" my address and "while I have you on the phone..." aked me to purchase some additional accessories. I politely told them that I don't need any and they simply said "ok" and shipped my camera (a Canon Powershot G2). Purchase price was $626, not bad.
